El camarero fue muy amable, explicándolo todo perfectamente y dándonos también consejos para nuestra estancia en Gibraltar. Volveríamos a ir por el trato recibido sin dudar.

I don’t care for fish that still has the skin. This was the best fish n chips that I have ever had. Didn’t mind the skin at all. The fish was so crispy and fried to protection! The owner and staff were very nice! Avoid the other fish n chips in the area and try this. You will not be disappointed! This picture is of the medium size. Only regret is we didn’t order a bigger size!

Wir wurden nett begrüßt. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr angenehm drinnen, bis auf den Typen, der meint, er müsste beim Spielautomaten den Knopf regelrecht erschlagen. Das Essen war sehr gut. Gerade die Remoulade(?) hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Auch der Preis war in Ordnung. Wir haben uns zu dritt ein XL und ein L geteilt, was wir auch nur knapp geschafft haben. Der Preis war auch in Ordnung.

Schöner, gemütlicher Pub mit geilem Cider und kühlem Guinness. Top Bewirtung, das Essen sah ebenfalls richtig gut aus. Klasse Ambiente – gefällt mir sehr!

Best fish and chips I had at Gibraltar. Good beer - Guiness, but u can choose cider or lager either. Warm place, nice owner.

We called in for a Sunday Roast. Everything was piping hot with good quality beef, washed down with an excellent pint of Guinness. All was gluten free for my wife, including the gravy and cauliflower cheese, washed down with a Kopparberg. Excellent chat from the Landlord.

A great pub with real beer and such welcoming staff. We wanted to watch a 6 Nations game but had dogs with us but they were welcomed the same way as us. There is an urban myth that Oliver Reed had his heart attack in the pub whilst drinking with the crew of HMS Cumberland....true or not it adds to the atmosphere of theirs lovely pub. We didn't eat but the food looked fantastic - the XXL fish and chips looked amazing.

You're not going to find anywhere to better this place. From the bar staff to the manager they're great at looking after you. We've just done 3 days in Gibraltar and we've been in twice, and both times we've had a great time. Lovely well kept drinks, prices cheaper than you'd believe and bar snacks which defy belief with the amount of food. This place is a gem. Wrap it up and make a mould to cast some more Lord Nelsons because it's brilliant.

Típico bar inglés, buena comida y mejor cerveza, un poco caro pero merece la pena, los camareros del 10, cuando fuimos estaban viendo un partido de fútbol, pero cuando acabó enseguida se dispersaron y quedamos solo las mesas que estábamos comiendo.

Buenas cervezas, sitio cómodo y no caro, Lucy muy simpática y amable. Jesús igual, pero encima con sentido del humor y nos ayudo en varias dudas que teníamos de la zona. Gracias por todo crack!

Perfecta ubicación, atmosfera, y personal agradable. Caro pero en linea con Gib. Es típico Ingles, tematizado a la marina de época británica, con vigas imitando a mástiles con sus velas. En él interior del muro defensivo de otra época.

Un típico bar inglés, ambientado al estilo británico: historia de Nelson, deportes como rugby, cricket... el fish & chips estuvo correcto, una porción grande y llenadora. Quizás no el más sabroso que he probado, pero estuvo bien.

El local es una pasada, ambientado como un barco antiguo inglés. El personal muy agradable y la comida estupenda. El fish anda chips es original, nada de panga... Muy recomendable.

Estupendo restaurante bar y brasería. Espacioso y con un aire por dentro a barco pirata. Comida abundante. Las pizzas finas y de las mejores que he probado. Order the fish and chips. Hands down best of the best. Medium size is a nice lunch portion. Perfectly fried with light breading. Sunday roast is tasty but light on the meat. Olivia is the best waitress, and can give helpful hints as what to order.

We stopped at Lord Nelson and, honestly, it was spot on, the fish & chips were amazing, crispy and full of flavor. The music gave such a good vibe, the kind that makes you want to stay for “just one more drink”.. Loved the atmosphere, great music and a really friendly vibe. Everything well organized and staff very nice. Totally recommend, definitely a place to come back to!

Wow, now this was definitely our favourite pub while we were on holiday for 2 weeks, very entertaining on a Friday and Saturday night, we loved it. Karaoke and live bands were brilliant. Nice staff and nice food. I'd recommend this one to anyone.

Fantastic Traditional English Pub in Casemates Square This is my favourite pub in Gibraltar, highly recommended. Feels like home except the food is actually better! Seriously really nice pub in the heart of Casemates Square, this is a great meeting point. It has it all, good food, nice staff & great beer.

Tucked away in the north-east corner of Casemates Square, where better in Gibraltar to enjoy fish and chips and a pint than at The Lord Nelson. The name! The place! The history and the connection with The Royal Navy and one of the services finest victories! I digress. A warm welcome, fast service and reasonably good food at acceptable prices. Good sized terrace for a pint in the sun and loads of screens inside for viewing the Rugger - "Swing low sweet chariot.." What more do I need to say? If you're on The Rock (the real one, of course) go there matey. 🍻

De los pocos sitios para comer en Gibraltar que abren en Domingo. Aún siendo muy tarde, nos atendieron sin problema, y los fish&chips que pedimos estaban muy buenos. Me transportó a la comida de pub auténtica de mis años en Reino Unido.

Un sitio tranquilo en la plaza principal de Gibraltar con un aire muy inglés. No es solo bar, tiene una buena carta para comer y también es un buen sitio para ver deportes en tv.

Nice pub with decent Guinness The Lord Nelson is a nice, cozy pub with a good atmosphere and a decent Guinness. They have a spacious outdoor seating area, which is great if you want to sit outside and relax. That said, the prices are a bit higher compared to some other places nearby — I paid £6 for a Guinness, while I found other pubs where it was around £4. Still a pleasant spot overall.

Traditional English pub. Football was on the telly, so the younger crowd was getting a little rowdy cheering their team on. Good food menu of all of the things you would expect.

Nice decor inside resembling a ship. Reasonable prices for great pub food classics. The steak pie was very tasty and a big portion. The Lord Nelson beef burger comes loaded with flavours and chips on the side. Please note that English is not my native language, but I wanted to write this in English to honor theirs. The bar’s décor is really cool, with elements from an old sailing ship that make it feel as if the place itself were a vessel, complete with rigging, yards, masts, and flags like the Union Jack hanging from the ceiling. Everything is made of wood, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. The seating is comfortable and spacious, and the staff are extremely attentive. Before entering I had read reviews from other Spanish people who enjoyed the food. However, it was disappointing for us. Maybe it is because we are another kind of Spanish people who aren’t used to such heavily breaded and deep‑fried dishes. Since we wanted to try a bit of everything, we ordered a mixed platter with several items, but the menu didn’t mention that almost everything would come coated in batter but like, a lot of it, with big air bubbles inside. We had to remove the breading to find that there was barely any actual food inside. I just hope that the traditional ‘fish and chips’ doesn’t hide a tiny piece of fish under layer upon layer of batter. ---- Español: La decoración del bar está muy chula porque tiene elementos de un barco de vela antiguo, como si el bar fuera un barco en sí mismo, con jarcias, cuerds y mástiles aquí y allá, y banderas también, como la Union Jack colgada del techo. Todo es de madera, muy agradable. Los asientos y mesas, muy agradables, mucho sitio dentro para elegir dónde sentarte. Los empleados muy atentos. Antes de entrar había leído reseñas de otros españoles a los que les había gustado la comida. Sin embargo, para nosotros fue decepcionante. Quizá sea porque somos otro tipo de españoles que no estamos acostumbrados a platos tan rebozados y tan fritos. Como queríamos probar un poco de todo, pedimos un plato combinado con varios productos, pero en el menú no se indicaba que casi todo vendría rebozado, pero con muchísimo rebozado, y con grandes burbujas de aire dentro. Tuvimos que quitarlo todo para descubrir que apenas había alimento dentro. Solo espero que el tradicional ‘fish and chips’ no oculte un trocito diminuto de pescado bajo capa tras capa de rebozado.

La comida está muy buena, pero el servicio fue un poco lento, igual tuvimos mala suerte ese día.

Buena atención, aunque todo muy caro y el zumo que sirven es el del Mercadona.

Staff very nice and friendly. Drinks good. The food quality really let them down. We had fish and chips which looked nothing like the pictures. I might be wrong but it looked like frozen cod in batter from the supermarket. The Nachos were just weird. Hardly any cheese and and sauce turned the chips into a mush. I did mention it and the staff member said they'd let the kitchen know. Would have been nice to be offered a coffee or take a coke zero off the bill as a gesture. Anyway my advice would be have drinks but eat elsewhere.

The place was recommended and I fancied some fish and chips, so I decided to give it a try. The waiter was nice and told me right away that there was a 40-minute wait for the food, giving me the option to have lunch elsewhere. I decided to stay, and the wait time was accurate. My verdict was mixed. The fish and chips batter was good. Unfortunately, the chips weren't cooked enough.

Arrivedback from Morocco and headed ro Gib specifically for British food and beer. Had visited once before and had amazing food. This time, very disappointed. Beef amd Guinness pie had 5 small pieces of beef, hardly any gravy but plenty of carrots 🙄 The famous fish and chips (medium), the batter was raw and the fish undercooked! Called our server, Lauren, to look at the beef pie, she agreed that there should be more in it and the dish should be full. She immediately offered to remove the pie from the bill. Thank you Lauren, you were great! Ordered a pint of bitter none available!!! Had pint of Guinness. Went for 2nd pint, run out 😡 Come on guys! Our first visit a few years ago was excellet! What happened?!?! Bad day in the kitchen or has this place declined badly? Could not recommend this place based on that performance yesterday. Lauren, our server, was brilliant! Friendly, professional and courteous

Visited on a Sunday and ordered the heavily advertised Sunday roast. Unfortunately the order didn’t get put through to the kitchen so we waited quite a while but my issue is more with the food. The roast chicken & Yorkshire pudding shown on the menu were not representative - the chicken was a fillet of chicken & the chef really should have left the very sorry Yorkshire pudding off!! There was certainly plenty of veg but maybe less is more. Probably should have had the fish & chips

Inaceptable camarera actitud. Gritando sin razon al compañero, quien es servicial, amable no como ella. Hysterica, inutil, error tras error. Este pub conozco desde abrio. He visto mucha gente trabajar. Esto no lo he visto en mi vida. En ningun sitio.

Un sitio muy falso. Intentamos integrarnos en el lugar, cuál ingleses en Mallorca y nos empezaron a mirar mal. Nada auténtico, la camarera muy antipática, tuvimos que irnos.

Deberían de actualizar las reservas. Hicimos una reserva a las 8 : 30 para cenar y nos dijeron que la cocina estaba cerrada. Incluso tuvimos que confirmar que íbamos para que luego no podamos cenar nada allí.
