We ate too much. Staff bring food and cook it which is nice. There was a lot and think I gained a few pounds that night. We had 3 of the large dinner set meals for 16 people and also had a private room.

Peter “Bad Cool-Aid” Roh

Quite pricey but in exchange the steak is real good and delicious. I'd come back for more. One minor note to write about is the selection of side dishes. To me they weren't superb but still I liked the majority of them to garnish the meat. Just be ready to open your pocketbook. This isn't an all-you-can-eat establishment so you're not going to find any snips you find there.

Loved every single second there! 1st time novice took in all the set up, grilling and all the delicious meats and side dishes. What a feast!! Glad to been invited to share a private function that turned out perfect! Will definitely return....but not just yet Have to work off tonight's food.

Delicious authentic Korean food. Portions are large enough to share. Perfect for two; about twenty dollars per person. When my sister visits Korea Town, this is where we go for great Korean food.

CLEAN FOOD. Its rare to find good restaurants in ktown anymore. Good atmosphere. Little pricey but lunch special is affordable. Good portion and quality. 👍

We had an amazing Christmas dinner at Chosun Galbee in Koreatown. As a mom traveling with our 11-month-old, I really appreciated how family-friendly the restaurant was—they had a high chair ready, which made things so much easier. Despite being a busy holiday night, we were seated right away. The service was fantastic, and our waitress even helped cook the meat at the table. The short rib (Chosun Galbee) was the highlight—tender, flavorful, and absolutely worth it. The meal wasn’t cheap, but the quality of the food and the overall experience made it totally worth the splurge. Highly recommend Chosun Galbee for delicious Korean BBQ.

This was an AWESOME Korean BBQ experience.Rolls Royce of the area. Expensive, but quality meats and amazing service! No complaints and WONDERFUL Korean food! Parking can be tough (free) but valet available for cheap!

The food is great and the staff is friendly and helpful. It is so much fun to have your food cooked right at table side. We shared the short rib dinner and tiger shrimp which were incredibly good. Meal goes perfectly with Korean beer and the atmosphere is lively and fun. Valet parking is easy and our wait time was quite short. Can't wait to return.

The best All around Korean restaurant in LA. The service, the quality, the menu. It just doesn’t get better. We have been to more Han 50 restaurants in Koreatown-and we always just say…Chosun is the best.

K

Unlike most of the Korean BBQ restaurants in Korea town this one has a quieter atmosphere. Perfect for meetings over great food without too much noise. Please try their cold noodles (nen meung) and marinated short ribs (LA kalbi) together. Greatest thing ever!

This is probably my favorite Korean restaurant in LA. The food is always delicious and the banchan is incredible.

Wanted to check it out because of the Buzzfeed YouTube video. Came here for my birthday with a large party of 17! They put us in a room with 3 grills (albeit not evenly spaced) but it worked. The meats were delicious and you could taste the quality. They do cook for you and are fairly attentive. Of course the galbi was amazing, marinated and non-marinated. The seabass is also really good! However for a steep $60, you can bypass it. It was good but not worth the price tag. Would my fiance drive all the way to LA to have Chosun Galbee with me? No. But was it worth checking out? ABSOLUTELY.

All meats were great. The service "cooks" for you so you can relax and focus on enjoying the food.

Chosun Galbee delivers one of the most refined Korean BBQ experiences in K-Town. The service is exceptional - attentive without hovering, with staff who anticipate your needs and manage the grill seamlessly. The atmosphere is spotless and thoughtfully designed, with excellent ventilation and a relaxed, upscale vibe. While you wait for your table, there's a sleek bar up front where you can unwind with a drink. As for the food, it’s top-tier across the board. The marinated short ribs are rich, tender, and perfectly balanced, while the brisket is sliced thin and cooks beautifully at the table. The real standout for me was the grilled sea bass — light, buttery, and an unexpected highlight that elevates the whole meal. Chosun Galbee isn’t just about great BBQ; it’s about execution, detail, and creating a complete dining experience.

The Galbee is top notch (pictured here). I also recommend the bibim naengmyeon as well, one of the better ones I’ve had. Great outdoor setting (pandemic friendly) and valet parking.

Post Covid 19 lockdown, June 18, 2021, Friday I had a business lunch here today. I suggest going right when it opens as it gets very crowded. I had the cold noodle/kalbi combo $29.99. It was pretty good. I suggest sitting inside. We ended up sitting outside and it was way too hot.

I
Ian Octoman

The minute you arrive you are greeted with a nice welcome. As we did not have reservation. The wait was only 10 minutes. So I had a drink at the bar. If you are looking for a great Korean Barbecue I highly recommend Chosun Galbee. If you don't know how to cook Korean BBQ, the waitress will be more than happy to do that for you throughout your stay. And even if your party knows its way around the grill, they'll even be willing to go the extra mile and do that for your party anyway, so that everyone can focus on enjoying the food!

J
Jisoo Jeong

If you want to taste sveral different part of beef, you should go and order Combo set. The taste is quite similar with Korea and the owner of the restaurant helps you cook meat deliciously.

Authentic Korean foods, fresh meat and excellent service 😂

B

The fact that Parks BBQ and Aghassi Gopchang are rated higher than Chosun is a joke. Chosun, hands down, has the best KBBQ meat quality and flavor in the entirety of North America. Paired with traditional naengmyun, it's a world class meal that may well rival the best that Seoul, the Motherland, has to offer. I had to post up this review to reestablish LA KBBQ order. Yes, it's the priciest KBBQ menu in LA, but you get what you pay for. Enjoy!

Bit pricey but worth the price. Taste like genuine Korean cuisine unlike other k-food places. Ready to spend 50 dollars per person including tip.

Chosun Galbee turns out to be a huge restaurant, with a large lovely patio for seating, and also many indoor tables for Korean bbq. Many of the items on the menu are expensive and large portions for bigger parties. For lunch, even a lunch combo is so big that it I was not able to finish it. I think the food quality was great, and it is nice seeing such a popular restaurant tucked away in this area.

One of the few Korean BBQ joints that are English friendly yet still provide an authentic Korean experience. The chosun galbee is a must but don’t forget the brisket and marinated pork (both meats are top notch quality). Unlike all you can eat the servers will regularly walk by to make sure the meats are cooked to perfection accompanied with a smile which is something we all take for granted in Ktown. Overall lovely time with my girlfriend and her family, definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu

We were staying in an Airbnb in Santa Monica during the Christmas holidays, just an 18-minute drive from Koreatown. Since most restaurants in Santa Monica were closed on Christmas night, we decided to venture into Koreatown, where Chosun Galbee caught our eye—and thankfully, they were open. Chosun Galbee offers convenient $4 valet parking in their private lot, which was a huge relief on a busy holiday night. Despite having no reservations (they are walk-in only), we were seated immediately, which was a pleasant surprise. We were a party of five adults and one baby, and I appreciated how family-friendly the restaurant was—they even had a high chair available for us. The service was excellent overall. Our waitress cooked most of the food for us at the table, and although we had to step in occasionally to ensure the meat didn’t burn, her attentiveness made the experience enjoyable. The quality of the food was outstanding, and here’s a breakdown of what we ordered: [Korean BBQ] +Prime Chosun Galbee (short rib in specially formulated soy sauce) for $68.99 – This short rib was amazing. The meat is tender, and the flavor is incredible. - 5/5 +Bulgogi (thin slices of tender beef marinated in specially formulated soy sauce) for $48.99 – Perfectly cooked and delicious. - 5/5 +Chadol Baegi (thin slices of prime brisket without marinade) for $47.99 – This was forgettable for me. I wouldn’t order it again. - 3/5 [Korean Specialties] +Dolsot Bibimbap (rice topped with meat and vegetables served on a sizzling stone pot) for $26.99 – Great flavor and presentation, but I’ve had better. - 4/5 +Kimchi Chigae (Kimchi stew with beef and tofu) for $21.99 – A comforting and flavorful stew that complemented the meal. - 4/5 The subtotal for all the items we ordered came to $214.95, and with taxes and tip, the bill ended up being quite high. However, considering the quality of the food and the overall experience, it was well worth it. Chosun Galbee delivered an amazing dining experience with fantastic food and great service, even on a busy holiday night. I would absolutely recommend this place and look forward to returning whenever I’m in Los Angeles.

I recently dined at Chosun Galbee and had an absolutely delightful experience. Their cold noodles were a culinary masterpiece, bursting with flavor and perfectly refreshing. The array of banchan, side dishes served alongside the main course, were delicious and impeccably prepared. However, the true star of the meal was the Korean galbi short rib, which exceeded all expectations. The meat was incredibly tender, cooked to perfection, and melted in my mouth with every bite. I couldn't have asked for a better dining experience, and I wholeheartedly recommend Chosun Galbee to anyone seeking an exceptional Korean dining experience. It's undoubtedly deserving of a well-earned 5-star rating.

Chosun Galbee was everything I was expecting and more! I had it on my to go list ever since I saw it on the Buzzfeed video. And what an experience, mouthwatering delicious meat and a large selection of banchan. They also didn't skimp on the kimchi which some restos are prone to do. Service was excellent, we had waitresses helping with the cooking of the meat--we got two variety prime kalbi meat and bulgogi. I highly recommend it for a great authentic Korean BBQ experience. While I can't say it's the best in LA (since I didn't try them all!) it's still my favorite. I'll likely go back if I'm ever in town :)

J
Jung Park

Oldie but goodie. First time back in over 10 years. Food remains the highest quality. Even the tendon wrapping the prime galbi is soft to eat, unlike all others because it's too chewy. The decor is showing it's age though.

Wow. How do they marinate LA Glabi here?!?!? It’s perfect. It’s not cheap here but I don’t mind paying this price for this quality. Friendly service as well as very accommodating for 3 years old child. I’d definitely revisit when I come back to LA. Bravo!

An OG of K-Town you can’t go wrong here. Classic menu, classic flavors, all done really well. Their side dishes are straight out of Korea. Their meats are high quality. Their neng myun is one of the best in the city. It’s great for large groups, families and date night. Highly recommend.

There is valet parking. (Valet fee is $4) I ordered Neangmyun, and it is amazingly delicious. However, I didn't understand putting vinegar and mustard in disposable bins. You just need big bins that is more convenient and also good at environment. Prime Galbi was good, but the onion was ignored how to eat. Overall, the interior was fancy and service was good. Many korean people recommended this place. I love it. 9/11/2025 Everything is so nice right now. No more disposal bins. We had a lunch menu and it was good! 12/2025 Galbi was sweet to me. Service is amazing.

Stellar quality meat. Their signature marinade is one of the best in the town. Great service and atmosphere. All their cold noodles are predictably solid compared to most of the popular KBBQ joints. Other places are inconsistent in flavor. I give this place 4 stars due to their side dishes, a lot of them are too sweet and incorporate a lot of fruits and are not savory enough. Kimchi is very usually too fermented.

The Korean BBQ at this place is amazing! The food was delicious, delicious, delicious! The meat tender and flavorful which made it amazing to eat. The sides that came along with the meal were also tasty. The glass noodles were really good. Our servers did a great job of taking care of our large party. They kept drinks coming and continually removed used plates. They were very accommodating. The entire restaurant was clean and decorated well. I loved the private room for our party. It fit us perfectly. I cannot say enough about my experience at Chosun Galbee. This will be a place to remember.

First time for my son and I at a Korean BBQ, so we were a little unsure how it worked. The staff explained and we were well on our way. All I can say is: AMAZING! 🤤. Everything was super fresh, cooked perfectly, and reasonably priced. 10/10 would recommend (it WAS a recommendation to us, so I should pay it forward, right?).

Alan

Very high quality Korean BBQ in Koreatown. The vibe here definitely feels a bit 'mature' and refined than the young-people spots like Quarters or Kang Ho Dong nearby. The selection of the Berkshire pork belly is top-notch - the layers of fat and meat are well balanced, while the thin cuts create a nice chewy texture. The Galbi is perfect. The USDA prime beef is well marbled, and the marinade is excellent without being too sweet. The cold noodles with skate fish is highly recommendable. The skate fish has a chewy texture with edible bones, and it contrasts the crisp texture of pears and cucumbers in the bowl.

What can I say, delicious bbq, great vibes and friendly staff! Love this place, been coming for years and still coming back for some more. $$$$. Chosun Galbee is a fancy and expensive place to enjoy really high-end quality meat with highly-experienced, professional staff that have perfect knowledge of Korean BBQ. Being a really popular place for Korean BBQ in LA, wait times are usually 30 minutes to 2 hours. But the wait is well worth it, given the dining experience during both lunch and dinner. There are usually quite nice lunch specials for $25/person, and dinner is typically $50 ~ $200/person. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of booth seating, and certainly prefer being seated at a table, especially for an hour and a half to two hour long dinner. The dining area is well lit and a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Valet is $2 during lunch, and $5 during dinner. This isn't the best Korean BBQ in LA, but it's a really lovely experience with highly knowledgeable and professional staff, that even the best Korean BBQ restaurants in Seoul couldn't even come close, because of the freshness and super high-quality meat served here.

This has always been my favorite Korean bbq restaurant to go to. Quality of beef is really nice. Parking is easy as they have valet for $2. I deducted one star because if you don’t speak Korean, it’s a little difficult to get the service you want. The water here was refreshing. Prices have increased substantially as everything has but it’s expected as this is a higher priced restaurant.

5/04/2024 Went for lunch with family. I had cold noodles with ribs. Kind of expensive, but if you are going to introduce your potential in-laws to Korean food, not bad of a place if your wallet can tolerate. Valet parking is $4 and they accept online payments like venmo and zelle.

J

The food is a really delicious and good place. But I think it would be good to pay more attention to the service. It's kind when group guests go, but if a small number of people go for lunch, I think some serving people are a little less kind. It's a place where the price is not cheap, so I'd like to be given the right service.

The food was very good, lots of unique dishes that I normally wouldn't eat but giving it a try it was quite good. I went for a birthday party and had a private area. Unlike most KBBQ restaurants, Chosun Galbee is not "all you can eat" (AYCE), but you will walk away full, satisfied, and won't smell like KBBQ. The prices here are on the higher side, but the meats and prepared food are really good. You are also served a large selection of banchan and each was fresh and flavorful. The thinly sliced beef brisket, bulgogi, and short ribs were great, but the standout for me was the Yukgaejang. It's a soup, consisting of a spicy red broth, glass noodles, vegetables, and beef. It's spicy, but doesn't burn or linger. One bowl can be shared with up to four people, or will make a hearty meal by itself. As I mentioned, the prices can sneak up on you, the staff is super friendly, and the place is clean. Parking is valet only and cost $3.

Food is good, but pretty overpriced. Even the weekday lunch menu is very expensive for what you get. Better comparable restaurant quality-wish are around at a better price. Though, this restaurant excels with its large space and attentive service.

The experience was great here. I always love a good Korean bbq joint. It was definitely on the fancier side of ones I’ve been to. The prices were high but it’s LA so what can you expect. Get the bimibap if you’re not doing cooked meat. Our server didn’t really come back after she cooked our meat though, which was noting because my kids wanted to have dessert. We left and got gelato somewhere else instead. Lastly, the meat is what I want to comment on. It was heavily seasoned in something, making it not taste as fresh. I’m not sure how else to describe it other than that. My kids enjoyed it so all in all it was a good dinner.

Seng galbee gui (Prime short rib without marinade) ($70.99) - They said that 1 portion was for 1 adult but it was a huge portion of a dozen large, marbled, tender slabs of beef. The beef was cooked for us. Chosun galbee A (Prime short rib in specially formulated soy sauce) ($65.99) - Also a large portion. But not as quite as tender or fresh as the prime short rib without marinade. The beef dishes came with mushrooms and onions, a huge serving of salad and side dishes. Thoari neng myun (cold noodles) ($13) - Not particularly good.

The signature chosun galbi beef short rib was amazing! Meats were well marbled and had a good fat-to-meat ratio. Slightly pricey compared to what you can get in Singapore but hey, this is LA.

This place is worth a try but there are better places out there. I think it's their bangchans needs to be better and maybe their customer service but overall this isn't a bad place. The ambiance is…

I was happy to visit this Korean bbq restaurant in the heart of Koreatown last month along with my work colleagues. Truly a fun experience and there was yummy food for all. It isn’t the best Korean…

This is an extremely expensive place. We had galbi and cold noodle. Side dishes and main dishes were good. Service was excellent. Not just one but all ladies who were passing by our table flipped meats and placed more meats on our grill. It was like they were all our servers. If the price of meat were cheaper...

While the service was good, the interior is modern and clean, unlike some other Koreatown restaurants, and the food was OK, I could not find a reason to justify the prices here. I found the meat to be chewy, and portion sizes were less than I expected for the price. OK experience overall, but other places are more enjoyable for less.

Quality is good, they do most of the cooking for you, and ample parking. But they charge a princely sum (yes, meat is expensive, but even so..), more so than expected on this most recent visit-- and left hungry. Could have ordered more but friends didn't seem interested in paying any more. Japchae was overcooked, ban chan selection was very good and quality was excellent. Some other side dish was superb, think it was the bibimbap.

Meat quality was ok but overpriced overall compared to other kbbq options in Ktown. Service was slow and not the friendliest compared to other places. They cook the meat for you, but often leaves it on for too long that we end up just cooking ourselves. Not a deal breaker but not a great experience giving the premium pricing.

Unless you are making seven figures pay check a month, the food is way overpriced. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Food was overall okay. Pork belly was chewy & bland. Prime rib was tasty and tender. Very expensive though. Two main dishes which came with rice & salad came out to $140Usd. For this price, I've had much better Korean BBQ in Toronto. Thought I'd try Korean in LA cause everyone says it's one of the most amazing cities for Korean food. I'd say otherwise. TO is way better.

Great atmosphere and friendly service. Both indoor as well as outdoor roofed seating. Not as smokey as many other BBQs, very well functioning ventilation fans. I had the Dolsot Bibimbap in stone pot and liked all veggies as well as all side dishes that was also served. The kimchi is delicious! Reason for no more stars are that the amount of meat in the Bibimbap was way too little, I probably only had like 10 small cubes of meat. And the pricetag is a bit higher than other similar places in Ktown.

We visited for lunch, and the clean and friendly service in the parking lot raised our expectations and excitement about the restaurant as we entered. We ordered Korean short ribs, cold noodles, and soybean paste stew, and the food was generally neat and not bad. Overall, the seasoning was quite strong, and the taste suggested a lot of MSG. The facilities were clean, and the restrooms were also very well-maintained. This is probably because they were located behind the counter, close to where the staff could easily monitor them. However, there seemed to be a significant problem with the staff's service. While their uniforms and cleanliness were excellent, the attitude of the table service staff was extremely unsatisfactory. They treated customers with a condescending, almost aristocratic attitude, as if they were lecturing them. With proper training in customer service, this restaurant, specializing in Korean short ribs, could become a representative restaurant in Koreatown, showcasing Korean culture to diverse nationalities in a positive light.

They had a stellar reputation in the past, but it seems they've lost their touch when it comes to flavorful food. The restaurant building is still nice, and the service is good, with a clean environment, but the taste just isn't what it used to be.

2.5 rounded up to 3 stars. Came here for the 2nd or 3rd time today after 6 years. We ordered two lunch special combos: 1 galbi & nengmyun combo (~$36) 1 bulgogi & nengmyun combo (~$32) Both meat dishes came out already cooked (no use of the grill) on the hot stone platters similar to those for the tofu & bbq meat combos at BCD. Total with tip came out to $90, which I thought was steep even factoring inflation and raised prices lately. Everything tasted decent enough, but I personally didn’t think it was worth the price. I also wanted to leave a slightly generous rating since I recall the dinner (with the use of the grill) better, but it was also so long ago to recall.

Unfortunately this used to be the gold standard in ktown for premium beef and service. Alas the service has taken a big hit and it seems no one wants to work here. The beef is still on point but unfortunately the dining experience is greatly affected by the delivery. Hopefully management addresses these issues. Side note I've been coming to this restaurant since they opened this establishment.

it is well known BBQ place in K-town but none of koreans dine there anymore. Over-priced and slightly above average quality meal. I just can't justify spending hundreds of $$$ for the food. So sad. ps. I dont like serving lady standing next you and observing how much tip her.

Craving for cold noodles, we visited this place. They were pretty bland and did not taste very good. It was $20, which seemed steep. And, you have to valet park if you can’t find street parking.

Place seems very outdated…. In terms of food, wasn’t really impressed either. Ended up close to paying $100 and really lacked side dishes. The buck wheat noodles were average. Just overall for the price this place is a no go for me. One other thing that really annoyed me was the amount of flys. They had different repellants and candles but still, flys were everywhere. I would not recommend nor would I come back here again.

Better than avg food but rude af. It's probably not worth the price tag you're paying for kbbq. Just go to Soowon Galbi around the corner.

Food was good but the night was ruined by a rude and pushy staff who kept trying to get us to leave. Was informed that they were closing at 9:30p that evening, but then started pestering us to leave around 8:45. We spent $100 a person to feel unwelcomed and to have a rushed 45-minute dinner. It's not AYCE on Sat and Sun, and the food is good but not enough to justify the super-high prices. Disappointed in this place. No reservations taken.

We ate here on 12/17/2019. When the food was brought to the table, we found a steel piece of mesh, which is used on cleaning pots and pans, was in one of our food dishes. When we showed the server, she got the manager and showed him. They both apologized and brought another dish. The manager should have reduced the bill for that mistake as a good customer service gesture. We didn't feel good eating the food after that. We should have walked out then, but we didn't. The food and quality just isn't worth the price you pay. Never will go back there again.

I was there yesterday with 5 other people. I love to eat Korean BBQ, but in my honest opinion, it's not money worth going there. The beef quality was not the same as before. And the service, servers are blunt and not kind.

Terrible services!!!., ask the water & some side dish. We waited & waited waitress never came back. Decided to leave ask check. Right away waitress brought check like bullet train. Left cash & tip. Waitress counted $$ starting at us and said what about tip? We were speechless even though terrible service we left 20% tip. She didn't even mentioned one word sorry or whatever after she found out there were tip there. Gosh! Over 20% tip !!! This restaurant staffs need basic trading how to treat customers.

I find this place shady--we were charged not once but TWICE! First, my husband went to the front to pay without any of us knowing. Then, my brother-in-law later paid at the front without being told that the bill was taken care of. This is simply UNACCEPTABLE and upsetting!! How could they have not known that the 2 men were paying for the same meal?? A reputable place like this should be honest, and not try to rip its customers' off. Had we not gone back immediately after leaving the restaurant, it would have been difficult to sort the mess. I have to say that this experience left a bad taste in our mouths. I would opt for another Korean BBQ place based on this incident and the service. I didn't feel like the servers were attentive when they were cooking the meat, leaving it mostly up to us to do the work. Moreover, the place was freezing cold! All in all, the dining experience was GRAVELY disappointing to say the least!!

This was the worst experience of going K-town restaurant in the past 40 years of living in Los Angeles. First of all, I was told that I only have one and half hour to eat. The quality of meat is not so much great compared to any other K-town bbq place except being charged much higher price. It also was the least expectation of side dishes, you can get much more quality of the side dishes with a lot less in other K-town restaurants. I would not recommend anyone go there because you easily get same quality of the food with much less price in K-town.

Chosun was a very special place my family and I would regularly visit so I hate that this place has gone so downhill. We arrived 1.5 hours before close and ordered an option from the Prime Combo menu. As soon as we were seated a woman came up to our table to let us know when they would be closing. We didn't think it would be a problem since we arrived way before closing time and there were many other parties still present. We were wrong. Before we were served any of our meats or drink, they immediately brought out our last course of cold noodles. I have never had the last course come out before any of our main dishes and again, I grew up going here and this was a first. They then brought out the tray of meat and cooked the meat so fast that we were unable to keep up (and we're pretty fast eaters). We kindly asked them to slow down as we could not eat quickly enough and the meat was getting cold, overly cooked and burnt. We were trying to enjoy our meal but there was a line of servers staring us down behind us waiting for us to finish. It was uncomfortable and the service was incredibly lacking. As soon as our server cooked the last of the meat another server brought out our check and stood next to us awkwardly. Mind you we were still finishing our food but she asked us to hurry and put a card down. Another server then came and tried cleaning our table and we let them know we were not finished. At that point, we did not even get to finish our meal and left. TL;DR: Overpriced, banchan lacks, meat is not good quality, horrible and incredibly rude and disrespectful service. Will NEVER be returning. There are way too many better options in K-Town and Chosun is absolutely not worth it.

1. I was appalled by the really tasteless and poor food. I ordered cold noodles and ribs set. It seems like a business targeting people who don't know Korean food. Heck, the cold noodle soup should be made from well-simmered broth, but here, it just tastes like commercial powder mixed with water. I couldn't even drink cold noodle soup because it tasted so salty it was like eating salty water. 2. Also, the Galbee ribs were also salty and of poor quality, making them tough and difficult to eat. How do you serve ribs like this for a high price? People who know Korean food well will immediately think this is not good. 3. All the side dishes were so terribly salty too and tasteless that I gave up after just eating a little bit. The kimchi that came with it was just super salty and I was sick of the poor taste. 4. I don't know how they do business with food like this. Just going to another ordinary local restaurant can be delicious and give you the true taste of Korean food, but this place is just pretending fancy and has no substance whatsoever. 5. I don't understand how the chef/cook can serve food like this, and I wonder if he tries it himself and evaluates the taste.

I had a disappointing time at Chosun Galbee. Very overpriced for the quality they give. They were well known for their amazing service, and amazing meat, but their reputation has fallen quite far. They were out of the ggotsal, and their seasoned galbee had a strange taste of mushroom. Half of the time, I had to cook my own meat, until I told them that they weren't giving much attention to the table. For their bean paste soup, I would recommend more spice, more bean paste, and less squash. The galbee sauce was mediocre, very bland, while their banchans were all overly seasoned. The service it self was okay, but their were lacking in their attention to detail. Please go back to how you guys were like three years ago.

I have been a fan of 조선갈비 more than 15 years. Had a dinner x mas day 2025. Ordered chosen galbi premium grade $69/ea but the quality of meat was terrible compare to past. Very frustrated and recommend not go there and even myself decided not going to be no more customer.
