100/10 recommend! What a friendly experience coming in and being immediately greeted! I got the Mango Grapefruit tea and wow was it fresh and flavorful. He has so many great recommendations and can tailor to your preference and taste. I also bought a bag of the black sesame crunch which is home made and tasty! You can’t get this type of flavor in the regular store bought kind. Additionally, I got the fish balls and loved them. They’re perfectly tender and made to order. Come support your local small businesses!
Good Boba for cheap. This Grapefruit Lychee blend was a pleasant surprise. First time trying this mix and it was amazing. Great customer service!

I‘ve been slowly working through the boba shops in Pasadena and stumbled across this one across from PCC. Admittedly, I’m a sucker for cute logos and this one is the cutest with a seal on it, so in I went. The owner is incredibly warm and friendly and my boyfriend and I some suggestions when we didn’t know what to order. I got the signature milk tea and it turned out to be a great choice! The boba was bouncy and chewy and the milk tea itself was nice and smooth. The space is cozy (though maybe a little dark on a cloudy day), but it’s a really nice place to unwind. I think it‘d be even more perfect in winter with a hot drink. This place is right around the corner from PCC and pretty close to the Pasadena branch library, so it’s a nice place to go after class or a visit to the library.
heard about this place from a friend and decided to check it out! i got the haicha milk tea with boba, 25% sugar. the boba was fresh and chewy and the tea flavor is good! 25% sugar was perfect for me as i don’t like my drinks too sweet. the owner is so kind and enthusiastic and gave us free wireless chargers :”) love supporting small family owned businesses!
Great place for boba! Service is amazing, the guy that works there is super extroverted and nice. The drinks are amazing, and the smoothies could not have been done better. The tea was so good! I will come back again. The only problem was that they got our order wrong a few times, but it was okay because the tea was so good! The rest of my family minded but I didn't.
We got hot Haicha milk tea and iced Ceylon black tea! The owner was really kind and even asked us how strong we wanted the tea to be. The shop is so cozy, soft music playing, definitely a must if you want great boba ✨
I just tried the waffle at HaiCha in LA, and it’s hands down the best one I’ve ever had! The waffle is made fresh to order—warm, crispy on the edges, and so rich with milky flavor (I asked for no sugar, which let the natural creaminess really shine). Since I’m on a diet, I skipped the whipped cream, and the owner was super nice to swap it for their homemade boba instead. The boba was chewy and full of flavor, pairing perfectly with the waffle. Their milk tea is also amazing, and you can watch the owner make everything in the open kitchen—super reassuring! The vibe here is so cozy too; it’s a great spot to grab a snack and get some work done. 10/10, will definitely be coming back for more!
Loved the taro smoothie—the tall, elegant style felt so fancy and fun. My kid loved it too, and it tasted amazing. The jasmine tea was especially good—so authentic and comforting. The owner was really friendly, and I enjoyed greeting everyone there. I also loved the music—soft background sounds, the waterfall, everything felt so soothing and refreshing. It truly made for a wonderful afternoon.
This is a super cozy tea shop with the friendliest owner. I was unsure what I wanted and he gave me a few recommendations. I got the Hai Cha milk tea and the Hai Cha fish balls. Everything is made to order with the freshest ingredients and it is quality you can taste. The Hai Cha milk tea has great flavor and is not too sweet! He is SO generous with the amount of brown sugar boba pearls, which also aren't as sweet as most other boba places! The fish balls were made hot and fresh, they were perfectly tender and still warm when I got home from running errands 30 minutes later. It has this juicy meat filling and an abundance of flavor. Mine were drizzled with a seafood sauce, and he made sure to ask if I wanted the chili sauce so he could make it to my liking. I also got a bag of black sesame crunchies (which contain peanuts) and they are just the right amount of sweet with a nice crunch and a strong black sesame flavor. I will definitely be back again!
Excellent boba and service the owner is very personable and friendly. He went out of our way to make us feel welcome. The boba smoothie was massive came out as a mountain of taro. I live up the street so it’ll be our new boba spot
This is a really cute boba spot right across from PCC, their tea is incredibly fresh and authentic, and they sell packs of loose leaf tea imported from Taiwan for a very reasonable price! The owner was super nice and offered us complimentary cookies! This is an amazing study spot, offering free water, coffee and Wi-Fi and amazing tea and boba

Hands down some of the best service I’ve had from a cafe or really anywhere in a very long time. Tommy, the owner, was incredibly sweet and outgoing, walking me through the whole ordering process and making a matcha with mango special for me, even though it’s not on the menu. I will definitely be coming back.
Real Taiwanese tea with great quality. Must try their high mountain oolong tea and you will see what I meant. Also their boba is the TOP! Highly recommend to everyone who's looking for new tea spot to hang or just chill!
Tommy is genuinely one of the nicest people I’ve met at a tea shop. It was a slow Sunday afternoon, and as we parked out front, he actually came over and held the door open for us. He took our orders on the screen, walked us through the drink options, and was just overall incredibly friendly without being pushy. The drinks themselves were fresh and solid, but honestly, the standout was Tommy. That level of friendliness is rare these days, and it instantly explains why this place has so many five-star reviews. Even if you’re just passing through, the service alone makes the stop worth it.
just tried for 1st time! their boba freshly made daily. I had the green tea with boba no sugar. was perfect for me. strong and sweet by the boba. less guilt for sure. lol. Tony the owner is very very kind, friendly and sweet. highly recommended!
The drinks are great and the waffles are even better. Get the waffle with boba it hits every bit of your flavor centers in just the perfect way. If you're feeling snack-ish the self packed treat are incredible. Being my first time coming to Hai Cha I'm absolutely coming back and you should too. Bring your kids, bring your wife, everybody needs boba from here.
The owner was so friendly and attentive — you can tell he really cares about his customers! He made a couple of great drink suggestions, and we ended up loving both: the 50% Peach Lychee Tea and the 100% Hai Cha Tea with boba. Their boba was soft and fresh — just perfect. I also noticed a picture of the owner with Cynthia Gouw (the Asian American actress best known for her role on Star Trek) — he’s clearly proud that she visited, and honestly, I would be too! I’d definitely come back if I’m in the area again.
The vibes here are cozy and warm. It’s my first time here and the owner was super friendly! It’s like a secret spot of peace in such a packed city. Everything about the place was so homey and you can tell that there is so much love in this business. It’s right next to a college too so you can grab some food and go to class! Especially since this place opens pretty early compared to the other places nearby. I’m definitely going to stop by again. The owner was really nice and it’s that kind of chatter where it’s so simple and genuine that it makes your day! I got the mango peach fruit tea which I definitely recommend for a refreshing drink. I’m biased and got it at 100% sugar because I have a sweet tooth and the owner definitely noticed when I also got the waffle at 100% sweetness as well! We had a chat about it and I couldn’t stop smiling. Please come check this place out if you need some tea or a little nook to rest!
From the moment you step into HaiCha, you know the drinks are going to be crafted with love!! This family owned and operated business has incredible service and offers a great place to quietly work or study. It has a very homey vibe to it that is perfect for catch ups and study sessions. The drinks themself are great as well. We got the HaiCha Milk tea with boba at 25% sweetness and the Jasmine green milk tea with egg pudding at 25% sweetness. For all my fellow "not too sweet" sweets lovers, this is perfect. The tea flavor is very strong and fragrant. We also got the black sesame crunchies they sell, which complemented the milk teas very well.
Just had one of the best cups of bubble tea and boba in the tristate area; truly an amazing experience and atmosphere! I loved the energy that the owner gave and the drinks were phenomenal. I got the Hokkaido with mango and lychee jelly and it was absolutely amazing! Truly delicious! I loved every sip. Don’t walk. RUN here to get a cup as soon as possible! 😛😛😛
The drink was phenomenal, I am normally worried of new drinks but the pineapple drink with mango jelly was amazing. Tommy is so welcoming and energetic, the atmosphere is comfortable with plenty of seating. A great place to go after class and have a drink with friends or even by yourself!
We tried HaiCha for the first time yesterday and boy, the tea was spot-on amazing with first-class service from Tommy, the owner). My wife ordered the Okinawa milk tea w/ boba (25% sweet), Hokkaido milk tea (50%), Hot Coffee w/ boba, and Haicha Fish balls (i.e. Fuzhou fish ball with meat inside). The sweetness recommendation for the Okinawa MT was perfect for my wife. I don't usually add boba to my drink but Tommy convinced me that Coffee + boba tastes amazing. He wasn't kidding - it was WOW! Also, the boba was made perfectly and wasn't on super sweet side like some other places. In chatting with Tommy, he uses high-quality, fresh ingredients as well as food all made-to-order. Tasting the items we ordered certainly validated that. In addition, we got a car phone holder as a first-time customer - thanks Tommy! If you ever been to Taiwan tea places, HaiCha feels exactly like that - relaxing ambiance (great for focus work or studying), delicious drink options, and super-friendly and attentive service from Tommy. We will be back again when passing through. Highly recommend it!
Haicha House Signature Milk Tea is the best milk tea I ever had after I moved to Pasadena. The environment is decent and the staff is so friendly. They also have delicious Haicha fish balls in the portion that great for lunch. Glad to find this place!
The service here was excellent! You can really see the owner’s passion when he’s making the drinks, which makes the experience feel extra special. I ordered the coconut passionfruit smoothie with lychee jelly, and it was so refreshing perfect for this heat! Definitely will be back!
