First time at Hat Creek Burger Co. after passing by it countless times to shop at H-E-B nextdoor. Why didn't I stop by earlier?! Great little burger joint that serves wine and beer, what?! The restaurant is partitioned into three sections: indoor heated or air conditioned dining (depending on season), outdoor enclosed patio with picnic style benches, and a kids play area with a full playground set. Let's talk about the burger. I ordered the Big Hat, which is your standard classic all American double patty cheese burger, with two slices of American cheese and grilled to perfection. I'm a pickles guy, but gotta pass on the style of pickle Hat Creek uses (it taste just like Wendy's pickles, which I am not a fan of), no fault of theirs by any means. Perfect side of tots to go with and down it all with a chilled cup of Half-Life IPA and call it a day! I'll be back, but leave the pickles :D. Great food, great atmosphere, great location and great service. Hat Creek also has a rewards program for all frequent patrons out there.

Good burgers and service like the other two we have been to in McKinney and Richardson. Similar layout and menu. Get the little hat with sweet potato fries. Just enough. And try their offerings of three different sauces. Sun afternoon lunch here there were a lot of families with small children enjoying themselves.

Did a Daddy, Mommy, Daughter date nite and when it came to food our girl asked to come here due to the playground. We agreed and were not sure what to expect. Overall the food was pretty good. I got the Southwest burger and my wife got the Bacon Royal. They were delicious and the fries and tots were good too. I was a bit shocked at the price for three meals here. My wife and my burgers had two patties but I was still a bit sticker shocked. That being said the food was fresh, hot, and delicious. They also offer wine and beer at a very reasonable cost. The playground was very nice and my girl had a blast playing on it. The ground was squishy and felt bouncy. Overall great times were had and the staff was super nice as the ketchup was out and he replaced it immediately.

We were meeting relatives and they chose this place as it is very kid friendly. They do have a variety of breakfast option as well. The okay area is great for the kids and they patio seating has a full view of the okay area so making it easy to keep an eye on the kids while catching up with old friends.

It was a lot of fun for our group. The kids had a blast. The food was decent but the service and the atmosphere was awsome. Definitely going back again as the kids already asking when r we going back again.

This place is amazing! Great atmosphere and awesome out door patio. The food was great, I highly recommend the sombrero burger with the jalapenos and pepper jack cheese!

Let’s be honest the burgers here are not that great. But the tater tots are on point. The real reason I take my family here is because the kids love playing on the play structure in the back which gives my wife and I sometime to talk in the Kid has come and do a drive-by for a bite and every once in a while. We can have bed and we get them exercise so it’s a win-win for us.

This place is beyond fire. BEYOND. I got a burger with a pretzel bun, and you could hear angels singing with every bite I took. This place is legitimately a top rate burger restaurant. The quality of the burger I received was better than something you'd get a chili's but it was also much faster. Staff was very friendly, and were also very helpful. Only two issues I saw: 1. The pricing is pretty dang high. $15 for a burger meal IS Chili's, prices, but this isn't a full service restaurant. I think the prices are too high for a fast food restaurant. They're pricing themselves pretty close to 5 Guys, and we all know they're overpriced. Second, the fry sauce I ordered came with the lid not sealed properly, and so the sauce got all over the bag and all over the foil the burger was wrapped in. Being that I was eating in a brand new car I just purchased, this was not ideal. Because of these two issues, I marked on down a star. But outside of those issues, this is a fantastic burger restaurant that serves an excellent product.

Great quality food and unique sauce options. Server did forget to bring fries but the cook made it up with an extra fry bag for the mishap. Price is decent, but if money isn't an issue then go at least try it. Shakes were basic though, nothing special and not worth the price for shakes.

Better than average burger and fries, but the wait time and employee care are less than desirable. Seasoned fries are tasty, but watch out if garlic doesn't agree with you, they are loaded with it. Sweet potato fries are also delicious. The different sauces to choose from are nice. Not the cleanest place but with a playground for the kids and beer and wine for adults, it's a good place to get a burger meal and some entertainment with the family.

First time trying this place. We were craving burgers and typically hit up Scotty Ps. Unfortunately we will continue going there in the future. While the actual burger patties here are great and certainly enjoyed, pretty much everything else was sub par. The fries were WAY over salted and the queso we got was also very salty. The bacon both on the fries and in the burger was also over salted. In general the sheer volume of salt just destroys any chance of flavor you’d otherwise get from the food. Decent prices however and the staff were pleasant.

Decent location but it needs to be managed better. They were out of white milk and apple sauce. Rather than finding us in their sitting area they just let our kids meals sit there until so much time had passed that we had to get back in line to check on the status of our order at which point they informed us that they were out of multiple items. Poor inventory and customer management.

The food is normally pretty good, albeit a little salty but that is to be expected. The customer service is always great and sitting outside even in the middle of summer is never that bad because the patio is well ventilated. However, they do need to do some major cleaning and repair to the patio and playground. While I never go onto the playground, in my most recent trip I had to temporarily venture onto the equipment with my kid and I was appalled by what I saw. The playground equipment is black from years of greasy hands touching the equipment, and the padding below the tuff is minimal. Also the fan on the patio needs to be dusted and cleaned as it is caked with dirt that could be falling into food and drinks below. It isn't bad enough for me not to go or recommend to others, but I would like to see a few scrub brushes get used to clean the equipment.

I just ordered delivery. We ordered two fried chicken sandwiches and they were so incredibly salty that we could not eat them. Everything else was good.
