I’m ALWAYS looking for authentic Mexican restaurants to try. Unfortunately Fort Worth doesn’t have many authentic nice sit in restaurants. A lot of “Mexican” restaurants cater to the tex mex fans. It was my first time here and it did not disappoint. The waitress was super nice and accommodating. I tried their Enchiladas suizas, my daughter had their hamburguesa mexicana, and I ordered a plate of picadillo for my baby. My daughter loved the burger and I loved the enchiladas. They also surprised us with two tostadas with cheese and salsa as appetizers. They were really delicious and not ridiculously filling so I was able to enjoy my meal. One thing I will say is I wish the charro beans had more jugo. They were a little dry. The food could use a bit more salt but I didn’t see any around to add. The green salsa at the bar was perfectly spicy and delicious. Some Aguas Frescas would have been great. Last but not least the churro I ordered thanks to the recommendation of the nice waitress was perfect. It had just the right amount of crunch but the middle was light and fluffy. I regret not ordering more. Oh yea! Please consider adding kid’s options to the menu. Kids don’t eat as much as adults. We will definitely be coming back.
The food was delicious! It was so delicious my son ordered 2 plates! The staff was so friendly and the vibe was great! 10/10 ! Will be back!
First time in this place and I was instantly greeted upon walking in. I responded with tacos! The gentleman responded with street tacos? Yes sir! With beef was my reaction. I asked if they can add grilled onions. He said oh yeah! With grilled jalapeños? I said that’s the only way a taco should be! I was directed to the various salsas and honestly there was several so it was kind hard to decide so I asked which are the hottest? I decided on the 2 hottest. I was offered a tostada as I waited and it was delicious with the cheese. I finally made in to my destination where I could devour my tacos 🌮… although they were corn (my preference is flour) they were delicious! And they salsa was mouth watering hot!!! But delicious 🤤 I will definitely return for those quesadillas! The owner introduced himself however my memory is horrible with names 😞
I had the asada fries and tried out the salsa bar...the jalapeño salsa is delicious! I dare to say that this may have been the best fries I've had in Texas. My 3-year-old mentioned the "cool chairs" as soon as we walked in. This a family-friendly restaurant, very clean, and has a great food/drink selection. The owner Tony is a very pleasant person & offers impeccable service. I will be back!
Been coming here for a while now… one of the very few places where I have actually had authentic Mexican food with the flavors I grew up with. Oh yeah I grew up in Mexico.
The food was great. The price was affordable but the service was excellent! I will be back excuse me! 😋😋😋 No photos because I devoured it so fast! 🤣😂
Yummy. I liked the service. The owner is very friendly. The presentation of the food is very nice on authentic clay plates . Also the atmosphere is good. The tables and chairs are authentic from Mexico covered in leather gives the place a different look. I ordered enchiladas suizas they were made of corn tortillas with green salsa and crema on top... I thought it was a small portion but honestly I was full when I finished my meal. If you are looking for big portions this is not the place. However you'll fill up quickly. We received excellent service, we were given extra appetizer and an extra birria taco. The birria taco tasted good... It was different from other birria tacos I tried before at other restaurants. I could taste the real meat flavor I loved it. Mexican music in the background made the place feel like I was In Mexico.
The is by far the best and most authentic Mexican food I’ve had in Fort Worth! I really like the chicken enchiladas, birria tacos, chips n salsa and horchata drinks.
Friendly family-run spot with great service. My 6-year-old devoured the chicken tenders (and the fresh-cut fries were delicious!). Lots of salsa options, from mild to spicy, and the churros are a must-try for dessert.
First time visiting and I brought my mom and grandma along — such a charming little spot! I had the quesobirria tacos and they were absolutely delicious, packed with flavor. My grandma ordered the gorditas and my mom went with the bistec ranchero — both loved their meals. We’ll definitely be coming back!
Great little place! Nice people, we had really great service. He walked us through the menu since we haven’t been here before and was very attentive. Will be coming back! Food was good
I really like that. The fountain drinks include the Auguas and the sodas. The chips are good and I love the salsa bar. Some of the salsas are very spicy. Love it. I got the Pollo Rancerho and my mom got the flautas. We love it. Pics next time. I was hungry and ready to eat, so no pics. We'll be back again.
Enjoy the authentic taste you'd expect from a hole-in-the-wall, but with the quality of a top-notch restaurant. The restaurant is spacious, well-decorated, and consistently clean, making it a great spot for groups. The food is always hot and made to order. Their salsa bar has something for everyone, whether you want to add a spicy kick to your meal or enjoy a flavorful dip for your chips. The panbasos, my wife's favorite, are absolutely delicious.
I thought Id try a new place today and I’m glad I did! Everything I had was a hit, carne asada taco plate, I tried 1 chicken enchilada so good, strawberry margarita Top Tier and let’s talk about the salsa bar 😋👌🏾So satisfied and I will be back to try other menu items! And the gentlemen who welcomed me was chefs kiss, thank you!!!!
We placed a large pick-up order from Casa El Torito for our staff, and it could not have gone better. From the moment we opened the bags, we could tell how much care went into the food. Everything was packed with thought and transported extremely well, nothing was soggy, nothing leaked, and all the dishes arrived looking and tasting like they had just come out of the kitchen. The variety was amazing. Every tray and container had something special to offer, and the flavors were absolutely outstanding. Normally, when you order for a big group, there are at least a couple of people who find something to nitpick, but not this time. Our whole staff agreed: the food was fantastic across the board. Honestly, the “best” dish was… ALL of it. Every single plate had people raving. What impressed us most was the balance between flavor, freshness, and portion size. The meats were perfectly cooked and tender, the rice and beans were flavorful and seasoned just right, the tortillas were fresh, and the salsas brought that authentic kick without being overpowering. The portions were generous, and no one left hungry, if anything, people kept going back for seconds. Casa El Torito deserves a ton of credit not only for the quality of their food, but also for the attention to detail and consistency. You can taste the pride they put into their cooking, and it really made our staff meal feel like a treat. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food that holds up beautifully even as a pick-up order, look no further. Casa El Torito truly knocked it out of the park for us, and we’ll definitely be ordering again. Highly recommended!
The BEST food! The pastor tacos and chilaquiles rojas were amazing and the service was great too! Nice ambiance inside and very clean! Definitely worth a try! We will be back! (:
Very good menudo — highly recommended! Great vibes. Be sure to order before you sit down.
Best quesadillas in South Fort Worth, hands down. Also love the salsa bar. The horchata is delicious and refills are free.
Casa El Torito was a lovely place to eat for lunch. I ordered the Tuesday special, which included three tacos (two asada and one pastor). The refried beans and rice were tasty. This food is definitely authentic and good quality. I would highly recommend coming here.
Really great food!! We had enchiladas, tacos, and an omelette that were all great. The coffee especially was amazing. They do cafe de olla, so it has some sweetness and cinnamon in it. As much as we loved everything else too, I would come by just for coffee and churros 😍 it would be a perfect cozy spot to sit and have a coffee and chat with a friend. We had a family lunch here and loved it. Everything we had was great! It’s authentic Mexican more than Tex Mex. Great service, comfortable seating, and the pottery they serve the food and drinks in are so cute!

Absolutely amazing food! Great service and atmosphere!
Very cute and cozy place. Food tasted amazing, super flavorful and real authentic. The salsas are amazing. We tried gorditas, Quesabirrias, and Chile Relleno and we loved it all. 10/10 recommend!
El Torito did not disappoint! The plates that we ordered had fresh ingredients and were scrumptious!! There was a salsa bar of 7 different homemade salsas to choose from. We tried most of them and they were all good. The owner Tony was amazing. Great customer service and he stressed that all of the food was authentic and fresh. He was right! They have a huge dining room and comfy seats! Please support this new business, it's worth it!
My first thought upon walking in was “I need to bring my wife here.” Unassuming from the outside, the interior boast bright decoration and some of the most comfortable chairs I’ve sat in at a restaurant. The homemade chips and salsa bar tides you over while waiting for your food… which is surprisingly fast! I got the verde enchilada plate (delicious), although I’ll have to come back for Taco Tuesday sometime. The beans were a little funnier than I am used to, but it mixed very well with the rice.
Great food! Hospitality 10/10, TVs, salsa bar, great margaritas, what else could I ask for? I will definitely be coming back to try their birria tacos and get more of their green salsa. I can tell my food was made with so much love!
Really good food authentic amazing my authentic Mexican fiancé loved it also. Thanks to everyone who works here for being very friendly. Family atmosphere very comfy come try it! I had the bistec ranchero and my fiancé had the quesabirria she said “that was bomb!”

Micheladas a 10, Salsa a 10, Food a 10! Atmosphere and decor a 10! The decor and dishes Beautiful! Had 2 birria tacos, chile poblano, bistec ranchero, taco de pastor. Everything was great minus the pastor. Only complaint is the portion size compared to price. With no wait staff the portion sizes could definitely be bigger.
They have amazing Mexican music playing in the background safe for kiddos, their food is so authentic and delicious they make everything freshly made for you. My family and I live far from this restaurant but we are willing to do the drive because they make the best and put all their effort to make it freshly as if they were cooking their own food. We are new to Texas and this is the only place we have found to be the most authentic. Thank you for all you guys do 😊🥰 We are super satisfied and will be our spot to continue to come

This place is pretty good, really enjoy this place and Food is good and very flavorful but the agua frescas aren’t that good especially since I LOVE AGUA DE HORCHATA but it tasted like it was made with powder but the food makes up for it.They have a salsa bar with 6 different salsas they aren’t spicy but gives the food an extra ooof to the food.
We made reservations at this place for a birthday breakfast celebration for a party of 13 @10:30am. Upon arriving, they will not greet you at the door nor sit you unless you go to the register towards the back which we initially did not know. Once seated, they brought out chips for our table and they have a self serve salsa bar which was great since there were so many varieties and flavors. To order, we were instructed to go back to the register to place our orders. I ordered the red chilaquiles as well as a coffee. To my great surprise, they had café de olla. It was delicious!! My chilaquiles came with beans and 2 eggs - beautifully presented but tasted just ok. I would consider going back to try something different off the menu.
I can say the food amazing. Yes, authentic Mexican food! Yes, sir! I can hear the cow and chicken in the kitchen getting cut up freshly made. Just a little sarcasm. Lol :) Free Chips and salsas are on point! Salsa not extremely hot but tasteful. You can pick and choose and it's there for your grabs. It's seems like family oriented but couldn't tell as far as the waitress I had this morning she seem not so polite. Other than the personality i received from her she seemed like a hard worker. Now the rest of the restaurant. Looks amazing comfortable chairs and sturdy tables. May I say extremely clean restaurant I love it.
1st time to try this little spot. Small menu. Food wasn't bad nor was it great. I'll visit again to try other items that Q'd my interest. I item of note was the Mexican coke, first place where the coke actually was so cold it was partially frozen.
Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday and wasn’t busy at all. Nice little place in a shopping center. Wasn’t greeted after standing near the door about 2 mins and saw there was a line and register so figured there was no table service (apparently there is). Ordered enchiladas suizas, an Al pastor taco, and a Pacifico beer. Beer was nice and cold too! Picked a table, sat and was told my food would be brought to the table. I saw others with chips and salsa but I got no chips. There is a salsa bar for your food that is self serve. Learned this when my food was brought. I did ask for chips at that time and they were quickly brought to me. Overall food was good, wasn’t hot which was disappointing, but very good. There were a lot of menu options and would def like to come back and try other options.

First time trying it and I did not like it. The meat was very tough. I would not recommend it and I'm not willing to try it again. There are much better restaurants at $18 a plate. Spent $60 on lunch and walked away very disappointed.

Steak wasn’t real steak tacos was terrible . We asked for our margarita to have sugar around the rim, we got salt instead the server told us that’s how they prepared the cups and that she didn’t hear us when we said sugar which was a lie then told us they don’t do refunds. Yall sucks!!!!!
Let me start by saying I make it a point to try all the taco spots in my neighborhood . I love a good authentic taco no frills just a beautiful tortilla and flavorful meat onions cilantro a tasty salsa I’m in heaven. Unfortunately the food we ordered tonight has no flavor I mean NONE . It’s like there wasn’t even basic salt and I mean on anything! The asada tacos were like rubber with no seasoning the chicken tacos as well we couldn’t even get through one . I also ordered Birria again NO flavor on the meat which is weird because the consume actually wasn’t bad. The meat though was like literally all fat so by the time I took the giant pieces of straight fat out there was nothing left in the tortilla.I’m confused as to how this is authentic. The taco shells were not cooked either it was as if they took them out of a bag and served them. The beans and rice also just no flavor. I was really looking forward to dinner tonight and for 30 dollars plus a tip I’m super dissatisfied that I can’t get through even one thing that I ordered. We ordered Quesobirria tacos, asada tacos, supposed to be fajita de red and fajita de pollo tacos as well but clearly none of these tacos shown are fajitas. Very disappointing.
This was our first time trying this place. We are very disappointed. I would not recommend at all. I will give them credit that the cafe de olla was good. However, the horchata was spoiled, the meat was slimy, and the price was outrageous for what you get. We paid over $80 for food that wasn’t quality and small portions. Very upset about that! Also, the podcast “Call Her Daddy” was playing over the speakers rather than music. I would understand if there are no customers but it was so odd. Never going back.
Hated it. Food was terrible. Most of the tables were dirty. There was a strong chemical smell like turpentine. I had the taco plate and both the carne asada & al pastor tasted like bad meat. I couldn't eat them. The salsa bar looked like everything was old (picó de gallo, dry limes had been left out for a while). Will never go back.
