Very good burgers, shakes/malts & fries all the food was so good, large portions we absolutely loved it, and although from our of town if I'm ever in the area again I would make a point to stop here and eat it's that good! Great job harold's crew!

They had a song from the Road House (1989) soundtrack playing on the radio and the cast of Hannah Montana on the wall, making $8 for a single cheese burger somehow reasonable. Jimmy Stewart watched me chew but Billy Ray watched me swallow ;) that joke was in bad taste but the meat in my mouth sure wasn't.

Took a drive and Frosty’s in Alturas, CA was a safe and solid spot for burgers, fries, and A+ shakes. We had a chocolate malt which was perfect. From the traditional cheeseburgers, tasty chicken tenders, and corn dogs, Frosty’s had a solid American vibe w the decor to follow. The cashier who took our order made us laugh and we enjoyed ourselves, leaving w full bellies. Happy spot. Pop-Culture decor. Nice hidden gem in a small town. Milkshake flavors galore!!

Great location, right on US 395 in Alturas, CA. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant, and the variety of food choices. Prices are small and portions are big. Service was quick and friendly. I'll definitely stop in next time I'm driving through.

The chicken breast sandwich was surprisingly good. I especially enjoyed the sweet pickles and crispy onion. My husband's Cheeseburger was also perfectly prepared and quite good. The French fries we hot and delicious. We plan to go back soon.

I give this place 4 stars because their food quality alone. The workers are nice, and the service can take a bit of time, but I definitely think its made up for with how good the food is. Usually food wait time is around 10 to 15 minutes. Also they have some really good milkshakes.

For the type of classic frosty/burger stand quality food they present, this place isn't too shabby. If you're NOT looking for a gourmet burger, this place will do just fine. I was quite honestly repulsed by the sweet pickles on the bacon cheeseburger, because dill is the way I prefer them...but, otherwise, a good burger. Onion rings were soggy instead of crisp...good malt though. A bit overpriced, although I do blame the state of California for that...they're the reason every business is failing.

Enjoyed theie burger and fries plus fast service even when they were busy.. the fries are handcut and tasty. The perfect balance of crispy ones and soggy ones that I like though a little less salt would make them even better.. The burger was very juicy and I liked tthat they use sweet pickle instead of dill. Walked away happy and satisfied. I also enjoyed the retro burger stand vibe.

This place has a lot of history to it actually and was one of my favorite places to go in high school everyday for lunch. They have great milkshakes and awesome theme on the inside. Great place for kids. You can choose a ton of different toppings for your icecream

This is a great place to stop and eat if you have time, the atmosphere is an old 80s style which makes it a great place to stop by and relax. The cook and cashier are very nice, and can make great small talk. The food is great, but, at least the burgers, aren't very good for takeout, because they get soggy quickly. All in all good experience

Fries used to be horrible but the cheese burger was decent and over all was pretty quick, place is small but I will definitely be coming back cause it has good customer service and has the best strawberry Banna shake I've ever had!

Middle of nowhere, was happy to find a place to eat. Unfortunately this burger joint didn't smell like burgers and fries. Didn't smell like anything until a very sweaty nasty man walked it and it smelled like week old armpit with armpit on top. I didn't order but my friend said the burger and fries were about avg, nothing to write home about. The guy at the register was quite not happy or smiley just an rbf displayed. I was hoping for a good old country dinner with big happy smiles and the smell of good food permeating the place. Either way, grateful for a place to eat and a clean bathroom, interesting photo decor.

Quick stop on the way through. Over priced costco hot dog on burnt bun. My friend had the double cheese burger, fries and a peanut butter milkshake. He does recommend the milkshake.

It's a nice little place. No air conditioning, but at least Alturas summers aren't too bad. I liked the Ms. Pacman machine in the back. The food was very tasty, and there's a lot of it. However, over $50 for a couple burgers and fries with shakes, and chicken strips for the kid is a bit much. I don't really see myself visiting again any time soon for this reason alone. If the prices were better this would probably be a regular place for us.

Not bad. Decent burgers but I don't care for the rubbery American cheese. And it's the 2nd time I've been there and they didn't have avocado, but neglected to advertise they didn't have any. Take it off the menu then. Fries were okay, per my husband who is picky about fries. The girl was working by herself and got our order out in a timely manner, pleasantly. I'll bring my own avocado next time, lol.

Great service. Milkshakes are awesome. The burgers for me are definitely not the best is the west, I would say they are average. My meal for a burger with bacon, no cheese and a large drink came to $12.

I walked into an empty restaurant and had to wait for the workers to finish their conversation in a foreign language before I was waited on. The food is adequate. Prices are a little high. I won't go back

Most overpriced fast food restaurant I have ever been to. Jr Burger, single burger two fries and small coke each $24 dollars. Plus change. Inflation doesn't cause that greed does.

They say are the best. Not even close, The BBQ place heading north out of town has the best burgers ever. The next best is the wagon wheel.

I wasn't disappointed with the food it was what you'd expect from a Frosty burger joint, but I was shocked at how much they charge. Remember this is a Frosty, the typical burger place you see in most rural places, so I didn't pay attention to the prices as we ordered. We ordered 2 double cheeseburgers a regular fry, and a medium soda, the total price for the meal was just about $38.00! I understand everyone has to make a living, but give me a break almost $40 for a couple burgers, a soda, and fries.

The staff was friendly, confident and did a good job. However, the prices were insane!! I paid over $17 for a burger no pickle no cheese, medium fries, and a medium shake. The fries were way too salty, the dog wouldn't even eat them, the shake was mediocre at best, and the burger was dry. Plus a few for using debit card. Not going back...

5 stars?? You got to be kidding me. The burgers I would have to say are better than lazy b's. Still I don't like sweet pickle in my burger. It took the guy 3 times to give me the right change. Also $9.75 a combo is down right laughable. I really don't see how this place is still open.

Sorry but I was very disappointed. The only burger joint in town. The fries were old. The service was poor. And the burgers were mediocre at best. I believe that them being the only burger joint makes him think that they can serve food that is less than stellar because it's the only place to buy a burger but. There's a gas station down the street called The pit stop which I enjoyed at Burger from the other day and it was excellent the fries were great. The cook was pretty good with his service. Not only that but he was running the gas station at the same time.
