Had a great dinner with my family! The atmosphere was welcoming, with friendly staff and a kid-friendly vibe. Nice music added to the experience, and the service was excellent. The tuna steak sandwich was a standout, highly recommend it!

We got there a bit late and they were out of clams, but it didn’t matter because the grilled tuna sandwich was phenomenal. Worth the trip alone. Also had the crab corn chowder and lobster roll. Great food. Great atmosphere. Parking was surprisingly easy, but it started to pick up again as we were leaving.

My friends visited Clam Bar at Napeague last September and they miss their Tuna Bits so much. This was the reason why they were willing to spend 2.5 hours driving us to Montauk for from Queens. The decor of the restaurant is an authentic street food stand with brilliant red and white. During COVID-19, they only serve with curbside pickup via their website, so there is free WiFi available for you to order the food due to the poor phone service there. The options on the menu are limited compared to last September based on my friends’ memory. We tried their Tuna Bits, grilled tuna steak with salad, lobster salad roll and signature lobster BLT. All the food was amazingly fresh and delicious with reasonable portion. Our favorite was definitely the Tuna Bits. It was well-fried with soft but thin layer of dough and it’s also super juicy inside. My friends told us sometimes they used Toro and fry it to medium rare, which was the best tuna they have ever had. We must visit again if we are in the neighborhood and will recommend the place to our friends.

A really great place to eat. We had fried calamari as an appetizer then lobster roll. The bread was toasted with butter. My son had chicken tender with fries. Overall it was good.

Clam Bar is a place that never disappoints. You can’t go wrong with their lobster roll and fried clams—they’re always top-notch. The atmosphere is casual, more like a fast-food joint with a bit of character. Although I’m not usually a fan of fast food, Clam Bar has won me over. It’s a real gem, and I absolutely love it here. However, I do think the service could use some improvements. Despite this, the great food and relaxed vibe make it a spot worth visiting.

The food was pretty decent for Montauk area. We went 4th of July weekend and they did say the kitchen was backed up when we sat down. We didn’t mind. The wait to sit was about 20 minutes. Another 30 mins to get food. Food was decent and not outrageously priced. Ordered the “clam bake”. Lobster was cooked perfect. Only issue was steamed potatoes were almost raw but who eats the potatoes anyway. Waitress was very nice and accommodating. Family had fish and chips and the crabby Patty. Overall recommend. One thing that was an issue were the oysters on the half shell - filled with shells. Person opening them needs some training. Clams on half shell are very very small. All was fresh.

We visited the Clam Bar and decided to share some appetizers and a few buckets of seafood. While we received half of our appetizers fairly quickly, we ended up waiting about an hour and a half for the rest of our food. Unfortunately, the other half of the appetizers never arrived. After another hour, our server informed us that the fryers were down, which delayed the fried calamari, and there was no clear reason why the soup wasn't served. However, she offered us free drinks, which we declined, and then provided free soup and a plate of steamers as compensation. We appreciated the effort to make up for the delays. The clams were very good, and the music was a nice touch with plenty of classic rock. The atmosphere was pleasant, and there wasn't much of a wait time for seating. Parking can be a bit tricky on the side of the street, but it's manageable. Although we would have appreciated a manager coming over to apologize, the server's attempts to rectify the situation were appreciated. Overall, it was a decent experience, and we enjoyed the food once it arrived.

Very nice place! Good and fresh seafood. Unfortunately I was sure that they would be selling local lobster... Their lobster is being imported from Maine and it was 45$...which would be a reasonable price if I couldn't have a bigger portion in Maine for not even half the price. But overall a good experience with tasty (but pricey) food!

We thought it would be a good experience but unfortunately it wasn't, the place is apparently very nice, nice people, good music and good location, the bad thing is the delay with table service, the waiters forget the orders (they don't like to take note), we ordered a grilled tuna and they didn't serve it anymore, then we wanted a hot lobster roll and a bucket (and it arrived cold), the fish and chips they forgot and when we were done they wanted to bring them according to them in two minutes and more than 5 minutes passed, we asked for the bill and went to a Deli.. you eat better faster ...

While the service and vibe were great, we all ordered the Buttered Lobster roll and the meat was tough and dry, rather than juicy and soft as normal. Given the price, I'd skip the lobster rolls here.

Mosquitoes and Flies galore at dusk were intolerable. They even provided bug spray, but it didn't help. We weren't done eating, and they started closing up everything around us. I waited several times, to get a drink, a set if utensils, condiments, the service was poor. The food was just okay, nothing much to brag about... the Lobster Roll was actually decent, and the portion was good, thus they get 3☆s for the food. They are pet friendly as well.

Mosquitos were everywhere so that def dampened the experience, but overall the vibe of the restaurant was very cool. The seafood boil was awesome. The lobster roll was meh. The sushi dog was very cool. This place is unique and fun for a once in a while vibe.

Clam chowder was great very tasty, the fresh clam was interestingly warm which is kinda weird to my liking and lobster roll was meh.. the bread was already soggy so it’s not really a great texture. The wait was not bad, we waited for 20-25minutes. Service was great and very fast.

Poor service overshadowed good food We came here, based on recommendations from traveler guides. It is quite an authentic experience, and the atmosphere is very nice. However, the service was quite poor. First, the waitress emptied, a third of the soup into into my purse and without apologizing or searching for solutions such as bringing wipes. Service was slow and the ladies and gentlemen serving us and other customers seemed to be bored or annoyed that they have to be working that day. We had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated even though seven tables were completely empty and I was wondering what they were waiting for, and when I asked no explanation was given. Nobody looked after the toilets and they were messy. Food: The bucket with lobster tail etc. Arrived without the butter, stone hard potatoes, and no utensils to crack the shells, and cold clams. Getting the attention of waiters impossible. So eventually, I got up and walked up to the bar myself to mention about the potatoes and butter and they were completely overwhelmed with handling complaints. No training whatsoever. She offered me new potatoes, but at this point everybody had eaten and I don’t want a single serving of butter and potatoes. In total this was $250 and not worth it.

I was sitting in my car, dealing with a little anxiety, when a man suddenly appeared and started yelling at a woman trying to park next to me. At first, I wasn’t sure if he was serious or if they knew each other. Then I noticed her young daughter was still sitting in the car while he continued to yell at her mother. After the woman walked into the bar area, he turned his back then immediately spun around and started yelling at her again, saying she wasn’t allowed to order food. She kept apologizing, and that’s when I realized: this man wasn’t a friend he was being a complete bully. I got out of my car and joined my two girlfriends at a nearby table. One of them turned to him and said, “We’re not paying for our food until she gets hers.” He quickly stormed off. We spoke with the employees and learned that this man John and he is the husband of the woman who originally owned this historic place. Honestly, I hope she throws him out. I can’t imagine how he treats her behind closed doors. The staff even told us he talks to them the same way. John, if you see this get help. You showed the most narcissistic, public display of verbal abuse I’ve ever witnessed. Shame on you. That restaurant, and everyone in it, deserves better. Especially that woman and her daughter.

We stopped here after our trip to Montauk because we had been here before Covid and enjoyed the fresh clams. There is plenty of parking and you have to dine out on the picnic tables because this is a beach style restaurant. The food was very disappointing, to say the least. It is no longer sourced locally but frozen and fried. It took a very long time for our lunch to be cooked even though it was not very busy. The food is very pricey considering that it is all frozen from a box. The cole slaw was disgusting and sour. I rarely ever write negative reviews like this, but I know I would never patronize this place again. The fish was obviously deep fried and had a lot of breading. Clearly, I'm not a fan. If you want a lobster roll, be prepared to spend over 50. Once again, frozen from a food service company and not locally sourced. Go to Shop Rite's frozen foods section, and you'll get a better meal for 1/5 of the cost. It was not worth it to dine here. On a positive note, the bathrooms were clean even though they had the heat blaring. There is also free Wi-Fi! The atmosphere is meh. There are no sites to see. No ocean views, etc. You can amuse yourself to see if you can find poison ivy on the side of the lot giving bonus points to see how many people walk through it. There is no place to eat indoors with ac, but it is a roadside take out place. As for the service, it was good and they do provide you with plastic utensils,etc. It is not very eco-friendly, but it is what it is. Whoever owns this place has a cash cow operation. They should pay their workers more. When you get your bill, the tip options are there in big letters. Tip in cash. Otherwise, it's even less money for the hardworking staff who sweat to death in the blazing heat to make this fried boxed food for you to consume.

It might have been a bad day or a bad batch but this Lobster made me violently sick. As someone who has traveled to countries like China and Brazil to eat all sorts of amazing unique foods, I don't often get sick at all. Even if I ate something bad chances are it will not impact me that much. However, after having dinner here I ran a fever and could not stop vomiting. This was followed up by a couple more days of feeling very sick and this almost ruined my Labor Day weekend. Sadly when I called to tell the restaurant they offered me a partial refund on the lobster only however it did not give me a full refund. It was the worst experience I've ever had eating lobster.

So there was a 15 minute wait for a table which was no big deal. The hostess was very friendly and kind. Our waitress - not so kind after we did not order alcoholic beverages. She did not even check on us once. When we were waiting for a table we were looking at menus in which we thought stated the lobster rolls came with french fries. We ordered two lobster rolls. I flagged down our waitress to ask about if the lobster rolls came with fries and with the biggest attitude she was like “ummmm NO” and rushed away. Not “no, sorry it doesn’t come with french fries but do you want a side of fries?” It was so rude, dismissive, and belittling the way she said it. She could not be bothered with us after we didn’t order alcoholic drinks to “up” the bill. It was like we were taking up her table she did not want to serve. When we first sat down the whole table was very sticky so i had to align the edge of the table with napkins. (how ickkkk!) The rest of the waitresses/water boy were very kind and attentive when I asked for our check. I was going to purchase a hat but it’s safe to say I will not be returning here due to poor service and the lobster rolls were not great, average but nothing to write home about. The lobster was overcooked, tasteless and i was constantly taking shells out of my mouth every time i bit down into it. Served on a regular hot dog bun that was soggy drenched in butter. Theres better places to go, with better quality and less expensive. As a foodie, I was just not impressed.
