Food was amazing! The Red Devil sushi roll was delicious and so was my Iced Thai coffee! My kiddo also really loved her Sake/salmon Sashimi and her Miso soup. Egg drop soup was really good too. We'll keep coming back! The atmosphere was also very relaxing and had an ambient vibe ❤️.

The food was absolutely amazing! The Drunken Noodles were soo tasty and some of the best I’ve had in West Texas. The Thai Tea was delicious. The staff were very friendly and attentive as well. Definitely coming back here again!

The food was good. We ordered two special sushi rolls and the Pad Thai noodles (Texas style). The service was pleasant and quick. Also, the soy sauce wasn’t too salty, which was great because some places make it excessively salty. Overall, we spent $25 per person—not a bad price considering the portions were well-served.

Excellent Sushi and Curry here! Portions are BIG and flavors are amazing. We got the Red Curry and Vegas roll. Service was great and surprisingly fast for a full restaurant. Definitely glad we stumbled across this hidden gem in Amarillo. Would recommend to anyone looking for good food.

This place came highly recommended on a recent trip to Amarillo and I must say, it lived up to our expectations! It's a very unassuming place but the food is some of the best Thai food you can get in Texas. We had the pad Thai, red curry and the tom kha gai. The Thai iced tea was served in a cute metal cup. Service was excellent. Bring an appetite!

Ate here with my wife to try another place in town for sushi. The sushi that is offered here is quite good. You can tell that Bangkok-Tokyo put a lot of effort with flavors and combinations. Even with one sushi roll that had crawfish. I was skeptical of it but it turned out much better than I thought. If you’re looking for great sushi, Bangkok-Tokyo is probably one of the best if not the best place in Amarillo to get sushi.

I moved from the West Coast and couldn't find a Thai soup I used to enjoy. I tried a lot of places until I came here and I was so excited! It's a small restaurant, but the food, service and atmosphere were perfect. I recommended them to family that visited from out of state and they also really enjoyed their experience.

Some of the best surprises come in small, or in the case of dining, small restaurants. Bangkok-Tokyo is tiny by most standards, and trying to pack 30 people in there might be a little bit of a stretch. But stretch they do, with every table occupied and a line out the door at a recent lunch rush. Oh, and never mind the constant traffic of those picking up their takeaway orders. The phone was ringing constantly. All signs of good food, and I vouch for this being among Amarillo’s best when it comes to Asian cuisine. I went with the yellow curry and tofu. This is a pretty standard dish where Thai food is served, a meatloaf-and-mashed-potatoes kind of dish you see on every menu. They delivered it with panache, the crispy tofu a nice contrast to the soupy curry and cooked vegetables. My colleagues ordered a Spicy Chicken Basil and Bangkok Tokyo Noodle with Beef. We had Veggie Tempura for an appetizer. I suspect if this place were bigger, its crowds would increase proportionally. As it stands, I heard they only have three woks in the tiny kitchen, which means when diners all come at once, there is never a dull moment back there. But the magic happens, and this place warrants a return.

Originally being from the Texas Panhandle/South Plains, I was in Amarillo a lot in the past. Long before I was writing Yelp reviews I would come to this restaurant every time I came to Amarillo. Recently, I returned to the area to visit and upon arriving in Amarillo around lunch time after a 10 hour drive, I headed straight here. I’ve seen a few reviews saying that people may be put off by the exterior but after having come here so many times I find it endearing and authentic. The parking lot is small and so is the dining area. This place gets packed but luckily on both counts I’ve never had to wait. I like everything about this place, from the decorations to the ambiance, it feels very vibrant. The staff is super friendly and the guy running the front area and wait staff, is one of the most outgoing, gregarious people I’ve ever met. The food quite simply is amazing! Over the years I’ve had almost every sushi roll or sashimi here and have never left disappointed. The Thai food is bursting with authentic flavor and incredibly delicious and as spicy as you desire. I’ve been living in Houston for a while now and I would still put the Thai food at Bangkok Tokyo on that upper echelon tier with some of the restaurants in the area. Who knew you could find authentic Thai food in West Texas? I did. Now you do to. If you are ever in Amarillo whether by choice or not, make your best decision to eat at Bangkok Tokyo!

Enjoyed the meal for the most part. I had tum Kai Kai soup delicious. Had the eel first time, very interesting consistency, I liked it. Now the corrections. Tea served was from a tea bag. I like my tea in a diffuser slowly seeping much more appropriate.The water was so hot i had to add a chunk of ice for it to be drinkable,be careful. This is a very very small place, with the noise level and chatter way over done. I couldn't get past the chaos. The service was on point. The price was reasonable.

Had an early lunch/dinne, ordered 3 different dishes. The staff was great; friendly and attentive. The lot is small, it was pretty packed. Seating area is VERY small too, you're pretty much touching elbows/backs. (Iwouldn't have a private conversation there) The food was very pretty. I don't know if I misunderstood but I thought my sushi rolls were going to be fried (shrimp tempura). They were not. Room temp sushi was not for me. I tried to eat it anyway but I couldn't get over the temperature of the seafood. I felt bad leaving most of it. I'm giving it 4 stars bcuz ppl should give it a chance, as the staff was really great. It just wasn't for me. It's very family friendly. They DO make you feel like an old friend visiting and have time for a quick bite.

Did not expect in the least to be blown away by Thai food in Amarillo TX. Each dish we ordered was excellent, tasty, sharp complementary flavours. Service was polite and fast. They accommodated vegetarian dietary substitutions with no issue.
