Attended the Simi 5 wine taster and 5 course dinner. It was a very fun and pleasant experience. Great staff amazing food wonderful wine. Update: Brought my in-laws here and had another amazing experience. The food was perfect for me, and even when my husband and his mothers linguini noodles were over done, a separate order was brought perfectly cooked. Drinks were spot on, and if they weren't perfect the 1st time they soon were. Thank you Eddie, and staff for always being friendly and hospitable.
The best meal I have had in a long time, and I eat out often in Amarillo. The steak and salmon were perfectly cooked, and the service we received from Cooper was kind, attentive, and professional. We will be putting Cask & Cork in our plans more often.
Had a great dinner for our anniversary. Food was served quickly and hot! Cocktails and dessert were a delight and great atmosphere in the ground level seating. Waiter was very attentive without hovering. Will return again!!
30th Anniversary dinner began with a great phone convo, making reservations. Arrived early, we were greeted with “happy anniversary,” Tim was our server, and couldn’t have been better!! Everyone at this establishment convinced us we mattered. Manager was engaging and involved! Food was outstanding, and came out promptly! Can’t recommend enough, and we’re already making plans to return.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! Every time my husband and I are in Amarillo, this is our go-to spot. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care. The service is just as wonderful—friendly, attentive, and welcoming every single visit. It feels like coming home every time we walk through the door. Consistency, quality, and heart—that’s what makes this place truly special. Highly recommend!
We’ve dined in places all over the world and our meals were one of a kind. The lobster ravioli, the ribeye, taco appetizer and the drinks were spot on. Service - perfect. Food - amazing. Management was apologizing for the time waiting for the food and we were happy just enjoying gabbing over drinks while we waited. We will be back… many times.
Absolutely wonderful birthday dinner—drove 3 hours and would do it again! Amazing, quick service, friendly staff (Max was attentive and kind!), and delicious food. I’ve been vegetarian for 11 years and decided to get my first ribeye here after reading all the great reviews! The sous chef was willing to meet with us after our meal, which was awesome. Even got a free slice of cake for my birthday! I highly, highly recommend Cask and Cork!!
Excellent food and drinks. I had the burger which was wonderful and excellent sweet potato fries. The 1903 cocktail was excellent! The establishment is two stories with lots of seating inside and out but it is very popular, I can see why reservations would be needed on weekend nights. Staff was friendly. Atmosphere was awesome! Lots of parking.
Started with the best fried calamari I’ve had in my life! The slices were thick cut like fries, and lightly breaded. Combined with the peppers is the perfect bite. The red snapper was meaty and paired well with the garlic lemon pepper sauce. Mushroom risotto was tasty, I liked the pepper. All went down well with the Pondaseta I-40 IPA. Came back the next day to try the Brussels sprouts and Philly cheesesteak. Brussels were a hit, and the Philly meat was nice and tender, needed an acid like the pickle to go with each bite. Will return to try more of the menu when back in town
We showed up at 8pm on a Saturday night and were seated immediately. I was expecting to wait at least half an hour but the place was not busy at all. I had the Short Rib and my date ordered the bison steak. The meats were perfect, the veggie medley that came with the meal was not great and frankly seemed like a lazy choice. My plate had some delicious mashed potatoes and the balsamic reduction was very good. We picked out the creme Brule for dessert. It was good except the dollop of fruit that was on it tasted like it came from a can. I would've preferred for that dollop to not even be there. I took off one star because of the dessert and the veg medley. The cocktails were good. I'd come back for the cocktails, except that there's another place nearby with amazing cocktails so I'd likely go there rather than here.
A few weeks ago, I came to eat here with my fiancé and future in laws for brunch. I liked that the restaurant was not too busy and very calming. First of all, the service from wait staff was quite excellent. Our server was very understanding, cordial and patient with us and deserved a generous tip. The food was absolutely delicious. I know that for right now, Amarillo doesn’t have the different unique restaurants as does Lubbock for pretty much every category, but having a place like Cask and Cork really does Amarillo a solid. Something other than the usual IHOP, Waffle House or even Jimmy’s Egg. I personally had the Country Benedict. Cooked very well and outstanding in presentation. Along with that I was able to eat some of the French toast which was also delicious. All around the table, I don’t think one bad thing was said about any of the food or drinks that we had. The coffee was tasteful and not bland like in other places, and the mimosas were mixed well. Overall, I do recommend this place as a good place for brunch or breakfast if you’re looking for something on Sunday after church or throughout the week.
The filet was excellent. Great cut, perfectly cooked, thick, very well seasoned, tender. All around it carried the meal. The green beans were not very good though and barley touched a skillet. The ribeye was very thin, about half an inch and over cooked. Well seasoned but if it had been mine, I'd be disappointed despite the good sized portion. The chicken fry was tasty, but tough in several places, requiring a bit of sawing and chewing. If I hadn't have gotten the filet, this review would be lower. Our server was excellent. Sat upstairs hence the mediocre atmosphere score.
Updated Review: changed from 2/5 to 4/5. This second experience was much better than our first. We placed a reservation and was seated immediately upon arrival. My wife ordered the beef bulgolgi wraps for an appetizer I find this dish underwhelming but my loves it. I ordered the steak and pasta dish. The steak was tasty and the pasta was creamy and delicious. The wait staff was exceptional as always. This was a world's better experience than last time but for the price can't quite push this restaurant to 5 stars considering the quality of the food. If you want flash cash and impress a date with decent food, bring them here. If you're married and just keeping the fire alive by dating every Friday, I recommend you try this place at least once. The service is outstanding and I'm sure you'll find a dish that's tasty. 4/5
Our experience here was good. Food and drinks are a little on the higher side. The establishment was beautiful and the staff were amazing. At no point did we have to flag anyone down for service. Our drinks were always filled. We went here as an anniversary dinner. My husband ordered the bison and I had the ribeye. We ordered nachos as the appetizer. Would definitely not recommended if you are not hungry. The serving size was plenty more than we could eat. The first time it came out the cheese was cold and I mentioned it to my husband. The server overheard us and assured us it was not supposed to be. She called the manager over and they had a new one brought out. We were not expecting that level of service. (They were definitely better warm.) Our food came and was delicious. (Best ribeye in Amarillo hands down.) We ordered a few recommended drinks from our server and left in good spirits. 😄 Overall, this was a great experience.
The service and atmosphere are top notch, while the food is just lacking. For the price you pay here, you expect the food to be something unforgettable, but it’s just average. I’ve been here twice and it’s just not a place I look to take my wife to for something special. There are several restaurants nearby that give a superior experience for the price.
We eat here a few months ago for our anniversary. First time being here. It was ok. Wasn’t over the moon impressed. We didn’t have reservations but got there when They opened and were able to be seated upstairs. Ambiance was good. Service was friendly and acceptable. Food was good but we’ve had better. Especially for the price. Parmesan Fries very underwhelming. We’ve definitely had better. The wrap wasn’t bad. Sweet potato fries were good. Husband liked the meatloaf but “it’s not as good as your mom’s”. Dessert … cake was dry.
I'd give zero if possible. We had dinner upstairs tonight 3/9, and they didn't seem to be too busy. We ordered three surf and turfs and one bison. We waited well over an hour after we ordered. Everything was served cold, basically room temperature. My total total ticket with tip was 423 dollars. I'll never go back!!! I can have cold dinner at home for much less.
