Great Texas BBQ! Doug's is a Traditional hole in the wall spot, owned and run by Henk, the man cutting up the ribs behind the counter. We ordered the 3 rib plate which includes potato salad, cold slaw, extra sauce and a drink. We are travelers and came to experience hometown Texas bbq. The atmosphere was charming, the service was hometown friendly and the food delicious!

Excellent BBQ! Not spicy so ask for extra sauce 👍. Very small sign so just look for long red building 😊.

Great meat, great service, friendly people. Typical of the Texas-style "hole in the wall" BBQ joint, there is nothing ordinary about this place. There is plenty of meat and lots of other things, the prices are more than fair, service is fast. Jeff Henks took over in March 2025 and has continued the tradition of excellent food. Unlike some other joints, they discard the hard crush and the fat from the meat before chopping it up, leaving pure meat with pure flavor! Their sauce is incredible! The frito pie is a secret guilty pleasure. A whole pie is difficult to finish in one sitting.

Talk about a hole in the wall! Just left there. It's so homey and the food was really, really good. Given, they were chopped brisket sandwiches, they were pretty damn good. Potato salad was also pretty good, husband enjoyed the hot link he'd gotten.

Our food was Amazing. Just exactly like I remember. Great price, and local. Definitely coming back, even though they only changed the name.

This was the BEST OF THE BEST place I have EVER eaten at, the food is amazing, the vibe is amazing and, the service is amazing. This is so far my favorite place to eat at, would HIGHLY RECOMMEND EATING HERE!

Being here only 2 years and from the East BBQ is one of my favorites. No disappointment here. Was like having your best friend fix you a meal. Smiling and quick service and the peach cobbler tasted like my Grammys.

Man .... You want good brisket?? This is it. This is the most tender brisket I've ever eaten with a nice piece of fat, and they delivered to me through Uber Eats. I have driven past this place thousands of times and told myself I was going to try it one day. I am so glad I did! True Texas BBQ. And the ribs fall off the bone, potato salad was good, beans were amazing, and I even liked the Cole slaw, which I normally don't eat but this was SUPER fresh and tasty! As well the portions are generous. One plate was enough for 2 people. I will definitely be going again! ❤️

Now, from what I understand there Is new owners and the guy who just bought it has been struggling to find help but making it happen very well! The food was out of this world, I had the chopped beef sandwich (with sauce) and some potato salad both were delicious. They had all the fixings too (peppers, pickles, onions) I can't say enough good about this place. I don't know what it tasted like 30 years ago, but I know that today when I went april 21st 2025, I had some excellent food with great service. Check them out now , thank me later. You're welcome.

However, it's fairly difficult to give a review when they don't have my top three meat choices to choose from. They were out of pork ribs and sliced beef.(I presume brisket.) And they don't offer pulled pork, to my dismay. So I went with the chopped beef, which was my fourth choice. It was flavorless mush and I cannot recommend it. The potato salad which served as my side was good. The chopped beef sandwich, potato salad, and sweet tea were $12.00, shown below. I remain neutral at this point.

Not sure where all the good reviews came from. I stopped by on a Monday when coming back from CO. Tyler’s was closed. The meat was gray with little flavor. I wouldn’t even say it was mediocre. Sorry, but I won’t be back.

Unseasoned mush!!!!! They don’t even grill their ham or sausage it comes from a warming drawer and just sliced off of cheap processed meat! Dont waste your money on this horrible food!!!

Don't believe the reviews. If you know SMOKED brisket, this is the last place you want to go. Probably the worst brisket I've ever had. It was... food. Literally like an oven baked pot roast. It 100% was not smoked on any pit. Zero smoke, zero flavor. In fact, it tasted like old oven baked pot roast that sat in the fridge for a week. I had to take bites of my mediocre potato salad just to cover the taste of it.

When I think of Texas BBQ i guess I have high standards. This place was TERRIBLE. The chopped beef was watered down with no flavor. The sauce taste like watered down ketchup. Worst BBQ ever
