Opinions de Jazzboline Restaurant & Bar Amherst
We had a wonderful Easter brunch experience! The buffet was lovely, lots of good options. Service was top notch with plates being cleared promptly. When my father commented that the eggs were cold, a manager brought out two plates of fresh eggs. You couldn't ask for better service. The music added to the atmosphere. Several staff members wished us happy Easter upon exiting. Couldn't be happier!
Went to this restaurant this evening with my family for my birthday and we all couldn’t stop saying wow. The atmosphere is amazing and the live jazz was wonderful. The cocktails were great and the bar is huge! But our waitress Shae was so wonderful, she was very helpful and meet all our needs promptly! ALL the food we ordered was out of this world and executed phenomenally!! I got the scallops on a bed of risotto and chocolate cherry bread pudding for dessert it was all fantastic! I highly recommend this place!
My niece and I sat outside and enjoyed the live band during Happy Hour and meal. The food and services was a 10 out of 10.
My girlfriend and I went there for dinner for the first time tonight. The service from the time we entered the restaurant was impeccable. Our food was cooked to perfection and they have an extensive drink and wine menu. They also have live music which really adds to the atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant and I can't wait to go back!
My husband and I have always enjoyed the great food and drinks at Jazzboline, and the waitstaff consistently provides excellent service. Recently, I had the pleasure of throwing a surprise birthday party for my husband there, and I can't say enough about how helpful Mike Overdorf was! He answered all my questions and made the party planning process seamless, from selecting the drink menu to choosing the meals, even including little boxes of chocolates as a special touch. During the party, the waitstaff, Michelle and Sara, were gracious, kind, patient, and attentive throughout the celebration.
What a gem of a place! We stay at Reikart every year and had never had the chance to eat dinner at Jazzboline until this past weekend. Everything was impeccable! Service, food and energy. The broiled Filet Mignon was a total standout as was the chocolate raspberry cake. Can't wait to dine here again in 2025.
Sunday Brunch. Live music, bloody marys and yummy food. Exactly what brunch should be. We were seated at the bar due to not having reservations and it was actually comfortable. The seats have backs and arms and with their chic covid privacy plexiglass it actually felt quite intimate. Wyatt our bartender/server was attentive and knowledgeable. Well done Jazzboline, well done.
This restaurant is not only beautiful, the food and service is outstanding! The menu selection was diverse and tastey, the cocktails were finely crafted. Definitely worth revisitng over and over.
We had my dad’s funeral lunch here for over 125 people and everything was excellent. The food was great, the space was open and well organized, and the staff was wonderful. Tracey was very responsive and easy to work with. The price was reasonable too. For a large event, I recommend Jazzboline.
Beyond the great food and atmosphere, which are both great, the service and support were amazing. First, the food is wonderful and watching the kitchen (had a seat looking into the open kitchen) was amazing. They moved like a well oiled machine and served up exciting and creative dishes. That being said, what really got me was the service. Not only are the staff attentive, but the leadership makes frequent table visits, as well. Excellence is in their nature. Last but certainly not least.. on a Saturday night, I left my credit card at the restaurant. The restaurant was busy, so I would really not have expected a call until the following morning. But they are better than that.. no more than 15 minutes are we left, I received a phone call. And, since I was not able to pick it up prior to close, I was directed to the hotel. The team member at the hotel was courteous and went to the restaurant to grab the card. The white glove service I received from beginning to end was wonderful. Thank you Milena and Marty (Reikart House) for such great service!
My wife and I ate here while we were in town. I had the blackened swordfish, my wife the salmon. Both were fantastic. Good size portions, fresh, well cooked,, overall really good experience. Our young waitress was unbelievably attentive to our needs, very friendly, I can't say enough about the service. The atmosphere is quite nice, clean, a great place for a special occasion.
Love the food here, also the open kitchen concept where you can watch them prepare meals. The place is so nice outside and great service!
Went with my boyfriend and his aunt last night absolutely wonderful!!! I got the filet meal it was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had it was so tender, my boyfriend and I like to dip our steaks in bbq sauce and we were pleasantly surprised they had it bc we have been to some fancy restaurants that didn’t lol. For drinks we just got coke-grenadenes and they even made that fancy and pretty with mariccino cherries. The veggies our entrees came with were so good then for dessert we got the crème brûlée it was amazing! The staff was so nice and friendly, two different servers came to box our left overs for us, even what appeared to be the manager came up to talk to us and made sure we were satisfied, we felt like royalty! The restaurant was beautifully decorated inside I loved the colors. I cannot wait to go back! What a wonderful dining experience 11/10!!!!!
Wow! This place was awesome! It felt like I had warped out of Buffalo temporarily. The risotto was incredible as was the fish special and the raspberry cake. The ambience and atmosphere felt dope. The best part of my experience was Olivia the server. She knew everything and I mean EVERYTHING about that menu. She was spot on with her recommendations. I was always taken care of and her vibe was fun. She elevated my experience beyond comprehension. One of the best servers I’ve ever had. Period. Thanks Jazzboline
such a great dining experience for my anniversary. Sarah you made tonight so special! excellent food and and excellent service
I got the strawberry watermelon salad and the clams. The clams were very good, and the Jazz music was nice and relaxing. Great spot for a nice dinner or lunch. For lunch the day before I got the half soup and salad with gazpacho that was amazing! Highly recommend the gazpacho, but it changes regularly.
It was busy at the restaurant with limited servers, but once our female server arrived we were given two free delicious cocktails for our wait. I had one of THE BEST espresso coffee martini’s ever! While my friend had the perfect old fashion! The NY strip steak was done to perfection medium rare, and the aujus was a mix of mushrooms and sweet savoury. Scrumptious and divine. We had ravioli and roasted brussel sprouts with bacon, and we were highly impressed as our pallets are harder to please with the amount of fine dining we do. Thank you Jazzboline and your fantastic chefs! We will definitely be back! Sorry no pictures as I enjoyed the drinks and food so much I forgot to take them!
I started talking to Mike back in November for a Welcome Party for a wedding on their fabulous patio. He was very accommodating with my different ideas and always answered my questions. A month before we decided to double our guest count and add music 3 days before the event and he just rolled with all the changes and pulled it off. The bartenders at our event were friendly and so much fun! Mike was around for the whole event and made sure it was going great. The musicians he was able to pull off last minute was so good. All our guest talked about how nice it was and great music!! Thanks Mike from the Curtis family! For the restaurant we ate there 2 days before our event and sat at the bar. Food was delicious and bartenders were awesome. It was a Wednesday night and they had music on the patio. The musicians that night were also really good! I highly recommend doing an event here and eating.
I don't want to eat inside restaurants still. Will I someday? I hope so. Until then, I am hoping to build a STRONG patio game and Jazzboline accommodated that for me on a day that they didn't even have the patio open. Our waitress was wonderful and everything was amazing. I think they have the calamari to beat, locally. We LOVED the flatbread too. Such small flashes of brilliance in everything we are. Pickled mustard seeds? Life changing. I can't wait to go back!
Lovely open eating area with plenty of seating for larger parties like ours. Food was cooked and presented beautifully. Service was excellent.
The staff and atmosphere are top tier! A bit pricey but the food was good. Service was amazing!
We had an absolutely wonderful evening at the wedding welcome cocktail party at the Breezeway for almost 100 people. The staff was top notch, the appetizers fantastic and the drinks were flowing. Mike was so wonderful to work with in planning the party and every request was no problem. The guests that had dinner at Jazzboline afterwords were equally impressed with their dinner and the service. We thank you so much for making the weekend very special.
Went there on mother's day with some family BELIEVING I had a reservation for that morning, turned out I had made it for the following weekend! Despite knowing it was going to be a busy and packed day, they managed to squeeze us in for brunch and they were so kind and accommodating about the whole ordeal. Then we got to eating and GOODNESS GRACIOUS it was some of the best food I've ever had. I never thought a buffet could be that delicious and I definitely plan on being back!!!!
A beautiful place that is warm and inviting. It is a bit loud, but the tables away from the door are quieter. I recommend making reservations in advance as it is quite popular. We came for brunch and then back for dinner, and both experiences were great. The brunch food eggs benedict and burgers) and drinks were every bit as good as some of the best I've been to in NYC! The dinner was great as well, with definite though put into each dish. We will definitely be back.
Tonights dinner was absolutely amazing like always. The scallops melt in your mouth and the Orecchiette pasta simply delicious. The manager Chelsea is so phenomenal she makes you want to come back again and again. The service here is always outstanding. I would love to have posted pictures but it was so good we ate it to fast. Deserts will leave you speechless ❤️. If you haven't tried jazzboline you are definitely missing out on an amazing dining experience.
Jazzboline holds a very special place in mine and my husband's heart. Last night, I made us a reservation to celebrate a bunch of things happening in our life and it was one of the nicest dinners we have ever had. First, our waitress, Shea, was AMAZING! She was nice, knowledgeable, and super helpful (she answered all of my one million questions). Second, the food was simply out of this world. Everything from our calamari appetizer to our steak and scallops entrees were perfect. Lastly, the cocktails were absolutely on point. I cannot say enough good things about the food, drinks, staff, and atmosphere. Jazzboline is going to continue to be a regular spot for us! :)
My friend brought me here for my birthday and we had such a lovey time on the beautiful and breezy patio! The food was absolutely fantastic and so was the service. We didn't feel rushed at all, our water glasses stayed full, and every course was perfectly timed. The food was presented beautiful, it was all cooked and seasoned to perfection. We will definitely be back!!
Jazzboline is one of my favorite places to eat. The food is always amazing, the drinks are always right, the service is always top notch! The atmosphere is professional yet casual and that can be hard for restaurants to pull off. Every single time I leave I thank the chef because it's always a pleasure to experience different flavors on my taste buds.
Delicious food, great atmosphere. Sara S was our server and she was so fun and knowledgeable about the menu. Can't wait to come back.
Great restaurant with live music. There were great food choices from the bar menu, and a full dining menu that also could be had at the bar. I had the house flatbread and a Bombardier and they were both very good, and reasonably priced. The service was very attentive, although they had a full house and a one-hour wait for a table. Happy hour starts at 4.00 pm, and dinner starts at 5.00 pm.
Our server was Sarah and she was awesome! We took our daughter there for her birthday dinner while we were in town and she truly made the occasion special. My burger came out under cooked but she rectified it immediately. In the end, I was happy. Dessert was phenomenal.
They cater highly to food allergies and the nice waitress double checked the kitchen before confirming; whether or not I can eat it. It is expensive but it is worth it.
What a nice place, beautiful bar and great selections. The wife and I went for drinks and some snacks to see a friend, the cocktail she had was awesome and they have a very nice beer selection as well. They also have an incredible selection of other spirits that were tasty as well as extensive. We had a small pizza and appetizer that was outstanding. This is a great place to go on a date or with friends/family if you want a nice evening or to impress. 5 stars, overall a very nice experience, we will go again soon!
This place has got it right. Food atmosphere drinks are all very good. Where they excel is service and customer satisfaction they go out of their way to make sure you're happy. And you have enjoyed the experience.
I really need more than 5 stars to rate our server Myah. Attentive without being intrusive. Food was perfectly cooked and just the right amount. I had the Kobe rib eye and my husband the Peruvian chicken. Both meats melted in your mouth. The dessert was a crème brûlée which was also top notch. This was our first time here but we will be back.
Jazzboline is one of my favorite places to eat in Buffalo!! I love the overall vibe - elevated and elegant - and how unique their menu is. For instance, the duck wings we had as the appetizer literally had hibiscus in the glaze and it went so well with the buttermilk ranch! The calamari was also fantastic, super light and crispy, not oily at all. For our mains I loved the seabass and lamb (plated over a delicious al dente risotto), both seasoned so well and cooked to perfection. The servers were very kind and attentive! Also, as a non-alcoholic drinker, I appreciate that Jazzboline offers so many refreshing & delicious mocktails :) There were a lot of other menu items that caught my eye, such as the crispy lion’s mane because it comes with a gochujang sauce, and many more - needless to say, I will definitely be back!
I’m late writing this, but we had a wonderful experience with Jazzboline/Reikart House! The Reikart Ballroom at Jazzboline was the perfect space to host our wedding luncheon after our Hindu ceremony on 9/24/25. Kennedy and Ray were incredibly attentive and helpful, making sure everything ran smoothly. Thank you to Kennedy, Ray, and the entire Jazzboline/Reikart House team! Highly recommend.
Had a 70th birthday party for my sister this past week. From the time we started planning the event till the last guest left Mike Overdorf was there overseeing everything! He was a great help planning our food and beverages for our guests. All servers and bartenders went out of their way to make the evening enjoyable. One server went out of her way to get an N.A. beer for a non drinker! Our family thanks all of you!!!
If I could give 10 stars I would! My husband and I are regulars and often eat at the bar. Service is wonderful, food is delicious and drinks are great! I've hosted many events for my company as well as a local board that I am part of. The banquet manager Mike is exceptional. I have hosted events for 7 - 75 people and he is always willing to advise on the best location (board room, private dining room or big event room) as well as help to make recommendations on menu, centerpieces and everything in between! A true professional that is truly an asset to Jazzboline! Mike and his team recently went out of their way and found a AAA battery for my presentation clicker during a recent event! (Anyone who has ever done a presentation knows how important the clicker is!) Courtney and Olivia are by far the best servers anyone could ask for. We always request them whenever possible. During dinner presentations everything flows smoothly and you hardly notice they are there! Mike, Courtney and Olivia make every event special and are truly exceptional!
I don’t even know how to express just how amazing this place is! My husband and I recently had our wedding here and the whole entire process was amazing! Mike the event planner seriously was the only reason planning my wedding wasn’t stressful! I can not say enough just how amazing Mike is! He paid attention to every little detail, and made whatever idea I had into a reality(which I can admit was not always the easiest task). I was able to enjoy my wedding morning because I knew I could trust Mike to execute our special day perfectly! Everything ran smoothly and Mike was always checking in and seeing what he could do to help and make sure the day had no issues at all my events, he was constantly going above and beyond. I had my bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, and wedding all here. The food and the service was great! Everyone has been telling me and my husband non stop just how great the food was! I would recommend anyone and everyone to have their wedding here! Mike is the absolute best person to trust with helping you have the perfect wedding day, or any event! Mike is a superstar!
We visited here after wedding dress shopping down the street. We sat at the bar for a drink and appetizers, all of which were incredible. We then moved to a table for dinner. Not only was the service and food excellent - the staff went above and beyond with a thoughtful little something for my sister who had just said yes to the dress. It made the day extra special and that will be a memory forever. We will absolutely be revisiting.
My 3 yr old son has severely food allergies and not only were they accommodating, but it was something they asked us on the phone when making our reservation, which was a nice surprise. We have 2 small children and don’t often take them out, especially to a nice establishment, as anyone with children knows how much of a challenge that can be. The entire staff from the moment we walked in made us and our kiddos feel so welcomed. We were able to make a reservation within 30 mins of arrival, and offered complimentary drinks when we had to spend a few short minutes in there very comfortable waiting area. The entire establishment is beautiful with different atmospheres offered for dining. From management, to our wonderful waitress, Sara, we were well taken care of and treated with kindness. Service like this isn’t commonly found! We will definitely be back, and recommending to our friends!
A bunch of us were staying at the Reikart House hotel and came here one evening for drinks. While sitting at the bar we decided to try a few bites as well… their beef on weck is huge and looks so very amazing! The meat on it was tender and flavorful and so was the au jus that came on the side! Loved their housemade horseradish sauce to dip it into as well! And those fries were insanely good! Their drinks/cocktails are decent and they have a huge wine list. Service was decent. The venue is beautiful! Very nicely decorated inside this restaurant! The next two mornings we ate breakfast in the hotels dining area, which we assume is the same at this place? Either way, their breakfast menu is awesome! Loaded with many great options, whether you seek healthy or fattening and fun, they have it! Their breakfast wrap was so delicious! Their parfait was amazing too! Service for breakfast was also very nice! Highly suggest stopping in for breakfast and for dinner – it’s all good!
This place is phenomenal. I went multiple times during my stay at the Reikart House. Mrs. Michelle, Jenna, Chelsea, and Kaylin were so sweet. They are the epitome of customer service. They were kind and knowledgeable of the restaurant. The food was so delicious. My omelet was probably the best I have ever had. The cinnamon roll is the most delectable roll I have ever had. My favorite dinner items are the scallops and risotto, salmon, and Lamb chops. I will definitely be back. The Service and food is second to none.
Enjoyed a wonderful brunch at Jazzboline during their Sunday “Jazz Brunch” service. We were so impressed at the quality of the food and level of service. We also really appreciated that the volume of the music was appropriate for the space - we could enjoy it without having to shout over it to be heard by our companions. Favorite items from the meal were the fresh croissants, cinnamon bun, and the shrimp cocktail appetizer. The croissant was hot, buttery, and flaky. The cinnamon bun was a meal unto itself - so sweet and fluffy with delicious fruit and glaze accompaniments. The shrimp cocktail was honestly the best I have ever had in Buffalo: the cocktail sauce was fresh and spicy, and packed with flavor. The shrimp were enormous, ice cold, and cooked flawlessly. We also sampled the eggs benedict, applewood sausage, and the burrata & heirloom tomato appetizer. All were flavorful and prepared so well. Service was top notch. Our server was friendly and attentive, without being overbearing. We lingered for quite awhile with drinks and coffee and did not at all feel pressured to move on so they could turn a table. A lovely weekend brunch spot and the live music was an extra bonus. Highly recommend!
My then boyfriend surprised me for our Valentine's Day 2023 with going to Jazzboline! It was a great experience. Loved the food and had a great time. It was nice seeing the kitchen as your food was being made. The duck wings were amazing, creme brulee dessert, and drinks, too--highly recommended! Entrees were also delicious. We will definitely be going back!!
Jazzboline is one of the most beautifully designed restaurants in all of Buffalo! I have dined here on many occasions. Perfect for date nights, business dinners, or meeting up with friends! They have a massive bar offering finely crafted cocktails. The food is always on point as well. Our most recent visit, we ordered the seared sea scallops and ricotta gnocchi entree with truffles. Both were excellent choices. There are lots of options to choose from! Their menu is accessible by iPad, which allows you to get a great visual of what you are ordering. The staff is very welcoming. Everyone from the hostess to management made sure we had everything we needed. A wonderful evening all around!
Amazing food. Drinks were divine! Live music was such a treat!
Food was good besides my blueberry risotto. It was served with swordfish which has an amazing sauce but the risotto was not good. Had a horrible aftertaste. I’m glad I ordered a side a fries because I could not eat the risotto. We come often and but was disappointed with the side choice. Sometimes trying something outside the box is not a good thing
The Jazzboline restaurant provides a chic and modern dining atmosphere, combining contemporary American dishes with a hint of local flair. We dined at the Jazzboline restaurant on May 11th. We made reservations ahead of time, and we were glad we did because the restaurant was very busy. The dining area was filled with groups of tables and couples, and the bar buzzed with energy. A lovely tall hostess led us to our table and seated us. A server brought us water and informed us that our actual server would be with us momentarily. Fifteen minutes later, our server had not yet arrived, but the previous server brought over the cocktails we had ordered and mentioned they were on the house—a nice touch. Jazzboline makes excellent Old Fashioneds and Espresso martinis, and they don’t skimp on the alcohol either. Despite the restaurant being very busy, we appreciated that it was a team effort to ensure we didn’t feel neglected. Some restaurants don’t realize that it can be a tag team effort on some shifts to serve all clients so that they don’t feel forgotten. Jazzboline got it right, so kudos to them. When our server finally arrived, she was attentive. I ordered the ravioli with a lobster tail, which was good. My girlfriend had the New York striploin steak with Brussels sprouts and fingerling potatoes. The star of the meal was absolutely the steak—a succulent medium-rare cut done to perfection. Overall, it was a very good experience. Unbeknownst to me I left my credit card behind after paying, and they called and left a message. The manager even ran over to the Reikart House hotel, where we were staying, the next day to return it. Thank you!
A beautiful place to come and check out. The interior design is eye appealing and very sophisticated. And very welcoming so you don't feel out of place. The bar area is huge, with two big flat screen tv's, surrounded by great quality liquor and decorations. The menu are on tablets and even if your not tech savvy the bartender, waitress/waiter are very helpful in showing you how to navigate through the menu. You are able to see the food/drinks and get a detailed description of what you are about to order. Today my wife and I came for lunch. We were seated at the bar and the high bar seats were very comfortable. I ordered a negroni cocktail and it was made perfectly. Today they were trying out different cocktails, and we were fortunate enough to try their bourbon sour (on the house). This was a refreshing drink especially for the summertime. It was a bit to sour for me, but my wife loved it. For food we ordered the charcuterie board, lamb ribs, pork sliders, and brussel sprouts. Charcuterie board- 3 different types of cheese/ 3 meats. absolutely delicious serves 2 easily Lamb ribs(4-5 bones)- nice bbq flavor, totally different flavor than pork ribs. A little fatty but still good. Pork sliders (3)- nice bbq flavor and the coleslaw gave it a nice crunch. Brussel sprouts- was ok could've been cook abit longer, I like mine softer. I encourage everyone to give this place a try. I will try their dinners one-day. But for now I plan on another lunch date.
Great service and great good! The host was super nice and seated us quickly! The waitress was equally kind and great! Only down side was it took a bit long to get the menu for sweets and the check at the end. But overall great experience and we'll definitely back when we are in the area.
We went to there on Sunday branch. It was crowded when I arrived there at 1PM and we didn't have reservations so we had to eat at the bar counter. Dirty glasses were lined up in front of us since the dish washer was underneath. We ordered mimoza rita, bloody mary and cheeseburgers. All of them were delicious. The burger was very flavorful. I think the price was pretty reasonable. I don't think total service was great though. We weren't given napkins or utensils and were given the wrong receipt.
Four of us went for brunch on a Sunday. We all ordered different meals, and they were plentiful. The food was fresh and delicious. There were musicians playing live jazz music. They sounded great. I'm big on customer service, and our server was so dry and stand off'ish. I needed condiments for my meal, and once the food came, our server didn't come back for a while to check on us or anything. Didn't ask if we wanted drink refills or anything. She came back when we were almost finished with our meal. The food was great, the atmosphere was great, and the service was blah. I would go back for brunch again, but hopefully, I'll have better service.
Gerald was our server and he was amazing!!! He was extremely patient while I waited for my friends. He was extremely knowledgeable of the menu. The way he described the specials of the day made us salivate at the thought. He was a great sever overall. I had the Lobster and Zucchini Frittata appetizer. It needed more seasoning and the cream sauce it was paired with didn’t really go with it. The Kippered Salmon Flatbread was good. I was surprised by it being a cold pizza. It was salty from being kippered but not too much. My friend had the Joyce Farms Roasted Chicken Breast. The chicken and diced veggies were good, but the sweet potato hash tasted like baby food.
I do want to start off by saying that I had a great experience with the bar and the management! I'm not writing this review after just one experience, we have been several times now. The vibes for happy hour and late night are killer. It might happen to be my favorite spot in the area or within several miles for sure. You gotta love that it is right off the highway too, making it extremely accessible for anyone passing by. The drinks were on point and the prices were extremely reasonable. I love the bar and love the atmosphere 💯 The food was decent and nothing came out bad. We never sent any of the food back and pretty much ate most of what we have ordered. I want to be honest and say that nothing we ate blew our socks off. The food does take a while to come out, so the anticipation definitely builds while you wait .... I would just say that I feel this is the one area maybe they could do a little better. Again, the food was consistently good but nothing was great. Otherwise, I think they absolutely crush the competition in the area and will be coming back here again and again! Gotta give them 4.6 stars for an overall rating. Stop in and try if you're passing by
Went here for my birthday with 11 friends. Overall, enjoyable. Do NOT get the charcuterie. Absolute waste of money. $32 for a SINGLE slice of prosciutto. I kid you not. It advertised served with artisinal breads, which is actually 1 slice of French bread cut in half. The 2" slices of cheese were alright, but it was all hard cheese. How can you claim a charcuterie board with 0 soft cheese. It was shameful. That being said the brussel sprouts were delicious and the espresso martini was fantastic. My scallops were delicious, but the risotto they came with was unbelievably undercooked. The service was good, and the manager did come apologize for the poorly cooked risotto.
I've been here multiple times and have always had a good experience but today was not that. I haven't been there in over a year so I don't know if something has changed but it was just a huge letdown. Me and my friend ordered the cinnamon roll to split because the last time we got it, it was huge and probably could've fed 4 people. When it arrived to our table we both laughed because of how small it now is and definitely not up to par with the older version. It tasted hard and not sweet and warm like we both remember. We then waited 45 minutes for our food and ended up getting our food compd because of some mix up in the kitchen. I get that things happen and we definitely appreciated the compd food but when we finally did get our food it was just not great. The Benedicts both had burned English muffins and both salads were soggy as if they had been just sitting in the dressing for a long time. The crispy potatoes that were advertised were super mushy and had way too much pepper on them. Unfortunately we probably will not return since there are so many good brunch places to choose from.
Have been here 3 times. First time sat at the bar and did apps and bourbon. Was great. Bourbon selection is really good and not overly priced. Second time was brunch, service was a little off but they were busy. Food was really good though. Third time was birthday dinner. Not great. Again, very busy so somewhat understandable that service was very very slow. Wine glasses were dirty. Girlfriends ravioli dish came with no sauce at all just dry (was supposed to have sauce) so had to wait while they remade it so my meal was barely warm and so-so when hers came back out. They were still nice and the first two experiences were great so would be willing to go back and try again. Maybe just a one off.
Subpar food and service. Had the mahi from on the Valentine’s Day set menu and it was overcooked, dry, and very bland. There was a live band, which was nice.
I went to have dinner with my friends and decided to have the filet mignon. I wish I had read these reviews before because surprisingly for such an expensive dish, it had such little flavor! It simply did not taste good even after I requested for additional seasoning. My meat was also raw in the middle when I had ordered well done. My friend had the salmon dinner and mac and cheese and also experienced the same problem- the food looked great but was very bland. I enjoyed the ambiance and the wonderful staff but if the food at a restaurant doesn't taste good, why eat there?
The servers were very nice. We had to sit at the bar to wait for the rest of our party. The barmaid was standoffish, not inviting, Not creative, and above all the drinks were borderline. We the same drinks days prior for a birthday that were delicious. The food was definitely nothing to write home about. We ordered just beyond medium well wagyu steak which they did but, it had no flavor or seasoning, and the top of it was literally burnt. The butter burger was burnt, super dry, what absolutely no flavor. I could’ve went to click click moo moo to get a smash burger for all the money we paid! No need to go back.
I'm not sure if it was because i wasn't dressed up or because they were busy but they forgot my drink and I had to ask for it. I ordered the steak which was beautifully seasoned by the way but came out way undercooked for my liking. I ordered the creme brulee for dessert which was amazing nonetheless but took 30 minutes to come out. This place has a clean , welcoming atmosphere and amazing food. They also have an extensive beer, wine and spirits menu that you can look up on their tablet menu which I liked. This restaurant is definitely on the higher end so I wouldn't recommend if you're in a budget. Overall decent experience and I would try again to update my review.
Used to really enjoy the food and the variety in the menu! Was always our go-to brunch spot, however the newer menus over the last year or so haven’t wowed us. The transition to more fried foods etc just feels redundant in Buffalo. Staff is usually friendly and attentive, we’ve attended on our own and for funeral breakfasts and always been treated well.
Let me preface this by saying I dont write reviews unless its really bad or really good...My wife and I had been here once before earlier this year. Just before summer time. That experience was so much better than the one we had last night. I had been talking this place up so much after the first time, easily one of the best meals we've ever had. But last night I was VERY disappointed. It's my understanding that there was a change of chef and it made a huge difference. The atmosphere was good almost seemed better than the first time, the drinks were good , the apps were good. But my main course was wildly over cooked. My father and I both ordered the 10oz filet. Mine was ordered medium rare and he ordered medium. Now when I'm paying that type of money for a plate at the very least I expect my steak to be cooked the way I ask for. Both steaks came out over cooked, mine was medium well and my father's came out well done. The broccoli was UNDER cooked and the subpar mashed potatoes were very underwhelming. My brothers gf ordered the chicken and the "black mint" sauce that came with it was very odd and really didn't seem to pair with the chicken at all. Another observation I made was that with the last cook, everything made sense. The dishes were very cohesive and well prepared. With this new chef there was quite a few dishes that were served with French fries !? A 58 dollar "dry aged" steak , served with French fries? Just doesn't make sense in a place that is going for a "fine dining" experience at fine dining prices. After hyping this place up so much after our first experience I was absolutely embarrassed for suggesting we go there last night.
The restaurant looks nice (has an aesthetically pleasing interior, and things are very clean including the dining area and bathrooms). The service was terrible both times that I've been there. This most recent time, my table had to repeatedly ask to have the server take our drink orders, and they took an especially long time to come out. Two drink orders were wrong (after waiting over 30 minutes for them to make it to the table). It took two hours to have our tables' waters refreshed. The appetizers were room-temperature to cold. The entrees were also not hot, with items on the plate ranging from barely warm to room temperature. Aside from this, the food was okay (not great). Probably the last time we'll come out.
Stopped in for lunch with a colleague. I had the Rueben sandwich and my friend had one of the flatbreads. The slaw that came with the sandwich was not that good though and the fries were cold! Considering we were one of 4 tables, it was pretty disappointing that the fries were cold! Seriously! The Rueben sandwich was great though. No complaints on that part. The home made sauce was fantastic and the cheese was perfect! Service was slow - again there was hardly anyone there. I actually think they were more employees than they were customers yet it still took 15 minutes to get the check and my water glass went empty. Won’t be back.
I would not come back. First of all, our waitress wasn’t rude, but unfriendly. We waited an hour+ for our meal and it was brunch. My cousin ordered plain pasta and had to wait 10 minutes longer than the rest of us. PLAIN PASTA SHOULD NOT TAKE 70 MINUTES. We brought my grandmother for our birthday and she ordered tea and had to wait a while to just get sugar and cream for it. The waffle she ordered was missing the ice cream. Only reason I give two stars is because my croissant sandwich was tasty. My hash potatoes were cold probably cause they sat out for a while. On top of it the food was super over priced. I could go to Tim Hortons and order the same portion sandwich for 5 dollars instead of 21. Took us almost 2 hours to get out of the restaurant. Very disappointed, don’t go here for brunch and definitely don’t go here for the atmosphere or because it’s ritzy, nothing special about the restaurant.
Where to begin. The place is beautiful and the customer service was good. However, the food is overpriced and overrated. I came here for my birthday as I wanted to enjoy some fine dining (never been here before). Everything was great until my food arrived. Appetizer was OK, but needed a little bit of salt. Dinner was absolutely not to par. The presentation looked like my 6yr old daughter could’ve done it. My steak was burned. I did ask for medium well, but it still was burnt. Set my steak back got a new one and that steak was much better but the wine reduction was burnt. Manager came over and apologized for the steak. My plate was extremely hot that I’ve burnt my pointer finger, the vegetables had no seasoning and the mashed potatoes literally had no flavor at all. I was really disappointed. My dessert which was a free cake for my birthday. The cake was good (mind you the cake was from another company, wasn’t made in house). Out of everything, I enjoyed the dessert the most. Unfortunately I will not be returning to this restaurant…definitely overrated and overpriced for something I could’ve made at home, my experience, for my birthday was a sad one.
We came here for New Years last year and had a great time, so we decided to do the same again this year. Unfortunately, this experience didn’t live up to last year’s. None of the food was “bad,” but it also wasn’t as impressive as last year; the ingredients were clearly high quality and professionally prepared, but were missing flavor making them bland overall. Further, staff went out of their way last year to make the night more than just a dinner but an experience; there was a champagne toast, specially decorated desserts, etc. While staff tonight were very attentive and kind, it felt like any other dinner service rather than a holiday, which was disappointing after last year’s experience. Overall, for the price, would not come back again; the experience was not high enough quality to justify it.
Had a really terrible experience. Mostly a food issue. Seated 3 people. Ordered 2 specials and a NY strip medium rare, charcuterie board, and fried lions mane mushrooms. The strip was ordered medium rare. It came out cold and blue with barely a sear on it. Waitress and manager offered to fix it, which resulted in scraping off the mushrooms and nuking it in a microwave, steak came back super hot on the outside and still blue and cold on the inside. The charcuterie was a pretty poor showing as it was two types of blue cheese and a small wedge of parmesan, they had what I can only describe as Oscar Meyer olive loaf slices, and quick pickles that tasted soggy and old. The special was a seafood risotto, the lobster tail of both plates was rubber and inedible, the risotto rice was not cooked through and was hard in the middle, like crack your teeth hard. We picked through our food, my 2 guests didn't eat their specials, maybe picked a shrimp or two out, when getting the check I mentioned the specials not being good, and the waitress apologized, and promptly handed my a check for $300. I didn't argue or ask for a refund or to return the food. I paid for our meal and we left. Overall it was pretty terrible for $100/plate . I'll most likely look for different fine dining choices in the future when I'm in the buffalo area.
Lay off the salt shaker. Had scallops and they were salt licks. Had a grilled watermelon salad that wasn’t even grilled or include the basalmic reduction. Horrible meal.
This establishment was absolutely, positively terrible. I came here with my mother looking for a nice meal to finish off a so far, amazing night. The online menu looked appealing; however, we were beyond disappointed with pretty much every aspect of this "fine" dining establishment. I ordered a New York Strip Steak, cooked medium, and the steak I received was charred beyond recognition. I mean, I think it was a steak? My mother ordered a harvest salad, and at the end of the meal stated, "I would have been better off eating a whole bag of Raisin Bran cereal." Maybe this "restaurant" should reconsider what they advertise on their menu? At the end of our meal, we both agreed that the fancy electronic menus and the sparkling water were the high points of our experience. I would highly NOT recommend this so called "fine" dining establishment to anyone except for those looking to waste an absorbent amount of money for some crappy food that I wouldn't even subject my dog to eating.
Very slow service and expensive. Hung up on me twice with no apologies when calling back. Went in instead just to get one coffee to go. Cup is the size of my hand and expensive. They said they're making a fresh pot - great, thanks. Coffee finally came but no milk or sugar. He said he'll grab it. After waiting for him to make 5 other drinks first on the other side of the bar before giving me the milk that was 5' from me, the coffee was room temperature. I'm positive it wasn't even hot in the first place though. Asked for a new cup. Said cup is currently leaking all over me in the car right now. Finished the cup to find tons of grounds on the bottom. He said he was brewing a new pot so this is not French press coffee or something where some grounds are expected and why would a new pot have grounds in it anyway? Won't be back for sure.
Fine dining feel and an enticing menu that doesn’t actually taste good. The restaurant (and the food) is well decorated and the servers are excellent but unfortunately the food quality doesn’t match the decor. The gin and tonic cocktail was overly sweet with flavors that didn’t meld well, the lobster and zucchini fritters had a sweet pickle flavor to the sauce, the peach and procuitto flatbread had a lot of bread with little flavor, the sautéed haricot vert was actually a mix of haricot vert and wax beans, and the scallops were wildly undercooked and had a strong fishy taste that made them inedible. The risotto was tasty as was the wedge salad with the wonderful addition of pickled onion, although why the chef chose to add a (buttercream?) frosting to the key lime pie, I couldn’t say.
