Opinions de La Piazza Social Club Amsterdam
Nice cosy restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam! Great pizza, mamma mia! The personal looked tired but still prompt service…
Was really good pizza made fresh in the window, its small and quirky but cool and reasonable price for Amsterdam centre would recommend
Popped in to the restaurant for lunch, fast service with friendly staff. Food was of really high quality and you can see your food being freshly prepared as you sit at the table. Well priced with it being in the centre of Amsterdam.
Had a great experience tonight! The pizza was delicious, the salad was fresh, and the fries were perfectly done. Everything tasted amazing. Special thanks to Aitana for the friendly and attentive service — she made the whole experience even better. Definitely one of those meals that brought back great memories from Amsterdam.
Excellent food with a calming and cozy atmosphere. The service was impeccable, especially from the blond waiter. He was really educated and he was constantly checking if everything was fine with us. Good that I live here because this is my new favorite place for pizza ;)
Off the cuff stop because we were looking for somewhere to eat around the Palace area. Beautiful little place where you can watch he pizzas being hand made in the window using fresh dough. This was excellent. The service was quick and the food was even better. Absolutely stunning food (pizza and pasta). Prices were spot on and what you would expect to pay, even with 2 glasses of wine and a large beer Definitely would recommend
The best Italian food I’ve had in a while! It’s so warm and we stumbled upon the place while walking 15min before they closed. The Mozzarella sticks were very crunchy and flavourful and the cheese is very yummy! We went for the pasta al forno and it did not disappoint it was so fresh and the tomato sauce is heavenly. We went the first day and we made sure to go back again on the last day of our trip.
We were looking for an Italian and happened upon this little place. With no booking we changed our arm and were welcomed through the door. The menu was terrific and my wife and I decided to share a flatbread as a starter (which in the pic I've taken a bite from before I took it). Glad we split it as it was massive. Then for my main I had arrabiata, and it was the spiciest I have had from an Italian, absolutely delighted. My wife had the mushroom tortellini and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were lovely, always smiling and happy to take our photo which we appreciated. Really pleased with our choice on our first night in Amsterdam, highly recommend it.
I was a bit unsure about having Italian food for my last meal in Amsterdam, but I was drawn in by the lively atmosphere and the friendly staff, so I decided to give it a try. The restaurant was bustling, with tables packed tightly together, which clearly showed how popular it was. The food was delicious, and the staff were consistently cheerful and kind throughout the meal.
Absolutely stunning. Highly recommend. Fast-paced and great prices for the location. Food was super fresh, cooked to order and really really tasty - just what the doctor ordered. The service was next to none 10/10, kind, funny, engaged, all very good at their jobs. Thank you for our little gift ☂️
Amazing stuff and good service! I really enjoyed it. Located in the central of Amsterdam. The only thing I got to say is that the food was a little bit oversized
I had an amazing experience at Pizzeria La Piazza! The pizza was absolutely delicious — I ordered the Salame Picante, which was halal, and it was full of flavor with the perfect balance of spice. The service was excellent as well — very friendly and attentive staff who made me feel welcome. Definitely one of the best pizza places I’ve tried, and I’ll be coming back for sure!
The restaurant experience was generally good. The pizza was delicious and well-prepared, but the pasta was average and could use more flavor. The service was excellent, with friendly staff that made the visit enjoyable. A small note: the stairs to the second floor might be challenging for some, so adding an elevator or improving them would be great. Overall, the restaurant is worth a visit, and I recommend trying it
Well the service and the people working here are super amazing and friendly. Atmosphere is Very good just too cramped. Hmm food, well carbonara is no made with cream and pancetta but with pig cheeks. As for the sauce eggs and pecorino is are normally used. The pasta had not an ounce of pepper on it. The cotoletta Milanese is supposed to be not thick but thin all over so all sides are properly cooked. This was not uniform and therefore some parts were super mega crunchy and other were tough to eat. Honestly I invite the management to revisit their menu or rather thier chefs to properly execute simple Italian food. But service was on point and all stuff really amazing and friendly.
We came to this place because we were hungry and it was convenient from where we’re staying. Unfortunately, we were seated on the top floor, which felt outdated and not very clean. I actually had to wipe the table myself as it felt dirty. We ordered pizza, but it was quite ordinary and nothing special. The only thing I enjoyed was the ginger ale. Overall, it wasn’t a great experience and I wouldn’t rush back.
service was great. staff was friendly and attentive. pizza was good. lasaga and gnocchi is good . the other pastas were not seasoned at all. i dont know if this is normal but whereever i eat italian, i expect the chef to know what salt is. otherwise, it was a good quick dinner we had.
If you’re looking for a peaceful Italian dinner, this is absolutely the wrong place , unless your idea of “ambience” is shouting over nightclub-level noise. It felt more like I’d accidentally walked into a bar than a restaurant. The tables were so close together we might as well have all introduced ourselves and shared the food. Zero privacy. Amazing design choice. Guess what? Being charged for tap water. Joke! First time in my life I’ve seen a restaurant charge for something that literally comes out of a faucet. After we finished eating, we then enjoyed a bonus 30minutes wait just to get the bill. Great way to end the experience. Honestly, this place is seriously overrated. The food wasn’t even average , I’ve had better Italian meals pretty much everywhere else.
A classic tourist trap I've ordered a pizza with mushrooms and black olives and received exactly 6 black olives on my pizza. They weren't even evenly distributed. My partner had a salami pizza with rucola that was too oily for my liking. The pizzas came uncut and it was a bit difficult to cut it. The place was extremely packed with people and screaming children and the tables were so close together I was half a meter away from another person. When I got up to go wash my hands in the restroom, my partner and the people sitting 0.5 meter away from us had to move the table for me so that I could pass through. I then found out the sink in the female bathroom was broken and I had to use the one in the male bathroom, which was very dirty. I've also ordered tea and I got it, but instead of receiving a spoon like a normal person, I got a single piece of straw that is given to animals?? And of course, it fell on the ground within 5 minutes because it was so light. The restaurant has a perfect location on the main square and I think they purposefully choose to be a tourist trap - they give you high prices but the quality of food you get is just bad. I advise you to walk about 500 metres away from the main square and I'm sure you'll find much better food for a lower price. For 2 pizzas, 1 tea and 1 beer we paid 50 euros.
I ordered Insalata Mista, asked them not to put arugula, as I have an allergy to it. I started eating, my tongue started to sting. I saw arugula leaves! We called the manager, but instead of apologizing, the girl started to prove that these were ordinary lettuce leaves! Be prepared that for your money you can simply be killed here!!!
Tasteless italian food, find somewhere else. I can’t say it’s bad food but it’s just tasteless and basic italian food but no flavors, poor quality ingredients. We had bruschetta which was literally a piece of cooked pizza dough, with some tasteless diced tomatoes, few basil leaves and barely any olive oil. Then mozza sticks: high processed food, doesn’t taste like made by the restaurant. We had also penne alla arrabbiata : same thing, not much taste, diluted sauce. Next we had carbonara, we don’t even finish the plate and we love carbonara, so disappointing. Lastly, we ordered insalata caprese : a block of cheese (no milk coming out when you press…) which I guess was highly processed mozza, tomatoes without taste… Find somewhere else, just don’t understand how they have 4,3. Tasteless food for over 80 euros.
