⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My family and I had never experienced Taiwanese food before, and Din Tai Fung has officially set the bar, if we could give this restaurant 10 stars, we would. From the moment we arrived, the experience was made exceptional by the amazing staff, Skylr and Nicole. Knowing it was our first visit, they took the time to carefully explain their favourite dishes, how best to combine the sauces, and even how to properly enjoy each meal, especially their famous Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings), which are truly the star of the show. Without their guidance, we would have had no idea what to order or how best to enjoy it. We were very fortunate to get in quickly without a reservation, otherwise, the wait would have been around four hours. Make sure you book ahead and be prepared to order at least 2–3 dishes per person to share and sample a range of dishes. The cucumber salad, which we noticed was popular with regular customers, it looked incredible and came highly recommended by the staff. To finish, we ordered the Chocolate & Mochi Xiao Long Bao, made even more special with a side of sea salt cream, an absolutely unforgettable dessert. A huge thank you to Din Tai Fung, and an extra special thank you to Skylr and Nicole. You both added another 10 stars to an already outstanding dining experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Excellent food, known for the soup dumplings which are always fantastic. However, the shrimp and pork pot stickers were my favorite! I've never had them before, and I would get these every single time. We ordered the green beans, pork soup dumplings, spicy cucumbers, potstickers and then for dessert, the chocolate dumplings, which are an absolute must try if you've never had them!! Fantastic Servers too! We had a reservation which we made a month in advsmce, and this is my advice otherwise the wait will be crazy! We probably waited about ten minutes past our reservation time for the table, So not bad at all considering how absolutely packed this place was. Love it and will be back!

Din Tai Fung consistently lives up to its reputation for quality, precision, and comfort food done right. From the moment you’re seated, the service feels attentive yet efficient, reflecting the brand’s strong standards. The highlight, of course, is the **xiao long bao**—delicate skin, perfectly pleated, and filled with flavorful broth and tender meat. Each basket is remarkably consistent, which is impressive given how technical the dish is. Other dishes like the **shrimp fried rice**, **steamed dumplings**, and **braised beef noodle soup** are equally satisfying, offering clean flavors without being overly heavy. Ingredients taste fresh, portions are reasonable, and the menu strikes a good balance between classic staples and lighter options. While prices are on the higher side for casual Chinese dining, the quality, hygiene, and consistency make it worth it. Overall, Din Tai Fung is a reliable choice whether you’re dining with family, entertaining guests, or simply craving well-executed Taiwanese cuisine. It may not be experimental, but it delivers excellence in what it does best—every time.

Highly recommend everyone to come here at least once! I’ve been to SCP location many times, but it’s in a mall. This standalone restaurant is beautiful. Service is one of the best I’ve had as well. Had reservations at 6pm on a Tuesday during the holidays. I overheard them saying the wait is 3 hours for walk-ins. I checked in at 5:45pm and was seated by 5:50pm! Staff were friendly and attentive. And the quality of food/drinks was just as expected.

I am very late for this review since I enjoyed this location in Nov of last year. However, I mainly wanted to rate the service and wanted to make sure they received it even being late to post. For starters though, the food was delicious! Unfortunately I don’t remember the names of everything I got however I did try one of the soup dumplings and a noodle. I got one of the milk teas as well as a cocktail (believe the Lychee). All of these were something I would order again. Well made, temperature spot on & overall enjoyable. Another thing to make note of was being seated within ten mins. I will include I was a table of one, sat at the bar and came a little after they opened though I will say the place was full. However, what I find to be most of note. The staff at the bar Anthony, Skylr, Mari & Isaac. As well as Ricky on the other side of the bar. They were wonderful. The manager Mike was onlooking from the side as well. They were polite, composed and helped one another. They didn’t have to ask to be helped, they just worked together automatically very in sink with each other. They didn’t bombard me while still checking on me regularly. They talked with each other (about work things not just absently) without ignoring customers and giving great service. When my chocolate Bao (which I was recommended & would highly recommend) was taking awhile to arrive they checked on me (without my initiation), let me know they would figure out what was going on and kept me updated without overwhelming the situation but letting me know I wasn’t being ignored either. Though I don’t think work ethic is based on age I think finding younger staff this capable who all seemed to enjoy work and working together while creating an atmosphere inviting, enjoyable & tasty was impressive. I think this is in part to management and training while also them individually. Overall, I would love to come here again when I’m in the area and hope these staff members are the ones who are assigned to my table.

*Cucumber salad* — black‑vinegar snap, pepper crunch that _lasts_. *Spinach wontons* — paper‑thin pleats, ginger‑scallion dip doing overtime. *Veggie noodles* — wok‑kissed & sesame‑loud, bok choy still greener than my houseplants. *Dessert*: *chocolate steamed bun* 🥮 — break the top, find lava cake’s chill cousin.

I had heard about this place, and I finally got to try it! I know you must have a reservation for this place and luckily we just happen to look it up and they had a reservation available. The hosts were very nice and friendly. We didn’t have to wait too long before we got seated. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. Everything we ordered was delicious! The ribs, the steak… everything is just so full of flavor. It’s definitely a place to go too and have some delicious food. It’s a bit pricey but definitely worth it! Make sure you leave room for dessert 😋

Sometimes you get tired of food from the Disney and California Aventures. We have tried getting reservations at this location. This time we were lucky. The atmosphere was amazing once you walk in. The service was like a well oiled machine. The food was hand made and delicious. If I had one thing to say one of the dishes was just not as good as the others. That doesn’t mean it was bad just not my fave. We love this place and we will be back. A big shout out to the amazing staff.

This specific location of Din Tai Fung in Downton Disneyland is a must. The service is top notch and I have always been attended in a fast and friendly manner. The food is phenomenal and consistent for the amount of times I have visited. Everything is consistent from the cocktails to the dessert. I would highly recommend after a long day of fun at Disneyland.

I really thought that Din Tai Fung was overrated but I am now a huge fan! The staff is super friendly, at both locations that I went to during this trip. This one in particular was fantastic because they were able to get us in within 10 minutes even without a reservation. We got lucky with a cancellation right before we got there! The drinks are great and the food is absolutely delicious. For appetizers, we got the cucumber salad which was crunchy and refreshing. Next up, we got the Kurobuta Pork Xiao Long Bao. We had previously gotten the Crab & Kurobuta Pork Xiao Long Bao at another location. Both were made perfectly bite size and delicious. However, I definitely preferred just the Kurobuta Pork Xiao Long Bao. The Sticky Rice Shao Mai with Kurobuta Pork & Mushroom and the Shrimp & Kurobuta Pork Spicy Wontons are two of my favorite dishes. The sticky rice shao mai is small but dense. Filled to the brim and has a great taste. The spicy wontons were a favorite of the whole table. Not too spicy but absolutely incredible. For our greens this time, we tried the string beans with garlic. It had a nice crunch without being too hard.  We also tried the Shanghai Rice Cakes with Chicken this time and that was actually really good. I love rice cakes so I was happy to see that they cooked it well and the flavor was tasty. Last but not least, you cannot visit Din Tai Fung without ordering the Chocolate & Mochi Xiao Long Bao. It might seem odd or overrated but it is so worth trying. The "dumpling skin" is a very think mochi and the filling is a warm and gooey chocolate. It can be served with a side of sea salt cream. You have to get that because the combination is unreal. Speaking of the sea salt cream though, you can get an iced black or green tea with a whipped sea salt cream on top. So simple but so good. I have regrets about not taking a drink to go. I highly recommend stopping by any of their locations if you have a chance. Absolutely worth the wait if there is one. Now for my standard comments. The location is clean and well kept. Comfortable indoor seating. Bathrooms are very clean.

I had a great time at Din Tai Fung! The food was delicious and fresh. Shannon took care of my family and I and the other servers too. I walked in on a Friday around brunch time and only waited 15 minutes without any reservation prior, walking around downtown Disney helps with the wait. The dumplings were beautiful and savory and recommend ordering the chicken XLB. Quite a wonderful experience with Taiwanese cuisine.

Enjoyed an amazing family dinner. All dishes were served hot, had great flavor and the kids ate everything that came out. Absolutely delicious! This is a definite must in Downtown Disney. The spicy chicken won tons were to die for and sweet and sour short ribs were my absolute favorite- even our pickiest kid ate them , we all loved them ♥️

The food was great! I got a pork boa, chicken boa, lychee mojitos, chicken wonton, cucumber salad, and a desert. Every thing tasted really good. The mojito was way better than I expected and I barely tasted the alcohol but I felt it. After two days in Disneyland and a couple meals in LA this meal was light but filling. Would recommend.

This restaurant is so delicious. Love lots of little bites. Everything was excellent- bao, soup dumplings, shrimp fried rice, gyoza garlic green beans, etc! Started with cucumber salad -so great to prepare the palate. Highly recommended!

I came here with a group of friends and everything we got was amazing!!! We made reservations a month in advance so we didn't have to wait in line. We got dumplings, green beans, rice, noddles, and much more. The service was great, they kept checking on us if we needed anything and cleared the plates after every entree we ordered. I will come back again.

This is by far my favorite restaurant. Located in downtown Disney. Din Thai Fung is a must try. The menu is incredible. The chicken noodle soup is amazing. The chicken fried rice is amazing. The mochi dessert is amazing. Service is great. This location is always busy. Will be back soon

Make reservations in advance or you will wait in line for at least 1hr. Service was very good. Bryan, Skykr , and Michael at the bar were kind and helpful. We will be back soon and we will be taking friends along this time.

Located in Downtown Disney, it was easy to get to. We had a reservation and was seated right away. The waiters were super friendly. Food was delicious and I can't wait to go again.

While we were visiting Disneyland for a few days, this restaurant was highly recommended to my family. It definitely didn't disappoint us. The food quality and flavor were very delicious and spot on. The prices per dish were pretty reasonable, considering the price of things nowadays. The restaurant was very clean and their service is on point. I definitely will go back there again.

Definitely worth the hype! Visited during a day trip to Disney. Checked in, went back to the park and they text when the table was ready. Accommodated us with a stroller while baby was sleeping, and our server Lorena was awesome! She gave us the best recommendations. Food was delicious and came out quick. Will definitely be back!

If you're visiting the Disneyland Resort, make space for a night at Din Tai Fung. Food aside, the service and atmosphere you get while dining at this location are enough to keep coming back. The food, though, is on another level. We recommend most of what your waiter is likely to recommend. Still, don't leave without getting these items specifically - chicken dumplings, shrimp & kurobuta pork spicy wontons, noodles with spicy sauce (then get a fried pork chop on the side, and add it to your noodles), and the chocolate & mochi xiao long bao (get a side of sea salt foam to pair with your chocolate bao, and you're in heaven). Stop by. You won't regret it.

So impressed with this place! The food was so much better than I expected and the service was amazing. The cocktails were also very well made. I had the cucumber gimlet and my husband had their pear lychees martini. We are at Disneyland quite often, and will definitely be stopping here more when we’re able to grab a reservation (they get really busy and that is the best way to guarantee a spot.) It is on the pricey side but totally worth it. The plates are meant to be shared so it’s a great way to be able to try a bit of everything. (Not pictured) My husband tried their dumplings and he really enjoyed those. We shared the vegetable noodles, mushroom appetizer, and the black pepper beef tenderloin which was my favorite dish. Highly recommend checking this place out!

This was our family's second time at this location. Food was great except for the kimchi dumplings. You must get the bite size Mochi Xiao Long Bao with the salted whipped cream for dessert. They are AMAZING!!!

Very good food. Our server, Brandon, did a great job helping us understand the menu and pick a wide variety of dishes. They also have some signature cocktails that we loved. The mojito is really interesting and floral. We are glad that we made reservations 30 days before; this place can get BUSY but they also have a walkup line.

This place is great. The hostess was warm and friendly, we sat at the bar since we did not have reservations. The bartenders were very helpful and friendly. It was our first time and they explained everything so well. From the bar you can see the food being made in the background. Everything is sized for 2-3 people if ordering 1-2 things, or for the table if you order more. We ordered the chicken fried rice, black pepper beef tenderloin, and a red bean sticky rice wrap. We also order the iced fresh orange green tea. Everything was delicious. I am going to need to find the red bean sticky rice wrap again. When we come back to Disney, this will be a repeat.

Great place to try! The line was long but we didnt have to wait for a party of two with no reservations beforehand. The staff were amazing! The food was delicious. I will go back and will try the dumplings and the bao again. Loved the bao. I didnt like the bun that much.

After Blue Bayou and the Grand Californian Hotel restaurants, this is my family’s new favorite place to eat in the Disneyland Resort area. There was something for everyone in the family to enjoy. I liked just about everything. We each had a different favorite noodle soup, however I enjoyed them all. The cucumber salad and the xiao long bao were also incredibly good. The dessert is also amazing, the chocolate and mochi xiao long bao with the side of sea salt cream pleased everyone in the family. Their teas are also fantastic. Most recently I tried the black iced tea with sea salt cream and green iced tea with sea salt cream, these are my favorite teas at Din Tai Fung.

This is awesome addition to Downtown Disney. I love the soup dumplings offered here and the location is perfect. There can be a long wait for those walking up so make sure to make reservations well in advance. I think I made mine a month in advance. But the dumplings were delicious and I would love to go back soon.

T

I didn't catch the names of the women who were working as hosts but they were very friendly. Our server was Robert and I think he may have been the best server I've ever had anywhere. He anticipated most of our needs and delivered excellent service. We ordered the kurobura pork soup dumplings, chicken dumplings, chicken fried noodles, beef and pepper noodles, vegetable and kurobura wontons, and shredded pork fried rice. Everything was delicious but I would have to say the wontons were my favorite by far! It was very busy but the staff does a good job of being efficient while friendly. It's well lit inside and every surface looks clean.

Din Tai Fung always hits! Let’s get this out information out of the way: yes it is busy, yes you should book reservations asap. I was so happy that this opened in downtown Disney as I am a big fan of din tai fung. Because it is in a popular area, I highly recommend booking a reservation as soon as possible. I booked our reservations a month in advance and was lucky to snag a spot. Is it worth it? To me, yes! Their XLB cucumber salad, spicy wontons and their chocolate XLB will always have a soft spot in my foodie heart. Are there better dumpling spots? Probably, maybe, but I come to din tai fung bc I know I won’t be disappointed with what I get. I’ve been to their Vegas, San Jose and other SoCal spots. I can say that their food and service are consistently great.

EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE, IS EXCEPTIONAL! We ordered the cucumber salad, pork chop fried rice, chicken noodles, and Xiao Long Bao.

After a really long wait, the food and atmosphere were phenomenal. Cucumber Salad 3.5/5, String Bean Garlic 5/5, Kimchi Dumplings 4.5/5, Chicken Dumplings 4/5, Pork Buns 4/5, TsingTao Beer 5/5.

K

This was a fun dining experience! Everything is very fresh really delicious and the service is excellent. It’s on the pricey side. And if you don’t wanna eat anything there, but you want those chocolate Baos, you can order them to go lol

J

The having to wait in line after making a reservation online was a tad frustrating. Thankfully, it wasn't the twenty minute wait the hostess implied. The food was delicious, and the service once seated, quick. We had the sweet & sour pork baby back ribs which were perfect and something I could make a meal of on its own if it was a bigger portion. The cucumber salad was ok for an appetizer. I'd rather have skipped this dish and ordered the green beans instead; they were definitely better than cucumber our last visit at a different location. The crab and pork Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) were delectable, and there was a lot of crab in them. The pork & shrimp steamed dumplings also had big pieces of shrimp and were amazing. My husband was still hungry, so we ordered fried noodles with chicken, which was savory and flavorful. We saved the absolute best for last, ordering the chocolate & mochi dumplings. These are little morsels of the best melted chocolate you can imagine! I also tried a Sea Salt Cream iced black tea. Soooo good!

We ordered inside the restaurant for take out. Didn't know that was an option because even outside the hostess didn't mention it, just the 3 hour wait for walk-in, I had to go back and ask about take out directly. Inside order staff was very helpful and knowledgeable giving recommendations, discussing spiciness, alternatives etc. We waited only 20 minutes, then ride shared back to our hotel and the food was still very good. Very authentic Chinese food that hit the spot! Follow recommendations and dishes you've likely already read about and you can't go wrong. Nice artificial grass lawn just outside with comfy chairs and place for the kids to run around. A small band was setting up for an evening concert as well. Inside looked very nice but I can't speak to that experience.

Went here for the first time today. This place gets a lot of hype, and it absolutely lives up to it. We sat at the bar and tried a number of offerings recommended by the bartender Kenny, and everything was outstanding, from the short rib app to the bar buns to dessert. Everything was amazing. The hospitality was excellent as well, never felt rushed and always felt looked after. Little things like Kenny changing the last few ounces of my beer into a cold glass were so much appreciated. Can't wait to go back here again.

SO MANY VEGAN OPTIONS, so if you eat plant-based then you MUST add a stop here for dinner during your time at Disneyland of California Adventure. You are close enough to jump on the waitlist while in the park. Highly suggest you do because the wait time can get lengthy. Everything was great, but there's some items I would skip to save room for others l'd like two servings of. My suggestions Cucumbers (maybe two orders) Veggie with garlic (broccoli and string beans are my pic) Rice cake (MUST!) Spicy noodles and wontons (maybe two orders) If you have room Taro Steam Buns are soooo good Happy Munchies, aVeganAndHer

This restaurant came highly recommended! Ordering process was very easy with the checklist style menu. We got an assortment of appetizers, soup dumplings and some main dishes. Everything arrived in a timely manner and was fresh. Everything was delicious! The atmosphere was a little over stimulating at times and felt a little over packed.

My first time in a Din Tai Fung (but not eating it) and it was great! I love the vibes of the restaurant and the tables aren’t crammed in too tightly. I requested plain white rice which isn’t on the menu and they were able to accommodate my request! The wontons were so good but the winner for me was the black pepper beef! Pricey but it’s Disneyland so it’s expected

Listen!!! This is a must experience, Experience. 1000/10 — Seriously! 1. We arrived and got in the lines and the staff that checked us in was super friendly and found our Reservation and prepared us to go in. 2. Upon entering, we were greeted by other satisfied customers smiling faces (and prob stomachs) as they exited. We get into the lobby area/waiting area and we are immediately tended to by a hostess that took us to our seat. Everyone upon entering was smiling and very friendly, so I felt this was going to be good from here. 2. We sat down at our table (this place is huge) and they explained the piece of paper and how we order and mentioned that our server would be with us shortly. 3. Our server came and asked us if we had been there before and asked us if we had any questions prior to ordering — he explained everything and even made our sauce for us (that you use for dipping) Now we had two things going on at our table; The Mr is Vegetarian and I’m not! So of course there are item I eat that he won’t. We browsed the menu and were very surprised that there are plenty of vegan options! 😋 4. Our waiter took our order and was very helpful in our selection as we asked many questions. I love when we eat somewhere and the staff know the menu and can suggest based on preference. It makes the choice feel easier. He also asked in what order we would like for the food to come to the table. I really liked that. 5. So now, to the nitty gritty. The food came out hot and did not disappoint in flavor. We started with the Cucumber Salad 10/10. Next we were brought the Green Beans and Garlic 20/10 - Super Good, can eat those all day. Then they brought out the Spicy Shrimp & Pork Wontons and Spicy Vegan Wontons. We have those a good toss in the sauce and OMG!!!! Did not disappoint in flavor. Next, I had the Pork Chop Fried Rice. I had so much fun sampling between the sauce from the spicy wontons and the house made sauce. This dish is amazing and the fried pork chop was juicy and tender. Then for the piece of heaven that came in the form of the XLB Chocolate Mochi along with the Sea Salt Foam. It was DIVINE!!! That literally makes you roll your eyes up in your head! It’s so good. I skipped a detail in that the waiter, asked us if we were finished with our food prior to the dessert coming out and we wanted to take all our leftovers which he took and they box it up for you. We took care of our bill and we made our way to the exit. So now it was our turn to exit with a gleaming smile on our faces and our stomachs as we greeted others who were coming in to embark on this wonderful experience. I can’t imagine my first experience here being better. From service, to flavor, overall experience — it definitely lives up to the Hype!!!

This is by far the best restaurant in downtown Disney. I was blown away.. the food quality was fantastic and everything was delicious, the service was great, and it’s just a beautiful restaurant! I was so surprised and will absolutely be back. It was just incredible.

First time at a DTF and it was a great experience. Food was delicious, especially the pork chop fried rice and the pork soup xlb. What blew my mind was the chocolate mochi dumplings, they were absolutely exquisite. What really made me visit extra special was our waiter Kenny. He was soo friendly and fun! Kenny was knowledgeable about the menu and had great suggestions. Thanks for making my birthday dinner a little extra special Kenny!

Great option for comfortable dining experience in downtown Disney. Went here two days in a row for the bar sitting as there was less wait time. The crab xiao long bao was flavorful. More than the pork one (too lean in my opinion). The cod fish steam dumpling was also excellent. The pork chop soup noodle and beef soup noodles were lovely, the broth hit the spot. The milk tea and black tea were refreshing with good tea flavors. The mango shaved ice was a bit watery but tasted good. The chocolate mochi xiao long bao was interesting. Special shout out to the serving staff at the bar. Friendly and professional. Making the dining experience very pleasant. The special pins and bag merch were so cute. I got a lot of compliments wearing the bag walking around Disney downtown.

Really friendly. The food was delicious, and the services was amazing. We reserved online prior to arrival is a must we waited to be check in 15 min. We ordered vegan dumplings, Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Fried Noodles, and Pork Soup Dumplings. Will return most definitely to try more on the menu.

We did not get a chance to try the original one in Taiwan when we were they so we were luckily to be able to get a reservation on our last night at Disneyland. The food was great and it reminded us of the food we had in Taiwan. The service was awesome! Will try to go again on our next trip or hopefully go to the one they will be opening in Arizona.

We had a really great first time experience at the downtown Disney location. We had a reservation but we checked in early and they seated us within about five minutes. Service was quick and staff was also very friendly. We tried the vegan spicy wontons, the pork & shrimp spicy wontons, cucumber salad and the beef noodles with Szechuan peppers. I really loved the vegan spicy wontons. This is the only local place I’ve found that has vegan or vegetarian spicy wontons and they were really good; the spicy oil sauce is very flavorful. All the other dishes were good but considering price as well, they weren’t anything special. Would definitely visit again for the vegan wontons and to try more menu items. P.S. the lychee mojito was also pretty good!

Can I add anything more to this icon of delicious Chinese cuisine? We could not get a booking, but lined up for bar service (only 2 of us). A fantastic experience. Luckily for us, the wait was not long. But then, we've just been to Disneyland. Wait was half an hour, and coz we enjoyed the food so much we came back again. This time wait was 5 minutes. Just before 1700. Food was excellent, as you'd expect.

They always do a wonderful job business. At all locations at serving you anytime you have questions. They are great to answer the weight. Can be a bit much, but you can always put your name on a list what or have something else to do in the meantime. And it seems to go by fairly fast. Their service is quick. And we always leave with a good amount of food for the next day's lunch. The atmosphere is usually hip and trendy a lot of hustle and bustle great for groups. Great for dates. It's great all around place to try new foods if you have not

DTF is probably the most organized, well oiled restaurant out there. From check in to check out everything from ordering, delivery, refills, answering questions as well doing their best to accommodate their guests was perfectly timed and executed. This location while inside downtown Disney, is the furthest away from the park entrance. Like all the way at the end, we didn't realize this when we started panicking about missing our reservation. Words of the wise, you're better off entering downtown Disney from the Grand Californian side. To get things started we ordered a round of Bloody Mary's (not on menu), and I'm glad we did. Their mix was so savory and delicious plus it paired well with everything we ordered. Our server Nicole really knows her stuff and walked us through the process of filling out the paper menu to order. Love that. We proceeded to order way too much since we were so hungry at the time. Highlights of our meal: seaweed and bean curd salad, hot and sour soup, sweet and sour ribs, shrimp and pork dumplings, Taiwanese cabbage with garlic, and their satisfying chocolate mochi XLB with a side of sea salt cream. Every dish above just slapped, so much flavor and texture. Glad we ordered but wouldn't order again: sticky rice shao mai (way too heavy), noodles with sesame sauce (kind of gloopy and one note), and the chicken Shanghai rice cakes (great texture but oh so bland, chili oil does the heavy lifting here). I love DTF and am glad I got to try another one of their amazing locations. Looking forward to next time!

“Save the best for last!” “The grand finale” It’s been said many ways, and what they say is true. The best SHOULD be reserved for last. And that’s exactly what happened. I was finishing up my vacation in California, and my family insisted on visiting Din Tai Fung as the grand finale, the last hurrah of sorts of the vacation. Two days of tired legs and hungry children led us to this beautiful Asian oasis in Downtown Disney. We waited and finally got inside the restaurant, and our server (Alex) sat us down. We ordered with our other server (Chloe), and our food arrived. And that’s the moment it all changed. As a food connoisseur myself and cohost of RedMarkerFood, I knew that this was going to be good. It wasn’t good. It was glorious. The little baos you poke with your chopsticks, and then dip into the tangy sauce. The fried rice, the chicken, and last but not least… the chocolate baos. mmm… mMm… MMMM! That’s the sound I hummed when eating every single dish here. The flavors echoed, from my mouth straight to the brain. Like a harpist playing the strings of eternal flavor, leading the solos in an orchestra of other California restaurants. And so it was, perhaps, our fate to leave the restaurant. When it came time to be done, we said goodbye to our servers, and I started to miss this establishment. So we walked by again, and there was the busboy, cleaning our table. He waved. We waved back. I cried. My heart skipped a beat. Out of joy. As we said goodbye to our table one more time, I am reminded of the words of the great Chinese poet Li Po: “Rice wine in a jade cup, I drink beneath the moon’s glow, the taste of heaven in my mouth.” — Li Po Thank you, Din Tai Fung. I will never forget you.

This is the best restaurant in downtown Disney as far as I'm concerned. As with other Din Tai Fung location, it's extremely consistent in its delivery and is renowned for its soup dumplings. Service was friendly and helpful. Our wait was 55 minutes on a Tuesday evening and we were able to reserve while inside Disneyland.

Always spot on in terms of service, seating and food quality. Never feels rushed and everything comes out piping hot. Book a reservation in advance! Or if you are a spur of the moment diner, try to get in line for the bar. I added myself to the waitlist for a table and it took well over 2 hours while instead waited in the bar line for 30 mins. Totally worth it!

I can see why the wait for this place was an hour plus. We joined the wait list and while we did, we walked around looking for another place to eat. Didn’t see anything so when our table was ready we went to eat here. The place was packed! The service was great. The server told us what was best or favorites on the menu. She was very nice and asked if we had allergies to anything. Once we ordered the food came out pretty quick within 10-15 mins. The fried rice was delicious I think is was my favorite part of the meal besides my martini lol! The soup dumplings were really good as well and the chicken and mushroom buns were delicious. Full of flavor. The one thing I can really critique them on is that this is a family style meal. And the amount of fried rice was definitely not for “ family” it was just enough for me and my husband but only enough for us to have a few spoon fulls. And also the food was not very hot. More so warm at best. I would say you have to eat it as soon as it hits the table or it would be cold pretty soon after.

What an amazing experience overall. We made a reservation on a Wednesday night (highly recommended in advance because they get very busy). The check in process was smooth, easy, and very quick. We were at our table within 5 minutes. As soon as we got to our table, we had the MOST friendly server who helped us choose what food to decide on and what pairs best with what. My food ratings: - Chicken Xiao Long Bao: 10/10, the soup in them were outstanding. Perfect temperature and so much flavor (definitely dip in the ginger, soy and vinegar sauce). - Chicken Fried Noodles: 7/10, they were not bad but not amazing. The flavor was not there. Probably would not order for a second time. - Black Pepper Beef Tenderloin: 9/10, this was soooo good. They don’t give you a big portion for the price but honestly it was worth it. The meat, veggies and sauce had so much flavor and cooked perfectly. - Chocolate and Mochi Xiao Long Bao: 1000/10, absolutely perfect, no questions asked, you better order this or there is no reason for you to be there. This dessert was the best we’ve ever had. The buns were warm with chocolate and mochi hot filling and melted in your mouth. Definitely recommend pairing it with the sea salt cream (it gives it a sweet and salty taste). Drinks: - Pear Lychee Martini: sooo good and sweet. this is one of their most ordered drinks and now I know why. worth the purchase!!!! - Lager: first time trying a lager and it was very good!

This particular restaurant has many locations. It’s originated from Taipei, Taiwan. They are known for their juicy dumplings but other dishes are very good as well. I normally go to the location at South Coast Plaza. But since I was at Disneyland that day so went to this location instead. Our server was very nice. Overall food was good, nice atmosphere, nice staffs.

Our DTF experience was overall really great. Our server was attentive and helpful and offered great suggestions. The food we got was excellent. Cucumber salad to start, pork chop fried rice, spice chicken wontons, Kurobuta XLB, and of course the chocolate XLB and buns. I will say we enjoyed them all, however, I'm shocked to say that the pork XLB was actually our least favorite part of the entire experience. 🫣 again, still good but kind of bland in comparison with everything else.

Absolutely loved my experience at Din Tai Fung! The food was incredible—every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and efficient. And the atmosphere was so welcoming and clean, perfect for a relaxing meal. Definitely a 10/10 across the board. Can’t wait to come back!

The reservation process is intense for the DTD location. However, our server Luigi was wonderful! The food was good and we would definitely come again. Don't skip the chocolate bao with a side of sweet cream for dessert!

The perfect restaurant in the happiest place. Everything was absolutely perfect here. Even though there was a long line, we decided to take a seat in the bar and it was pretty quick. Food was delicious, but my favorite was the soup dumplings, precise mix of ingredients and so flavorful. Service was top notch, got great recommendations and even some good jokes from our waiter. He definitely made the evening special. You should try the lychee margarita, sweet and not too strong.

Everything was phenomenal. The staff that checked me in was so friendly and Kenny my server was exceptional. He made time to chat and make me feel welcome but also stayed engaged with how busy the restaurant was. Dumplings and cucumber salad were delicious. Absolutely perfect.

Phenomenal food and service. Everything is top notch. You must try the cucumber salad, it is so simple but delicious. Also, the Soup Dumplings and the Spicey Wontons are a must. Everything is very worth the price, fun dining experience! Lastly, you need to get the chocolate dumplings with the salted cream, it is life changing. I recommend getting reservations a month in advance.

A lady friend invited me here for dinner and i absolutely enjoyed the whole experience. The wait is a bit long but trust me when i say this it is totally worth it. To drink we both had the lychee mojito was yum. The food tasted amazing and fresh not processed what so ever the green beans and cucumber salad had jus the right amount of crunch. The spicy noodles were so yum, i grabbed a decent amount thinking it wouldn’t be as spicy, was pleasantly surprised i had to take a drink before i kept going jajaja The beef tenderloin was cooked to perfection supper juicy most places over cook this dish but not here. For dessert we got the Chocolate & Mochi Xiao Long Bao accompanied by a sea salt crème my lady friend had the idea and it was one of my favorite dessert combinations ever. I will definitely come back in the future. Staff were so friendly as well.

I wish I could live close to a Din Tai Feng and eat here once a week, though my wallet would not be happy. It is not ridiculously expensive, but it is on the pricey side. The atmosphere is wonderful. Staff is amazing. And the food is out of this world. We started off with the pork dumplings with spicy sauce and ended up ordering an extra plate of them, they were too good. The spicy noodles are phenomenal and the sauce is perfect. We ordered dessert dumplings, with marshmallow dipping sauce. I am not a big fan of desserts, but I do have to say this is one of my favorite desserts of all time! We almost ordered an addition serving of these as well but we were too stuffed to continue. This was a wonderful dining experience and I highly suggest this location as well as their menu. I do suggest if possible to make reservations in advance. We were able to sit at the bar but wouldn't have been able to if we had our children with us. The wait will be 100% worth it though.

The flavors here are absolutely amazing! We started off with a Cucumber Salad. Then, we had the chicken fried rice. After that we got the garlic string beans and chicken fried rice which was followed by the fried noodles and rice cakes with chicken. For our beverages, Jovita had a Pear Lychee Martini and I had Sculpin IPA and a Blue Moon Beer. The service was great and my only complaint is that it is noisy here.

I would give infinity stars for our server Will! He was absolutely amazing and made our experience incredible here. This was my first time trying DTF and it was so good! We had the cucumber salad, spicy noodles, spicy wontons, and xiao long bao. It was all delicious! We had to leave and will immediately got everything ready for us, on top of all his other tables! Din Tai Fung needs to give him employee of the year!

Would go again Friendly staff- order with a pen 🖊️ on paper like at a sushi restaurant and give to server! Served in a bamboo steamer

The Baseline

The Baseline: For Asian dumplings, the food flavors need to be authentic, the portions have to be properly sized, and the restaurant must be comfortable and stylish. Food: Starters is the cucumber salad and the hot & sour soup which are great beginners to a good meal. The shrimp & Kurobuta pork pot stickers were also a great starting dish that really got me ready for the dumplings. The dumplings were really good, we had Chicken Xiao long bao and crab & Kurobuta pork Xiao long bao. I recommend the chicken and the crab is very crab tasting. We had the Black pepper Beef Tenderloin which was super tender and flavorful. The Fried Pork chop fried rice was also filling. Along with the Chicken Wonton Soup it was a great entree selection. The accompanying dishes were the String Beans with Garlic and the Broccoli with Garlic. Of the 2 please always get the string beans, I could go in and only eat those and be happy, they are my favorite. Finally, desert was the Shaved Snow with Fresh Mango and the Chocolate & mochi Xiao Long Boa. The shaved snow was creamy and fresh that was an amazing try for the first time. I was amazed by the fresh mango not freezing on the top of the shaved ice. The chocolate bao was like getting a Christmas Hot chocolate reduced to a smooth texture wrapped into a dumpling. Yes both of these but especially the chocolate Bao. Service: The staff is friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They were fast and efficient with orders. Cold water carafe left on the table for keeping my water full during the day. Atmosphere: A casual sit-down restaurant with good seating and space between tables, which ours had a view of the Downtown Disney green lawn space. The kitchen is behind glass where you can see the food prepared by a huge team of chefs. Bathroom was clean with individualized stalls. The feel of the restaurant was active and felt like it was a part of the Downtown Disney environment.

Big Disney Adult who was super excited to dine at Din Tai Fung. Wait was long (to be expected) but so worth it. Delicious (as always) and so cool to see how all the staff work effortlessly to deliver hot and tasty dim sum. Our server was Michael, we were seated near the bar and he was amazing. Huge props to him and his team for the excellent service. We will be going back! Even if we have to be on the waitlist for a while !!!

Very delicious and flavorful place. Everything was spot on and did not disappoint. Recommend the steak and fried rice. You order little plates of a menagerie of different items. Honestly so many to choose from you can't go wrong. It is a bit pricey, especially being on Disney property, but would say its worth it. Very clean bathrooms and the waiters were amazing. Would definitely be coming back to try different dishes.

Well like everyone else said there is an extremely long wait even if you add to the wait list. I ended up being at the bar because I was only one guest but the food is extremely excellent the service was spectacular it is a fun experience to try. It was fun to watch the chefs make the dumplings at the windows is a lot of prep work twisting these special little guys.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional Service from Bryan at Din Tai Fung (Anaheim, CA) I had an outstanding dining experience at Din Tai Fung in Anaheim, thanks to Bryan, our lead server. From the moment we sat down, Bryan went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. His attention to detail, warm attitude, and genuine care made the entire meal feel special. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, offered thoughtful recommendations, and ensured that every dish arrived promptly and beautifully presented. Bryan’s professionalism and friendly energy truly elevated our experience — it’s rare to find service that feels both five-star and heartfelt at the same time. Thank you, Bryan, for making our visit so memorable. Din Tai Fung is lucky to have you, and I’ll definitely be returning because of the incredible service you provided!

My Husband took me here for the first time last night for my birthday and the waiter was very professional and polite and was very helpful. His name was Daniel M per receipt. The food was amazing! We loved the chicken dumplings, garlic string beans , shrimp fried rice, shrimp fried noodles , and the chocolate & mochi club with the sea salt cream. Everything was so delicious! We will definitely be returning customers soon!

Definitivamente volveremos a venir.

We didn’t have advance reservations so joined the virtual queue, which was about 2 hours. It was nice not to have to wait at the restaurant. So plan ahead for when to join the virtual queue. Once we were seated the waiter explained the menu and how to order by filling out the order sheet. We elected to have dumplings, buns. string beans and sesame noodles. The dumplings and string beans were amazing. We thought the buns had too much bun to filling. Unfortunately the sesame noodles were too spicy for our liking. We regretted not ordering the soup dumplings the restaurant is known for.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while and thankfully, I was able to get a reservation for my birthday. The staff are nice and understanding especially with my allergy. Our server said the main courses were family style and honestly to us it wasn't. She said it could feed 2-4 people, but it's more like 1-2 people. Like you know when you go to a good Chinese restaurant, they really fill up the plate/ bowl, like you get your money's worth. But with them they were like half the size. That's why they lost a star. We got Noodles with Diced Beef & Szechuan Peppers, Crab & Kurobuta Pork Xiao Long Bao, and Pork Chop Fried Rice. The soup was really good. Very seafoody like she said. The noodles were spicy, which we love 👩‍🍳🤌💋 And the Pork Chop Fried Rice was very good as well.

Din Tai Fung in Anaheim offers a fantastic dining experience with its famous soup dumplings and other flavorful dishes. The attention to detail in both the food and presentation is excellent, making every dish feel special. The restaurant has a modern, inviting ambiance, and the service is attentive. However, wait times can be long, especially during peak hours, so reservations are recommended. Overall, it's a 4-star spot for delicious Taiwanese cuisine in the heart of Anaheim!

First time here and the hype is real. On a Tuesday, we put ourselves on the waitlist and it was a four hour wait. But the service was fast and all the food was delicious. Of course the pork xiao long bao was the main event. Overall, we enjoyed our first visit!

This was my first experience with Din Tai Fung and it was fantastic. I love dumplings so I was very excited to try their menu. We got a variety of dishes and they were all so good. My favorite dishes were the cucumber salad and the crab and pork Xiao Long Bao. Delicious flavor with both. We also tried a couple cocktails that I would order again. The atmosphere and service of this restaurant are 5 stars.

A new Asian option is now readily available at the edge of Downtown Disney! A staple of comfort that's brought traditional Taiwanese cuisine and turned it into a more elevated experience with refined flavors that boast elegance and class. The interior is beautiful, the details of tile colors to the high ceilings, with a centre bar for extra seating. Spacious and lively. We got bar seats, and were seated almost immediately. With 3 bartenders working the bar, service was attentive and friendly. Shrimp and Pork Spicy Wontons -($17)- A staple during any visit to Din Tai Fung! Addictive, with a good amount of heat. Must order. Crab and Pork Xiao Long Bao -($22)- My first time trying the crab and pork, and honestly it wasn’t going with my flavor profile. The crab and pork mixture wasn’t my favorite. The little edible crab deco was a cute touch. String Beans with Garlic -($17)- Another staple in our visit. How to get me to eat more veggies? A bunch of garlic with a chef that knows how to work a wok. Sea Salt Cream Green Tea -($8)- Matcha Jasmine Latte -($9)- Both drinks were delicious, I love the subtle sweetness paired with the salty cream top! Matcha and Jasmine was also a combo I didn’t know I needed. Shaved Snow with Fresh Mango -($11) - The whole milk snow was the perfect consistency, super creamy and light. The dessert as a whole was good. The mangos alone were not ripe at all. Not ready to be served, all three of us mentioned the mango burn. Would have preferred this dessert with a rotating fruit that would be in season. Overall, it’s Din Tai Fung, at Disneyland. Expectations were high going in, and they surely delivered. This will probably be our go-to spot when we’re hanging around Downtown Disney!

Din Tai Fung gets so much attention on social media, so I was very excited to experience this restaurant for myself. The pork soup dumplings were really good, soft, and filled with a yummy broth. The second best part of the meal for me were the desserts. The dumplings and the buns filled with a warm, liquidy chocolate and dipped in a creamy salty fluff was DELICIOUS! The bill for 2 of us and sharing all plates and one soda was about $120. **One suggestion for the restaurant is to have an even amount of items on the plates, it makes it easier for a party of 2 to split things and not have that one left that everyone feels uncomfortable to take. Came here twice during our trip to Disneyland. I wasn’t expecting such good food as I assumed being in Downtown Disney made this a tourist trap. We were pleasantly surprised! Reservations are highly encouraged as they are busy all the time. First time we came for dinner and the service was great. Our servers were attentive and very thoughtful. Helen and Skylar were fantastic. Our drinks were very slow to come out. My husband ordered a lychee Martini and waited a long time -our appetizers came out already and I was half way through my old fashioned. This is the only area of opportunity I noticed. The soup dumplings (xiao long bao) were good-not our thing-but they’re very popular and hand made in site. The chicken fried rice was arguably the best fried rice we’ve had in a long time. The rice was cooked perfectly and the egg and chicken were so delicious. We ordered a second dish because it was soo good. The string beans and noodles with vegetables were good and quickly devoured. The beef dish was great-super tender and well seasoned beef. Also had the chicken won ton soup. Good but nothing special flavor wise. The chocolate xiao long bao YUM. You must try. Great atmosphere and service and the food was really good and made with quality ingredients and cooked perfectly. Note: when we can came for lunch we had the fried rice again and it was better the second time around! Also had the cucumber salad and hot and sour soup. Both delicious

We had a great meal at Din Tai Fung in Downtown Disney, but be prepared for a long wait if you don’t have a reservation. We waited over an hour to be seated, which was frustrating but once we got in, the food made up for it. The xiao long bao were perfectly steamed with a flavorful broth inside, and the spicy wontons were packed with flavor and had the right amount of heat. The cucumber salad and green beans were refreshing sides, and everything came out hot and fresh. The staff was polite and efficient, even though the place was super busy. Prices are a bit high, but that’s expected for the location and quality. Overall, it’s a great spot for a sit down meal if you want a break from typical theme park food. Just plan ahead and make a reservation if you don’t want to spend part of your day waiting.

The food was delicious and about the going rate for a dumpling restaurant and especially on Disney property. As for the service it was okay…. Nothing over the top but definitely smart to give you a menu with a pin to prepare people to be ready to order once you get to the table. Once you are seated it does take quite awhile for someone to greet us. Upon ordering once we were finished they asked if we needed anything…. They are busy for sure. As for the atmosphere it’s a big open space with a lot of seating. Definitely make reservations if you want to get in or out else the walk up like will have you waiting for hours.

P
Puneet Sudhir

Our waitress Kiana was extremely friendly and courteous throughout the entire meal. Food was okay, I think the cucumber salad is overhyped. Garlic green beans are solid but honestly not special. The yuzu margarita was a good mix of tart and sweet which was a refreshing combination. The spicy noodles were definitely the best dish in the afternoon as they were full of flavor. Lastly their mango bing soo was a great way to end the meal, fresh fruit and not overly sweet.

Our 1st stop for food on our Disneyland vacation - joined the wait list. seated in a hour. ordered quickly however...drinks from the bar took a long time (food was on the table before drinks). Food was very yummy- cant go wrong with soup dumplings and spicy noodles. Our waiter may have been over seated because we barely saw him. Overall it was a decent experience - maybe get take out next time rather than dining in.

(((((1 star service)))) My Honest Experience at Din Tai Fung (Late-Night Reservation) We had 11 p.m. reservations last night at Din Tai Fung, and I want to start by acknowledging that check-in was smooth. We got our buzzer, were seated right away, and our drinks were taken quickly. I’m familiar with this style of dining ordering shared plates, marking items and quantities on the sheet, and enjoying everything family-style. We’ve been to the Bay Area location multiple times, and every single time, both the food and service were exceptional. Even with the long waits (if you don’t have reservations), we’ve always felt it was worth it. This was our first time trying the Down South location, and while the food and atmosphere were good, our experience with our server, Paulina, really changed the tone of the evening. Our reservation was one of the last time slots of the night, and although we understood that, we definitely felt rushed. The server didn’t seem very friendly or warm from the start — the vibe just wasn’t there. After our dishes came out, I had finished most of my meal but was still working on my wontons while enjoying my dessert. Even though I still had food on my plate, she leaned in while I was eating and picked up my meal plate. I genuinely thought she was grabbing something else, but she took it which felt unprofessional and honestly made me feel like, “Well, I guess that’s it then.” It’s never a good feeling to be eating and have plates cleared from in front of you prematurely. We were the last table in the dining area, but even then, there’s a right and wrong way to close out service. After taking my plate, she asked if we wanted anything packed, which at that point felt ironic since we were clearly being nudged out. She packed the rice, we paid, and she walked away without bringing the rice back out. We got up to leave and realized she never returned with it. I had to go find her and ask for it, which is another detail that just added to the overall disappointment. Despite all of this, I still left a 20% tip because I respect the industry I’ve been a server in the past and I know how hard the job can be. But this experience fell far below the Din Tai Fung standard we’ve had at other locations, and it was the first time I’ve left feeling unhappy with the service. Great food, great ambiance but I wish we had been assigned to a different server. The rushed and disconnected service took away from what should have been an enjoyable late-night dining experience.

Dining in the comfort of your pajamas. It is very difficult to rate a restaurant on togo orders because that was not how the chef intended to serve and present the dish. But it is New Years eve and its cold and wet so why not get it delivered. Luckily DTF is very consistent with their food and have frequented several locations world wide. Order was individually packed and was very secure. Ordered significantly more but the vultures got to it before I can document. Also ordered spare ribs (super yummy) and fried rice. Not shown because the food was devoured.

My general impression of the Downtown Disney Din Tai Fung location is that it’s just like any other Din Tai Fung location except everything takes three times as long. We’re locals and we came here for my dad’s birthday. He drove to Downtown Disney to put his name on the 5 hour waitlist during the day and timed everything so that we could go as a family once my mom got home from work. We almost didn’t make it. As we were pulling into the parking lot, we got a notification that we were taken off the waitlist. However, thanks to some kindness and understanding from the hostess, we were still able to sit. My family was lucky, but a 5 hour waitlist is ridiculous and difficult to plan around. Who knows when that text might come to call you back to the restaurant. Imagine if you were a family attending the parks. If I knew the wait was five hours long, I’d probably go back into the parks. Imagine if the text came while you were deep in the parks, maybe in Star Wars land or Pixar Pier. How long do you think it would take you to make your way back to the restaurant? Maybe you’re halfway through an extremely long ride queue. You’d most likely have to decide between giving up your dining time or your ride. Even if you’re not a local, I don’t think it’s worth it to go to the Downtown Disney Din Tai Fung location. If you really want to try Din Tai Fung that bad, the South Coast location is not that far away, and the wait there is only around 2 hours. Isn’t that crazy? A 2 hour wait being referred to as “not as bad in comparison.”

Even once you’re sat and have ordered, everything took very long to come out. Dishes came out between long intervals, and our meal ran on simply because we were waiting for all of our food. This location is simply overloaded. I barely saw my server the entire night. And the food was exactly like every other Din Tai Fung I’ve ever been to. The dining area is quite nice and decorated well, but there’s really no reason to come here given that there’s Din Tai Fungs everywhere now.

Me and my wife had been planning to eat here for our Disney trip for months. We had all our order planned and were waiting to see what all the hype was about. Unfortunately it was very underwhelming. The good was the pork chop fried rice and cucumber salad. Everything else was bad. The ribs tasted frozen and were cold when they arrived to us. The baos and spicy wontons were warm for a few mins then got cold and became inedible. They had little to no flavor. Everything was just a let down. Then the price for everything made it worse. We would have rather spent it on Korean bbq or something similar that know would be better. Service was great and the restaurant itself but be prepared to be let down.

Restaurant is fine but frankly highly overrated and pretentious. Lessons and table instructions on eating a soup dumpling are just a bit much and over the top. One would think based upon its reputation this was best restaurant in Anaheim. News flash it's not just finished eating frozen soup dumplings and frankly they were as good as the restaurant's although they were missing the 12 or however many pleats of Din Tai Fung. Overall dumplings were fine, fried rice was severely lacking (egg/rice/shrimp ratio was way off) and highlight was the chili-cucumber dish.

M
Melanie L.

Staff was really nice. It was very busy, I made reservations a month prior. It was very loud, hard to hear my dining mates. Food came out relatively quickly. The food was good, however, I felt on par with other mom&pop shops that serve xiao long bao at much more reasonable prices. I think the restaurant was overhyped to me and so it didnt meet my expectations.

V
Victoria

Truly insane wait times. We put in a reservation via Yelp at least 5 hours prior to our meal. And when it is your time they only give you a 15 min notice to get to the restaurant to check in which is ridiculous, especially being on Disney property when many people are in the park awaiting a meal. The food was a bit overpriced, small portions and spicy. Would not go again.

Never again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The worst soup dumplings restaurant I have ever eaten at. I’ll start by saying 99% of my reviews are 5-Stars. So, when I say it’s bad. I really mean it’s bad. There were three of us and the bill was $107.75 plus the $10 parking fee which was validated for a total of $117.75 or almost $40 per person. Everything should be almost perfect for that price, but it was far from it. I even left hungry if you can believe it. The sweet and sour pork baby back ribs were served lukewarm at best and had enough meat for one medium sized rib at any other restaurant. Definitely not worth it. The cucumber salad was okay taste-wise but again it was very small with 14 pieces that would equal 1/4 of a regular cucumber. Definitely not worth it. The dumplings came out lukewarm…everything is served lukewarm. They tried to tell me that’s the way it’s supposed to be but they should know better. The service time was unbelievable. It’s like they were timing each plate delivery at 10 minutes. It took us 45 minutes after sitting down to get our last plate. We sat there for 5-minutes in between plates just talking about how bad the service was. I had to flag down the waiter two times. Once to take our order and the other to ask where our order was. I would definitely recommend getting a new management team, especially for this location. Just because you have non-stop traffic who are not locals and won’t be frequenting, doesn’t mean you can serve people however you feel like it. It’s a big NO for me!

We ordered one of every popular dish here with the baby back ribs being the only tasteful dish. Every other dish tasted bland and lacked uniqueness. Had it not been for the nice presentation and eye pleasing ambience it would rank among the typical C restaurant in a strip mall. For a restaurant regarded this high we expected more given the atmosphere and popularity in social media. A good rule of thumb is don’t listen to tiktok for restaurant recommendations.

Food is good, but not worth the price by itself. They recommend getting at least 2 dishes a person, so for a group of 4 that ends up being about $150+ even without drinks as of February 2025, however it is likely prices will increase in spring 2025, looking at trends. Everything tastes great and authentic (although heavy on sauce, and can even taste that the noodles and things are mass produced), and the service and check-in experience is adequate but basic. For those on the fence and wanting to try for the first time, it is worth a shot if you have the budget for about $40/person for getting only minimal food or $50-60 a person to be full/stuffed, although there are comparable dining experiences even close to the Disney bloc in the Anaheim area like Garden Grove, Tustin and Irvine.

I’ve been to other din tai and had wonderful dishes and services. First of all we ended up with three different server the first one her shift was ending, the second one had to go on his break, and we ended up with a waiter with no personality towards us. Our order came one at a time which is okay and normal, but our last dish was serve about fifteen minutes after, and warm. The noodles with diced beef(first time time ordering this dish not to familiar or what to expect but this is only my opinion) we did not like it, tasted like an Asian spaghetti if their is such dish. We like vegetables the string beans with garlic okay, and the port xiao long bao was just okay but not much soup. The service in din tai fung are average to below nothing extra. Our first time in this location I will return to try other dishes and hope that it would be better, but I don’t expect much from their services.

The food was okay, the dumplings and wontons were fine. It was the experience but I wouldn’t go there again. It was also too expensive and not worth it. The waitress was nice and friendly very knowledgeable of the food.

It’s a nice restaurant, but having to wait more than 3 hours for a table is not worth it, when we finally sat down, more than half of the tables where empty, so why do they make you wait that long? Service was good, but waitress did not know about which dish had a Michelin star, there are other restaurants in Downtown Disney, i wouldn’t go back, prefer the one in La Jolla
