Not bad food and not bad prices. I mean 8.99 for a kids chicken tenders? I had the bbq salad with decent size pieces of meat. I would’ve preferred more but was enough to fill but not stuff. I don’t think the prices are too much different then going out $16 for bbq brisket salad is pretty competitive and the kids meals are pretty cheap too. McDonald’s kids chicken nugget meals are $4-6 depending on location so for a much more filling portion size it’s not bad. The dessert portion of banana pudding was great tasting but that’s the only thing I’d say is not worth the price to portion ratio. It’s a small cup maybe like big shot glass type portion size for the price of a chicken kids tenders or hamburger meal I’d rather get another kids meal. If budget doesn’t matter it tasted great!
Food was delicious and meats so tender and soft. Even a person with no teeth can eat this bbq lol. We shared the meal for 2 people. Lemonade so refreshing!
My family and I really enjoyed our time at this restaurant. We especially loved Amy who helped my Dad get around in his electric scooter. She took such good care of us and she told us how much she loves working there. I had to beg her for a picture because I wanted to post this on here to show my appreciation for her. She doesn’t know that’s why I asked for a picture with her.
(December 2025) I’ve been here way back on a May 1991 day trip from Camp Pendleton. Fast forward to the last week of 2025. My wife made a mobile order for us to have dinner. Fortunately, there was some seating available. However, we had to clean our own table first, which the cast members are supposed to do. Anyway, we sat at a table with a good view of the “river.” For food, I got the BBQ pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and my wife got the classic cheeseburger with fries. Even though I prefer coleslaw with mayonnaise instead of vinegar, it was good as was everything else. My wife also got a hot cocoa which she says is the best hot cocoa she’s ever had. We finished dinner splitting the banana pudding. I’ve been wanting to take my wife here for years. Now, it is another option on our next Disneyland trip.
The Baseline: For a sit down Dining experience establishment the food flavors must represent the theme of the environment, there must be unique offerings to the restaurant based on the theme, and the experience must be immersive to the theme park experience. December 2025: Food: We had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich which was great if you go to the bbq service stand to get the variety of sauces. I also love the corn rib platter that has the awesome corn goodness. Seasonal Snickerdoodle cold brew is really good and almost as good as the Black Caff from Docking Bay. Great dining experience for Disneyland. Service: Disneyland Cast equals great service. Atmosphere: I have a great view of Rovers of America. Great feeling and atmosphere for a bbq place at Disneyland. October 2025: Food: We had the BBQ brisket on the salad which needs more of the dressing on the salad but you can get BBQ sauce and ranch from the condiment bar to dress it up more. It was a good salad and the brisket was smokey and meaty. I love the corn ribs as this gives me my corn fix at Disney and they are a little less soft than the cart ear of corn. I also love the baked beans which tastes like the same recipe of the old “All You Can Eat BBQ” restaurant that existed Per-Galaxy’s Edge. Desert of the Banana Pudding equals a good Banana Pudding. Very solid dining experience for Disneyland. Service: Disneyland Cast equals great service. Support your Disney Cast members with a Cast Compliment on the Disneyland app! Atmosphere: I have to got to at least Florida to hear a Hungry Bear Jamboree but at least a Disneyland I can taste it. Great feeling and atmosphere and has some of those old Frontier Land BBQ restaurant vibes.
Their ribs and pulled pork are the way to go. The brisket and sausage were a little dry when I had them. The sauces are good. I'm from the south so I'm usually picky about BBQ, but this is a theme park, so you have to factor that in. It's decent for what it is. Could be better. I've had two cold brows here: Honey and Snickerdoodle. The Honeycomb Coldbrew isn't as good as it looks. It was too sweet but in that chemical sweetener kind of way. The Snickerdoodle was much better, though extremely sweet, came with an actual cookie, which was delicious.
This has been my husband’s favorite value restaurant at Disneyland CA for half decade now. They’ve been reliable with easy to find seating, mobile order/quick lines and large portion sizes, and hot food. Recently they’re revamped the menu to add BBQ items and more BBQ flavor sauces. We had the Smoked Beef Brisket Sandwich and Smoked Angus Beef Burger with Pulled Pork and enjoyed both. Is it the best BBQ? No, but it’s hot and tastes nice. The thick fries are crispy and nice. A solid choice for meals at Disneyland.
Hungry Bear Smoked Barbecue Combo Plate This bbq was good for disney, the meat had nice portions. Only comment was that I only had the option for baked beans and coleslaw, couldn't even add fries for an added fee. Smoked Angus Beef Burger with Pulled Pork Another nice meal with a good portion. Meat was nicely cooked wish it had more sauce. Fries were nice and crispy. Churro Funnel Fries It comes with vanilla ice cream on top of all of the funnel fries. It tasted just like a churro but with the texture of a funnel cake.
I'm happy to welcome the new Hungry Bear Barbeque Jamboree! Although I enjoyed some of the food before the change, I'm glad the park has a BBQ option since Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue closed many years ago. I'll be honest: I'm wary of BBQs in amusement parks, as they tend to be hit-and-miss or, some days, better than others. The revamped menu has some delectable BBQ options, vegetarian and allergy-conscious items, desserts, and kids' meals. On my first visit, I ordered the Smoked Beef Brisket Sandwich with Beer-battered Fries. The brisket sandwich had a delicious and smokey flavor, with a soft toasted bun to hold all the goods. Unfortunately, my brisket was a little on the dry side. After adding more BBQ sauce, I still devoured the whole thing, but I would have enjoyed it more if it were a more tender and juicy brisket. BBQ can be a hit or miss; hopefully, I'll get a better cut next time. The pulled pork sandwich or combo platter would be popular options I can't wait to try. The Beer-battered Fries were a nice change from the average fries that were available before. I love the crispy, seasoned texture, and it goes well with my ketchup-mayo with pepper dip or BBQ sauce. There are plenty of condiments to pair with your meal and ample seating on two levels with views of the Rivers of America. A few new specialty drinks are available, and I tried the Sparkling Strawberry-Pickle Lemonade, which was a refreshing choice. The pickle flavor is subtle alongside the strawberry flavor, but the pickle spear is a delicious touch. As with many of the restaurants in Disneyland, Hungry Bear will be able to offer seasonal items throughout the year. I can't wait to see what they create next. Stand-by and mobile ordering is available for lunch and dinner. Magic Key pass holders can also apply their discounts here. I hope to try more items soon!
My visit to the Hungry Bear Restaurant in Disneyland was quite enjoyable, despite the hustle and bustle typical of a busy theme park. While the atmosphere was a tad chaotic, which is to be expected, the efficiency of the staff impressed me. Despite the long lines, we swiftly found seating, placed our order, and received our food promptly, all prepared just as we requested. I recommend the burger, chicken tenders, and onion rings – delicious choices! Plus, it's worth noting their gluten-free options, catering to various dietary needs. Overall, the Hungry Bear Restaurant did a commendable job of providing a satisfying dining experience amidst the excitement of Disneyland. Four stars well-deserved!
Stopped here for dinner while in Disneyland. There is lots of seating to dine and you are right by the water of Tom Sawyer island which offers a cool view to eat at. Chicken sandwich was pretty decent and the fries were tasty. They even had ranch for dipping. Cheeseburger was given a thumbs up by my daughter. The large soda is only about 60 cents more than the regular size. Great place to eat that doesn’t break the bank, and fun outdoor views while eating.
This location is usually pretty decent. If you're looking for a simple Burger, fries, or a funnel cake, this is a good place to go to. It's usually about $14 for a burger with fries and not huge portions like, but medium-sized. I usually get their chicken sandwiches, and the flavor is pretty good and will keep you pretty full. If you are able to do a mobile order, I highly recommend it. Because on a busy day, you can be waiting for about a half hour in line. Last month I came here and there was a strand of hair in my fries so I went to the counter and they exchanged it for a new item. It was a slight disappointment that I was not compensated for the disgusting inconvenience as most restaurants usually do but I did not make a fuss about it. On the plus side, there's a lot of seating upstairs.
Whilst visiting Disneyland, we stopped here as we were hungry and it was nearly the start of the day. The food wasn’t bad but also not great. I got the pulled pork sandwich, whilst my wife got the corn ribs as she’s a vegetarian. The food was mediocre at best and definitely needed sauce adding to them to make th taste that much better. It’s handy they offer sauces on the side which are free and are on the side so you can pour as many pots as you want. The vegetarian options aren’t great, and not much variety. Anyone’s who’s not a vegetarian, there’s quite a few option byt if you go to the upstairs seating area, the order station they umbrella covered one portion of the menu board entirely which is a nit pick but it’s not ideal. The service at, Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree is efficient and served pretty quickly. OVERALL, not a bad spot, but not amazing either! However it’s typical theme park food, so if you expect that, you may be a fan.
A bit of a bummer, but this place just wasn't great. We got the pulled pork sandwich and the corn ribs. The bun on the pulled pork sandwich was a bit soggy, and the pork wasn't very warm... the coleslaw really redeemed this sandwich though, the coleslaw was really flavorful and yummy. The corn ribs were cold and not very flavorful. I'd say if your family has dragged you here and you've got to get something, get the pulled pork with the coleslaw. The fries are also decent.
Better think twice if you want “REAL CHEESE” on your burger. Stopped here after a long day at the park with our 2 yr old. When my name was called to pick up our food, I noticed that the cheese on the kid’s burger was not melted. It looked like they pulled it out of the fridge and put it on the burger before serving it. I asked the lady who was calling the names if she could melt the cheese. In a very rude, uninterested, ‘leave me alone’ tone she replied “WE DON’T DO THAT”. I was stunned. She never made eye contact and went right back to what she was doing. I raised my voice and exclaimed that I just paid $10 for a kid’s burger and would like the cheese melted. She repeated herself. I raised my voice for all to hear and repeated myself. A manager behind the counter began moving towards us, and just as he did, another obnoxious young worker behind the counter screamed “IT DOESN’T MELT!!!…. IT’S NOT REAL CHEESE!!!”. I couldn’t believe my ears. Not only was the conduct from these employees a complete zero, but we don’t get REAL CHEESE… at DISNEYLAND?!?! To top it off, the $20 brisket sandwich we ordered had a piece of fat the size of a golf ball in it. No meat attached, or around it… just a ball of fat. What a complete bummer this experience was. I’ve been coming to Disneyland since 1982, and never thought the service or quality could ever sink to this level. Wow.
If I could leave ZERO stars I would. This place is a big fast food restaurant in Frontierland, Disneyland. And the smell that draws you in is great. It was 8 at night in a day they close at 12. It was kind of dirty and missing ketchup, utensils, etc. We wanted to order ribs but ordering through mobile it wasn’t an option, so we ordered a brisket sandwich. It took 40 minutes. Most of it had big chunks of inedible meat fat. Wendy the manager needs to check on what is being served there. Fries were horrid too. In all I would no recommend it. :(. And btw, there were ribs! Just not available through mobile order… on the app :/
