It was a great experience. The staff was busy, but I got my food promptly and still warm. The food itself was good! The grilled cheese and meat sandwich had tender meat and the tater tots did not taste as they were in the freezer for a long time. The beans were good and sweet, something that I would expect from American-style beans. When it came to the ambience, it was a relaxing people-watching experience. Ryann was my server and they made sure my drinks were always refreshed and asked me multiple times how I was doing. I should of told them to compliment the chef for my food!
This was a good choice for an early dinner here. We sat inside which I'd suggest because of the atmosphere inside is nice and there's also air conditioning. The service was exceptional and the food was great and filling. For appetizers we order the catfish fritters with the shrimp and for my main course, I ordered the Fried Chicken sandwich that came with bbq baked beans and tater tots and my wife ordered the brisket Mac n cheese.
This Orleans Square gem makes good on a promise of exceptionally tasty food! Both of the dishes were memorable and the setting was so comfortable that our group ended up staying to sit and chat. Most importantly there was special attention to balancing flavors, textures, and portions. I love trying new things; however, I'll be getting the chicken sandwich and loaded fries again next time.
We made reservations through the Disney app at Cafe Orleans and really enjoyed the experience and the food. We loved sitting out on the patio to enjoy our food, and actually got the dessert first which was a berry cobbler. Y’all, we almost ordered another it was so tasty. After our dessert appetizer our entrees came out. I got the BBQ tofu - the tofu was softer than I would have liked but overall had a great flavor. I was thrilled to see a complete vegan meal on the menu at a sit down Disney restaurant. If we’re ever back at Disney, we’ll definitely make reservations again!
This would be a 4 star outside Disneyland, but it stands out compared to other options inside the park. My shrimp pasta was pretty good, I would have preferred the shrimps a bit more seasoned. Salmon dish was also good and not overcooked. Chips on the side were too hard. Prices were reasonable
In my opinion. This is an underrated gem. We had no problem getting in and were seated on the patio. I ordered the buttermilk chicken with mashed potatoes. It was delicious! Crispy, slightly spicy, tender chicken breast. Creamy mashed potatoes and a surprisingly good apricot bbq sauce. The weakest point of this plate was the coleslaw, not seasoned and it was warm. My husband has celiacs disease and is vegan. He ordered the grain bowl. He said the flavors were well developed, delicious and he would get it again. He even said it edged out the gumbo at Tiana's palace in flavor. Bottom line. We had never been here before. Would not hesitate to return. Give it a try, you might be as surprised as we were.
We did the fantasmic dining experience. At night. For fantasmic show. Although the show busted 3/4 way in. Villain got stuck coming out. The food was so good. Amazing 3 course meal.
First time eating here. The restaurant is pretty nice inside but it feels like I mended to have a tea party . Service was quick. It took them about 5-10 minutes for food to come out. The best I ate were the house fries. The chicken was a little dry. Pancakes were alright. If I must say $10 for a side order scrambled eggs is outrageous 💀 ate every crumb.
We have dined here on several occasions, and so far it has never been a disappointment. We had brunch this time around, and everything was so delicious. The plates looked huge, tasted like magic, but yet was very light on the stomach. Our plates consisted of the American Breakfast, Biscuits and Gravy, and the Sticky Toffee Pudding Pancakes. Stew/Mickey Mouse was our server, and we are glad he was. Very attentive to our needs and making sure our meal was the greatest. Thank you Stew!!
I came here for my Birthday supper and I loved it! The food is delicious, the service is fast (though I strongly recommend placing a reservation), servers are kind & helpful and the patio area has a great view. A huge standout is the allergy options, in particular those for celiacs. Not only do they give a dedicated menu but they even double check with the chef/cooking team to ensure no cross contamination! A very good restaurant with delicious food. Highly recommended.

I’ve been to Disneyland a million times and never even noticed this cute restaurant. We made a reservation for lunch. We were really excited to try the food. The location is super cute and the seating is great. You can look to look over and see Tom Sawyer Island, and all the people walking around and families having fun. Xavier was our waiter and he was really super helpful. He told us about the oil having cross-contamination because we have fish allergies. So unfortunately, we were unable to try anything from the fryer because everything fried there is fried in the same oil as the fish. Kind of limited our options for lunch. The iced tea was really fresh and very refreshing. Jaden was super helpful and told us all about the great desserts. And other tasty items on the menu. The service was incredible. Unfortunately, the pimento, macaroni and cheese was not as good as the biscuits with the Mento cheese sauce. The strawberry shortcake pudding did not disappoint. Not only was it really cute, but it was also really tasty. A little hard to get everything in one bite because of the jar but the whip cream was a delightful surprise. 10 out of 10 would totally recommend make sure to make a reservation first. The cast is super nice and there to help you. We did ask for the manager and Xavier got a little concerned thinking he had done something wrong. We asked to see the manager to let her know what a great experience we had. Everybody’s always so quick to complain and hardly ever take the time to call the manager to see if what a great time they had. The service was wonderful Cass the manager was really sweet and we were super grateful that she took the time out to come and talk to us. We were told the hummingbird cake was really delicious but you don’t have it. Please bring back the hummingbird cake.
We dined here on Christmas Day, we purchased the Fantasmic dining package with special area seating, package was purchased 2-3 months ahead on Disney’s website. Food: out of the 3 restaurants we had went to in DCA & Disneyland, this is the most disappointed one, it is not our first time at the River Belle Terrace so it is expected, we want to get the fantasmic dining package and there isn’t a lot of option so we chose this. My wife and I both had the pork chop, taste is meh, our son had the fried chicken, it’s actually pretty good. Service: I believe our server is named Jorge, amazing service! He made us laugh so many times! He is the highlight of this dining experience! Atmosphere: meh, it’s a cafe style restaurant. Is it worth it? I think it’s worth it for the special front row seating area. Yes you will get wet and you are sitting on the ground but the view along is worth the package!
A nice little getaway from the crowds. They usually have reservations for same day visits if you look on the app. My fish was pretty good. The fries were decent, maybe a little salty, but you are at an amusement park. This is definitely one of the better places to eat at the park. The staff was super helpful. Lastly, THEY SELL ALCOHOL... so you will enjoy the park more after a visit if you feel stressed.
Just survived lunch at the River Belle Terrace Restaurant in Disneyland! Pros: Amanda, our waitress, was a total rockstar - fast service and excellent customer service. The loaded fries and Big Belle sandwich were filling and delicious (although, let's be real, I was too hungry to care at that point). The atmosphere inside was adorable, and the fried chicken sandwich was a highlight. Cons: NO BATHROOMS, folks! I had to do the dreaded "I'm-so-sorry-l'm-gonna-make-you-leave-your-food-behind" dance with a family member to find the nearest restroom. And, of course, our food was cold by the time we got back. I'll definitely be back - with a full bladder and a craving for that Country Cuban Sandwich. Pirates, here I come!
Great service but probably one of the lesser restaurants in the New Orleans Square area of the Disneyland park. The vegan/plant-based options have dramatically improved in the last few years though. Very bright inside, convenient location within the park. The vegan grits and meatballs are very tasty but heavy. The vegan squash dish is much lighter and fresher, and tasty as well.
Service was great! Burnt ends with pasta was delicious. The blueberry cobbler was yummy but the ratio of blueberries to cobbler was off (plenty of blueberries, not enough cobbler). The restaurant acoustics are noisy especially with small children in attendance! I would eat there again.
Honestly the quality of the food was lower than expected for a table service restaurant but it is Disneyland restaurant afterall. My BBQ tofu tasted good but it was overly oily. Basically it was oil soup topped with tofu. Mac and cheese was alright but I would not be able to finish the whole plate due to the heaviness of the dish. Potion was definitely big and service was nice and friendly. If the menu changes I might try again
This little restaurant was a nice break away from walking around Disneyland. We had a little bit to eat and a couple drinks. The food was good but pretty average, but the environment was really nice. It was a pretty little patio, and we were able to watch the boats and people go by. River Belle Terrace is a nice place to stop for a bite if you are close by!
I love Disney and have an annual pass, and so I am biased toward giving high marks too much of what Disney does. River Belle Is one of the better restaurants within the Disneyland park, and it is also one of the only restaurants where you can get table service. So that makes it a great choice in many ways. Nevertheless, Disney could up its game a little bit at River Belle. For example, I ordered blackened fish and the menu does not state that it is blackened salmon, and if it did, I would not have gotten it because I’m not a big fan of salmon. My bad. Still, it was that’s mushy sort of salmon. Delicious potato chips, by the way. Plus the chicken dish that I saw on other tables looks delicious. That said I prefer to get it from the Plaza restaurant on Main Street, which has the best fried chicken on the planet! The tables are sort of put together in a cafeteria style, so it doesn’t exactly fit the menu prices. My table felt as if it was dangling in the middle of the room with a lot of space all around me. Yes, I’m grateful for the extra space, but I felt like I was sitting out in the open. By the way on a warm day in the high 70s, the restaurant was freezing and I did not have a jacket obviously and so I was freezing the whole time in the early evening. The staff is friendly as she would expect at Disney so I will give the staff high marks. Well deserved Given the challenge, they have of serving such a high volume of people. I will keep going back to the River Belle, Because it still has a number of good items on there And it is tough to find table service within the park.
I recommend getting a reservation to eat here. Came here for my son’s birthday and as you make your reservations on the Disney app, you can also include a birthday cake as an add on to your reservation. My husband and I ordered the chicken pot pie soup and the children ordered Mac and cheese and fries. The food was good and the cake was so cute and it was delicious! Service was super nice! We enjoyed coming here for an early dinner for my son birthday!
Ambiance/Environment: This spot is located in New Orleans Square - Frontierland. It’s easier walking through Adventureland because you’ll find this restaurant on the right side at the end. It’s a very casual spot with American foods. Wait time: They were busy in the afternoon. I was quoted a wait time of 40 min, but my table was ready within 15 min. Highly recommend booking reservations through the Disneyland app prior. If they’re accepting walk ups, you can partner with the cast member at the podium or join the waitlist on the app. You’ll be notified when the table is ready via text. Once you get the text, you have 10 min to return to the podium to be seated. Service: Everyone was very attentive and kind! I wasn’t able to catch everyone’s names, but shout out to my server Matthew! I was checked on a few times, my water was consistently full, and empty plates removed. Brunch: I ordered the Big Belle Sandwich and Chocolate Peanut Butter Pudding. The Big Belle Sandwich is HUGE! You can share this between two people. It contained Nashville hot chicken, brisket mac and cheese, house made slaw, and served with house fries. I was not expecting this to be stacked. The Nashville hot chicken had a nice spicy kick to it. The brisket mac and cheese was creamy, but I prefer a bit more brisket. The bread in between each layer made the sandwich even more filling. The fries were seasoned well and paired deliciously with the sandwich! For desserts, I got the Chocolate Peanut Butter Pudding. It tasted as expected. Sweet, chocolatey, and nutty. Pricing: This is theme park food, so of course prices are higher than expected. One dish alone can feed two people. I’d say it’s worth it! Great for lunch and dinner while in Disneyland.
We ate here as part of the package for the Fantastics show. What a fun place to eat. We had reservations and was able to eat within 15 minutes of the reserved time. Interior is like the 1890's. Server was very busy ,but gave us all the time we needed. Menu is limited in a good way. We started with spicy meatballs in polenta, Delicious! I had the pork chop dinner (4.5 stars), my partner had the chicken sandwich with the whole dinner in-between 3 slices of thick bread. (3.8 stars. Indeed it was spicy. Chicken, Mac and cheese were all in there. Enormous portion but he enjoyed it. Dessert was apple crisp with ice cream.(4star) For a sit down fun experience at Disneyland, go and have a very relaxed dinner.
Food here is good, not great, but pretty good for in the park. The burnt ends pasta is a fun and unique dish. They have a lot of choices and it’s a nice place to just go sit down and chill. They have seating for the evening shows outside which is pretty cool as well. Service is decent, they are just so busy in there .
We came here around dinner time on a Thursday. We were seated quickly though we did need to first make a reservation on the app. This is a sit down restaurant but it was still very fast service. Our drinks came within five minutes and our food was out soon after. The quality of the food was good but not amazing. I got the loaded fries and was surprised by how spicy they were. I enjoyed the extra kick but they lacked much flavor. My partner got the BBQ pasta and they really enjoyed it. We also tried the signature cocktail and loved it. Best drink we have had at Disneyland.

The outside patio dinning had a beautiful atmosphere. For how crowded Disneyland was, it seemed peaceful and removed. It was beautiful to see the lights of the steamboat as it passed. Our service was adequate but I was really disappointed when one time our server came to our table to ask how things were and he wasn’t even looking at us. For Disney being so service oriented and everyone so friendly and happy that seemed very impersonal and like service we’d get at a low scale restaurant. He wasn’t pleasant enough overall but just didn’t seem engaged. It’s interesting that when we left my dad and I had the same thoughts. The chicken pot pie soup was delicious and very filling and quite warm which was nice. The second hot chocolate was warmer than the first…. I would definitely eat there again!

Walked in for lunch. We didn’t need a reservation for a Tuesday at 11:15am. The inside was almost empty, but they tried to sit us outside. They obliged when we asked to be inside. Food was simple and you get what you expect. We had the nachos, grilled cheese, and picante mac & cheese. Server was very nice and attentive.
Went for dinner as part of the Fantasmic dinner package. The food was remarkably mediocre, especially considering the prix fixe cost of 58 dollars per person. Burnt ends pasta was oily and predictably barbecue sauce flavored. Pork chop was very dry. Staff were nice but appeared exhausted and could not keep up with drink refills. View of the Rivers of America was unobstructed with great people watching. The seats for Fantasmic were excellent.
We had a reservation and showed up about 20 minutes early to check in. It was another cold night (in the 40s) and they tried to seat us outside? When we asked for an inside table they let us know if could be another 30 minutes or so. So we waited, hostesses weren’t exactly friendly, but once we got to our table the server was nice and quick. Food was pretty good, my husband’s sandwich was spicy but he was pleasantly surprised by this.
There are so many great places to eat in the Disneyland Resort area, but this isn’t one of them. We’ve eaten here 3 times, however the last two times were just to get the Fantasmic dining package. Not once have we ever enjoyed our meal. The food is edible and we eat it, it just doesn’t taste very good. The impossible meatballs were good, better than a lot of real meatballs I’ve had…everything else we had was mediocre to not good. My youngest daughter got the chicken, which was boring, but expected for a kid’s meal. The biscuits were over baked, so very hard on the outside and dry on the inside. Even with butter they tasted very dry. The salads were basic and dull. My older daughter got a meat plate. Everything was on the dropper over sauced side of things. I got some grains dish which was actually terrible. It was a confusing mess where nothing seemed to belong on the same plate. I got the pudding for dessert, which was okay. I didn’t enjoy the cake at the bottom, but the actual pudding tasted good. My daughters each got the sorbet Sunday and barely touched them because they were overly sweet. They looked incredibly unappetizing. The main reason we are here was for seats to watch Fantasmic. I’m not sure what exorbitant price we paid, but being able to sit down while we watched the show made it worth it.
Nice place to take a load off. I was really hungry and we chose to eat here. Mainly because who doesn’t like biscuits and gravy. Biscuits and Gravy: large portion. The pork belly and cracklings wee a nice touch. I wish it had more gravy and that the biscuits were at lest warm. Fried chicken sandwich: great flavor especially with the pickles onions. Wish my waiter would have checked in to refill coffee.

Just ate dinner earlier with my girlfriend. Food was good but the only problem was the chicken pot pie soup was served cold so we asked for a new one and it came back out warm and was good. I got the fried chicken dinner and everything was super good. Unfortunately came home a couple hours after and me and my girlfriend both got sick and ended up with food poisoning. Just a heads up for anyone else we only ate one other thing at the park but this was our first time there
There is NO bathroom in this restaurant. I had to take a family member out of the restaurant to the nearest restroom then return to cold food…. Absolutely unacceptable!!! The others who were in our party did order the sandwich which they enjoyed. The loaded fries didn’t have much meat and was mostly BBQ sauce. The pork chop was a pretty thick chop served with made potatoes and vegetables. The service staff was attentive when taking our orders; however, dirty dishes didn’t seem to be a priority. The cherry dessert was big enough to share and it was very tart overall. We will not be attending this restaurant again.
We were super excited about this experience and left there frustrated. Even though we made a reservation, we waited a long time and the restaurant was not full. Super basic menu for the price. They give you VIP access to the fireworks, which is terrible, because you spend hours sitting on the floor, in a crowded place. The good point was the waiter, super gentle. Never more, 0 Disney experience.

We booked 2 tables of five 60 days in advance. As advised, We arrived 20 minutes early in order to combine our group into one table. After making the change, the host advised us it could delay us up to 75 minutes! When we objected to this due to the fact we had 4 tired and hungry kids, she said ok, she would check the status at our actual reservation time. We waited a further 15 minutes, and when we checked back she apologized and said that they had accepted a large amount of walk-ins and we would have to wait longer! So we cancelled our reservations. What a terrible system. We ended up leaving the park and went to Mimi’s where they gave us good food and drinks and great service for half the price!
The quality of the food was disappointing; it was not fresh at all. We ordered pasta and pork chops, and both dishes were poorly prepared. On top of that, we waited 45 minutes for our food. Although one of the meals was deducted from the bill, the experience still wasted our time at Disneyland. The manager did come over and kindly offered to replace the lamb chops with brisket, and their attitude was very accommodating. However, I feel it’s important to provide an honest review. Overall, we had a terrible experience at this restaurant, and I would not recommend it to anyone.
All the food was lukewarm and we watched other guest, who came after us, get served. Waiter had to be told to refill drinks the 1-2 times he came to check. Food was pretty terrible, meatball on grits and not given a spoon. Pork chop was dry and flavorless, all it had was pepper, the mash was ok. My kids meal was pretty sad, dry chicken, chip fries and 3-strawberries. I didn’t know $60 a person could be any worse. If you have to pick a restaurant at Disneyland, skip this one.
Dirty!! This restaurant was nasty. The outdoor tables need to be replaced. They are so scratched/ marked up. Waitresses hardly smile and no one wipes down tables between guests. Saw it happen multiple times including where we were seated. If you are grossed out by leftover food from previous diners on your table/ plates/ cups/ and utensils - don’t come here! I asked for a couple of items to be replaced and “clean” ones were equally nasty. Food is mediocre at best. Typical cafeteria food - canned beans, tater tots, flavorless macaroni. ***There’s a reason this place is open to reservations every day. It’s not good. You’re better off eating at any of the fast food kiosks.
I want to start off by saying we will never be back to dine here at River Bell Terrace. We had reservations weeks in advance. We checked in at 7:10 but didn’t get seated until 40 minutes later!! We weren’t the only ones this happened to. Come on Disney!!! Get it together!! With the amount of money spent to just get into the park, 40 minutes is highly unacceptable. This soured our experience. The food wasn’t even worth the $72.00 we paid. I had the Pork Chop and Jovita had the Pasta.
Reservations don’t matter. They make you wait until they feel you are worthy to be seated. The folks seating you just seem to be chatting amongst themselves and when you ask them, after waiting for upwards of 20 minutes, their response, we don’t have an iPad and can’t tell you when you’ll be seated; find the guy with the iPad. The service is just horrible, the one person serving seemed to just be running around, the food was barely edible. Only consolation, they’ve started serving beer; at least that was good.
Our server Stew on June 14th for dinner was Extremely pushy to flip tables when the restaurant was more than two thirds empty. We noticed he was putting a check down at the tables all around us before they had even finished eating and he did the same to us. He even gave the table beside us the check before the kid had received his dinner. Stew was also not informed in the Very limited menu as was apparent when asking questions about not including certain sides. We spent over $50 apiece and ive never had such bad service at a disney restaurant. Also the food came out within 3mins of ordering which tells me everything is pre-made and sitting under heat lamps. It was also cold when the food arrived.
When I order a meatball I expect it to be a meatball! Such deception is not rewarded. I realize there is a vegan leaf icon to the right of the item description but that’s a notification for vegans. It should NOT be a warning for people expecting meatballs. At no point in the actual meatball skillet’s description does it state it’s not real meat. If anything it should call itself a vegan meatball or else a vegan meat-like ball. Otherwise the food was rather good. The fakeballs didn’t taste bad and were surprisingly juicy. The big belle sandwich was fun and I love mac and cheese, although it could use more cheese sauce. The Mississippi Mud Pie drink was… an interest experience although not my thing. The pumpkin spice pancakes were tasty and the cobbler was cobbler. Overall worth trying once they change the skillet’s description.
I was shocked how bad it was. You normally read reviews and think, it can't be that bad. The reviews are very honest and accurate. The burnt ends pasta was inedible. I literally took maybe three to five bites before I gave up trying to eat it. The chicken pot pie appetizer was decent. A friend had a salad for the appetizer and the croutons were soft. We ate the dessert because atleast I ate something of the meal that I paid $65 for. We booked this dinner as part of the fantasmic viewing package. Be aware that you will sit on the floor. I parked the stroller infront of the restaurant where we were allowed to park. When I went out to get our jacket, they had moved it and I was instructed to look for the dragon. See attached photo and tell me if you would have seen it. I do not recommend.
I dined here with the Fantasmic package. The server was very kind, but the food took way too long to come out. They kept telling us, “Your food is coming soon,” but all the other tables around us had already been served. We ended up being the very last ones to leave — we were there for over an hour. When I asked for water, the server kindly said they’d bring it right away, but then just went to take other tables’ orders. They completely forgot until I had to ask again. And the food? It was terrible. Even the French fries didn’t taste good. What I want to say is: The food was disappointing, The service was disappointing, And at some point I honestly wondered if I was being treated differently because I’m Asian. This experience made me not want to buy food at Disneyland ever again.
The food was not hot, it was room temperature which is kind of crazy considering the fact that they took a very long time to bring our food out so you think it’d be hot, the salad was the only thing that was mediocre the rest was just all bad. Service took long on drinks, food and dessert. Not worth it to eat here at all.

Atmosphere was probably the worst at the park. Except for there bus boy. Multiple parties were seated and waited a half hour before a hey, what would you like to drink? Or any type of acknowledgement. Watched a couple leave after waiting that long, then were rushed after waiting that long from acknowledgement. The vibe was all dark and negative. Really makes you upset when your spending your hard earned money for this type of treatment.
