We dined at this location and it was very good. We had the Seniors Omelet and Seniors Country Fried Steak. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted terrific. I like that the portion sizes were not reduced. Service was good. I would definitely return.

From the moment we stepped in the doors, we were greeted like we were family. Scott was Awesome with EXCEPTIONAL Customer Service! Exactly what we needed after a long day at work. Food came fast and was delicious 😋. We will be back again, very soon! Scott is definitely an asset to the restaurant.

I got the Strawberry cream cheese crepes and they were delicious. The bacon was perfect and my eggs were cooked awesome. They were training our waitress and she was already so good right out the gate and the guy training her was excellent as well!

The service was better this time, the staff was a little more attentive. There was a young man that didn't seem to be having the best time at work. I understand that he may have something troubling him. Management should help him, so that he may have a better shift. The food was fresh and hot. The coffee was great, they were on time with refilling my cup. Thank you for serving us today! A big thanks to the host and our server. She was busy, but she didn't forget about us. Denny's is a part of our weekly outing with our grandkids. They just love going out for breakfast at Denny's. We can't say enough about how amazing the staff is. Denny, Brittany, Saul (and the whole staff )...are so nice and fun. They make our visit great. And the food is always very good too. Yup, we're big fans!

It’s Dennys I usually always have the double cheeseburger. Decent quality. Don’t get drink the tap water. Atmosphere is like for very elderly but when your in desperate need of food at a late hour Dennys your best bet.

Fantastic eats at a great price. We had a skillet, omelette, and crepes, and most of it was perfectly cooked. The staff was helpful and efficient. Only criticism is the crepes seemed a touch undercooked. But we still devoured them. I've eaten a lot of places, and you really won't find better quality for $12-15 per person. Coming back again soon.

I have always had a great experience with this Dennys. The staff are excellent. And I was pleasantly surprised to find that They switched to paper straws. Good on them.

Love the fact that it's open late night and you can still eat off the regular menu instead of only being able to order a select few items like what happened during COVID. Food came as ordered & was the appropriate temperature.; hot.. The waitress came around just enough to not be overbearing. She was very friendly & even gave me a to go cup of coffee with what was left in my pot.

Excellent service. They were able to seat us right away. Server was very nice, funny and prompt. Food was better than I've had at most diners (ie eggs over easy were cooked perfectly and hash browns ordered extra crispy were actually extra crispy). Would come here again when visiting the twin cities area.

I give old skol Dennys a 5 for nostalgia sake. Who hasn't pounded down a cold moons over my hammy at 3 am crushed off malt liquor??? We went here to get some of that delicious ranch dressing ...I mean seriously they should sell it in stores...taco bell sells salsa??? All and all good meal and I was having so much fun forget to show you pics of the meal but it was good ...try the chicken fried chicken. Server ...I don't remember her name but she was a short blonde with tats...she was great best service we had all week. Good job and support Dennys!!!

Denny's is great for a quick, delicious breakfast. I was mostly impressed with our server who was on his own with at least 10 tables. He made sure everyone got what they needed!

A little late for Thanksgiving, but this was just perfect being I didn't have the "traditional" Thanksgiving dinner. Always a great experience when I come here. The staff is very friendly and provide great service. The food is almost always exceptional (I will admit, the stuffing wasn't to great). Would definitely come back.

Been a very long time since the last visit and what a pleasant surprise. Great selection, tasty, reasonable prices, and great service. Will be back soon.

came in late last night for dinner and it was just one server, Joanna, working. we were her only table for a while and then two tables full of Karen’s came in and were super unkind to her and made her cry. they caused such a scene, insisting they knew the owner and yelling at the cooks through the kitchen, going in the servers station to get their own drinks (after waiting less than 2 min) but she handled it well. she was a great server and hope she knows that! our food was great.

We visited Denny's on Christmas day. It was very busy. There were several "To Go" orders. The staff were working hard to keep up. Despite the amount of orders coming in, the staff was friendly and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised. Every time I've come into this Denny's, it's always past 10pm when nearly every other dine-in restaurant is closed. With that said, the restaurant is pretty empty at night and that doesn't bother me one bit! I've gotten good, hot food each time, and this one time, the burger was very delicious! Easy to go for a quick bite. Service can be slower at night, but it's understandable when it's late. Will certainly continue coming!

I stopped by Denny’s and decided to try something from their Under $10 menu, and honestly, it’s totally worth it! The portions are generous and the food tastes great definitely more than what you’d expect for the price. I ordered the burger with fries, and it was surprisingly big and juicy, cooked just right with fresh toppings and a soft bun. The fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned the kind you can’t stop eating. It’s a great option when you want a good meal without spending too much. The service was friendly, the food came out fast, and overall, it was a satisfying experience. Highly recommend trying the value menu you really get your money’s worth!

An older building, with older booths that are falling apart. Aside from that, the food is fine. But the staff and service is what really gives it a 4. They were helpful and courteous.

Good turkey dinner and bread around Thanksgiving

My children's and i food was very good but my wife got a skillet meal and her food came out burnt and when we asked about if the meal was supposed to be burnt he says yes we are required to heat them up to 500°F and it burns the food. I just think it would be on the menu as blackened bourbon chicken at least we have an excuse for burnt food. I would still go back just don't order any skillet meals

There was a little confusion between staff members with which one was going to be my server. They quickly figured it out, and were polite not only towards each other, but to me as well. The food was good, the restaurant was clean.

Haven't eaten here in years. Server was nice and personable. We all thought the food tasted great but my daughters had to use the bathroom soon thereafter and had heavy upset stomachs. So I have mixed feelings.

I came to Denny's not expecting anything but a good breakfast which was not the best, the man serving me was all over the place. My food was cold waiting for a plastic fork, and hot sauce. I believe they need more waitresses and waiters. I did leave him a tip he was kind to me he was very busy. He told me my breakfast was paid for by two older couples who left out. I saw them I said hi, did not know they would do such a thing, I was astonished and blessed from the two Earth Angels. So grateful for their humble service. I hope they read this and know how grateful I was at the time. I never experienced strangers paying for me in my life. My life did a 360 in the last 4yrs It has been hard financially, you both are one of a kind of special ppl. There are still kind ppl in this wicked world! Genuinely Grateful Person 🤎🥲

The renovation was a success for this Denny's! Must have renovated the cooks too, because the food quality, appearance, and taste has improved tremendously since the last time I ate here (2 years ago). Only 4 stars because the couple making out by the bathrooms was clearly waiting for me to finish up and leave so they could use the facilities for "other" purposes. Pretty good food, though!

4 stars only because it honestly depends who is working. One time we had a great waitress, the next time the guy couldn't figure out our online order and kept insisting I ordered from Door dash (I didn't). The cooks do a good job and I haven't had a complaint about their food.

I was with a friend at their work and then we met up with another friend at Denny's about 6a.m. Of course on a Monday morning it was pretty quiet. We were seated right away, our orders were taken pretty fast, the food was good, and our server was pretty cool. I would definitely tell others to go here and I definitely will be returning here myself.

This is a favorite for me and my boys. I don't usually remember to take pictures as this is one we frequent often. My oldest loves the crepes and I am always down for a French toast slam. Considering the shortage of employees everywhere, the staff at this location doesn't miss a beat. Coffee warmed, normal wait times, food always delicious.

I often come to this place because the Food is Great as well as the service. However when I visited this location Wednesday June 25th at night, the waiter who works at 9PM made a disrespectful comment regarding tips. To the best of my knowledge tips are suggested. The store owner or manager should have a conversation with this waiter since since it is not acceptable to disrespect any customer.

I have only visited here once before, several months ago, and it was ok. Today, we went around 5:30 and it was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and the food came quickly. We got burgers and kids' meals, and everything was excellent. We were really surprised and I would not have expected a burger this good at Danny's!

The service was excellent. The new menu offers a great selection. The restaurant is always understaffed so there are a lot of dirty tables and bathrooms. The atmosphere was crazy with rowdy teens and screaming children. I think we came at the wrong time of the day.

On a trip to Minnesota from AZ and ate lunch and dinner at the same restaurant in Apple Valley. There was a huge difference in atmosphere and service between the two shifts. The waiter for lunch (2:30pm) was happy, smiled a lot and friendly. He took our drink orders right away and came back for our meal orders quickly too. The food was served in a timely manner even with a busy restaurant and was delicious. I couldn’t decide between French toast or the bacon avocado burger, so I knew when we came back for dinner that I’d get the burger. Dinner (10:15pm) was completely different. There were 5 tables waiting for food including us. There was 1 waiter and 1 cook. The cook kept leaving and going outside and just walking around the restaurant instead of cooking. Nobody’s food was coming out at all. It took 50 min to get our food and there were only 4 of us. The tables near us hadn’t even gotten their order taken and it had been 30 min. The kids mac and cheese was gross, the Bourbon burger had tomatoes and lettuce on it when asked not to, and my avocado bacon burger had no flavor so it was very disappointing. The waiter never checked on us to see how the food was or if we needed anything. If you want to go to this Dennys go during the day and not at night. Night service is horrible.

I ate dinner here. It was very quiet and we were seated immediately. There was a very nice young man who was our waiter. Very personable and did a great job. Unfortunately, I didn't catch his name. The food was average, and I have no complaints. Of course, it is a Dennys, so the food will be pretty average. Our food came out quick and it was hot.

Well I was not happy about about to getting a free hard does like rock brownie it's was even free but still it's was too carzy .

Both the food and service up to paying my check was excellent. Extremely disappointed and angry though, when paying my bill waitress swiped my gift card and said it had nothing on it, yet when I checked my balance online it said I had a balance of $25. Don’t know whether it was just laziness or incompetence on the waitress part, but she could have tried entering the 19 digit card # on the back!

We have always had good service and food at the Apple Valley location, but not today. We waited a good 15 minutes before anyone came to our table and at least 40 minutes for the food. My daughters grilled chicken skewers didn't show up for 15 minutes after that. To top it off, my food (Philly omelet) made me immediately sick to my stomach and I spent the rest of the day in the bathroom.

A gentleman in a purple dress shirt was AWESOME! (Hoping he got the tip)The man dressed in black that seated us was so occupied with his cell phone etc. My daughter wanted another glass of milk. That didn't happen! We waited FOREVER to get our check.

I have been going to this Denny's for about 6 years. I had an unfortunate accident that landed me in the hospital for a year and 7 months. Once I got out I wanted to get back into my regular routine and I went here and even though it's the same place, same atmosphere, the food wasn't as great as I remembered it. I got the moons over Miami and the bread was very dry like toast, hard toast versus like a grilled buttery type bread. The edges tasted like they were in a toaster. The mozzarella sticks were good. The shake was good from what my son said but his meal was not that great either. Not to mention the order was wrong but maybe it was just North day

I've done 3 total online orders with them in the last 2 years. 2 out of the 3 times I went for pickup, the gentleman at the front makes sure I noticed that he is annoyed. He rolls his eyes. Food was the worst of any Dennys. Hash browns were raw and when I was given a fresh order, the only difference was the topwas cooked to crispy and underneath was still raw.

I had the French toast grand slam today. I ordered over easy eggs with it. I took one bite of the eggs and saw a runny, yellow and white pool form on my plate, indicating that the egg was still raw in the center. I love runny yolks, but runny whites condemn the rest of my day to the toilet. Not the end of the world, but when I told my server that my eggs were quite raw still, she had the audacity to ask if I wanted over medium instead. I politely told her that I would like over easy, just not raw. She took my plate and saw that it really was raw. She brought it back to show the cooks, and they still sent out slightly undercooked eggs. If you can't cook an egg properly, you don't belong in a kitchen. I've got many years of professional cooking under my belt, from fast food to Italian fine dining. The place had a great atmosphere, and the staff was polite and punctual. I grew up in this neighborhood, and I have had decent experiences in the past. I don't write reviews unless the experience was very poor, or very good. This was a very poor experience, but I think it's an issue that could be easily resolved with a little extra training.

Edit: So HOT! Their AC is on the fritz or something. The last couple times it has been very hot. We just stopped in and it was 79 and very humid inside. It was was absolutely hard to breathe which is distressing to say the least. We couldn't stay and decided to drive to the next nearest one: Burnsville. Much nicer, cleaner, and cooler! The apple valley Denny's has been pretty dirty almost every time we've visited lately. My wife was literally confused and they were seating us at a table with so much garbage underneath it/on the seats. Something really needs to change! Denny's is a regular in our lives. The food is good and really cheap. It's a great place to just hang out. The manager is really friendly, but when he gets really busy he can make a lot of mistakes with serving. We've had issues with our order many times with him, but I think that's only when we go after church and the place is packed. The store could definitely use some more workers, but not really their fault, they're hiring!

The booth we were sat in had one bench that was uncomfortable due to having dips in it. The food was ok, my mom was not happy with the country fried steak gravy, it was watery/thin and there were no sausages in it. My brisket-all sandwiche was ok, but I didn't like the sauce used in it. The service was slow as it took about 20 to 30 minutes after we were seated before the waitress came over.

We were greeted and seated qucikly for a Sunday morning. Once seated, it took a while before, we were able to get a drink order in. Wasn't too busy when we came but could have been short staffed so understandable. Placed our order, and the food came out quickly. The pancakes were thin and chewy, and the eggs were cold. Ham portions seem like they have gotten smaller, and the prices have increased a lot. After we got our food, our server didn't come around after that, except to drop off the check. For the price and quality off the food is not worth it. Average 15 a plate, for that price i recommend Copperfields or Original Pancake House. Dennys used to be a spot for quick n cheap eats, but now the prices have increased, but the food quality and portions have not.

Mom was in town and wanted to take me to breakfast. Waitress was amazing. Food was not. Bacon was undercooked. Hashbrowns were hard…undercooked? Sausages were cold. Mom ate half her omelet. She said it was not good. Usually takes home leftovers and did not this time. What a waste of money. 🥲

Ordered delivery through the Denny’s website, waited over an hour and not a single thing came correct every single part of my order was missing something or incorrect to some extent. I Called to ask for a refund and explain that, and the person who answered started trying to tell me that the delivery driver left it sitting for a while. The driver being late has absolutely nothing to do with the order being incorrect. I was issued a refund but I’m very disappointed and this is not the first time this happened with this location

Ordered the $5.64 breakfast late evening. Bag felt light and order was incomplete no meats, no butter, no syrup. Hash browns were soggy. Staff made unnecessary comments while I was checking out. Disappointing experience. The young lady in the front was nice though.

Monday we decided to do a pick up order for breakfast. My husband loves the Moons Over My Hammy and it's been awhile since he's had it. The cheesy hash browns came burnt and the ham on the sandwich was very dry and tough making it a very unenjoyable meal that he barely touched. He tried because he doesn't like wasted money. But he was very disappointed in his purchase. Also didn't get utensils or salt.

Awhile back when I asked for a straw and my sister said she didn't need one, Brittany said something like, good at least you are saving turtles. Went for breakfast and ordered the value slam. 2 eggs 2 pieces of bacon and 2 pancakes. The eggs and bacon were not good at all and the pancakes were just ok. The waitress was very nice and she did an excellent job.

Have been here once before and it was great. Went this time got seated right away but after 10 minutes nobody checked in for drinks or order or I’ll be with you shortly. We stopped someone and asked if we had a server and could they stop by they looked at us and walked away. We just got up and left. Never going back.

Google says they’re open till 2 AM, I’m working out of town and wanted something to eat before I go back to the job. I walk in both entry doors and I noticed that the lights are dim but thought maybe a section was just closed down. The first thing the lady inside says is "obviously we're closed." Like no, obviously if your doors are unlocked and it says you're open till 2am you’re not closed. I told her she didn't have to be rude as I leave. As I’m pulling away, she walks out and proceeds to lock the outside door but looks over at me like I'm in the wrong and I said, "you know you don’t have to be rude to a potential customer." She looked at me sideways like I was disrespecting her and me and her went back-and-forth before I left. Change your hours to reflect when you are open.

The waiter was very rude and lacked customer service. We were seated very fast, but the waiter threw the menus on the table and walked away without saying anything. He came back a couple minutes later to take our drink order but was very rushed which made me feel rushed and uncomfortable. I had no time to look at the menu and just ordered a water. He came back a few minutes later to take our order, still very rushed and disrespectful. We left before the food came because of the service. Terrible experience.

I come here often because my 9 yr old son really likes the food. However. It always takes time to be seated because the host is also the cashier. He slowly runs all checks of people in line before getting around to seating people. Today we were there for over 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged we were seated and waiting. What is even kore annoying about this is that these issues don't seem to bother anybody working there. And we were served our food with no silverware.

Went here for supper. Waiter was swearing, told another table that he's the "r" word, dropped multiple f bombs. Food was disgusting. I ordered a house salad and the lettuce was brown and wilted. Ordered soup and was told the batch for that day was bad, then 5 minutes later he brings out a bowl of soup and admits that they did have soup,but he was planning on taking it home with him. Forgot our appetizer, and on top of that, kept trying to talk to us while we were eating about college football or something. He did comp us for the soup and drinks, but it didn't lower my disappointment. I don't think I'll ever eat at this Denny's again.

Orange juice had I'm assuming beard hair on the glass, we received our order an hour after we ordered and it was cold. I had to hunt down the server just to get new warm food. Talked to manager, he took 12.99 email club discount off. That's it. He ( the manager ) was rude and abrasive. Asking what I was complaining about? After an hour and half we finally got warm food. The only apologetic person was a nice young woman/ waitress from another section. She is the only reason I didn't walk out. Our waiter was incompetent and the manager was a jerk.

Food passable but not great even compared to other diners around here. Greasy, poorly seasoned, meh. Service - abysmal. I came at an off hour, near 3pm, and didn't see my server for almost 30 minutes. Just had to sip my coffee (served by host) and go hungry. Eventually the host took my order, I didn't see the food till then either though. Staff were wandering around and berating each other. Not coming back again if I can help it.

One star doesn't usually get checked by me but this place was not quite up to speed like it was 20 plus years ago. Very few patrons in there but the biggest concern is that when I went to check out the guy took my card but instead of finishing my payment he decided to keep my card and went to seat other's that walked in the door. I was so furious that he started walking away with my card. That was so uncalled for that and will ever return there for any meal. Not good for anyone to walk away with the customers bank card. Very unprofessional. Shame on you!!

My daughter and I went to have brunch, server did no bring us utensils or napkins tables were dirty, napkins on the floor and when we ask e for utensils, servers gave us attitude. Miriam the server rushed us to pay because she had to leave and she could not clock out until we paid. The other workers saying bad words to each other, being playful no professionalism. The manager was rude and Miriam the server too. I had been there before but I wanted to try it once again maybe they had a bad day but it happened again so this is their normal behavior. Hopefully the district manager sees and says something , this is an opportunity to grow, train and develop. Better your customer service at this location.

The server said there were two new cooks alone. Only saw two servers. Eventually at the end of my hour and a half meal I saw, what I assume was a dishwasher, bussing tables. Pancake puppies came out after about 20 minutes. Were a little well done but not terrible. Not a fan of the cream cheese sauce being served directly on the plate, the old way of being on the side was better, in my opinion. It was almost 20 more minutes before we got the rest of our food. I got the appetizer sampler and it only came with 3 onion rings, which is ridiculous, even the server agreed with me. She offered to get me more, but I declined. If that's what it is supposed to get, then now I know. Server didn't write down my order, so not surprised my pancakes were missed. Came out very quickly, but when I buttered them, the bottom one was flipped upside down and had little black grease specks on it like it died in the window and they were trying to cover it up. My ten year old said it tasted fine, so I went with it. I waited a ridiculously long time for boxes and my check too. What was supposed to be a quick bite before running to the grocery store before bed ended up being just dinner before bed. Top it off with taking the spaghetti off the menu, which was my kid's favourite, just made it a bummer of a night.

The mere fact that Denny's doesn't have dice/chopped onions is ridiculous to me and it's even more ridiculous that Denny's wouldn't accommodate me is even more ridiculous, Denny's use to be my favorite place to eat for breakfast but NOT anymore, who want grilled onions in their eggs NO DENNY'S RAW ONIONS IHOP is now my favorite place to go for breakfast, they cook my eggs/bacon and hash browns the way that I like them. The service was ok,but I think it's ridiculous that a restaurant like Denny's doesn't have chopped/diced onions. So as of 3/3/26 was my last time having breakfast @ Denny's in Apple Valley MN, The bread was disgusting my hash browns or eggs were good. Yessssssszzzzzz IHOP

Came here with my daughter for breakfast and became violently ill shortly after. I had the apple crisp slam. It was very sweet and heavy. She ordered birthday pancakes. They put some cold frosting on the pancakes which to me seemed gross, but she ate it. Server got overwhelmed by new POS system. Kind of a nightmare. Tried to contact someone about it, but no one responded from their customer care line despite the fact that it was “escalated” per the woman on the phone.

This was the WORST service I have ever had at dennys. It was freezing cold inside . We were finally” greeted”after like 3 minutes then after waiting for 8 minutes someone comes to take our order , haven’t had drinks yet, so we order drinks and then food which took a LONG time, then they bring out my boyfriends nachos before any of our drinks or anything else ??? Wasn’t even HOTT, forgot multiple things had to keep asking, didn’t get checked in the whole meal , went to go pay I did not tip- obviously- and the girl in a very sarcastic tone says “and again we are sooo sorry for the inconvenience” and rolls her eyes . Never going back to this location . Food was trash.

So yeah, this experience was, you know, it Started out to have all the potential in the world. And mind you, and I want to set the stage, this was almost like a completely empty restaurant, like maybe one or two guests in the restaurant Max, and no one was really coming in either. And then sadly, kind of became just a not fun restaurant and just a kind of sadly, a waste of money at a point of time When you know, the food came out, not staggered, like some of the kids food came out late. And then our food came out late. And then one whole entree was missed and ended up coming out much later, those are not things that we like do not like. The oven was broken and you know, they were still serving food that required oven cooking and you know to me it's like, okay if the food can still be made correctly. The food did come out even though it required an Oven and it looked awful. And I mean, I guess it tasted edible but looked just horrendous, like garbage, like disgusting food. You know, we ALL ate we were hungry at one point. We had a child with a meltdown You know, and I was begging the waiters Hey, just bring out some of my toast. You can do that. That's got to be ready. Bring out some of the fruit that we ordered. We'll take that IT would that would help us. That would stop this meltdown from a two year old that was hungry. But no, they didn't they didn't do it. Either they just ignored us, or they simply couldn't be bothered to help. At the end of the day, the the kind of the straw that broke the proverbial camel's back and that camel's got a good backThat camel's got a great back.And it's hard to break it, but the the straw that broke that camel's back was the hair we discovered at the bottom of the kids meal, which was just disgusting. Absolutely Disgusting! So yeah, I mean, at the end of the day, OSHA ought to take a good look at this place. OSHA, meaning the food agency that looks into cleanliness, and to make sure that they're doing this right cuz, we need to have hair Nets on or something we shouldn't be having hairs in our food. The cooks they definitely need to be Wearing hairnets, if that if this kind of thing is happening, it's a sign that there's no hair nets. So at the end of the day, I would not go to this place. I would not could not should not go to this place. And I will not go to this place. And I urge anyone else to avoid it as well. It's just simply tries to do a lot.And fails on every single measure.

Wondering if coming in on a Saturday was not a great idea. They were steady, but not packed. We sat for a while before I who I assume is the manager came to ask for drinks. I asked about the specials we saw online, then got the flyer to order. Our food was...black. everything except one of our pancakes and our eggs was extremely overcooked. When I said something to manager, he brought a new hashbrown but was confused on why we didn't want to crunch on all burnt pieces. Last but not least, when we went to pay, we had to wait for someone else as he was texting at the drinks station ignoring us.
