The cashier guy was rude, but over all the experience was Great! They need more friendly people at the cash register not just someone eho treats you like just another number. Our server was Great and sweet! The food options were Great! The salad bar was fantastic. And overall we had a good experience except when we were trying to leave.. ironically he wasn't even the cashier that we paid our bill with. I told him to learn how to smile and not be rude to people because he just ruined our whole experience. We may try one more time, but I just want to give an honest review. I'm sure I'm not the only one who felt this way.

I was my first time there ,and what a great experience, they have the friendliest staff of any restaurant i have been to in a long time. Natasha took care of us at the table never leaving an empty plate or having to ask for refills on drinks. Did not see any staff without smiles on their faces.

Hubby and I went there Sunday at 11:15 for Mother's day lunch. It was SO crowded already, inside and out! We only waited 10 minutes and we were texted that our seats were available. The food was AWESOME! The service was AWESOME! Those employees were busy, busy, busy all of the time. No lolly-gagging and looking at their cell phones like some other restaurants! They were working their butts off...but were all still smiling and several took the time to ask if we needed anything, refill our drinks, how were we enjoying our food, etc. And speaking of food: the brisket was cooked to perfection! Tender, juicy and tasty. The turkey was delicious thick slices of white and dark meat, for your choosing. Then the ham, the fried chicken, green bean casserole, corn, broccoli, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, gravy choices and more...were all fabulous. And I mean it. No run of the mill tastes here. Each item was given the preparation it needed to be delicious on its own. The line at the buffet tables were long, but kept moving very well. With the attentive staff refilling all the trays of food as needed. As mentioned before, they were busy and hard working to keep those tables filled. We saw the huge salad tables filled to the brim with freshness, but were too full to even take anything (a rarity for us to pass up a great salad bar). But we did save room for their famous peach cobbler! It didn't disappoint us either. This restaurant knows what it is doing. The food was the star, and the employees and their teamwork was great, right along with any 5 star restaurant. Great job, management! What a delightful Mother's Day treat we had. Thank you! 💥💥💥💥💥

I gave a glowing review of the Butter Churn a while back. I am usually not a fan of buffets but this place does everything well. There is a nice salad bar with numerous selections including soups, and a few desserts. Everything on it and the hot bar is kept fresh and very tidy. The changing menu offers numerous entrees that should suite just about anyone and selection of tasty vegetables. Also there are a couple of different rolls and cornbread. The service is very attentive and will check up on you often to make sure your drink is refilled and always happy to bring you a particular condiment or if you forgot to pick up something while filling your plate. I'm giving this review to add pics of what I hope is an easily read menu and current prices. In these days where some sit down restaurants charge the same or more for a burger and fries as the buffet here, I think the prices are very reasonable where you can enjoy some healthy and home-style options.

This is one of the best home cooking buffets around! The food is always hot and fresh tasting, plus it's always kept up with. The menu changes every day, and they have food for everyone in the family. The staff is always refilling and cleaning around the buffet area. The waitresses and waiters are very attentive and super friendly, awsome place to bring the entire family!!!

Home cooked Delicious from scratch. Everything on the Buffet line is fresh and cooked just right. These folks take their time preparing and pride themselves doing so. The staff is great and friendly and extremely courteous Elida our server was on top of things making sure we had all that we needed i highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. Each day is different delicious food items so you're sure to like it any time of the week .

Definitely one of my favorite buffet! It’s just awesome. All-you-can-eat with reasonable price. Foods are fantastic, way better than some of overpriced restaurants in big texas cities (especially I love their briskets and fried chicken). The downsides are that it’s a bit distant from where I’m from and the cashier was very unmotivated, but if anybody asks me to recommend a good place to stop and have a good meal before getting into Corpus Christi, then this is the one. Be advised, I’m not the only one favoring this place so expect some waiting unless you’re going for an open-run.

We have been loyal customers for decades, starting out with the Sinton location. When their food quality went down, we started going to Aransas Pass. We’ve enjoyed the AP location for many years, but now the food quality has gone down here, as well. We were there around 5:00 pm yesterday and the food was barely warm, or even cold. I do not enjoy eating cold old food that’s supposed to be served hot. I had to put my plate aside and let it be picked up, because I can’t stomach cold spinach, carrots, and mashed potatoes. On top of that, the fried chicken was almost overcooked and the meat was tough and dried out. The prices have gone up; yet the food quality has gone down. We were extremely disappointed and aren’t planning on returning for quite some time. Maybe you can get things back to the quality that kept us coming back for so many years.

Well...it is a buffet with lots of steam trays. Food is acceptable. Not gonna win any Michelin star!! The clientele are mostly refinery, chemical plant and craft workers... so quantity is important. We came on Thanksgiving, and it was packed for hours. They did pretty good and getting the wait down, the staff was friendly. We did see 2 ambulances when we pulled up. And we saw a lady mistep and hit her face on the side of the sidewalk when we were all waiting. The manager, I presume he came quickly and helped her. I believe it was her blood sugar dropping. Poor lady. Overall I am a picky eater, due to being a Sexy Vegan Lady 💚 The salad bar was top notch, and full of Amazing things for me. I even spoke with a lady putting out items, she was super nice. She recommended the raspberry vinegar dressing. I was super happy! Now, my carnivore other half, was deeply disappointed. It has been 10 years, since we came to butter churn at this location. The mob of people swarming the small but packed buffet area was overwhelming. Aloy of items he got, were cold and no taste he kept saying. Apparently no salt or pepper used. You need flavor to help bring the food and make people happy. I hate to waste food, every plate I got, I finished. Every plate, he got was full afterwards and he had a disappointed look the whole meal. Honestly most people around us were not happy, and we hear it's not like it used to be. Some lady next to me said, its not butterchurn, its turn and burn buffet. If I ate meat I would have been deeply disappointed. When I went to get dessert for my boyfriend, it was run through, some sort of cobbler, that was very much gone. On the way home, a few days later. We ended up at a golden coral, and my boyfriend was over the moon with the food. It was hot, and fresh, seasoned and all that is should be. I wasn't impressed by the salad bar, but it was clean. Yes, it was in Corpus Christi area still. Now when we come back through, I'm positive we won't be coming back to butterchurn at all anymore. Oh, and lastely the seating at the butterchurn is very much changed. No booths, or space. They line up the tables so close together, the lady next to me elbowed me a few times. We laughed about it, but sheesh... people come for the atmosphere and food. Not to be hearded like cattle. No pun intended. Best of luck with your place, but you've lost my families business.

The food at this place is likely the worst I have ever had. I am 71, so I have had a few meals. If you enjoy vegetables that taste like they are straight out of the can and tasteless food service type gravy, you WILL enjoy dining here. The salad bar is decent, but not outstanding. The fried okra was good. The cobblers were gummy and below par. Drinks are served in styrofoam. I am a good cook, so when reading this, understand that I deplore spending money for food that is worse than school cafeteria fare. The wait, hostess and checkout staff were friendly, welcoming and did a great job. I really had hoped for a good experience, but sadly can't recommend.

Young male employee from behind the counter with purple shirt american flag hat sat down at our table speaking with my husband. While sitting there he picked up my bowl of beans and spoon acting like he was going to take a bite. Then put it back on the table and left. I do not feel that was right. The manager was made aware and did fix the situation. I found out towards the end of our visit that the manager got onto our waitress who had nothing to do with the situation and yelled at her. Also the young man made the comment "I can do what I want when I want and not get in trouble". I do not think that is right. The wait staff has to pay for his actions. Not cool!!! When leaving we told the manager have a good night and she rudely said " yeah whatever'. That is not how you treat people. Because of this experience we will not be going back.
