Opinions de Stingrays Taphouse and Grill Port Aransas
Great food, it just took a little long to order & receive our food. This place is in desperate need of heat lamps in the cooler months (I was shivering the whole time), it's a must need for this indoor/outdoor setup.
One of a few bar and grills currently open in Port Aransas after Hurricane Harvey. I ordered the Brussels sprouts and they are amazing. Stingray shuffle (cucumber jalapeño margarita) was better than ever. It was good to have a place to come and watch some sports, eat some good food, and have date night all in one establishment. Not to mention yards from the beach. Come and show your support. #portaransasstrong.
Great food and service! Will definitely be back.
Love the pet friendly atmosphere, our Husky loved getting the attention of the staff and the pizza crusts he got fed! Good food, good staff, good atmosphere.
Our server was fantastic! They have a really nice beer selection and very good pizza (some never before seen combo pizzas)
Great experience. . Have been coming to stingrays since they opened. Waaay back in the day. Tonight my husband and I went in. James the bartender. Made the best margarita that I have had In A long time. And the best in port a . Regular size. Regular pour . Just really great balance. Ordered wings.. naked with side sauce. Outstanding..
Excellent taphouse outside of the snarls of the main roads in Port Aransas. Food, service, and atmosphere were all 👍! We'll be back when we visit Port A again.
Enjoyed the dining experience. No problems with anything. Thanks guys!
Holly was our server today. We ordered pizza. I have been having tooth pain that has made eating certainly hinge a struggle lately. She didn’t know this. When I asked for silverware to eat my pizza (I know, I know 😅) she was nothing but kind and efficient. Not everyone is that kind. It was noticed. Thank you Holly! Also, the food was AMAZING!
Loved this place for our family. Great service and great food. Burgers and Pizza were terrific! Pool tables as well so our boys really enjoyed that!
We had burgers and fries/onion rings. Our food was delivered as ordered, fairly quickly, and was really good. The onion rings looked to have been overcooked, but tasted great. Our service was quick, our server was very polite and helpful. Seating was a bit tight/crowded but we were able to be seated immediately upon arrival.
$2 beers (and solid ones too), good food, friendly staff, TVs for sports, good music. What else could you want?
The best chicken tenders you’ll ever have! Food was delicious, beers were cold and service was great! Don’t waste your time with the long wait times everywhere else, go to Stingrays!
This place was great. Keith was our server/bartender tender. He was very friendly and gave a lot of great places to check out while we are here on the island. Food was really good and decently priced as well. Definitely recommend!
Walking distance from Camp Coyoacan. I left feeling pleased and stuffed. Indoor and outdoor sitting. From what I saw dogs were allowed but it was for outside dining only. Its a covered area so its not that bad. Plenty of tvs showing NCAA BASKETBALL with a nice bar. Wings and onions rings were on point. Never mind wife said wings were realllllyyyyyyyy goooooddddd. Id defiantly recommend.
We had a great experience at Stingrays! It was a busy October weekend with lots of events going on and every restaurant was packed. We wanted somewhere to get a beer or two and grab food to go with our senior dog and 5 year in tow. I believe Heidi was our waitress and she was so sweet! She was working so hard and even made time to get our dog water. The food was good and we will be back!
Great service! Everyone made us feel right at home. We went with the bbq pulled pork pizza and it was fantastic!
Great place to hang out. The only sports bar on the island. The staff is perfect and inviting. I wish they had a gluten-free option 😞. However, the do have corn tacos. The food is really good. The pork tacos are awesome. The chicken tacos, not so much. The pizza is perfect. I'd definitely make it point to stop here when you visit.
Another person and I came about an hour before closing and still the service was very kind. The environment is lovely, everything was clean and welcoming. The restrooms were also clean! I want to come back and try the pizza some time. They sure can get busy but basically everyone is going to be busy in Port Aransas during the evening. I can tell they were working hard here. ❤
Nice bartender, Brandon and met the owner who has 2 cars above the bar that are fully operational, a 1970 Stingray and a 1977 Stingray, very cool atmosphere. 😁He shared pics of the car instillation using fork lifts to set them in place. 😮 I plan to be back again to try the food but what I saw from the kitchen it looks yummy and smells good!😋
Despite the over an hour wait, I am going to give a 5 star review. We decided to come here on a busy Saturday night with our dog. There were no free tables outside so we had to wait. The staff was very attentive and gave our dog water. When the wait was getting past an hour, they even offered to set up a folding table for us. When we got our food it was wonderful! I recommend the Ahí tuna sliders and the Rum Bucket.
Great place to watch Longhorn football games in Port A. Great service! Great food! Thank you for a great time😍🤘
Me and my best friend made an impromptu trip to the beach and found stingrays on our way to go set up for the day. The Cabo tacos were amazing, just the right amount of spicy and they were grilled just right. Our waitress was fun, attentive, friendly, and overall just a sweetheart! We loved meeting her. She took such good care of us. We’ll be coming back every time we’re in town. Thanks for the vibes! Ps-get the rum buckets 🤣❤️
Wonderful, friendly, some of the best fried pickles and pizza, I've every had. Im picky
We got the trio app: fried jalapeño, fried mushrooms, cheese curds. They all were really good. Then we ordered the chicken and bacon ranch pizza. It was 😋 but would have liked the crust a little crisper. Over all the food was great. The staff was alittle cold at first but took good care of us. Played pool at the end which is free just leave a DL for the balls.
The wife and I had Dinner at Stingrays on Friday evening. The atmosphere is very casual. Maybe 10 tables, plenty of bar seating, pool tables in separate area, about a dozen tv’s for sports. Very beachy atmosphere. Good selection of craft beers, and good choices on the menu. Pizzas looked good but we ordered the Cabo Tacos ($14.99) for the wife, I got the Chicken Bites ($10.99), and the Spinach Artichoke Dip ($10.99). The Cabo Tacos, 3 to an order, were very good. So were the Chicken Bites (I chose habanero mango sauce) and they were very good but the order was kinda small. I also had one of the wife’s Cabo Tacos and we shared the Spinach Dip. As a bonus Land Sharks are $2 on draft and Blue Moons are $6.50. All in all a good spot to hang out, eat, watch some sports and let the kids shoot some pool. We will be back. Oh and our server Stephanie is the best!
Found this place randomly and decided to stop in (mostly convinced by the car on the bar image) and very happy we did. Down visiting for a weekend getaway with our 10 year old pups and boy did we get the warmest welcome ever! Family run place with good food, amazing Pina Coladas, kitchen staff that spoiled my dogs, and addictive buffalo shrimp for the husband. Go off the main strip. Eat here. Pardon the pictures. It smelled to good to wait to take a good one before taking a picture 🤣 (And enjoy the bathroom murals - my husband and I each had to take pictures to show each other. They really are very pretty)
First time eating here and was not disappointed. I will definitely add this on my list of places to eat at in Port A!! Cabo Tacos: Seasoned fried redfish served with house slaw, chipotle sauce and guacamole on corn tortillas Bacon wrapped chicken bites: Seasoned chicken pieces wrapped in bacon, stuffed with jalapenos, fried and tossed in avacado ranch, topped with parmesan cheese, parsley and herbs.
Excellent Food! Excellent Staff! When in Port Aransas, make this a Must-do on your list! I had the Maker’s Mark Burger and the wifey had the Cabo Redfish Tacos! Do not underestimate! Both were very good! We sat and ate at the Bar while enjoying our Drinks. A special remark for Charlie the Bartender! She was wonderful and pleasant to visit with with while taking it all in! Look forward to doing it again on our next trip to Port A!
Best margaritas on the island! Our table shared a few appetizers and though the FRIED pickles and homemade cucumber ranch was really, really good, the FRIED WATERMELON 🍉, was off the chain! I don't know what that secret mix of seasoning is, but it creates an addictive crispy glaze!! YUM!!
The staff went above and beyond to accommodate to our picky children and anything we needed was provided without question. They were kinda busy which is understandable because everything was amazing! Our server Lexi and the manager Brandon were amazing. The food was so fresh and you could tell just by looking at it. The burgers were great but I highly recommend the pizza!!!!! I ordered a burger but couldn't keep my hands off the pizza! If you're ever in Port Aransas or in the area it is worth the drive!!!!
Good food and decent service (but they had just hit a rush). The wait staff is friendly and we got our food as soon as the kitchen had it ready, though they got half our party's order ready about 20 minutes before the other half. Cheese burger pizza and the pizza burger were both pretty good, but the cheese bites were really good.
The pizza was terrible. Chef boyardee. But the wings were great. Enough for me to come back. Avoid the shrimp, avoid the pizza, but the wings were great.
Usually we love love love this place. The server was nice although our appetizers cane ourmt 20 min after our food. The Cabo tacos hardly had a strip of fish on there. I was sad but just ate and left. The excuse given was they were so busy with the UT game that was over by the time we arrived. Hopefully our favorite place will be back in the groove on our next trip down.
Was very dog friendly, the makers mark hamburger was excellent.
Service was good. Drinks were cold and reasonable in price. Food was tasty and appealing - but the pizza can take more time than you think. The server made it right with a discount due to the delay on pizza. Would hit it again for a quick lunch.
Neat place, the decor is fun. The staff is friendly. They have a legit pizza making set up and oven. No frozen Sysco crusts on their pies. We enjoyed the pizza, red fish, and tacos. The beer was cold, the music selection was good, and they had plenty of sports options on the TVs if that is what you are looking for. One piece of advice is to park in the lot across the street. The onsite parking is tight. We will definitely stop back by the next time we are in Port A.
Went today and wasn't very busy! Greeted with a wonderful smile from our server Amber! Service was great and the atmosphere was good. They have pool tables as well. The food was ok! I honestly didn't feel full on them. But I will be going back still the bacon wrapped chicken was good.
Great atmosphere. They've got sports on and are the only bar in town that put the audio on their system. We had the chips and salsa, which was fantastic. We added the guac and had regrets. I drank the Lorelei Seasonal on tap, a stout. It was great, everything I want from a stout. Good times, but I did remove a star since the Spurs lost! (JK, the guac could use work. Don't puree it, maybe?)
This place reminds me of Scuttlebutts in that it has a good beer selection, is laid back, has good service, good snacks, and maintains the Port A vibe. It's not as big, doesn't do as much with seafood (ex: no sushi) or happy hour, but it is a solid drinking establishment. Pool tables are in great condition and they were free.
I wanna climb the rafters and take a picture in the corvettes above the bar. Surprised nobody's had 1 too any and climbed up there. I know I would've in my 20s. Bar food but pretty good. Our service was amazing. Being in the service industry for years makes me appreciate when staff are attentive.
We both had the fried shrimp basket with onion rings. Everything was super crunch and delicious! The rings were a little greasy though. I was disappointed that we were charged for them even though we were told that we could substitute them for the fries for no additional charge. Despite that, we will return as everything else was great. It's a sports bar so the staff happily changed the TV to the football game for us. The staff was attentive and nice. The music was low enough that we could have a conversation without yelling. Parking can be difficult if you have a larger vehicle as we do but there is better parking just across the street. We visit Port A frequently and have eaten at almost all local restaurants. We plan to return to Stingray's!
Looking for lunch on a rainy beach day and walked into this place. Quaint atmosphere with a good selection of beer on tap. The bartender, Christy, was funny and engaging. The spicy Bloody Mary was delish. The Buffalo Shrimp was good but took a long time to be brought out. Great location, right by the beach. Would I return? For another Bloody Mary - yes!
So, yesterday was my daughter's 18th bday, and it was also our first time in Port A.. We ordered to go as it was only 5of us. All I'm going to say is. I Give A HUGE SHOUT OUT TO CHRISTY, SHE WAS BEYOND SO SWEET AND DID HER BEST THAT DAY. TO BE HONEST, I MAY NOT EVER GO BACK ONLY TO SAY HI TO HER AND GIVE HER A HUG. GOD BLESS YOU. 💙🫂🙏
The food was great! The place definitely seemed understaffed because the kitchen couldn’t keep up with the orders. We waited 40 minutes for our food and most of it was just appetizers. The waitresses were overwhelmed which brought down the vibe a little bit. Still a cool place just be prepared to wait.
Insanely busy when we went and extremely short staffed. Everything overall did run slow. That being said, sign on door warned they were understaffed. But our server was friendly enough. The food was spot on and perfect. It was worth the wait. We had the Buffalo shrimp and burgers. SO GOOD Update edit. I had to drop it down to 3 stars. We are vacationers and always come here but our last visit here was not pleasant. My husband came in before 5 on Saturday just to be barked at that they weren't serving food. I joined him later on and we had a couple beers and watched the game. He is very easy going and the abrupt rudeness was unnecessary. Buy hey, it's ok, there are plenty of other gigs in town with very friendly people who treat you nice.
first of all drinks were amazing vibes were great expect the one main part of a damn restaurant (food ) it was not good at all the only reason why i even had somewhat a good time was because of the drinks and only the drinks. the server was amazing but the manger was a goober ! !!!!
We go here often, everytime we are in town. In December we had a terrible waitress. We had to tell her a couple times what our drink and food order was. She forgot to put the food order in even. We chalked that all up to maybe she was a new waitress. We just left there and most likely won't be back. We waited 13 minutes for anyone to even come get our drink order. One of the owners was right behind us watching the race and didn't seem too worried that we weren't being waited on. When the waitress finally came, it was the same one from December. We gave our order for two beers, and buffalo shrimp bites. Another table sat next to us and had their drink order before we even had been waited on. 5 minutes later the waitress came back and she asked what we ordered. She didn't remember any of it! She's obviously not new anymore. She did mention that they had a memorial service yesterday and they were all still grieving. While I appreciate losing someone that means a lot to you, maybe you shouldn't be at work. It was presented to us as an excuse for the bad service which was not right. Close down for 2 days then. While the food is priced high (all over the island is high), it's usually good. But the service stinks! We very seldom tip less than 20% and spend plenty whenever we go... It's just so disappointing. We'd love to spend our money there, but only when the service is better. We went down the street where they gladly accepted our money, and the service was better.
The drinks were awful and took forever to get our food (which was good!) We had 2 appetizers… we come here every summer and our 2nd time to visit this place. We will not be back again!
If it wasn't for the chicken bites and great beer prices I wouldn't come here. The service is horrible. On several occasions a certain male waiter is always inconvenienced when he has to wait on us. On other occasions, we swore the waitress had forgotten about us. This is a fun place to watch the game or bring the kids to play outside but really could be better.
Stopped in while in town for work and decided to check this place out. Cold and rainy evening, stood in the entrance for 10 minutes and nobody came to seat or greet me. Food looked great in the photos posted by other diners. Perhaps next time I’m visiting town they’ll be a more interested in seating their customers
Very friendly waitresses, but very slow food service. Got seated with no wait, but then waited 40 minutes on hard wooden stools, for very simple food!!! Kid’s menu limited. Kids grilled cheese was fake American cheese that didn’t even melt. Kids wouldn’t even eat it! Frozen crinkle fries were hot and fresh. Red Fish was decent. Over priced for nothing special!
We stopped in for a bite to eat. The staff was very under performing. We waited for 15 minutes before our waitress came and brought us menu's, just my wife and me. The food was alright. I've never been served u peel em shrimp with seasoning on the shell, kind of weird. My burger was alright nothing spectacular. The bacon wrapped chicken bites were good. My biggest complaint was that the ibus staff were fighting with each of for the patrons to see. Not good for any business. I know the locals like this establishment but we will never go back.
Upon walking in we were told to sit where ever we'd like. It was just a party of 2 but it took about 15 minutes and me having to ask for drinks to get service. The buffalo oysters were great. Both the shrimp and the burger were decent but nothing better than average. Could have just been an off day.
Onion rings over cooked, no flavor hamburger wait staff petting dogs then serving food. Last week ordered nachos hardly had any cheese.Must have new cooks this year.
The food was good. The bar was awesome for watching college football. Unfortunately for us Texas Tech fans we showed up on a day when the place was overtaken with UT longhorn fans. The blackened red fish was delicious, but the fries like frozen you buy from the grocery store. The drinks were good and 2 dollar draft beer. People were friendly but really disorganized. I ordered Blue Curacco margarita and was given a Miami Vice and charged for it. Because it was so long to get the wait staff to the table we just paid for it and decreased our tip. The chips and Queso was really good but too spicy for my liking. My hubby loved it as he likes really spicey hot food.
Nice sized sports bar with PUH-lenty of nice TVs. The place was PACKED on a late college football Saturday afternoon. It’s not a bad place, but it was hot inside (probably due to the amount of people) and quite noisy. They have an outside patio that’s dog friendly. They have a full bar and quite a large list of beer on draft and in bottles, but most of them are from the big breweries. There’s a small handful of microbrews, but not many. Although I didn’t eat there, the food menu looked like a bit of a step above from the usual sports bar. If it wasn’t so hot in there, I probably would have eaten there. The reason I chose this place for a cold brew was because of their happy hour specials listed on their website. Thursday 4 PM – 6 PM Friday, Saturday & Sunday 3 PM – 6 PM $1 Off Draft Beer $3 Well Drinks | $3 House Wine However, after receiving my bill, I was charged full price. I inquired with the server, who had to speak to a manager. The manager explained that the info on the website was outdated and needed to be taken down. He also explained that the all you can eat rib Thursday special was no longer good and needed to be taken down. He said it had been mentioned to the owner several times, but to no avail. Regardless, the manager gave us the happy hour prices for our drinks and we were on our way. It’s a nice place, so I’ll check in on them again in the future and see if their cooling problems have been resolved. Just don’t put any trust in the specials you see listed on their website. I just checked and the misinformation is still listed there.
The food was excellent, once it arrived. However, our server was terrible. When we arrived, he told us to sit anywhere and then he disappeared. We had no menus or any contact for 10 minutes. Other patrons arrived, and the server got them menus and seated them and took their drink orders. At this point, I got up and went and got menus for our table myself. After the server got drinks for the other table and seated and took drink orders for two more tables, he finally came to take our order. We then waited 45 minutes for our food. At one point he brought a pizza rack to our table, but we hadn't ordered pizza. When I moved the pizza rack out of the way, he came and took it, acknowledging that we didn't get pizza.I suspect that he didn't put our correct order in until after the pizza rack incident. Several tables came in after us and got their drinks, food, ate and left before our food arrived. We ordered chicken street tacos and chicken Philly steak sandwich.
Pizza needs work. Way too much cheese, couldn't taste the sauce. It appears that they use frozen crust also. I suggest they improve all of their pizza ingredients to match the fine pizza oven they had built. I recognized the oven manufacturer...
I’ve given this place two chances but won’t ever return. Let me preface this review by acknowledging that it’s always been difficult for restaurants to properly staff their establishments in Port A. This is especially true during the offseason, so if you go between Christmas and New Year, expect that some places will be struggling to meet the holiday rush. It took about 45 min. to get our food, and our server was obviously overworked, but I don’t hold this against the restaurant. Our server did her absolute best under the circumstances. The food is a major disappointment. We ordered chips and salsa as a starter. The salsa was the worst I’d ever had. It tasted like marinara sauce with a little salsa mixed in. The pizzas were also below average. The crusts taste as if they are premade and frozen. Even the sauce was bland. Other entrees were equally subpar. It’s too bad. This place has lots potential. The atmosphere is cool, with TVs for sports, pool tables, and 2 real Corvette Stingrays over the bar. The beer was good and cold.
So I understand when you have a large party and you say yes I know I have to wait a hour I have no problem with it. But when you split our group and say you can't separate the ticket so tell me you are getting double gratuity and there is a perfectly good table outside that we we're ok with.... hummmmm not happy with this...
Super long wait for the food. The appetizer was never placed, the kids cheese burger was burnt. The fries tasted like really old oil. Ordered the wings which were on special but they were delayed so long that everyone else at the table was finished with their meals before the wings were even finished cooking. Tried the Parmesan herb wings and the wings tasted bland, oily, and no Parmesan. The check also had the wings at full price and not the special price. So many little things made this place one to avoid and never try again.
Tried to phone in a carryout order at 6 pm on a Friday. The phone rep had to go "ask the kitchen" if we could place an order. After they returned, they refused to take our order because they were busy. Can't even place an order?? Not a good way to run a business.. Don't waste your time waiting here.
We’ve been coming here for years and have never had service as bad as we did yesterday. We waited on our drinks for 30 minutes and only received them once we asked where they were. Once the waiter finally came back by, we had to ask if we could go ahead and order, otherwise he was just going to keep ignoring us. We waited over an hour and a half on our food. The “food” in question was onion rings, a chili dog, chicken tenders, and a salad. Nothing crazy. We received EIGHT onion rings, that cost $10, a cold chili dog that tasted like it had been in the same water for days, the chicken tenders tasted and smelled like old fish, and the ranch on the salad was more than likely rancid judging by the taste and smell of it. Had the place been busy we would have been a little more understanding. We took one bite of our food, paid our $100 bill, and left for good.
The food was the worst I've had in years. Unbelievably bad. Not because it was busy or someone messed up. Nope, just by the recipe, TERRIBLE. When the upcharge for onion rings was $3 I knew we were in trouble, but I figured at least it would be edible. As hungry as we were from a day at the beach, a couple bites was all we could manage. Never again, absolutely never again. The buffalo shrimp were swimming in sauce, five times as much sauce as you would need. And then again with the Maker's Mark burger, but so much worse. We got pizza and a few other things, the artichoke dip was edible because I guess there's no way to burger that by putting sauce on it. Considering how much work goes into establishing a business and running a restaurant you would think having food that is at least on par with banquet frozen dinners would be an idea, but it does not appear this has been the case. The waitress was nice though. But not nice enough to tell us to flee the moment she saw our faces, which would have been appropriate considering how nauseating the food is. I'm done. This place is terrible. Don't go. Don't even look at pictures of it. I'm probably too late. Clear your cache! Ahh!
We sat down, had to order drinks from the bar because our waitress was busy. We sat there for about an hour, but she never came by our table again. So we left. Also, the lemon martini was like drinking straight lemon juice. Terrible
No plate served with dinner. Served on tin pan with paper. Red fish was so so. Wanted 3% surcharge paying using credit card. Gave them $100 bill, took 20 minutes to scrounge my change in fives and ones.
The service and hospitality was poor. The food was very mediocre. The cocktails were barely drinkable. I've never had an old fashioned that looked like a whiskey and coke and tasted like bitters and simple syrup, and wasn't even served with an orange twist and cherries. Don't bother eating at this unfriendly, overpriced dive. There are many more good restaurants in and around Port Aransas.
We walked in after closing without anyone telling us. There were no hours posted on the doors or anywhere visible. I realized when I googled their hours that they were closed and I mentioned it to my group. A child of the wait staff overheard confirmed they were closed and a waiter goes “THANK YOU!” So rude, we had no idea. Please teach your employees to be better people and post your hours in a visible place. Super rude, I won’t be back. We didn’t mean to impose on closing time.
Knowing this place was pet friendly so took my family, when arriving we were told a there was a wait because the pet friendly table was occupied at the time. Since we had dog We didn’t mind waiting. Mean while waiting near by enjoying a beer from the bar the occupied table did not have a friendly dog and was barking and acting out at others walking by including us. The worker at bar gave us bad service and the wait time was extended. There was favoritism to the barking loud dog family verses a family with a non barking dog. Very disappointed in this pet friendly location. The change to their personnel needs attention. We picked up and just left after waiting for over an hour.
Googled their menu, called to order and half the items were no longer available. We ordered the pulled pork tacos, pizza, fried pickles and cheese curds. They said it would take 45 minutes which was no problem. Arrived 5 min early and took me 5 min to get home. The food was cold and I mean stone cold and pizza was horrible. I ate half a piece and threw the whole pizza away. My grandson even took a bite and did not like it. I thought the bill was expensive so I went to their website to get the current menu and price, since I was not given a receipt. I added everything up and added the tax and I was overcharged. Between the cold and terrible pizza and cold food what the waitress did is what made me furious. I gave her the money and she put it in her apron and did not offer me my change. I stood there for a minute and just shook my head grabbed my food and walked out. We are in town visiting family. They told me they have been there and was not pleased with the food as well. Never again.
Just left there. Ordered 1 appetizer & 2 burgers. Got the app, it was very good. Then 40 min later we were sitting beside the kitchen pick up window. Saw when our sandwiches came up. Our waitress took additional food out and ours sat for 10 minutes. Then the kitchen staff lied about when it went into the window. The fries were soggy and the lettuce wilted from sitting under the lamp. The waitress lied and so did the kitchen staff. I ordered a water and waited a long time for it also. The manager did take the burgers off the bill, we didn’t touch them. Left cash for the drink and appetizer we had. Loved this place before. But, this was bad, to be lied to. 2 other waitresses touched our food plates, & could not be bothered to hand it to us. They really need better training. Lazy doesn’t cut it in this economy! Hard earned money. Our waitress was nice, but being lied to doesn’t sit well with me.
Seemed like a nice place however after being seated with no menu, we waited 10 minutes or more still with no menus, no wait staff no... nothing and the time dragged on. Pool tables looked nice, bar looked nice but wait staff was awful. I would go on about how bad the service was but I really can't because we didn't get any. Eventually we got up and left at which point someone noticed we had not had any service, followed us out the door assuming we were skipping on a check and was quite rude about it... and after a huffy explanation by me they finally offered to get us menus. Just not worth it. The absence of service, the rude staff... no... just, no. Can't talk much about the food, etc. but, if you are in Port A, there are plenty of other places that will actually take the time to acknowledge you. Over a 4 day trip, this was our only bad experience. Strongly recommend going somewhere else.
Absolutely horrible service, waited for our food for an hour and a half before we decided to leave, however my mom did get her side dish of fried mushrooms so my father stayed to pay for that while the 5 of us left to wait in car, and “coincidentally” as soon as we left they brought our food out. They are extremely understaff and unorganized. When my father came out the hostess/waitress dare say “you won’t find any great food anywhere else but here” to my father. Food matters but not just that but people’s time matters too. Don’t come unless you really don’t mind a hour and a half wait.
We walked out because they refused to turn the tv volume down! They said it was for the football game and management required them to keep it loud for the customers. The problem as we see it was….we were the only customers in the place.
AWFUL SERVICE!!!!!!!! The hostess whom ended up being our server was demeaning and rude. The food was disgusting. The only thing worth my money was the sweet tea and the $2 Landshark Pint. I understand it is a bar but still....$24 for an specialty pizza that not only was disgustingly greasy, burnt and flavorless(Philly cheese steak pizza) the meat felt like over fried wires and tasted like cardboard. Then, it took over 20 minutes just to get a sweet tea refilled, after they asked what we needed. I ordered a Caribbean Paradise Drink $8, and they charged me for a Piña Colada $10....when I brought it up to the hostess/server she said, I will not lose your business for $2, not that I am trying to school you, simply the menu prices have not been updated. After waiting for 30 minutes to get a to go box, we just got up and got it on our own. My thought, this place lost my business not because of prices but because of the quality of the food and awful rude service. Not worth the stress, vacay time much less my money.
Don’t give a lot of 1 stars, but this place would not put on the Astros game during the playoffs because they only wanted NFL. There were several TVs and only wanted 1 TV. We left and won’t go back. No business sense.
They had empty tables but wouldn't seat us. Was told the food is great but we didn't get tontry it. Ended up driving allbthe way bsck to our usual spot near Corpus.
