I will always drive a distance for great food and this is one such place I visited last evening, a suburban gem and music venue that was so worth the drive. Their Chef worked at a Michelin star restaurant before. Get their chestnut soup and lobster! Don’t miss that squash salad! Pumpkin brûlée too!

Cozy, friendly, great acoustics. Had a wonderful time, listening to old friends from Nashville, Goldpine. Met the Burney Sisters, they were great too.

Go here! My family and I had an amazing experience at here. The lobster hush puppies, beet salad, wagyu steak with chimichurri, hey nonny cheeseburger and pan-seared salmon were all outstanding. Service was warm and attentive (special thanks to GM Ken for stopping by!), and the live music made the evening even better. Highly recommend for great food, great vibes, and a memorable night out!

Absolutely loved our experience here! The Christmas decor was so festive — it truly set the perfect holiday mood. The atmosphere was cozy yet lively, with live music that added a special charm, along with Christmas movies and games projected on the wall. We tried the chickpea cauliflower hummus, and it was incredible! Such a unique flavor that was both delicious and memorable. The French fries were amazing too — crispy, perfectly seasoned, and so satisfying. The drinks were fantastic as well, crafted perfectly to complement the vibe. It was the ideal spot for a late-night date with drinks, snacks, and great music. We had an unforgettable time and can’t wait to visit again. Highly recommend

Great food with GF and LF options. The music from the adjacent room gets a bit too loud when the doors open, but great place overall. Will definitely come back.

Made our way to Arlington Heights from Madison, Wisconsin to enjoy an evening of good food and a two excellent musicians at Hey Nonny. We called and were able to make a reservation for a table just hours before the show, which I'm happy we did call because the dining room filled up as showtime approached. Our meal started with the Char-Grilled Chicken Wings - I did enjoy the wings, they were done properly, but they were not the highlight of the evening. For my main course I ordered the Arugula Salad and Michigan Sweet Potato Bisque. I ended up sharing with my wife who ordered the Seared Sea Scallops. All three main dishes were excellent. The sweet potato bisque was very rich yet craveable and I was happy to share. Our daughter loves steak and happily finished off her Steak Frites - a very nice cut cooked to her request. We all shared (well, our daughter allowed us a few bites) of red velvet cake, simply delicious. We finished our evening with great seats to watch Joshua Davis and Luke Winslow-King, a fantastic show. The room is intimate with great sound and lighting. All night the service was spot on, a job well done. Hey Nonny comes with my highest recommendation as a top restaurant and music venue in Arlington Heights.

Great room for live music in an intimate, up close setting. Sound, staff, food and cocktails are all top notch! Great Venue!

Hey Nonny has a great Saturday and Sunday brunch, paired with great music makes for a fantastic start of the weekend. We've been here for two Sunday Brunches and they have been delicious! The food is great, the service is great, the music is great! What more could you need? The venue is really neat how the wall behind the bar shuts for shows. Overall, a really great and unique restaraunt, I highly recommend!

One of the best places I’ve eaten. The meals was so well-prepared and beautifully presented. It's clear Chef Noe put a lot of effort and skill into it

Hey Nonny is an awesome new live music venue right in downtown Arlington Heights! The owners did a fabulous job building out both the pub and the music room - this place is classy. The best thing is that they are bringing in a wide variety of music - people with real talent - musicians you might find in Nashville or Austin, TX. There is no place like this in the northwest suburbs. If you like live music, check this place out!

Went in for a live show during the weekday. A very busy place. The live music was amazing and the room for it had its own bar and you could order food and drinks in some areas.

Great listening venue. A place to really listen to musicians in an intimate setting. Not a bar where the noise of people's conversations compete with the musicians. Owners are on top of treating their customers to a top notch experience. Menu choices are really fresh.

We liked the restaurant. The food was good. The waiter was attentive. We enjoyed the live music. The bar had muted sports on TV.

Got there 20 minutes before Paul Marinaro’s performance and got a “standing-only” ticket. Lesson learned- buy online in advance. One of my friends let me have her seat so I could eat my delicious beat salad with scallops. My only complaint is that the diet coke was flat. Overall, a lovely evening.

First visit date nite at the bar, great ambiance, cool bartenders, and the local food is delicious & clean. Next brought Mom & Dad - easy to make reservation on Google, along with great food and service again. Lol my family is particular with our plates, and Ken did a great job accommodating. A passer by happened to be my aunt, and I brought her in, found out it was her birthday, and Ken brought us cake! So cool, highly recommend, and will go for the music one evening. Another gem in Downtown Arlington!

First time dining at Nonny. Service was top notch but let's talk about the food!! So many gluten/ dairy free options and everything was more delicious than I could have imagined. All 4 of us cleared our plates. The chef came out to talk to us and was also so kind. He is incredible! Such a great night!

The winning combination of Cuisine, Entertainment and Service. The food is fantastic and there are always unique, tasty specials. The entertainment is 2nd to none as well. More than anything, The Hands-on-Owners, Managers, Servers and Chef make the dining experience fun, relaxing and flavorful. An Arlington Heights "Must"!

Absolutely excellent place for live music and food. The new menu is great, and I highly recommend the salmon, gnocchi, and lemon pudding. The music venue has great sound, a good number of seats, and feels very cozy without being crowded. The service we received was also excellent, special thanks to Chip and Luke! Overall, this place is just excellent. We can't wait to come back.

What a great venue! We saw the "Mother of all Cabarets." It was a really fun show with 5 outstanding voices. In fact, we have only seen great shows there. Intimate room. Really special cocktails. Overall fantastic night! (We hope to see the 5 singers again there soon.)

We were long time patrons of hey nonny when they did bottomless brunch during covid. We loved this restaurant so very much. Once they discontinued bottomless brunch we had to deal with the heartbreak which we eventually were able to move on from. We visited hey nonny for dinner this evening, after hearing wonderful things from other locals and we were so impressed. Not only was the service wonderful, but the presentation and food was so delicious! I started with an espresso martini which was one of the best I’ve had. They use rum instead of vodka but you just have to trust it!!! We got the focaccia app along with the chorizo meatballs. We also got the beet salad which was delicious. Our mains were the wagyu sirloin and shrimp risotto and sorbet for dessert. The mashed potatoes with the steak were literally unbelievable. The orange zest on the risotto was so unique and good! We had a wonderful dinner. Their limited menu ensures that all of the food is made completely fresh and there is clearly a lot of time spent making an appealing presentation of the dishes. The servers and staff are really passionate about ensuring you have a great experience while you are there. Arguably, one of the nicest food choices in DTAH right now!! We will definitely be back!

We were there this evening and everything was perfect! It was a lovely night, music in the background and downtown Arlington Heights was very lively with music playing, twinkling lights around the trees and a very vibrant scene. I ordered the lobster risotto, something I order whenever it's on any menu. This was the best I've ever had!!!! It was so creamy and a very generous portion! I loved that the chef/owner came around to our table so we could praise him! It was a perfect evening highlighted by a truly suburb meal.

One of our favorite places for live music. It's the best because they emphasize the listening experience of the musicians.

We LOVED the chef's table dinner! From the time we walked in, the whole staff made us feel special. Chef Noe came out right away to get a feel for what we wanted the meal to be about. "I'm not here to make decisions" :) and we let him have full reign. From the starter soup, to the apps, main (a sampler platter!), and dessert, everything was fantastic. Chef & our server stopped by enough times to be attentive, but not so much that we felt interrupted. The wine pairing was spot on too. Chef Noe is so energetic and excited about his food, which makes it even more fun. Highly recommend the experience!

I was here for two different shows recently and had a lovely time. I had been in contact with Patricia who was nothing short of kind and caring. My husband and I enjoyed a delicious dinner before a Friday night show and it was absolutely delightful. We will be back for dinner and drinks very soon. When it was time to go into the concerts, a nice man (didn’t catch his name) checked us in on an iPad and showed us to our table. What a great venue and restaurant. Thank you!!

The food has really leveled up since the new chef arrived. The ambiance is warm and inviting, and the menu offers an impressive variety of dishes. I especially loved the brisket lasagna — it was outstanding.

What a gem in the heart of Arlington Heights! This music venue and gourmet kitchen is ran by an outstanding husband-wife duo who are truly dedicated to the community and its social infrastructure. The entertainment line-ups are great and supportive of the smaller mom and pop bands. They are creative with the food as well and I look forward to going again. I highly recommend joining their Nonny Club membership with it's great perks. Doing so will get you into more music styles as well. Cheers to Hey Nonny and much success!

The music venue was really nice. It's pretty small so there didn't seem to be a bad seat in the place. We were literally on the edge of the stage. We saw Anna Nalick and she was awesome!!! I did order a mixed drink which was on the expensive side ($14) but it was huge and pretty strong so they didn't skimp on the alcohol. We ordered the calamari and did not like it at all. The pieces were tiny and greasy and hey had some sort of sauce squirted on them. It reminded me of the zesty sauce from Burger King. I told the waiter and he did offer to replace them without the sauce but i chose not to. I did stop one of the owners and told him about the calamari and he just dismissed me saying how most people liked it and then he walked away. Since we didn't eat it I wish they didn't charge me for it. They were about $17? Anyway, worth it for the music but not sure about anything else..

very exotic food and drinks… loved the street side vibes… didn’t experience the live music… i wish if there were more dishes on the menu

Food I did not try yet. Great atmosphere, great bands.

Bustling main dining room with decent options for food, but nothing noteworthy. For the fine dining price you'd pay for a $20 cheeseburger you are better off going to Portillos or The Assembly in Hoffman Estates. Did not check out the music venue, but that's likely the only reason I'd come back.

L

Nice place. Food was good. I was expecting more bar type food. Should have checked the menu before hand. Parking sucks, but that is not the fault of the restaurant. There was no live music while we were there. Piped in music was very loud, but they did turn it down so we could talk.

N
Nicole McIntyre

The food and drinks were okay. The area for the live music was cool. Don't talk during a song.

We had such a good time last week at the Kelly Hunt show. Our server was great, she was very helpful in making a gluten free substitution on the charcuterie board. I really enjoyed my praline old fashioned. I'm not sure what gluten free bread they used, but it was delicious and it's hard to find good GF bread. However, I am not happy that I have to leave this review. When we got to the show the seats we bought online were a little to close to the stage for my comfort. I asked if we could switch seats, and the door guy told us we could pick out pretty much any other seat since the show was not sold out. However he did not tell us that we would be charged for another pair of tickets and a $11 "convenience fee". That came to an extra $60 ish dollars for just moving two seats to the right. Let me repeat, Hey Nonny charged us over $60 to switch seats. If that is their policy, then we should of been informed of that when I asked to move over and I wouldn't have done so. My husband went over to the venue today to talk to the manager about the second set of tickets on our bill and he was told that it's "their policy" and there is nothing they would do about it. Despite wanting to go back to the restaurant for the really good gluten free food, which by the way is not easy to find at a non chain restaurant in this area I won't come back since we were ridiculously charged at the venue. I feel very ripped off.

Wagu was overcooked and tasted like it was made with choice, seems like they tried to hide this with the "pureed potatoes" which overwhelmed the flavor of the steak. service was slow and the wait staff had to be flagged down. They ran out of one of the desserts before 7. The appetizers were better than the entrees. Worth going during happy hour to try the appetizers but I would pass on getting dinner there.

I have been going here for years. I have celiac and have to be gluten free. It has been my go to. I was extremely disappointed to learn when i was there on 6/17/25 that there is a new chef. As a result, there is no longer a separate fryer for the French fries and the servers were not as knowledgeable about gluten free options. I did not feel as safe ordering or as comfortable as i have in the past with eating out there. Truly upset to loose this place as a reliable option for good, safe food and one place where someone with celiac could actually have French fries out at a restaurant.

J
Jon

Cool concert venue. Had to knock off 2 stars for the guy hosting. He doesn't understand hospitality.

A
AAR Setup

I do not write poor reviews without a fair reason. Online reviews suggested a good vantage point from all cabaret seats, so we selected the only table that still had four available seats, front-row left. Our view was completely blocked by the piano; 2 of our group could see most of the stage, 2 could see the back of the piano player. I get the concept of obstructed views, but STATE it before I spend my money (and a $7 surcharge PER ticket) to drive to a new venue. Live and learn.

K
Kris Kinahan

If you are going to sell overpriced tickets, she then add a $7 surcharge per ticket... you might want to mention the obstructed view. If you don't, expect this review. Brought the in-laws, thought front-row would be good...not the case. Very disappointed.

T
TOM KARIJOLICH

Weird. New chef so we thought to give hey nonny another try. Service was poor. I had shrimp and risotto which was ok but plate was messy and not put together well. Wife had a salad which was a pile of butter lettuce , once again just a pile of lettuce which was difficult to eat. Disappointed with the service and food presentation. Great music venue, but food is lacking.

K
Kenneth Share

Very very unfriendly staff. I am ADA handicapped. They do not have an ADA handicap section which I believe is required by law and when I try to sit down in an open seat they wanted to charge me 12 extra dollars even though I am ADA handicap and there was open seating
