Opinions de PastaMasta Arlington
We popped in to this restaurant because we wanted to eat before we visited a local escape room. We had a taste for Italian and decided to give Pasta Masta a try. It was crazy how much to go business they were doing. Overall, it was a little pricey for a family of five but we didn't have buyers remorse because the portions were large, the flavors were good, and the owner was a nice guy.
My food was delicious, definitely 10 out of 10. It’s just really warm in there, the bread sticks could be cooked a little longer and the sweet tea had a weird, chalky and coffee taste to it. Like the container it brewed in wasn’t cleaned out. Maybe it’s just me, but I didn’t like the sweet tea. But this place really great for building your own pasta. I’ll just do take out next time!
The place focuses on takeout, so there wasn't really that many people in the restaurant, it was quite peaceful as a result. For some reason their delivery options don't seem to be active when they are open, which can be annoying. They had a decent selection of sauces, veggies, pastas (even gluten free!), garnishes, and the other add ons. They also had a decent selection of condiments for the food like salt, pepper, hot sauces, etc. The bathrooms were clean and so was the dining area. The cooks were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I do wish that the pasta dishes for dining in were not the same plastic containers they use for takeout; I think about the dubious reaction between the hot pasta in a plastic tub and it makes me want a real plate and real silverware. Overall, there were more hits than misses with this place and I was satisfied with my visit.
This Pasta Masta is located in the Seville Commons shopping mall, between Chipotle and Subway. If you recall, a Pie Five was in the same location prior to PM, but closed not long after Blaze Pizza came in up the street. Pasta Masta is open 10-9. They offered two kiosks for ordering on the wall to the left of the entry. There is what appears to be a corral to guide you to the front of the restaurant to order from an employee, but there were boxes blocking the path. I’m assuming that’s there intentionally to block you from going that way? The venue appeared slightly unkept in the dining area, which attribute to pandemic response. The fountain drink station was still self-serve and the employee working was not wearing any PPE. I opted for the kiosk ordering method, which made me wonder if they offer an app to order from as well. Since I was there, I decided to give it a try. Mid-way through, the pasta I was ordering seemed to be a bit much so I cancelled it out and decided to go with a “fan fave.” The food was not what I was hoping for, I’d say a step below Olive Garden. My Cajun Chicken Alfredo was overly salty but had the perfect amount of Alfredo sauce. The chicken was bland and tasted as though it was boiled without seasoning, I believe I heard a microwave beep as it was being prepared? I also ordered a Ceasar side salad, which did not come with dressing. I backed out of that order as well because I was thinking the $1.00 for dressing meant it was extra, but the dressing is a required selection. I didn’t really get why they had a $3 salad with a required $1 dressing. Why not just make it a $4 Ceasar salad? The gentleman working was very nice, welcomed me into the store and let me know when he was working on my order. They were not busy at all when I came in around 6pm, but he appeared to be working by himself. From greeting to “come back and see us,” the process took about 10 minutes, which was great! All in all, I would give this place another try because I enjoy pasta. I just felt like the quality was not where it needed to be at the price point it was sold.
My second time here and the food was delicious. I went for the fettuccine with chicken, Italian sausage, mushrooms, and chopped basil. Was great. When I read other peoples reviews, I do a little more research; It seems like a lot more bad reviews are left by people who either have 1 or 2 reviews or they are just not very happy people and leave bad reviews everywhere they go, sort of a power trip for them I guess???? Well, this place was good again, food, staff was nice and place was clean. You have so many choices with the menus as far as toppings. Check em out!
First time here and was in a bit of a hurry so I asked how long does the food take to prepare and I received a bit of an attitude and the response was I don't know what you want. I decided to get the shrimp Alfredo and it was quick. I was outta there in 5 mins. Then I started eating my food and the fettuccine was actually not bad BUT I tried the shrimp and it tasted like it's been sitting out and had a side taste. I honestly couldn't eat the rest of the meal because the smell from shrimp ruined it. I don't want to leave a bad review but honestly shrimp doesn't take that long to prepare so it shouldn't be sitting at that temp for longer than 2 hours. Please take this as constructive criticism because someone can get sick.
Good portion and the food was hot. So for the price it’s okay! I ordered the Cajun pasta with chicken, spinach, andouille sausage. If you’re looking for a quick bite then cool. However, if you want something tasteful and savory then no. The “cajun” sauce taste like they just sprinkled some Louisiana hot sauce in it. No seasoning! The sausages are boiled and chewy. They aren’t pan fried. The chicken is chicken and the spinach is spinach. Nothing to rave about. I’ll try it again but something different. If that’s not good then on to the next food spot.
The idea of this place is phenomenal, a Chipotle-style noodle house. However, the execution, not so much…As of right now, at least at this location, they are only doing online orders. You cant order inside or anything. The place looked clean but I am pretty sure the floors were filthy. When I walked, it sounded like the floor aisle of a movie theater. Unfortunately, they only have Pepsi products. That aside, ordering online was easy, and it didn't take long to get the food. Surprisingly the noodles weren't overcooked, but the chicken was very overcooked, and it wasn't cooked—some of the pieces needed to be cut better. The alfredo needed salt and pepper; in fact, it was very bland, to be honest. I got the pesto cream sauce, and it wasn't bad, but that also wasn't impressive once I added parsley, the combination gave it a pho flavor. The portions were good sized and with almost everything you want to add being ala cart it better be. Id give this place another go, but I don't have hope that the food will be any better.
This listing is for the wrong location. The photo shows the location in arlington, I couldnt find the grand prairie location. Even on their official website when you click the link to the grand prairie location it sends you to the online ordering page for arlington. The arlington location isnt even listed on google maps anymore, despite all the pictures on here being of it. When I've eaten at the arlington location in the past I really enjoyed the food and how customizable it is, but theres not going to be any buisness if no one can find where it is :(
The guys working were very friendly and food was ready quick and nice and hot. I wish I could say the chicken Alfredo I ordered was good or even great but honestly it was some of the worst I’ve ever had. The chicken tasted like it was out of a can, the flavor of the sauce was almost imperceptible it was so bland. The Dr Pepper I got was flat and watered down. Basically the only thing I ate of my meal was the salad. Sorry guys I wouldn’t recommend, at least not this meal.
One word NASTY, why is this place even open! The pasta is overcooked, the sauce isn’t saucing! You might as well go to Olive Garden! This place is pure NASTY! This place needs to revise and change their menu! It’s disgusting! Please don’t waste your time or money ordering this food.
This company has a great concept of a build your own pasta bowls, the restaurant itself for the most part was clean but it was extremely hot in there, they also had random kitchen equipment placed in the dining area, but this food was absolutely horrible, it had absolutely no flavor, it was just bland, mushy , slop, && the veggies are extremely undercooked , and the staff was not so helpful either, it was my first time here and I asked a simple question(“are the meatballs homemade””) and they acted as if was bothering them, one gentleman man walked off to the back and looked at me in disgust && the older gentleman told me “”you chefs think that your god gift to food”” && he proceeds to walk off…! I currently own my own restaurant &&I do private catering && I will make sure to let folks know to avoid this place
I’ve ordered from here twice now and both times ive ordered the food i was received was incorrect. Tonight i ordered tortellini with sausage mushroom and onion and instead i received it with crawfish, peas, spinach, squash and bell peppers. It was very disappointing I dont think i’ll be ordering from here again
This place is disgusting and the owner/manager is rude. I got a Cajun Alfredo Sauce and it was awful. I called to let him know that it didn’t taste right and he said ok if you don’t like it I cant do anything about that. I think that caring about the customers would go a long way but I see why there is never a line. To be honest the “andouille” taste like pepperoni and all around I would have tried him again and just used a different sauce but the customer service is so bad this place will never see me again. If I was anybody reading this just go to Olive Garden at least they care if you don’t like it lol ….and you don’t have to pay extra for the breadsticks even though it’s a pasta place. You gotta be kidding me. The best thing I can say about the food that it was hot and there was no wait but we were probably his only customers all day he was probably anxious to cook.
Food was absolutely nasty there’s no sugar coating it. I could make better pasta at home as a matter of fact the pasta that my job is 10x better than what we got! We got Cajun Alfredo pasta one with meatballs the other with shrimp. The pasta had no seasoning or “Cajun” to it. My meatballs tasted like school meatballs but the shrimp was decent. The breadsticks were cold, stale and tasted worst than Little Caesars. The “Homemade” cookies and brownies were stale and flavorless. A complete waste of money!! Don’t get me started on how poor the service was
