One of the best places in the metroplex for breakfast and lunch! Upon arrival you are greeted with a warm smile! You are then welcomed to seat yourself and a server quickly brings you menus and takes your drink order. I love the Skillet combo which comes with 2 eggs your way, bacon and sausage links or patty and pancakes! The sausage links are fantastic and the pancakes are the best I have had. When your food arrives be prepared for large portions! They provide generous portions of bacon and sausage. This place is family owned and run and it shows that they genuinely care about their food and their diners. You definitely want to check this place out!

Had my first texas breakfast here, and it did not disappoint. The food was fresh and delicious, I had the chicken fried steak and eggs. My wife had pancakes, eggs, and sausage patties, and it looked great. She couldn't finish the pancakes because they were massive, so I got to try some - they were fluffy and had a good chew texture if that makes sense. Will be going back.

The wife and I decided to try this place out because all the reviews. Only 6 minutes from the house it was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed every bit of our meal. It's definitely a bang for your buck with portion size out of this world. Staff was very friendly and courteous. We received our food promptly and it was hot. Hands down one of the best places I've had breakfast at in a long while.

I love this place. They're very generous with their portions yet inexpensive. I especially love "Sarah's Sauce". I am a lightweight when it comes to really spicy stuff but it is the perfect balance of heat and flavor, that's what the bottle says!! They have it on their tables and you can buy some to take home. I love it on my scrambled eggs!!

Was recommend this location by a Reddit post and boy am I glad I came here. The ladies here were nice and polite and helped me throughout the whole meal. I had the chicken fried steak and a breakfast burrito. 10/10 would eat till I need a wheelbarrow.

The Skillet Restaurant is an awesome throwback to much friendlier times. I was kinda taken back to The Minute Coffee Shop in Bridgeport Texas which is an awesome thing. Family owned and operated. The only thing missing is a vintage late 1950's chrome laden Jukebox but I am working on that. The food is absolutely awesome. This definitely gets 5 STARS from us. Pricing is very reasonable if not cheap and large portions and delicious. They stay busy guess it is no secret. I am not easy to please by any means. There are many modern places but this one has the charm of at any moment Sheriff Andy Taylor and Barney Fife could walk in the door. The place so "reeks of 1960", I love it.

Everything about this place gives you good vibes. From the banquet style building that allow you to choose your own table to the very friendly staff. This place is a must to try and the portion sizes are large.

I eat breakfast here 2x week. It's locally owned, awesome wait staff and even better food. My usual is the ham n cheese omelet plate w/hash browns, biscuits gravy for like $8. It's a ton of food for the $$ and is always hot and fresh. I've tried all the other breakfast places in the area, they aren't bad but Skillet n Grill is the best.

A friend who used to eat there when living in the area as a homeless person has introduced me to this place, and yesterday, after a delicious brunch with that friend, with OUTSTANDING service, I witnessed a very compassionate manager there provide a delicious meal for a hungry woman whose "story" they all knew. I offered to cover the cost of her meal, as my friend knew her, but they wouldn't allow it. Just hugs, compassion, a hot meal and sweet tea. You have won my business for a long time!! 🥰

The Skillet & Grill located on Division Street near Bowen Road is my go-to breakfast in Arlington. Terrific omelettes and - really - everything. My sausage and cheese omelette this morning was filled with all manner of goodness. I added a side of bacon because, well, bacon. It's a greasy spoon, diner sort of place. Staff is always friendly and attentive. The food never disappoints. We're there at least once a week. May 2021 update: Due to pandemic it had been a year since we’d been to Skillet n Grill. We’ve now been back THREE times for breakfast. Still wonderful, still friendly, still my go-to breakfast in Arlington.

A great place for breakfast. Great food, plenty of seating, great waitresses and a good value. I had the "Skillet n Grill Blanket" (biscuits with scrambled eggs, all smothered in sausage gravy. Just like you'd make at home if you could, absolutely perfect. I highly recommend this hidden gem.

The inside looks like maybe a former banquet hall of some sort. The day we went to must have been a doozy they were out of so many menu items and so many tables were still dirty. When I ordered my porkchops and then later was told they ran out i was so annoyed I decided to leave but by this time of day we felt like any other place we went to would be closed or just about to close as well so we decided to stay and boy am I glad I did. Portions are great prices are great the food was great and our waiter Omar was fantastic!!! One of the best waiters ive ever had from any restaurant. No wonder they were out of food this place is jumpin!! Yummmmmm. Will definitely return.

The food is fantastic, the staff is super wonderful, the building is beautiful...but the Acoustics is needing fixed... As a designer I recommended to Tori ( owner - who is a sweetheart) to install acoustic beams - she agreed and is very interested in sound control....or maybe dividing partition walls...her new restaurant has proved to be such a success it has a large cafeteria sound and it is really loud!!! I will drive here from Kansas again to eat here!!!! Congrats on your new location!!!

Since moving to DFW over a year ago this is our go to breakfast place! They serve almost everything you can imagine. We have since moved to the other side of Dallas but still come back. The service is always phenomenal and the prices can’t be beat. This is a great place to come with family or friends or just by yourself. The food is consistently good and the portions are large.

They were so kind when i walked in. The service was fast and easy! I ordered the skillet combo! The pancakes were so sweet I got it paired with French toast which was so fully and sweet! The biscuits were smothered with the most delicious sausage gravy. I ate my eggs with this homemade salsa created by them, and it was the most delicious sauce with so much flavor I even took my own bottle for $3! The service was impeccable. Reasonably priced.

Has a very homey and friendly atmosphere. Always great food, friendly staff, and low prices. If you want to eat under $10, there's options. Most everything is under $15, which is crazy since most places these days start at that price. They have turkey bacon, turkey sausage, and regular gravy as options if you don't eat pork.

Breakfast this morning was absolutely delicious. I had a ham and cheese omelette with hash browns. And my wife had the French toast Skillet. My coffee was kept full and even though the entire restaurant was full, staff were supporting everybody everywhere. It was very impressive. Wonderful Service great wait staff. The food portions are huge for the amount they charge which is fairly cheap. This is our new go to for Breakfast on the weekends. They are only open till 3 P.M. daily so with work schedule as a family we can only go on weekends. Would recommend this place for a nice family style breakfast restaurant. I'm boring and I get the same thing, but my bf has gotten a good variety from their menu and has rarely ever had a problem with his meal. I 110% recommend coming here for their breakfast. This is our go-to family get-together breakfast restaurant. Once we arrived, there was a sign that read "please sit yourself," so we went straight to sit ourselves. We were immediately greeted by a young lady, she took our drink order. After we received our drinks we ordered our food. I gotta say the breakfast is amazing. I was a little disappointed when I received my order and noticed the portion change. It's understandable with this inflation going on. We enjoyed our food but kept getting bothered by flies. We get it, it's summer, it's hot, and the flies want to enjoy the a/c and food to buy they're not paying, so they were unwanted guests. Overall we enjoyed our time and good so thank you!

Went this morning for breakfast on a whim and left completely satisfied. It’s a big open dining room with table and booth options. My party and I opted for a booth and it was really comfortable. The service was quick, friendly and great. When we went it was pretty busy so our food took a little longer than usual based on other reviewers service but it was totally understandable. I got the waffle combo which is a great deal. I thought it was great that I wasn’t charged extra for my substitutions I made to the combo since I don’t eat meat. The food portions are big and everything tasted great! My boyfriend got the chicken fried steak with eggs combo and said it tasted great as well. Will definitely be coming back again.

Was in Arlington and saw this place pop up with some good reviews and decided to give it a try. Got the Grill n'Stuff Omelette with bacon, ham, sausage, onions, green peppers, and cheese. Large portions and tasted ok. I don't do a lot of salt generally, but I needed to add some here. Better needing to add than having too much. The homemade spicy sauce they provide in addition to Tabasco is really tasty. They really need to do something about the flies in the dining area. Affordable & large helpings. Decent coffee. Family owned & run. Skillet used to be in an old diner on the corner of Bowen & Division. Definitely needed upgrades. Service was good, wait staff friendly. Weekends would be PACKED. Like line out the door. Also had an early morning group of people that would be there at 5 am and eat & drink coffee for a couple of hours. Kind of place you liked because it was comfortable, but you wished it looked better. Fast forward to their new location up the street. Used to be an Italian restaurant- definitely not what Skillet "feels"like. A much bigger restaurant, same menu. They open at 5 and serve comfort food basically. The servings are always huge and most of the time the food is good. I usually ask for my bacon to be extra crispy, but not burned. I have gotten every thing from still oinking to flat out burned. The cook knows he's either putting semi raw or totally burned bacon on my plate and the waitresses can see what he puts on my plate - not acceptable at all. Most of the time it's fine. If you like firm scrambled eggs, tell them you want a hard scramble, but not brown. They do well on the over medium fried eggs most of the time (far better than Crackerbarrel). I don't recommend the pancakes or waffles - too dense & not a good flavor. Omelets are massive! I usually eat breakfast there, so I have not tried any lunch items, except the BLT, which is good. Bottom line - decent comfort food, reasonable prices, large portions.

My party of 4 went on a Saturday about 11:30am. We sat ourselves immediately. And had our drink order taken by one lady who told us our order will be taken by someone else. The person who sat after us got his food before we even placed our food order. Our food came 20mins later. It was a steady trickle of tables turning. The food was very basic. The Belgian waffle is exactly like the waffles you make yourself at a hotel that offers a continental breakfast. The hashbrowns were good and cooked with a light crisp edge. The pancakes were nothing special and lacked flavor. The French toast was like eating a fried egg on toast. It didn't have the custard soak batter most French toast is supposed to consist of. The picture with the egg bits next to it was part of the French toast. It was served cold not even warm enough for the butter to melt. Overall, it's over priced, very basic, and the food was over cooked and served cold. Our total bill for 4 entrees, coffee and OJ was $50. Will not return and will not recommend.

Paid for our breakfast with a debit card, which included an 18% tip. However when my payment posted was overcharged $5. Called and talked to Susan,who found my receipt record, and confirmed with her that the tip amount on her receipt, was different from my tip amount on my receipt. So someone altered my tip amount. Was told by her if I wanted the difference back I would have to come back to the restaurant to get the difference as it cannot be credited. I will not be driving back for their incompetence, nor will I visit this establishment again.

The service is terrible. We came in and stood by the front counter for several minutes until the waitress, who was there the entire time looked up at us finally and told us that we could seat ourselves. Aside from being ignored by one waitress, we sat at our table for a few minutes before finally the other waitress working came to our table and took our order for coffee. We waited a full 5 minutes for our coffee to arrive. And when it finally was on the way to our table, this child waitress got mouthy with me about how I got up to come looking for the coffee too soon. We left and came across the street. Division Street Diner had us greeted warmly, sat at our booth, and fresh coffee in front of us in the same amount of time it took for us to be treated like garbage at Skillet & Grill. I really wanted to give this place a chance, but not at the expense of being treated poorly and given attitude by a child waitress who can't prioritize her patrons properly.

Lifelong Arlington resident, local foodie, love going out to eat. Words cannot describe how bad this place is. Filthy. Smelly. Service was bad, but the food stands out as truly terrible. Worst chicken fried steak of my life, hands down. Scrambled eggs- powdered. Orange juice watered down. I legitimately had much better cold breakfasts in the field in the Army. I wouldn’t return here if they paid me to. If you want breakfast, just go to JRs.
