Opinions de Lee's Sandwiches Artesia
Lee's never disappoints! I usually stick to the grilled or BBQ pork sandwich. The Lee's coffee is a must have also. Their bread is baked fresh on Location so it's soft and delicious.
Amazing sandwich. I've been looking for a fast food substitute and I'm so glad I found this place. I had a Turkey Club with Avocado on a baguette and it was the best sandwich I've had in years.
You can't go wrong with Lee's Sandwiches. You get decent, and somewhat americanized Banh Mi sandwich at reasonable cost. Good egg rolls and decent breads.
Great experience. We went there for the first time today and the man running the counter was so friendly and nice. We loved the sandwich we got and I love the pickled vegetables. Returning soon!!
Very nice staff. Plenty to select from. My favorite is the #6 bbq pork sandwich and their Thai tea. The bestest ever. My spouse loves their coffee. Too bad to far for me to come all the time. Which they had one closer to me.
The service quality is amazing. Was very surprising to have the cashier greet me in a very nice tone and ask if my day has been well and if she can hwlp me find an item on the menu for me to try that I haven't yet. I picked the usual item i often get when visiting any Lee's location. Jambon, headcheese, pork roll and pate. Very delicious and filling. Serverd on a 10 inch baguette and a drink for just over $5
Fast and fresh, literally I come here once a week. Decent prices. It's lee's, if you like vietnamese sandwitches you've probably come here. Their viet coffee to go is kind of expensive, but one bottle lasts at least 4-5 drinks.
On a Sunday memorial day holiday week, no customers but us entering the store and ordered our usual #11 combination sandwiches. This shop is bigger than others and looks clean. Took my chance to play the scratcher, bummer...not a winner :( Then sandwiches are ready and out the door, on our way home.... Shop for gifts @ idyliss.store
Lee's delivers great food consistently. Their Vietnamese iced coffee is the only coffee I'll drink, and I go out of my way to get it. Their baguettes are delicious but the crust on the bread is very solid and will slice your gums up. I generally prefer getting their European sandwiches on a croissant to save myself the pain and suffering, but I do enjoy their bahn mi sandwiches when I'm in the mood. The place is always clean, and I've never waited an unreasonable amount of time to get my food.

The bread was very fresh and there was plenty of meat on the sandwiches. The young man was taking orders and assisting in making orders as well. Only two people were working at the time, yet the service was fast and friendly.
The Vietnamese iced coffee here is delicious! If you have to study and need coffee definitely drink this. The Vietnamese vegetarian sandwhich is so good. I also tired their egg rolls and they were pretty good too. There is never a line when I visit. And the place and restrooms are clean.

I like Lee's- Lee Majors Bruce Lee Avena Lee and Lee's Sandwiches! Lee's Sandwiches, the reason why the banh mi sandwich is widely recognized throughout SoCal. My local Lee's is conveniently located in the 99 Ranch plaza, adjacent to Ten Ten Seafood Restaurant, Lollicup, Pho 2000 and Daiso Japan. Seating is spacious, with complimentary lemon/lime water to quench patron's thirst. Ordering is a breeze at the front, with clearly legible signage to help you decide what to order. Today's choice - Sardine sammie for me. Mmmm, omega 3's for me! The crusty bread, as expected, provides a welcome crunch with each bite. The pickled veggies offers the sour note of vinegar, with the pepper slices giving just a small touch of heat. The sardines, granted not for everyone, were relished by me. I've also had their combo sandwich, which is great, too! To top it off, cheap prices as well. The portions are decent, but I don't consider a sandwich a full meal for me. Of course, the iced coffees are quite popular and definitely try the sugar cane juice, if you haven't already. Parking can be hard to find, especially on the weekend, so you may have to find street parking on Pioneer Blvd. Cheap, delicious grub close to home. Yeah, baby, I'll be back! Highly recommend! Not a lot of banh mi places around, so this is usually my go to. Prices went up these past couple years, but sign up for fivestar rewards program and also look out for occasional Groupons to alleviate the cost.
Great! Tried #11 Special Combo, #5 Grilled Pork and iced coffee mocha. First time to try Vietnamese sandwiches so I can't compare #11 with other Vietnamese sandwiches, but #5 was good enough.
I don't often go to Lee's Sandwiches but they have never disappointed me in the taste of the food or their strong coffee the place was clean the people were friendly we received our order in a timely manner my wife my sister-in-law and my niece love going there that's another place I think if you get a chance to drop by and get a sandwich it's different and I think you'll enjoy it
I was there at 7am and they were ready for the day. I really like their breakfast sandwiches and price is great. Service is great too.
We were in town and decided to get some Vietnamese coffee. I usually love the taste and the strongness of the coffee vs other types of iced coffee. The coffees were great and kept me wired as it took me more than an hour to get home.
Very big and clean store. Inside have deli manjoo juice too. Lot of parking. Asian couple work inside. Very good customer service. Sandwich and flan cake are so good. Overall very good experience.

tastes fine, but they cut vegetables much thicker and give less meat and veggies. honestly, the lee's on brookhurst & westminster is 10x better.
The parking lot here is always crowded due to the surrounding businesses. Sandwiches are made to order so they take a few extra minutes. The iced Lee's coffee is a must try (super strong coffee with condensed milk over ice).
I was hunting for an authentic Vietnamese Banh Mi sandwich. When I arrived, the owner said, “‘Banh Mi’ just means sandwich.” That should’ve been my first clue that it wouldn’t taste right. The cashier did her best to make it Vietnamese style, but the bread and veggies are too thick with no soy sauce as requested. The texture was way off, too. The sandwich, with a minute amount of avocado and tofu (no meat), was $6.79. Wow. So the hunt continues...
Service was not that good. I just came for the products. Such a shame that all Lee sandwich every where else are better .

The banh mi bread was too chewy, not as crispy as the one I had at other location. No bottle of the green top Sriracha sauce, they give you a small packet instead. No small cup for dipping the plum sauce for the egg rolls, but just a small packet. Egg roll was not bad.
This store does not get enough business to keep the ingredients fresh. Bread was stale and meat was dry. Flavor was good as usual.
They asking $7 for sandwiches And my sandwich had 2 piece of chicken. And they made it all sloppy and bad service. No coming here no more
The last time I ordered from this Lee's location was prepandemic. Today, I ordered (after two years) and I was very disappointed with the overall experience. Their customer service was poor, a homeless person panhandled me inside the store, wait time was a bit long, and the bahn mi I ordered was less filled than I remembered, so you are paying more and getting less. All their prices have gone up, as everything else postpandemic.
Staff was alright, but the person that was helping us was on her phone while taking our order lol. Very unprofessional. Sandwich and coffee were really good, of course.
I had a random craving for Lee's Coffee and a croissant, so I came to this Lee's Sandwiches. I had an overall really good experience at the Downey location, so I was hoping that it would be the same here at a more local location like this one in Artesia. I had a few problems here. The only good thing that this location has going for it is how nice and spacious the inside of the it is; it looked very professional and they have it set up so that you can do a tiny bit of food and drink shopping before you get something off of their menu. 1) The Downey location had a GREAT drink selection. I went there just for the coffee and there were so many things that I wanted to try the next time I went there. For such a nice-looking and big location, the drink selection at the Artesia location was so small that it seemed rather embarrassing. There were only a few tea options, few juice and smoothie options, and decent variations with the coffee. They need to step it up. 2) This was my biggest issue with this location and possibly the restaurant chain as a whole if this is the case at every location. When I went to the one in Downey, I noticed that they used A LOT of ice in their fantastic Iced Coffee. Upwards of 80% of the cup was filled with ice. Remembering this, I asked for a Large Iced Coffee with light ice. I was told by the cashier that if I did that, then I'd have to pay more for it. Are you confused as I am about this? Let me explain. From what I gathered from the cashier, they specifically have to go by the recipe. This recipe calls for only 8 ounces of coffee (I assumed that the rest is just ice and a large cup is about 16 ounces). Because of this, getting light ice would mean that I would have to pay more to add more coffee to it ($1 to $2 more). This is the ONLY restaurant or beverage store that I've ever been to that does this, and that's beyond ridiculous. On the inside, I was very annoyed by this, but I was curious as to what would happen if I was okay with this, so I happily agreed to it. What was even more frustrating is what they gave me; as you can see in the picture of the coffee, all they seemed to have done was add less coffee since it was the same amount of ice that they normally use. Lee's Sandwiches need to let this constraint in the recipe go so that people can enjoy the coffee more and customize it to their liking. Nobody should be paying upwards of almost $6 for an Iced Coffee that's really 50% coffee and 50% water. If they're doing this with their other drinks, then that needs to end as well. 3) The last issue I had at this location was the size of the croissant sandwiches. I bought 2, one was a sausage, egg and cheese, and the other was a ham, egg, and cheese. The second picture is for reference. The Downey location had a bigger croissant (maybe by 30%) and the price wasn't that much different. On top of that, there wasn't much meat inside of it to justify an almost $5 price point. Overall, I can only give this location 2 stars. I'd give it 1 star, but the croissant sandwich was great despite its size and lack of the meats, the Lee's Iced Coffee usually doesn't disappoint outside of the issue that I presented, and the establishment looks very nice inside. Otherwise, this would be a 1-star review.
Always a hit or miss for my hot sandwiches to be hot. I have yet to receive an iced coffee that is completely full. When you ask them to fill it up, they say no. Very rude and bad service. The picture isn’t as bad as other times
I am picking out bruised and rotting cilantro out of my sandwich. I do not recommend this location.

Long wait time for one simple banh mi! I gave them a second chance and it was still the same. Comparing to other Lee's location in OC or SGV, this place was inferior. For whatever reason, the sandwiches also didn't taste the same as the other ones. I did not try their refrigerated, pre-pack desserts just because I was not sure how long these items had been sitting on the shelves. They also carried packaged snacks and asian Condiments. But for me, I just won't come back again.
Very bad customer service. They make you wait a long time even though your sandwiches are done and if you order a smoothie they take xtra long just to give you that. Restrooms are filthy. Sandwiches ok. They need to have better communication with customers.
it’s extremely hot inside, no AC, only a fan that doesn’t cool anything. top of that when you arrive nobody is here to serve you and you have to wait at least 5 mins. nobody tells you to wait or something like that.
I Ordered iced coffee large with light ice they gave one fourth of a cup missing like why did I pay 5$ Just to pretty much get a medium…
The young asian guy had an attitude with a lady then he tried doing it to me. Other than that the food is good. He must be mad he is working. I rather go to Bellflower if I keep seeing atitudes from young people.
Female cashier was talking on 📱 and not listening to customers. When ringing up, she try to add a tip with out showing the customers what she was was doing .pay attention to cashier
I recommend people stay FAR away from this location. I would rather drive farther to Long Beach location than give this place my money again. Customer service was horrible, took a long time for sandwiches despite no other customers being there, and sandwiches look like they were made with eyes closed. Bread was smushed, soggy, and cold. Place is empty for a reason.
Staff is slow and not friendly. They let homeless sit inside and beg people for money from everyone that walks through their doors, which is annoying and makes for an uncomfortable experience, especially when I didn’t come here to make a donation. Do better.
Ordered a Vietnamese coffee and got this crazy how stingy this place is basically got a cup of ice. The one I usually go too never does that will no be returning
Lee's Sandwiches is a complete rip-off. The workers are like robots, just churning out orders without any care or attention to detail. The fact that they have the audacity to ask for a tip when all they do is take your order and throw it together is ridiculous. I specifically requested a large iced tea with no ice, yet I received a half-full cup with barely any tea in it. It's clear that they skimp on ingredients and try to cut corners wherever they can. I felt like I was being cheated out of my money with their measly portions. I will never be returning to Lee's Sandwiches again. They are cheap, stingy, and overall just a terrible place to eat. Save your money and go somewhere that actually values their customers.
I used to come here often until the quality went downhill the past couple years. Every time I come back to give them another chance, I am let down even more than the previous visits. This time might be the final time I come back. The Vietnamese coffee has ALWAYS been the thing that kept me coming back. However, this time it was super watered down even before any ice had melted. Vietnamese coffee is supposed to be extremely bold and strong and you are supposed to let the ice melt while you sip at it. My banh mi only had meat 3/4 up the sandwich. It’s almost 10$ per sandwich and they skimped out. It’s embarrassing how far Lee’s has gone from their former self.
Aug 2024: they got some new item so I have to try it. The breadstick cost only $3.99 I pay extra for the vegetable. The breadstick is also 10 inches long but the width was only half my thumb. Same old same old there are skimpy on the meat but compared to the baguette that is double in price I probably get the same amount of meat in the breadstick but they only have the price. There is hardly any meat in my sandwich, the audacity these people selling it for $7.99. the sesame ball hardly has any sesame on it. none of the item look like the picture.

The cashier seemed exasperated when we asked for recommendations. It seemed like he just wanted to get rid of us as quickly as possible. We used to buy Lee's sandwiches near Alhambra, and the sandwiches were usually a normal size. Here, the sandwiches are smaller and thinner. For such a popular franchise, the quality and price are not what you would expect.
they have lost me as a customer for life. I just moved to the area and I work close by. every single day I went to this place for a month to get their coffee every single day I bought $40 worth of coffee from this place and they put too much ice in it and so all I asked them for is light ice they’ve never had an issue with it. They always accept my order with light ice for some reason today the girl at the cashier wants to get an attitude with me and tell me that the cups not gonna be full all the way, unless I want to pay for more coffee. I explained to her that I don’t want to pay for more coffee. I just don’t wanna pay for coffee and have my cup filled with ice. I don’t wanna drink ice. She said well, sir. This is our policy. I said to her I didn’t ask for your policy. All I asked for is light ice. She then gave me an attitude again said she’s never seen me before when I literally order a coffee from this girl every single day. These ppl are clueless I will NEVER SUPPORT THEM AGAIN
Wow so disappointed. $8 sandwich with very little cold chicken no flavor. No pickled daikon. $8 Vietnamese coffe that was mainly ice. Impatient cashier that was friendly but I still tipped because I'm sure she was in a mood the place was super hot inside
Both times I visited this place I was disappointed by the rude service and rip off tactics. They charge $7 for coffee that’s mostly ice. Then when I asked for no ice hoping for more coffee, the lady explains with a straight face that I would still only get leas than a cup of coffee. This is after she took almost 10 minutes to come out from the back to take my order. I was so disgusted I walked out and will never come back. Kneads Donuts down the street will give you a large Vietnamese coffee for less and the cup is actually full of …guess what…the actual coffee!!
I was really disappointed with Lee's Sandwiches. The $8 sandwiches had barely any meat, making them feel more like bread rolls. The Vietnamese coffee was mostly ice, with very little actual coffee. For these prices, I expected much more. Not worth it.
