We’ve been here before, and it never disappoints. The tapas are always outstanding, and the service is truly excellent — everyone is on top of their game. I also love watching them craft those delicious drinks behind the bar; it adds so much to the experience. This time we sat at the bar, and the bartender was extremely kind and attentive. I honestly had such a great experience. We ordered the pimientos de piquillo, pan con tomate, and pincho moruno — absolutely delish. A must-visit every time we’re in Asheville.
I know about curate because I watched their chef/ owner making croquetas on a vice munchies video years ago (and croquetas are my favorite) so I was thrilled to finally try it on my first visit to Asheville. For a light dinner, we ordered the pulpo, mushrooms, the noodle squid ink paella, jamon croqetas, and a little plate of jamon, plus a few drinks. It's hard to explain, but everything was simple but super flavorful. Happy to say the croquetas were amazing and lived up to my imagination. It's definitely not cheap and don't expect huge portions (e.g. the jamon was excellent but it was 5 slivers), be warned! But they execute well and everything was honestly delicious. Our server was great too.
We definitely were looking forward to eating here and definitely was delicious, but had some duds. The top hits were, octopus, stuffed peppers, mushrooms. The bread, tomato and Manchego was also a solid choice. The beans and sausage a solid B. We love us some creme brulee, but Rosemary Creme brulee was not a great pairing at all. The consistency was good and great topping but Rosemary is not the combo.
This Spanish tapas spot in Asheville truly impressed me. So many people recommended it that I finally went, and it absolutely lived up to everything I had heard. I loved sitting at the bar and watching the chefs prepare each dish, and the team behind the bar knew the menu inside out and guided us so well. The place had a lively, energetic feel and every plate we tried was fantastic. We enjoyed every single bite and I cannot wait to visit again.
It's as good as all the reviews say. A great anniversary dinner with some amazing food - with many local ingredients. All of the tapas were good with some being memorable. The octopus was the best I've ever had. I had a farmers cheese, candied walnut and dill dessert that was simply amazing. I still think about it. Our server was Caroll (spelled that way on the ticket) was incredible. She gave us great recommendations, she knew how everything was prepared and complemented each other, and had stories of how most of the food was sourced. They are the sole importers of a lite buttery Spanish olive oil by a cooperative that is trying to save 100 year old abandoned olive groves in Spain. The table next to us told us they have never seen such an amazing server. The entire staff was excellent, but she was the model of a great server!
Kelsey - our server at the bar was amazing! She was so kind, made sure we had the best experience- even brought out some extra sauces- was attentive and took an honest interest in us and provided truly helpful recommendations. Get the tangy sauce!! FOOD- so fresh and beautifully presented! Absolutely delicious and we will be back. It’s season- so highly recommend reservations as they are always packed.
I was pleasantly surprised with the cuisine. Being a native, one is challenged by a discerning palate and it is tough on the restaurateurs. We had croquetas de jamón, rabas or calamares a la romana, gambas al ajillo, tortilla española, chistorras, fideuá negra, pimientos de piquillo rellenos and more. We went twice as both my friend and I were impressed with the chef's talent. Definitely would return, Not too sure about the Gambas as they were more in a lemon sauce rather than olive oil. BTW the oil there is a connoisseur's delight. Enjoy.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cúrate – Asheville, NC We had an incredible dining experience at Cúrate. From the moment we sat down, the energy of the place and the aroma from the open kitchen set the tone for something special. We ordered a variety of tapas to share, and every single one was excellent—beautifully prepared, bursting with flavor, and perfectly portioned for sharing. The mix of traditional Spanish favorites and creative new dishes made it a fun and memorable meal. The service was friendly and knowledgeable, helping us navigate the menu and pair everything just right. With great food, a lively atmosphere, and top-notch hospitality, Cúrate easily ranks as one of Asheville’s must-visit restaurants.
We sat at the bar and were entranced watching the busy kitchen while enjoying delicious tapas and wine. We did the chefs tasting, and while pricey, soooo worth it. The pan con tomate is the perfect start. Iberico ham, sautéed mushrooms, octopus, and roasted stuffed red peppers + grilled lamb. Everything was 10/10.
Incredible experience at Curate tapas bar. We loved everything we tried, especially the jamón. Great service and cool views of the line from the bar. Curate’s house gin and tonic has Peychaud’s bitters, which I enjoyed!
Stopped in Cúrate for some tapas. I tried a couple small plates (circled on my menu in the pic) they were both amazing and paired well together as suggested by my server who also suggested a great wine pairing. I even got a little desert for my birthday. The place was packed so must mean it’s good!! If you like a tapas experience, you should stop in.
We had such a wonderful experience at Cúrate for our anniversary! Everything we ate was absolutely delicious—from the salad with shrimp, to the lamb skewers, pork, and sautéed shrimp, every dish was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. The staff went above and beyond to make our evening special, even surprising us with a complimentary dessert for our anniversary, which was the perfect sweet ending to an amazing meal. If you’re in Asheville and want an unforgettable dining experience with incredible food and outstanding service, I highly recommend Cúrate!
I am probably just echoing the masses here, but wow! Every dish was exceptional! Portion sizes are very large. The two of us split 5 and couldn’t finish it all. The bread with tomato and add on manchego was the peak of simple perfection. The eggplant with honey was a delightful surprise of sweet and crispy that could almost pass for dessert. But make no mistake, the cheesecake will be the most amazing discovery. Insanely creamy with a hint of caramel from the edges and tang from the goat cheese, it is hands down the best you will ever have. It is perfect for people who don’t like overly sweet or cloying things at the end of a meal. Our server was knowledgeable and excited to share info about each course. It is a true education in tapas. You will leave very full and so happy. It is worth it!
We were referred to Curate and we are so glad we made the decision to dine there! This is a very popular restaurant and I noticed that when we made our reservation online via Resy. Be sure to plan ahead to secure at table. When we arrived, there was a line outside so we stepped inside about 7:55pm to check in for our 8:30pm seating and were delighted to be seated within minutes. Our server was Melissa and was fantastic. She was a local and was able to explain the dishes made with unique local ingredients. She was also well versed in the Spanish wine offerings and made pairing suggestions. The food was delicious! They offer tapas style small plates as well as full size plates. If you enjoy fish, the Trout dish is a must. Mushroom dishes were divine. Ask about the freshly made ice cream. We chose Rosemary ice cream. Enjoy!
Highly recommend the mushrooms, which were the best I’ve ever had. Also had the lamb skewers with Moroccan spices which were delicious! I have celiac and the gluten free options were excellent. Server was knowledgeable and steered me toward celiac-safe options.
This was the perfect meal. We loved everything we ordered. The stuffed peppers and cheesecake were standouts! We will absolutely return.
Cúrate captures the spirit of Spanish dining — convivial, sensory, and full of joy. A must-visit in Asheville, and we’ll absolutely ask for Katana next time we go!
We had a late dinner on a Sunday evening here. Our server was great, food was delicious. Make sure you have reservations as it is a very busy one.
Definitely one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in recent years. You can see why they’ve been awarded several times for their service, but the food and the space are equally impressive. Started with the Pan Con Tomate, Jamon de Bellota, and both options for the Anchovies. All of them were great but the Anchovies might have been the best I’ve ever had. That salty umami goodness is unbeatable. Second round was the Patatas Bravas and Galician-Style Octopus. Once again, as good as I’ve had, especially the Octopus which was perfectly tender and came with a wonderful puree. Finished with the Croquetas de Pollo, Stuffed Piquillo Peppers, and the Lamb Skewers. We have Croquetas often but these were superb. Washed it all down with a pitcher (or two) of the white sangria. Incredible meal and I look forward to returning at some point soon!
Stop in for a quick lunch and couldn’t have been more pleased with my experience. The sangria was tasty the food was quick and full of flavor. Our waiter helped us tailor the perfect combination of tapas. I’ve been coming here for at least of 10 years and love it every time.
It was literally a wonderful culinary experience. I enjoyed every bite I took. I took just a few pictures because I was busy enjoying each dish 😜… highly recommend A+++++
Reserved via Resy/Global Dining Access. Everything was great. The menu does change vs the website. The pork fritters I had are not on their website, the beet gazpacho ("gazpacho de remolacha") along with a shrimp dish ("gambas al ajillo") are on the website menu. Last item is the sorbet that varies by day; I was told it was red currant and it tasted like extra sour raspberries which does track with red currants, though I've never had red currants before. Also got a mocktail "solo mora" that used nonalcoholic bourbon and was fantastic.
We made a reservation to sit at the bar in front of the Josper. What a show, which was only surpassed by the quality of the food. The pulpo was tender and perfectly prepared. The vegetables were beautiful to see and eat and the iberico pork was "onolicious" as they say in Hawaii. It "broke da mouth". We enjoyed to craft cocktails as well as the vibe. What a gem you have here in Asheville. This place alone is worth a return trip.
My girlfriend and I went for her birthday dinner. Eager, friendly, and cordial service (chilled our wine for us!). We got the 'Spanish experience' which frankly is the best value tasting menu in the mid atlantic region. Everything was incredible but our favorites were the octopus dish and the mushrooms. It's obvious that they care deeply about cooking with quality ingredients, and the dishes speak for themselves. Handily in my top 3 meals of all time. To list my favorite dishes and everything we loved about them would take 3 pages. Bravo!!!
Review of Curate Bar De Tapas I had the pleasure of dining at Curate Bar De Tapas on Saturday, June 14, 2025, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant and inviting, filled with the delightful energy of fellow diners. Our waitress, Jamie, was nothing short of amazing. Her detailed knowledge of the menu and her expertise in wine pairings truly elevated our dining experience. We connected over our shared Maryland roots, which made the evening even more special. Jamie recommended an exquisite wine, SINCRONIA MALLOKCE VI ĐE LA TERE from MESQUIDA MORA, to complement our meal perfectly. We kicked off our feast with filtered water and immediately dove into the extensive tapas menu. For our Aperitivo, we opted for the Pan con tomate, enriched with machete cheese — a delicious start! The La Jamoneria featuring Cinco Jotas jam on Iberico with Jamon de Bellota was a standout, as were the patatas bravas. Each dish was a celebration of bold flavors, with highlights including the primientos de piquillo rellenos, gambas al ajillo, and macarrones. The Raciones like Tricia al horno and cerdo iberico rounded out our meal beautifully. Although we were too full for dessert, I must admit, I was tempted by the Spanish Experience menu crafted by Chef Katie Button and Felix Meana. This visit was truly a Grand Slam Home Run for my tapas experience! I could have explored so much more from the menu. It’s clear that Curate is a gem for Asheville, packed with patrons even at 4 PM on a Saturday evening. Parking was a breeze with both street and off-street paid options nearby. The drink menu is impressive, offering a variety of regular and seasonal cocktails, wines by the glass or bottle, draft and bottle beers, and even seasonal sodas. After dinner, we enjoyed sweet wines and brandy, along with a good cup of coffee to finish off our meal. Curate Bar De Tapas is definitely one of my favorite spots in Asheville, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic tapas experience. Be sure to ask for Jamie; you won’t be disappointed!
First time I've been standing at a bar and the bartender ignores us until we call one over after 10 minutes of standing there. I was worried that this would be the theme of the night. It was not. We got seated at the kitchen bar so we could see the dishes being created. Our waiter, Davis, was great! Very attentive and checked in with us frequently and hustled the whole time. The food was delicious. We just went with 5 small plates. The ham fritters were fried to perfection. Peppers stuffed with goat cheese were very tasty. We ordered the eggplant and honey and the octopus based on a recommendation from the woman next to us. Both were great. I've never had an octopus so tender. Typically I find it to be on the rubbery side. The final dish was the sauteed shrimp in sherry. It came with a baguette to sop up the broth. So good.
Curate is nothing short of a culinary treasure tucked into the vibrant heart of downtown Asheville. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by an atmosphere that feels both intimate and effortlessly sophisticated — the perfect setting for an evening of discovery and delight. The small plates here are pure artistry. Each dish bursts with bold, authentic flavors, thoughtfully crafted with the freshest ingredients. From the perfectly seasoned tapas to the innovative daily specials, every bite is a celebration of Spanish tradition with a creative, modern twist. It's clear that every element, from presentation to flavor balance, has been curated with passion and precision. What truly sets Curate apart is the atmosphere. The warm lighting, the gentle hum of conversation, and the open view into the bustling kitchen create a sense of connection — to the food, to the space, and to the people you're sharing it with. Whether you're a seasoned foodie or just someone who appreciates a thoughtfully prepared meal, Curate offers an experience that's both approachable and unforgettable. If you're exploring Asheville and looking for a spot that captures the city's creative spirit and culinary excellence, Curate is an absolute must. It's more than just a meal — it's a memory in the making.
10/10 experience from service to food, to atmosphere … we had a wonderful time! We were so impressed with every single dish. One of the best dinners we’ve ever had. My husband and I are big foodies, so we have very high expectations and this place truly impressed us.
Curate is hands down the best Spanish food I’ve had in the U.S. The flavors are authentic, beautifully balanced, and true to Spanish cuisine — nothing feels Americanized. Every dish was perfectly executed. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, the service is excellent, and the overall experience feels very European. You can truly taste the respect for quality ingredients and traditional technique. An unforgettable dining experience and a place I would return to without hesitation.
A wonderful lunch with friends from out of town at Curate several weeks ago. What a fantastic menu. My friends split multiple small plates and I had the mussels. Each dish was terrific. And our server was on top of every single detail.
We come to Asheville often throughout the year and have been wanting to dine at Curate for a while. We finally were able to plan it out for our Anniversary trip to Asheville and our meal at Curate did not disappoint. Everything we had was so amazingly delicious! The wine and cocktails were excellent and our server (his name escapes me) absolutely was part of the reason we had such a great experience. Matter of fact, all the staff that we encountered from the host, bartender and our server were amazing and made us feel welcomed. Can't wait to go back.
Cúrate is always a great option when visiting Asheville—it’s a must. This was our third time dining here, and it continues to be an excellent experience every single time. On this visit, we ordered the stuffed piquillo peppers, which we absolutely love and always come back for. We also tried something new: the pulpo a la gallega, which was very well executed—the octopus was cooked perfectly. The seasonal vegetables with romesco were also outstanding; the romesco sauce was especially delicious. We also ordered the patatas bravas and the croquettes, which remain our favorites and never disappoint. The only low point of the meal was the Spanish tortilla. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the level of tortillas you find in Spain. This time it was truffle-infused, and we felt the truffle flavors weren’t well integrated. I think if the potatoes had been cooked with the truffle, the flavor would have come through much better. That said, Cúrate never disappoints. Reservations are always needed and require planning ahead, but it’s absolutely worth it. Honestly, it’s a 10/10 every time—a place that can genuinely change your
Cúrate exceeded our expectations and set the bar for dining experiences. The restaurant itself was beautiful, the staff were warm and welcoming, and the food was immaculate. We had a Valentine’s Day reservation and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our meal. Special shoutout to the octopus… hands down, the best octopus I have ever had. I want to acknowledge the kindness and care our servers, Sarah and Garrett, showed us. Sarah went above and beyond to ensure we landed on favorable wine selections for our meal. Garrett is the kind of server you do not forget. He made an effort to get to know us, and we left feeling like we were regulars despite it being our first time dining at Cúrate. Needless to say, we are now huge fans of this restaurant, and while we’re not from Asheville, we are excited to make the drive back to try more of the menu and see our favorite servers, Sarah and Garrett!
Any bad reviews for this place seem like a fluke or bad experience with a staff member, we had nothing remotely similar. We had two couples and three kids and have eaten at restaurants rated "best in the world," best in Asia," and very conservatively 50+ James Beard Award winning restaurants visited amongst us. Not bragging, just setting some context. And I feel a little bad for the review given how much I love another tapas place in the KC metro area. This is the best tapas restaurant my wife and I have been to and she sampled the best rated and local recommended throughout Spain in the past. Get the recommended courses with wine pairings, nevermind the price, this is a vacation experience and it is worth it. For instance, there is a very savory squid ink pasta paired with a sweet, crisp wine and it shows just how much juxtaposition can elevate an experience. It's been a couple of years and still stands out in my mind. Get some extras that you know the whole family will go for like the patatas bravas. Just enjoy, this place is a treat!
My husband and I came here for dinner on a short weekend trip and I was very impressed! The dish that stuck out was the octopus. We were absolutely stuffed and incredibly satisfied when we left. Our server Sheldon was also incredibly attentive and was helpful in helping us pick out our dishes. Will definitely be back the next time we are in Asheville!
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Cúrate!! The octopus was the best I’ve ever had and extremely tender. We also had the stuffed peppers, sautéed mushrooms, Jamon, and chorizo with goat cheese and honey. The entire meal was wonderful. Our favorites were the octopus and Chorizo. Our server, Davis was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. From the wine to the ins and outs of every dish Davis was there to inform and guide us. We will definitely be back. I forgot to take pictures because I was enjoying it too much! Things to know: -Reservation is recommended -The restaurant is downtown and parking can be hard to find. There is a parking deck but be prepared to spend at least $25 in parking. -Tapas style (small bites), you’ll want to pick 5-7 small plates depending on your appetite. -moderate noise level. We had 5 and dessert and were very satisfied, but didn’t come in super hungry. - if you are a picky eater I recommend looking at a sample menu online before arriving, but there are very accommodating.
Curate was easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Asheville. Every dish we tried was absolutely full of flavor, and you can truly taste the quality in every bite. What made the experience even more memorable was the phenomenal service from Sheldon. She went above and beyond to walk us through the menu/drinks, and answer every question we had. Her recommendations were spot-on. She made the entire meal feel elevated and personal. Between the incredible food and Sheldon’s exceptional service, our experience was unforgettable. We’ll absolutely be back and highly recommend Curate to anyone visiting Asheville.
A friend and I were visiting Asheville and was told this was a must visit. You will need to make a reservation well in advance, I was here in the off season and 3 weeks ahead, the earliest Sunday night reservation was at 7:45pm. The food was delicious and we left satisfied.
The service was above and beyond—everyone was attentive and friendly. The food itself was a bit of a hit or miss depending on what you order. The paella, while flavorful, felt overpriced at $26 considering the portion size. On the other hand, the ham bocadillo at $12 was a much better choice. We shared several dishes to try more of the menu: lomo de bellota, papas bravas, pulpo a la gallega, lamb skewers, and croquetas de jamón. Unfortunately, all of our food arrived at room temperature, which was disappointing since the dishes would’ve tasted much better served hot. Overall, great service and a nice experience, but some dishes stood out more than others.
Celebrated our anniversary here last night and really loved our experience. We were seated right away at our reservation time. We ordered the Iberico pork (large plate), squid ink vermicelli, octopus with Yukon puree, patatas bravos, paper plane, cosmo, and a glass of red wine. Overall experience was great, our server did a great job. My only comment is the squid ink pasta was overly salty to end the meal with, and the pork plate was very small for $42 (I think). But we will definitely be back!
A popular establishment that doesn’t really need much introduction but going to do it anyway. Been here several times but never did a review. We decided to pop in on a very cold winter evening without a reservation! Place was full as usual but we manage to get a seat on a communal table which ended up being our favorite table ! All dishes were delicious and beautifully presented as always - from warm bread to soup to tapas. Sangria was really nicely done. A truly pleasurable evening. The only point I will like to add is that it would be nice to feel more welcomed as a local. Most of the diners appear to be visitors and service is rather impersonal.
Overall good. We thought the sautéed kale salad was amazing and the Mac and cheese was good too. Everything else was good but left a little to be desired. Service was quick if a little cold from our girl. Atmosphere was a little loud and crowded. Not ideal for a date night. You are eating in same room as the kitchen. We would come back but don’t highly recommend. 3.5 stars rounded up
We tried Cúrate in downtown Asheville last night, but I don’t know that I’m truly a fan. Admittedly, I normally prefer lightly seasoned natural foods and I don’t enjoy the ripe taste of charcuterie/cured meats and cheeses, so this venue may not have been for me. It’s best for intimate small groups of adults where you don’t mind sharing your plates, eating slowly and tasting different flavors as they come to the table. I found some dishes delicious, but others I didn’t care for as they had a definite tendency to flavors that are cured, smoked, charred or gamey. Everything was fresh and prepared with care; the others in my party liked most things, but after several dishes I disliked, I started to get wary about what came next. Even though I didn’t enjoy the food, the atmosphere is good and the service was excellent. You can’t serve and pick up that many dishes without a very attentive staff, though our waitress just assumed that we loved all the dishes instead of actually asking what we thought. The restrooms were impeccably clean, the decor is very nice, and everything is well presented and attended to. The one thing I can’t chalk up to individual taste was a cold fan blowing on us the whole meal. It was about 60 outside but we were all freezing and wore our jackets to dine. Some people at the bar also wore their coats. I’m sure the busy wait staff appreciates this but our party was uncomfortable. Probably would not return; it was very expensive and I didn’t like the majority of dishes I tried.
We were visiting Asheville and heard this was one of the best restaurants in the area to try. Unfortunately, that wasn’t our experience. We found the menu to be very limited. We tried the fried eggplant, olives with chips, potatoes, the roasted peppers with eggplant, and a large plate of trout. Not one of these items stood out to us. They were just okay. Which was disappointing. Nothing was bad, but not one of these items was anything special either. The service was good, but not great. For dessert, we got the peach dessert. From the description of it, i expected a peach explosion in my mouth. But it actually didn’t even taste like peaches. Very disappointing. It’s not a place I’d want to go back to.
My wife and I were given a gift certificate for Curate from our Son and his wife. We were excited to use it as we had heard exceptional things about this restaurant. We arrived around 15 minutes early for our reservation and were seated immediately. Our waiter came by and quickly explained their concept (small plates) to us and left us with the menus to review. We ended up ordering a couple of glasses of wine (my wife ordered the red sangria, which was amazing). We asked for some.suggestions from our waiter, as we had not been here before. He rushed through the suggestions (without asking what our likes were) as if he was a little put out by the question. We then asked if we could order a couple at a time to see how many we would need to fill up. He told us we needed to order everything up front since they were very busy (300 people) and they needed to be efficient. We ended up ordering the Iberian ham, the eggplant, the ensalada with crispy shrimp and the goat cheese stuffed peppers. The food was good (not amazing). We liked the ensalada and the eggplant the best. We would not order the ham again! We would have likely ordered another dish or two, but our service was less than stellar and we really just wanted to leave. We ended up leaving a 20% tip (because that is the right thing to do) but we will not return based on the service provided. Somewhat dissapointing experience!
This restaurant was on my bucket list for a long time, based on reviews, so I finally decided to try it this week. Service was great, but the actual food was underwhelming and bland. We tried about 8 different dishes. Even the plating was unimaginative and messy-these pictures are before we even touched the food. At this price point, the food should be a fantastic & memorable experience. This definitely wasn’t it, unfortunately.
Honestly we had such high expectations for this place We tried so much to get a reservation and the food and we were able to but really we didn't like a single dish. The octopus ,the mushroom ,the dried age ( worst ) the chorizo ( best) all were just ok or not at All worthy of a James beard. We didn't even like the cocktails. Anyway over all will not recommend Flavor was lacking over all Annoyed that we were told the dried pork was the way to go until we tried it and didnt like it. Then were told that it was not the servers liking either.
Very overrated and overpriced food for the quantity and quality they offer. I felt the menu was also very limited. The garlic shrimp recipe was terrible and so was the octopus. Both plates which I was looking fwd to try very much. Nothing good about the eggplant in honey and the croquettes are also missing some aioli or dipping sauce. They don’t even offer you free bread with olive oil. Probably the restaurant was better some time ago but not right now, and I’ve been to many other tapas restaurants in the US where you can get better food, and obviously in Spain where you can’t even compare it.
food was average nothing special . wines little bit pricey server was trish which is so sweet and kind person my reviews for the girl name grace! it was 9:10 pm and she start picking up my plates and her attitude is some other level l am writing this review for her if you have rush talk with maanger or owner and leave early we already start finish our food . after her approach l asked for check and leave immediately
I visited this restaurant with my family as tourists in the city. After passing by many places, we decided to stop here since I liked the atmosphere. The hostess was very kind and helpful, and the server was attentive at first. The food itself was nice, no complaints there. However, the experience quickly turned disappointing. Before we could even finish our dishes, and just as I was about to order another drink and dessert for my wife, the server dropped the check on our table and clearly pushed us to leave. This was very upsetting, especially since it was raining outside and we had our 1-year-old baby with us. On top of that, part of our order was wrong, but I chose not to make a fuss—I simply paid and left. Overall, it felt rushed, disrespectful, and very disappointing after what had started as a pleasant experience.
