Opinions de The Bohemian Restaurant Brevard
Our new favorite restaurant in Brevard. After two visits the food, atmosphere, and service are all 5 star consistently. The front outside patio is very comfortable and super dog friendly. We have not had anything that was not amazing. Lasagna, bone-in pork chop, and the chicken cordon Blu were all spot on. Fried risotto balls were unique and tasty. Service well beyond "mountain standards"
Absolutely AMAZING restaurant all the way around! We went for the special Thanksgiving Dinner, and couldn't have been more impressed. The place was SLAMMED, and the staff were running around like crazy, so it would have been easy for them to be agitated, rude, etc BUT THEY WERE THE OPPOSITE. Everyone was kind, helpful, and hard working, and everything went perfectly. The meal was INCREDIBLE, as every course just got better and better, including the best roasted turkey I've ever had, and a delicate and delicious pumpkin cheesecake. The owner Gabriel spoke with us and was very gracious, even though he wouldn't share his turkey secrets 🤣🤣. We will definitely be back next time we are in Brevard!
Had a great lunch at The Bohemian Restaurant in downtown Brevard. My wife had the Chicken Shawarma which she really enjoyed. I had the Schnitzel with roasted potatoes which was excellent. We dined upstairs as there was a wait for the patio. It was quiet and made for easy conversation. Our server was friendly and attentive. Our food arrived in a timely manner. The specialty cocktails were delicious. 5 Stars!
Caitlin was great and the food and drinks were delicious. Perfect brunch to start our day in brevard. The croc madame was the star. (The price per person I share is higher because we had 2 drinks each.)
Fantastic Dinner Experience – Great Food and Atmosphere We made a reservation for three earlier in the day, and our table was ready when we arrived, only a short couple-minute wait to be seated. The host was friendly and welcoming, and our server was knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening out. The menu had so many tempting options that it actually made choosing a little tough — always a good sign. The food was excellent, beautifully plated, and full of flavor. Prices for entrees were very reasonable, while drinks leaned a bit on the pricey side, but the quality made up for it. Next time we visit Brevard, The Bohemian will definitely be a must-return dinner spot. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a well-rounded dining experience with great service and ambiance.
We loved finding this cute old house turned yummy restaurant in the heart of Bevard during our get-away to the mountains trip. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. The menu fresh and delicious! My chicken parm was fab! Definitely recommend! *I don’t know why the only pic I have of my food is the toast points I turned to look like hearts! It was delicious so maybe I gobbled it up before I could snap another one*
Absolutely Amazing! Oatmeal is so personable and crafts each drink with love and expertise! I came on a Mother Daughter trip and we stopped by for drinks and dinner Left with full bellies and all smiles!!!
We randomly came into Brevard for a lunch and found the Bohemian. We came on a Saturday and the brunch menu was featured. We had the croque-madame with truffle home fries and the Buenos Aires steak with veggies and home fries. Payton was a friendly and capable server, who checked in with us multiple times. We will be back! 😃
The single best meal I had on our week-long vacation. Get the lasagna. I miss that lasagna so much I want to write it a postcard. We both got that and it's the *BEST* we've ever had anywhere. Very lovely service too, a cut above. I felt good leaving a nice tip.
Great food with a diverse menu! Awesome setting, indoor and out. Was a little to chilly for the patio but looked like an great space. Can't wait to go back and try something new. Be sure to ask for Payton!
We had a fantastic experience at The Bohemian in Brevard. From start to finish, the service was absolutely impeccable—attentive without being intrusive and genuinely warm. We tried the crab soup, a selection of tapas, and finished with dessert, and every dish was outstanding. The flavors were fresh and thoughtfully prepared, and the presentation was just as impressive. Overall, it was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences we’ve had in Brevard. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food, great service, and a memorable evening.
We had a wonderful experience at The Bohemian Restaurant. After having a full day of mountain activities, we ended the night with an excellent dinner. Our server, Leeza, was kind and attentive. The vibe of the restaurant is unique, offering for great opportunities to gather with friends or go on a date night. And most importantly, the food was incredible!! It was my first time in Brevard and I honestly didn’t know what to expect. Not only was I not disappointed, but this dining experience exceeded my expectations!
We stopped here on our way out of Brevard, outstanding service and the food was delicious. We got the French Toast and it was amazing and the chicken and waffles was “flavortown USA” as my fiancée put it. We will be back!
Everything about our dinner was idyllic! The atmosphere was lovely, service incredible, food amazing! I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. The food choices are very diverse and delicious. Don’t miss out, make a reservation ❤️
The food was incredible, and Jennifer took great care of us. I was surprised by the perfection of every bite from appetizers to desserts.
The Bohemian oozes atmosphere; it draws you in from the sidewalk! Lovely servers and service. The food is delicately and intricately flavored; I've enjoyed the Indian Chicken dish (The Mumbai), and especially enjoyed a cocktail with marshmallow flambe, (Bourbon Pecan Sour). Having been to simply dine, and to celebrate special occasions, I can say it's great for both.
They accommodated our party of 14 last minute. The food, drinks and service were top notch! It was our last night in Brevard and we’re super happy with our choice. Our server Jennifer was great! The trout was delicious. Highly recommend!
Best birthday dinner! Oatmeal knows how to craft the perfect cocktail, pair the best wine with our choice of dinner, and was extremely friendly! We will be back and we will be seeing the sister restaurant in Asheville as soon as it’s open! Run don’t walk here!
The Great Plains (French Dip) is one of the best sandwiches I have eaten anywhere, ever. I chose it on my first visit and have actively thought about it for over a year :). We visited for brunch today, and the Madrid (Eggs Benedict) is also to die for; I'm pretty sure the brioche has to be 2 inches thick, and the hollandaise sauce would make cardboard delicious.
Food was absolutely amazing. Best shrimp and grits I have ever had. Jennifer is a great sever so friendly and courteous.
Cara was wonderful! Always checking in on our table and she made sure that everything was in order. Everyone was friendly! Shout out to João Pedro! He was friendly as well and gave us some great suggestions. Also, there was another gentleman that was very friendly to our dog. The food and drinks were great! Our favorite was the Parisian salad and their great selection of wine! A small critique would be having heaters outside for the patio when it gets cold or plastic transparent curtains. We would love to come back during the daytime for lunch or brunch!
The food and dining experience was amazing. The cozy and welcoming atmosphere was incredible. I had a salad with mozzarella, tomato soup and arinici. Our friends loved the food.
Wow wow wow!! Loved brunch here, especially the creme brûlée French toast!! 100% recommendations! Came again and Pedro was our server. He did an outstanding job!
Outrageously delicious, exquisite ambient, therefore, expect to pay for the high price tag! The lamb chop was cooked to perfection, well seasoned, medium rare as we asked for. The Istanbul chicken was delicious served with fragrant rice and pita. The Marseilles chicken is out if this world. Nicely stuffed with cheese and ham and garnished with flavorful sauce to finish it off. Lastly, the Florence Salmon was cooked to perfection; creamy yet light white Alfredo sauce coated the pastas while the salmon was well seasoned, well done with side charred and not overcook, but moist on the inside. It is a 2 story Historical house converted to business. Enjoy the wooden, narrow flight of stairs up to 2nd story dining experience or romantic strings of lights that lit the outdoor dining front patio of the house. Too bad did not have the opportunity to meet the French chef/owner. Compliments to the chef! Definitely recommend! Please express your comments if my reviews help your decision. Thank you.
Jennifer was a great server. She made my visit to this fantastic restaurant even better. The food and atmosphere was perfect. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Brevard NC.
Our favorite restaurant in Brevard! A family staple we come to every year with out fail. The tomato soup is a must order, but everything is fantastic!
Everything we had was fantastic. I was skeptical given the wide variety of cuisines they offer but was very pleasantly surprised. We will definitely be back!
The food was very good, and the Bourbon Sour was delicious. The food is a bit on the pricey side for what you get but it was very good. Interior could use some more decoration and less wires running from place to place. If it weren't so cold when we were there I think we would have preferred to sit on the pretty porch outside.
Randomly stopped here with my brother while we were antique shopping in Brevard. We walked past it and thought it looked cute so we searched up the reviews and it seemed well liked and thought we’d give it a try. Staff was super friendly and food was some of the best food we had ever had highly recommend:)
Absolutely delicious food! Four out of four of us were very happy with our food. The schnitzel was very tender, I could cut it with a fork. It was served with sauerkraut & roasted potatoes.
So glad we found this gem for brunch while traveling through. Enjoyed our mimosas and our entrees were ridiculously good. I had the schnitzel with sauerkraut and eggs and homestyle potatoes. My husband had an amazing brioche French toast with a crispy cinnamon crust and covered in crème brûlée and berries. Service was great and a cute outdoor front porch where we enjoyed the weather. Sensational.
Shrimp & grits were delicious! Recommend mimosas! Kara was a great server!
The Bohemian is our new favorite restaurant! This jewel of a restaurant has it all….cozy ambience inside and out, lovely cocktails, good wine selections, and tasty tasty food! Everything on the menu looked delicious and it was hard to decide on our two trips what to get. On different visits, we started off with the shrimp tapas dish, Bohemian Kiss, Not a Gin & Tonic, and Sour Paloma, and the Chianti. For our main course, we had the snapper dish, the Carolina Trout, and the lasagna. We always make room for dessert and the chocolate mousse and tiramisu were just the best way to top off the meal. Start to finish, every bite and every sip were perfection!
Some of the best tasting food we have eaten! Absolutely loved it! We ate Italian, Indian, and Greek and it was all perfection. Amazing they were able to cook different ethnics of food and make it all taste amazing. We will definitely be back. Loved it.
First day in Brevard and this was absolutely the best choice we could make to grab a dinner with our friends. Delicious shrimps, juicy pork chop and divine chocolate mousse. Definitely a must go when in Brevard.
We absolutely love this place. We have been here 5 times now for lunch. The french dip, Ankara, Alexandria, and the grilled cheese with tomato basil soup are so freaking good! I have no doubt it’s the same with every menu item…do not pass this place up! The servers are very highly trained and awesome. Very relaxing, delicious, and fun.
Loved it! My dad visited and insisted we come back. He said the pork chops are the best he’s ever had. Brought 2 little kids to an early bird dinner and felt very welcome. The burgers on the kids menu were more adult sized than kid sized but our kids still ate it! When we come again we will just order one burger for both kids.
We ate here this summer and loved it. This weekend we drove up from Chapel Hill and stays in Hendersonville, saw we were only 30 minutes away so we made reservations. Our meal was great and Jennifer our server was exceptional!!! Highly recommend eating there and ask for Jennifer
We enjoyed a lovely dinner tonight at the Bohemian Restaurant. The atmosphere was amazing. It was quaint and the food and drinks were perfect. Jennifer, our server, was attentive and helpful. The tomato soup was superb. I had the beet, salmon salad and my husband had the Santorini. Everyone left very satisfied. We made a reservation which I think is helpful. I hear the bar tender makes amazing cocktails, but we opted for a bottle for French burgundy and we were very happy. Go. You won't be disappointed!
I’ve been here for lunch several times and have never been disappointed. The food is great and the servers are friendly. My favorite (so far) is the chicken shawarma on naan, the garlic dill sauce really puts it over the top, but everything I’ve tried has been great. Highly recommended if you’re looking to eat in downtown Brevard.
The Bohemian is a gem of Brevard. Fell into Brunch on a Saturday. Fun menu for brunch with hearty mains both breakfast themed and lunch themed. The pork schnitzel, fried geen tomatoes BLT and the Italian breakfast were all nicely prepared and presented. The outdoor patio is a nice place to enjoy the day.
My friend and I had a casual Friday night dinner here recently. We were sat outside on their beautiful patio despite my request for indoor seating on the reservation. My assumption is due to it being a renovated house, the sheer size of the indoor dining area could not accommodate our request at that moment. My friend ordered some kind of charred marshmallow alcoholic beverage, which she enjoyed enough to order a second. We shared the Picanah Bites which were seasoned well and a decent portion for two. The ground lamb in the Istanbul is served in a sausage like form and seasoned very well. The chicken in the Cairo was a lil dry and could use a bit more seasoning. Adding some tzatziki to the dish really brought it to life. Both dishes came out together but it took a good 30+ mins after the appetizers, which is to be expected due to the size of the restaurant. Service was pretty casual and everyone was well groomed. The ambience of the patio is top tier, especially if the weather is nice. Overall this place is a solid 8/10. Im excited to return to try some other dishes.
Some of the food was amazing!! The burrata salad and cheese stuffed peppers were excellent. The entrees were good, but I sent a picture of the “Florentine pasta” to my Italian roommate (from Florence) and he said, “it looks like someone from Germany made it… Hahaha the problem is that there is no such thing in Florence. This is probably an invention from hell…” It was admittedly tasty, just not very Florentine, haha. Nice vibes, friendly staff, overall good! Coming from the culinary wonders of the Bay Area not quite as wowed as I might otherwise be, but for Brevard, quite nice.
Beautiful porch and healthy AND yummy food. One of my favorite meals. The martinis were fun too - got beetini and ginger with vodka.
On the whole this was a very good experience. The food was excellent although the soups we started with, Crab Bisque and Tomato Basil, were only luke warm. We split the entrée of Baked Salmon w/ Parmesan Cream Sauce over Fettuccine, which was very flavorful. We ended with the Chocolate Mousse (very dense, dark chocolate) and Creme Bruleé. The noise level was very high due to a table of ladies whose laughter was off the charts!
Great restaurant nestled right by Pisgah Forest. Cozy little bar. Even though the portions are enormous, you can take the rest home. I had the trout and it was fantastic. The chef adds a nice delicate touch to his dishes. It was my 30th wedding anniversary. Love was in the air
We have heard good things here so we came early. But even then you better have reservations. Cute place but got banished to the bar. I had the lasagna and the wife had the Cairo. What a terrific lasagna and a huge portion. Very lovely side salad with a smooth flavorful dressing, perfect. The Cairo’s chicken was seasoned delightfully and another good amount. Nice rice but a bit dry and standard fry’s. Strange but good. A top dining spot in Brevard. Good job chef.
Super cute inside, great service, pretty good food. My mom and I were visiting from Asheville and enjoyed the Berlin, pork schnitzel, eggs, sauerkraut, and home fries in Dijon mustard drizzle, and the Madrid, an eggs Benedict Madrid style- chorizo, cheesy(ier) hollandaise, over the eggs and brioche with home fries. Both were like 4/5, pretty good, but lacked some seasoning and hollandaise was more sweet than savory. My mom had a Bloody Mary and it was okay too, no spice really, she did order hers virgin. We were able to get in as a party of two, no reservation and upstairs immediately.
Awesome spot for brunch with a varied world menu and a wide variety of wines. Pedro was great at answering my questions and making recommendations. The schnitzel could have been a bit thinner but the flavor was good the croque w/salad was solid! If we are ever in the area for dinner, I’d definitely go back to for the dinner menu.
Jennifer gave very good service. Fried risotto appetizer balls were pretty good but didn't require the cheese stuffed in it to be good. Trout dish was good. Lamb chop was not very flavorful - not very lamby tasting. Santorini dish was very basic but not bad. Cocktails were not good. Old fashioned was just bourbon on the rocks - no muddled sugar / simple syrup / grenadine, also no orange oil flavor and I'm not sure there was any bitters in it. London fog gin lemon cocktail thingy was very dry and bitter - maybe not my taste. Chocolate mousse was not smooth but kind of gummy - maybe over done in the mixer. Cappuccino was very similar to the instant stuff you get from gas station cappuccino dispensers.
