Love it! Authentic and super tasty brazilian food. The place kills all my cravings, the system is “pay per pound”, so you serve as much as you want and the prices are great!

The food here tastes like it's made with real care. Copacabana proves small spaces can be immaculate and cozy. Their customer treatment and menu choices are excellent. The flavors they create are outstanding. I appreciate the staff's positive attitude.

My server was extraordinary. Such a nice kid and seemed genuinely interested in what this old man was doing in Astoria on a Monday evening. And the Chano's Burrito was excellent. My server did recommend the Broccoli Burrito (not vegetarian) after I ordered. And great prices on Happy Hour beers (this isn't Manhattan).

It’s one of those places that you think back to when you’re eating subpar Mexican for triple the cost. It’s the only place in nyc I recommend to everyone I can. Beautiful ⭐️ We have been to quite a few of these cantinas in Astoria but this one is great! Food fresh. Waitress nice. Drinks delicious. Atmosphere chill and relaxed. A good Mix of people, looking for good drinks and great food. The bartender makes great frozen drinks. Automatic 18% gratuity that we got at the other three cantina we visited in the past few weeks was NOT automatically applied here! This is the Place is a great place to eat, whether you’re beginning or ending your night. It was a welcome change from the average.

Very lovely place to dine. Food was delicious and the restaurant is very beautiful inside. Absolutely loved the mofongo, but every dish we ordered was awesome. The molcajete is great to try a bunch of different things, and it comes with tortillas. The sauce is quite salty and tangy, but still I highly recommend it. They have pretty generous “happy hour” hours, so before 7pm on weekdays you can get a good deal on some drinks!

Went there mid week at lunch, and the food was fantastic! The service was awesome, and music was on point. Good place to eat brunch and to hang out with your friends. The divorced enchiladas were great and came with a fair portion of rice and beans. The best part was that i left feeling good, not bloated or heavy after such a meal. Fair price for a good meal. Definitely recommend.

The BEST kept secret in Astoria! In an area jammed with great restaurants, Chano’s takes first prize!! Every time we go I find myself saying “This is the best _____ I’ve ever had in my life.” Literally cannot miss with this menu, all the brunch and dinner options are excellent - even the more “American” options like the pasta or burger are to die for. Best of all the prices are incredibly decent for the quality of dishes you get! And oh man don’t get me started on how good the drinks and deserts are! Best Burritos I have ever tasted in Mexican Restaurant. I order the Pastor Burrito recommended by the chef himself and WOW 🤩. My husband had the salmon and we also shared the calamari and the Buffalo wings. O...M...G!!!! You’ve gotta try the food here. We have to come back.

This place is great if one is looking for a variety of two different types in a cuisine. They have BBQ + Buffet and Buffet + Salad bar. Their salad bar and the buffet is quite okay and has a good spread. The BBQ has steaks and can be made to your liking. The portion-size or its weight dictates the price, however, the staff over there are not too strict and that's a good thing. Free soft drinks to go. Price is reasonable at $11.99 & $10.99 respectively. Nice cosy place with business-like table and chairs and they also have take aways.

Chano’s Cantina is a must-visit! The Eggs on Steak is a perfect combination of flavors—succulent steak topped with perfectly cooked steak and eggs. The atmosphere is warm, and the staff is welcoming. I highly recommend this dish for lunch. Great experience overall!

Stopped by to order some food- you choose what meats you would like from the BBQ then choose what other additional items- this then is weighed and you pay was around $42. I thought was a bit pricey but it was an enjoyable meal which we shared.

The food was average but definitely overpriced being sold by weight. They didn't have too much variety for the side dishes. The meats were kinda dry and the lamb had too much fat. I also didn't like the buffet concept, it was too small & you have to reach over the food to get to the back side. It was a ok first try, but just not for me.

They used to season their rices, now they're all bland. That's a shame, because all of the food used to be delicious. Overall, now the food is just above average. Also, to the owner: yes, this place offers a small buffet and delicious freshly grilled meats, but it IS a SELF SERVE restaurant. Your prices are now very close to a table service restaurant. If you close that gap any further, you'll lose business - including mine.

First time ordering on July 10. Was a bit disappointed. We ordered the Broccoli burrito w chicken, grilled corn, ground beef tacos and chips and guacamole. Called for recommendations and the gentleman who answered was so kind and very sweet. Staff is clearly amazing. He said the broccoli burrito was a popular item. Didn't hate it, but wasn't in love either. I felt like it was a nice size, well balanced as far as ingredients and well priced. They offer a chicken or shrimp add-on. Would have been nice if steak was also an option. Maybe I would like the steak? Guac and chips were pretty good. Was most disappointed by the ground beef tacos. They are a rare menu item to find so I was happy to see them as an offering. These tacos were incredibly dry. It gave the impression that it isn't an item often ordered because it tasted like it was thrown together. The ground beef seemed like a hamburger patty that was overcooked and poorly chopped up and thrown into the shell. The meat had good flavor but SO DRY (see photos). The pico and lettuce did nothing to add moisture and there was no sour cream but I don't even think those things could save it. Perhaps they were having an off night. They offer complimentary hot sauces and there is one that is spicy and offers a tropical note like mango or pineapple and that was a pleasant surprise. We also did not receive the grilled corn, but instead received a chicken sandwich w fries. Perhaps they had no corn or it was a mistake. Nice gesture, but it would have been nice to see if we wanted another app instead. Would try them again, but the tacos need a lot of work. Seem to have their regular patrons/friends flooding their pages with great reviews (where no actual discussion of the food is occurring) after I have posted mine in an attempt to keep the avg. high. The avg. will stay high if the food is good. Period.

The barbecue guy doesn’t ask how much meat you want on your plate—he just cuts a piece that he thinks is the right portion for you. Also, the cashier could have a better professional treatment.

A bit too expensive for what was provided. Just some constructive criticism to explain the two stars rating. It was a Friday evening and I decided to give them a try. Was interested in something healthy. A chicken salad is always the way to go and I have had other chicken salads from restaurants in the area and was very pleased. The menu is outside the restaurant. Says the salad is twelve and chicken four dollars extra. See photo. Ok. After reading the menu I decided to go inside. Yeah well. Bait and switch. As I watched them enter the order into the system, I noticed chicken was 5 dollars extra. The salad 13. Hmmm. 18 dollars when it should have been 16. I asked about the discrepancy. The guy admitted the menu was old and didn’t even attempt to honor the price as on the menu. I was Hungry at the time and decided to go with the order. The salad was way too small. I wasn’t filled or satisfied. Still hungry. Look at the other salad. Twice as big. I just checked and they even have the menu on Google Maps saying the salad is 12 and chicken is 4. I think the guy deliberately ripped me off. Well I won’t stand for it and I am letting everyone know The guy should have honored the other price but he was greedy and this is the price you pay for being greedy with customers over two dollars. I can just imagine how they rip other customers off in other ways. As the saying goes, Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice you never fool me again

I paid the weight of the plate. It should be illegal. Usually I spend around 20$. This time I spent 37$. Almost fraudolent cashier. This was thsi past Saturday at lunchtime.

Cashier places a heavy dish on top of the weight, and then weights plates or container separately, adding about 1/3 lb to every time they weigh a plate. Simply dishonest, will not be coming back. Also, griller didn’t ask for a meat term and just stated cutting, when we asked, he said that was the only term he had - false. Ended up with a burned cut and a cold raw one he had on the side. $85 for two adults and a 7 and 4 year old.
