Any time I order from this location it has been consistently fresh and tasty for me. Is it pricey? Sure but not by much and everything around here is. I rather eat this than McDonald's who are way more overpriced and not even freshly made like it is here. And when I compare to what I'm getting here vs the fast food options this is worthy of my patronage. Also the staff is genuinely friendly whenever I come.

Chiddy’s just converted me into a full‑blown Philly cheesesteak believer. And trust me, I did not walk in expecting that. I stopped by Chiddy’s on 1/19/26 after my boyfriend picked the spot, and since I’ve never been big on cheesesteaks, I figured it’d be just another casual bite. Instead, it turned into one of those meals you keep thinking about long after you’ve left. We went all in on the menu: Chiddy’s Signature Cheesesteak, The Squealin’ Philly, Chicks on a Ranch, and a trio of empanadas — Nutella banana, apple, and beef & cheese. The moment the food hit the table, the cheesesteaks were literally steaming hot. The bread alone deserves its own round of applause — crisp on the outside, soft and pillowy inside, the kind of bread that makes you close your eyes for a second. My boyfriend instantly crowned Chiddy’s Signature as his winner. The cheez-wiz wasn’t just slapped on top; it was blended beautifully throughout the meat, giving every bite that perfect creamy, savory hit. Quality meat, perfect balance, zero shortcuts. But my heart was completely stolen by Chicks on a Ranch. I’m not exaggerating when I say this Philly was unforgettable. The chicken was perfectly breaded and full of flavor, the ranch was next-level delicious, and the cheddar tied everything together like it was crafted by someone who really understands comfort food. Solid 10/10. The Squealin’ Philly? Also incredible — savory, packed with flavor and you can't go wrong adding bacon. The empanadas were a fun surprise. The Nutella banana one was straight-up dangerous. I could order that every single day and never get tired of it. We ate inside, and the restaurant itself is small, cute, spotless, and welcoming. The cook was fantastic, the service was warm, and the whole experience felt like discovering a hidden gem you immediately want to tell everyone about. Final verdict: Chiddy’s is absolutely worth the trip. I walked in indifferent to cheesesteaks and walked out planning my next visit. Hit them up! Didn't remember to take a picture till after we dug in! We ate every bite after that.

This was my lunch vibe today. The decor, the Christmas music, the tree and friendly staff. Pair that with this delicious, hot, juicy cheese steak. It feels like a cozy warm hug on this cold gloomy day. If you need a pick me up this winter, then you gotta pay Chiddy’s a visit!

One of the best Cheesteaks spots in the city. Service was great, food was fresh and the decor was chill. Menu prices for the quality of cheesesteak is close to none. I’ve been to old city, Feroras, Rocco’s and can say this is another great addition.

From its modest origins as a food truck to its current brick and mortar, Chiddy's has carved a niche for itself that has been over done, but the difference is that Astoria/Sunnyside residents get to enjoy a decent Philly that isn't overpriced. The ambiance at Chiddy's is a warm and inviting atmosphere that is playful but not tacky decor. Whether one opts for a cozy dine-in experience or a quick takeaway, I'm sure you'll enjoy what they have to offer. Chiddy's truly shines with how each cheesesteak is meticulously crafted, merging the great ingredients with traditional techniques to produce a symphony of flavors that will make Gritty tackle someone. Despite their growth, they have managed to retain the essence of their humble beginnings. With that being said, Chiddy's understands that they aren't trying to reinvent the wheel. They take what they do seriously and that's something that needs to be appreciated. If you're craving a Philly cheese or any type of finger food drenched in cheese, pay a visit to Chiddy's. Also shout out to the staff working there, they were incredibly nice and made the experience more inviting.

I’ve only ever tried them in Citi Field, but they recently opened a new location in Astoria. I ordered the below: Beef and Cheddar Empanada, Cheesesteak Empanada and Banana Nutella Empanada (3 for $5). The dough was crispy, light and was perfectly fried. Not at all greasy. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed these. My favorite was the Cheesesteak Empanada which was sooo good! Followed closely by the Banana Nutella Empanada. The bananas were slightly too ripe, in my opinion, but the fried Nutella made up for it. It was very messy to eat but so delicious. Junior Chiddy’s Signature with just onions and cheddar ($12). It was a bit pricey for the Junior, which was 7 inches long, but it was also very filling. It had thinly sliced steak mixed with sauteed onions and a couple of slices of melted cheddar. The roll was soft and chewy and held up while eating. The meat with the cheddar was slightly too salty for me. I should probably have gotten the cheese wiz instead. Small order of Sweet Potato Fries ($7). Delicious and not too greasy. I usually like to dip sweet potato fries into ranch dressing, so I was really wishing it came with some dipping sauce. Alas, it did not. With a purchase of cheesesteak and any side, you get a free drink, and I got a can of sprite. Overall, I was very satisfied with the meal. I wasn’t wowed by the sandwich but really loved the empanadas. Will be back to try some other items on their menu. Tip: Ear Reward Dollars when you sign up for their Rewards program by giving your phone number

Price wise it is expensive. I also paid for onions and mushrooms which I never got so it was disappointing.

Mistakes happen and I was looking for a number to contact them; there is none. I won’t order again because If I were to report my 1st and 2nd order is the wrong item then Uber would flag me. They also don’t have a phone number to contact them anywhere, which is not good for a business.

Ordered on UberEats. The steak and cheese had extremely hard bits of meat in it that we couldn’t even bite through. The crispy chicken honestly just didn’t taste good. Very unimpressed by these sandwiches and did not have a good experience .
