Cozy and delightful little spot. So glad I stopped in. Delicious coffee drinks. The bourbon banana muffin was fabulous too. Super friendly staff, comfy atmosphere, fantastic music.
Sonbobs is a quaint and cozy little cafe nestled in the heart of residential 28th avenue in Astoria, equally accessible by the 30th avenue and Astoria Blvd train stations. Mismatched cozy seating with just a couple tables inside, you can also sit outside on the sidewalk and staff are happy to accommodate more outdoor seating if you ask. Excellent coffee from Porto Rico Roasting is served for hot coffee iced coffee (with or without coffee cubes!) and espresso drinks, and they also have organic loose tees for hot and iced, plus many breakfast and lunch options including their signature sandwich on toasted garlic bread, fresh baked cookies, muffins and cupcakes daily. A neighborhood favorite with loyal regulars ☺️
Quirky little cafe. I've gotten quality coffee here but today... I got a really delicious ham sandwich. It was on a toasted garlic roll which was amazing and it had some greens and pickles on top. I would go on a limb and say this is the best ham sandwich I've ever had or made.
One of my neighborhood favorites in Astoria. It's a super cozy place where anyone can feel welcomed. The coffee is great, the coffee ice cubes are fantastic and the baked goods are supreme. Everything I've eaten there — including sandwiches — has that 'made-at-home' intangible deliciousness. And — additionally — everyone who works there is a treasure! Lucky us!
An absolute gem. Small cozy little cafe that has everything you could need for a midday break from your office work/desk job. The space is eclectic, colorful and has so much personality - think “whozits and whatzits galore.” Not to mention merch, candles and trinkets! People seems to rave about the baked goods, so I went ahead and got the orange cupcake w orange buttercream and omg - I ate it like an overexcited messy child. Definitely recommend - also, the owner is super sweet!! Stop by and support local/small business 🧡
This sweet little cafe is made completely with love!! <3 I'm already excited to visit again! I got this beautiful & fresh fruit tart. It was delicious and not too sweet! Highly recommend!!
Great little coffee house on 28th Ave off the beaten path of 30th Ave on a sunny tree-lined street. Great coffee at a fair price and sweet treats. I love he Kahlua and espresso cupcakes. Charming atmosphere with a selection of jewelry and nicknacks for sale. Nice selection of teas, too.

I have become addicted to the baked goods. Not only is there delicious food, but a unique selection of items around the place. Staff are welcoming and the prices are great. Do yourself a favor and support such an amazing small business. The cupcakes have changed my life.
A true gem in Astoria! Fantastic coffee with even better prices. A very cute atmosphere with fun items for sale by local artists as well as Sonbobs merch. Don’t sleep on the baked goods! Great desserts for parties or muffins for breakfast.
cute coffee shop with great service!! just went for the first time and got a ham & cheese croissant that was super yummy and made fresh in front of me. I also got an iced latte which was really good!! can't wait to come back.

The iced coffee is consistently good and the coffee ice cubes are amazing if you like to sip an iced beverage slowly without fear of watering it down. I had a peach muffin with my coffee and it was beyond fresh, beyond tasty, and the perfect summer treat. Every time I walk in i’m reminded that this is a true community establishment, everything served is made with love and you can’t beat the prices. I can’t resist stopping in whenever I walk by.
This place is a gem! I stopped in after my neighbor’s recommendation. The owner, a very cool and kind lady, made one of the best tuna sandwiches I’ve ever had. It was made on toasted garlic bread with melted cheese and a layer of delicious greens. I’ll be going back. Highly recommend!

Best coffee shop in the area. Prices are reasonable, the coffee is simple and strong. I’ve only ever gotten the tuna melt to eat but it was excellent and satisfying. One of the only coffee places in the area that doesn’t feel corporate or like it’s trying to be something it’s not.

It's not often that I go to a place 3 times and all 3 times everything is great. Well Sonbobs is that place!!! The cool calm eclectic vibes are on point. The coffee is stellar and made with care. Last but not least the woman who owns/runs the place is kind and friendly. I walk past 4 coffee shops on my way to Sonbobs!! Love this place

Coffee drinks and teas were good and pretty standard (got an iced tea and hot coffee). Seating is tough- two tables and a bench. Lots of random tchotchkes for sale. Interesting place!
