If you know, you know. This deli is my go-to spot for tacos. Every single time I go, I get the cecina asada (steak) quesadillas ( it’s crunchy tacos) and it never disappoints. The flavor is always on point, seasoned perfectly, and cooked just right. If you go, make sure you get the green sauce i recommend you call before you go so it’s ready!
Ordered 7 quesadillas with my friends. Very delicious. Steak was tender, great amount of cheese and meat. It was so good my friend went back 5 min later to get 3 more. Plus store has Mexican candies. This place needs more customers. Confused on why it has 4 stars only, they deserve more. Guy in the front was really nice too. Whatever is in the green sauce is freaking delicious !!!
Hands down top 3 Taco spots in all of NY. The crunchy tacos in the picture are called quesadillas when you order them. Idk why but they are. I ordered chicken and steak and they’re both great. All my friends that I’ve taken here have been surprised that one of the greatest tacos are hidden in a Deli and are always coming back. Don’t be fooled. It’s just another NYC hidden gem
The food is delicious and the service is great! Candido is the best! (I hope I spelled his name correctly) he was super sweet both on the phone and in person. His vibe alone would have me returning! Prices are unbeatable. 2 chicken quesadillas in the pic, classic and delicious. Green sauce is fire.
This use to be ST James deli located in 34-02 34th ave 11106 ANYWAYS DONT WASTE YOUR TIME ORDERING TACOS!! Go to a NEXT LEVEL AND ORDER THE QUESADILLAS 🌮 they are the best you will never find anything like what they sell ( service is sometimes not the best but this freaking quesadillas are worth it )

Great food but they need to indicate on their menu if something is spicy 🌶️. I’ve had enchiladas at other places before but they were not spicy. The spice level was off the charts. I broke out in a rash on my face and had bathroom issues because of it. Even my urine was burning me releasing the spice. My lips were burning. I can handle spicy but this was atomic. Please indicate that on your menu. Otherwise great food. My face is still red this morning. Yikes 😬

Insanely tasty when paired with the green sauce! Also I should point out that there isn't a dine-in option to my knowledge.

I love this store! I used to come here all the time when I went to the school opposite the deli, and I will definitely be coming back long after I graduate! The food is delicious and reasonably priced, perfect for a quick bite or lunch. I really like their quesadillas, which have a crispy shell and are topped with lettuce and queso. I also like their empanadas which are crispy, fried, and flavorful. They also sell many Hispanic snacks and products. Would definitely recommend!
I’ve been ordering from Taco Deli Spot for years - they’ve been my favorite Mexican spot for a long time! You really can’t get any better in the area. The quality and care that goes into the food, it really tastes like they make it with love. Insanely good prices too!

This place is so under appreciated! The tacos aren’t great BUT the quesadillas are AMAZING, and the chopped cheese is probably the best in Astoria. The prices are solid and when getting delivery it’s always been on time and correct.
I just get their steak quesadilla and it’s amazing! Cheesy and crunchy! With two you get pretty full! I didn’t give them a 5 star because their store hours are all over the place. It has been closed for the past two weeks but their site continues to say they are open. More attention to store details are needed!
Solid spot if you're up past 11pm and hungry. Everything felt fresh. The salsas could use a bit more kick.

I never write reviews but, They used Kraft singles on the nachos. They.used.Kraft.singles.on.the.nachos. They could have 86’d the cheese and put sour cream instead. But Kraft? Their quesadillas are amazing so I was in SHOCK to pay as much as I did for the nachos with Kraft they lacked so much love. I come here at least twice a month. So disappointed. Order the quesadillas or flautas, & avoid the nachos at all cost.

I used to love this place for the soup and quesadillas, empanadas after today how the soup came, first an foremost it never came like that. It usually comes with a foil with some lime, onions & parsley. Also it did not look the same from all of the other times I ordered it. The taste was indescribably disgusting it tasted old even the cheese empanadas tasted sour. I took 2 spoonfuls of soup and couldn’t continue. Usually it’s so delicious but now I’m not ordering from there ever again.
I’m an African American male trying to pick up a door dash order at night ….we have to enter a number to confirm the order ….the lady inside was extremely racist..she refused to give me the order because she felt I was trying to steal the food …September 27,2023 at 2:00 am ….i don’t recommend going here if ur not they own race ….if ur Spanish ur good to go…..if ur not Spanish just know u will be treated like ur garbage and filth ….all I’m trying to do is make money but yet still I was treated like a suspect ….she needs to go asap ….its going to become a serious problem if she’s still there….worst customer service I had ever dealt with

TERRIBLE SERVICE, THEY MESSED UP MY ORDER & WONT ADMIT TO THEIR ERROR OVER ONE TACO!!! THEY ARE DOING BADDD, LIKE IF IM TRYNA STEAL A TACO, THEY GONNA CHECK THE CAMERA & SEE THEY ONLY PUT 3 TACOS, TERRIBLE SERVICES

Burrito of enchilada tasted like shxt. Im mexican and this is not it. They dont know how to cook a simple burrito and lettuce is rotten. Enchilada wasn’t even cooked properly and had other bunch of meats in it besides enchilada. Smh
Ordered a chicken quesadilla and I seen a bug inside my plate crawling! I took a video on Snapchat and sent it to a friend but didn’t save it sadly. It was disgusting. Please do better! Never ordering from here again. Dirty people
