Opinions de The Teapsy Astoria
My favorite bubble tea place. They have high quality ingredients and let you choose sugar and ice levels. If youre tired of the usual taro bubble tea from a powder, you'll be pleasantly surprised at their products.
Great local joint for bubble tea! I regularly get the sakura rose tea with lychee jelly while my partner gets oolong milk, half sweet. Both are very different teas and both are made very well here. :)
Really great bubble tea spot! They have all the favorite milk and fruit tea flavors (honeydew, rose, taro, Thai tea) and the boba itself is delicious. My personal favorite is the lavender rose milk tea with boba!
As a bubble tea fanatic, I can’t recommend this place enough. I’ve been coming here for months and have always enjoyed my drink. This is a top quality bubble tea spot with tons of options, always made quick and fresh
The tea is great, hot or cold, bubbles or not. They always have some muffins or cookies or something inexpensive to add to your order as a good small snack. The location is a couple blocks east (on 30th Ave) from the 30th Ave stop on the N and W trains. They have common flavors and some fancy flavors; I've had most of them and I'm always satisfied.
Best tea in astoria. They have a great collection of rose teas. I would be upset if this place closed down. Get a frequent flier rewards card so you can get a free drink after buying a few. It's a cozy spot. There is no bathroom for its customers. There is on street metered parking.
The tea they serve is top notch; at least for me. 😊 The people who work here are always very happy and kind and also it's just plain wonderful to have a good bubble tea spot close to home in Astoria. Yay! 5/5!
nick always gives me the best service, been going here for over a year now and never had any issues. definitely suggest this place as a go to for boba
Friendly staff and cozy environment. The Oreo Coffee Frappe is my all-time favorite in the summer. Their Rose Milk Tea is also delicious. It's creamy and the sweetness is perfect to my taste.
Great service and tasty choices like Original Milk Tea to Gingseng honey lemon tea, highly recommend in this hood !
Best boba ever! My partner and I love coming here; we get bubble tea so often that we've gotten a few free drinks (ten stamps until you get a free one). Always happy with the selections, including the seasonal offerings. Love that they offer both almond and coconut milk. And their matcha really is better than Starbucks, too!!
just as good as the first bubble tea I had here over 5 years ago!
The best bubble teashop I've been to. The staff working there are super friendly and helpful if you don't know which drink to order just ask for a reccomendation, I usually feel anxious ordering but the atmosphere there is so wholesome. I personally love 'Sakura rose milk tea' and 'coconut strawberry frappe' a bit pricey but its worth it. They also sell Mochi, Tiramisu, and macarons; they are all amazing. The only store I come to for bobaaa
Cozy spot on 30th ave that makes probably the best bubble tea in all of NYC. Tons of variety. I get something different every time I am there, and it never disappoints. They also have a good rewards program if you're a frequent visitor. Free tea every ten purchases I am pretty sure. Give love to these guys.
All the teas, flavored drinks, and milk are natural ingredients unlike a lot of other bubble tea shops. No powdered teas that has the milk and sugar mixed in already. It's a bit pricey, around 4.00 and some change for a small and 6ish for a large and 50 cents extra for any toppings. I wish they would have herbal jelly but they don't. My favorite drink is their new Sakura Rose Milk Tea. I like rose milk tea a lot but the Sakura one is really floral, just the way I like it. I ask the staff member for help picking and she recommended it to me and I love it!
I'm not typically a fan of tea, but Teapsy offers a variety of interesting and novel flavors that I NEED to try! The baristas are always friendly and willing to help me make a decision when I can't choose between rose or blueberry (the STRUGGGGLE). I usually don't do sweetened beverages either, but these teas are THAT good! Perfect on a day when you just don't want coffee.
This bubble tea shop has a nice mix of hot and cold drink options as well as some sweet pastry items to choose from as well. It has a good amount of seating inside. We ordered a coconut milk tea and a tres leches cold brew. It's a little pricy compared to the serving size but it was very delicious. Service was friendly and fast.
Police was nice and clean. Service was friendly probably the best bubble tea ever had. I got the coconut and strawberry and it was delicious. The Boba was nice and fresh just had some good looking desserts in there as well but I didn’t try those but that cream puff they have looks pretty delicious
Came in here to tame my child with strawberry bobba tea. And it worked. Until she dropped it 100 feet outside the store. My ice coffee was definitely way better than Dunkin’ Donuts. And those creme puffs were gigantic. Like Apple-sized. And super tasty. Weird how this place gets all 5 or 1 star reviews. I suspect shenanigans with the 1 star ones. Everything was just fine here. And friendly. Yeah, it’s expensive. Just like everything else is nowadays.
I’m always a regular at teapsy, their beverages are always amazing. The works are so nice to costumers. overall they have the best drinks here and good sizes and prices. Best boba you will ever have!!
I really enjoyed this drink I tried The rose tea and the towel milk tea as well they were both lovely guitar was on the sweet side but I did like it. I added tapioca pearls (boba) & lychee jelly.
Great boba tea! I've had the tres leches and the brown sugar varieties so far. They begin serving boba at around 12:20 p.m. though they open at noon, so take note if you're in the mood for boba earlier in the day. My friends really love the non-dairy options, too!
I love this place! I've already completed one stamp card and I'm almost done with the second. Goes to show how much I love this place. The workers that attend me are friendly & have no issue explaining what certain drinks taste like (like if it's a strong flavor, more floral than fruity, similar to another flavor, etc.). I love how the moment I walked in one day, the guy at the register told me the guava yogurt drink I've been dying to try out was finally in stock. (Sorry, you'd think I'd know their names by now bc of all the times I've been here.) Was the guava yogurt drink worth the wait? In my opinion, YES. It's different from the other fruity drinks I've had, and it's not an overpowering sweet taste, but you can still taste a guava flavor. It'll be one of my go to flavors when the weather gets warmer, for sure. But my absolute favorite tea that was recommended is the peach hibiscus. Hot or cold, it tastes SO GOOD. The tapioca is also made perfectly. Not too chewy, not too hard, not overly sweet, not plain, not bitter-- just right. I have yet to try the other toppings, but I'll get there. I'll try it all some day. The bf approves of the jasmine milk tea (hot and cold), and he says it's just as good (possibly even better) than Ten Ren's jasmine milk tea. I appreciate the fact that any drink that is made with milk can be subbed with oat, almond, soy, or coconut milk. I'm never there on time to taste the muffins or other baked pastries, but the one time that I was-- the blueberry muffin was moist & the right amount of sweet. 10,000 stars for you, Teapsy.
This place has the most variety in a menu and all of the options sound delicious! I got the lavender rose milk tea and it was absolutely perfect. The boba were cooked perfectly as well. Definitely worth the trip and will definitely be coming back.
Love having this spot in the neighborhood. Taro, Brown Sugar milk, and Rose milk tea are my favorites. Sometimes I find rose flavor can be hit or miss, but Teapsy has it just right. Appreciate that non-dairy milk is not an extra charge.
Great bubble tea. Quick service and they offer 10% off for students! Got the lavender rose tea, and peach hibiscus tea #sogood

As a cream puff fanatic, HANDS DOWN BEST CREAM PUFF IN NYC currently. Really replicated the OG japanese cream puffs i had in japan and taiwan. Authentic!!!! So good I HAVE to have at least 1 every week delivered. And its super fresh. Used to make cream puffs as a side gig in college and this is better than anything else in the city. And of course being pregnant, everytime I have a mild sweets craving I get a cream puff from teapsy. Ugh drooling as I write this even though I just scarfed one down. Shouldve bought two!!!

This is a very small but very modern and well-designed shop! I loved the lavender milk tea. Will be a neighborhood favorite. Only thing I don’t like is the price!
Had a lovely milk tea, but I gotta knock them at least one star. Definitely caught them red-handed selling Costco muffins for $5 a piece (because I literally just bought the exact same kind a few days ago). Still though, I would recommend their tea selections!

Nice spot with a lot of coffee based and other interesting bubble tea flavors. However, bubble tea without that pop through top is just not the same vibe

Fast, but tapioca didn't seem fresh or flavorful and the drink had a strong plastic taste to it
A medium HK coffee milk tea with boba cost $5.93 (no tip). Very average flavor. Boba was very hard and needs a little bit more sweetness to it

I was super excited to try the Toffee Nut Tres Leches Milk Tea after seeing it online. Unfortunately, it looked and tasted nowhere near as good as expected. They forgot to add the whipped cream on top, and the drink just tasted like weird sweetened plastic milk with no actual tea flavor. The boba were also soggy and flavorless. Very disappointed, would not come back.

i ordered a tea from here, and complimented their drink and asked if i could charge my phone, since i have to catch a flight in <2 hours and my phone is on 3%, in a city i have never been in. the cashier says yes, and i notice there is 1 plug there as the other one in the customer lobby is being used. so i pull a chair from the front, to sit by the plug that i was allowed to use while i waited/drank my tea. within 10 minutes, and an additional 1% my phone charged up to, 3 or 4 different people came up to me and all told me different reasons why i cannot sit there, why i cannot charge my phone, that i cannot use the seat i’m using, that i can’t charge my phone in there while customers are coming in, that i can’t charge my phone in that specific spot, even though there wasn’t any other outlet. there weren’t any other customers in the store, so i really don’t understand what the big deal was. i thought it was extremely disrespectful to continuously find any reason to get me to leave when i ordered from them, tipped, and asked if i could do a very basic task such as charge my phone. i sat quietly in a seat and did not bother anyone. whatever the reason they wanted me to leave is, i hope the rest of their week was awful. 0/10 customer service. unbelievably confusing and dishonest.
Every time I’ve ordered from there I really dislike the flavor- taste chemically, and very very sweet. The two times I’ve gotten it Ive not drank more than a couple of sips.
Yeah, so this place yesterday evening refused to give me an empty plastic cup to put water for my foster dog from the water bottle I had, so that she can drink because she was thirsty. They asked if I was a customer or did I purchase any product, I said no, I just would like an empty plastic cup, they asked why, I said for my dog to drink, I need to put water in a cup for her to be able to drink, they said no we can’t do that, “no”????? For a plastic empty cup???? For a dog to drink????? What the hell is wrong with this place? Not even a one star is enough
Don’t come here and expect a refund or a new drink if they mess up your order today the lady (apparently she’s the manager) there mixed up my order and didn’t want to make me a new one, she says you can buy it again and she’ll fix it and give 10% off it.. like what happen to valuing the customer satisfaction, never got into a situation like that, other food or drink place refund you or give you another with no hesitation.. Good drinks but poor customer care
I was waiting for a good 10 minutes on line to order just to be asked to put on a mask. I respectfully declined & left the place The mask mandate has been lifted, it’s inappropriate to ask customers to put it on. Anyway, CoCo fresh tea & juice was nearby & gave me no issues. These people are wildin
This used to be one of my favorite boba places, but the quality has gone way downhill over the last couple of years. The last two times I went, their beverages had a bad aftertaste, as though the water they’re using to steep their tea was dirty dishwater. Will never go back. Infinitea is just steps away and is miles above teapsy—you can tell they put more effort and care into their product, and the service is great.
I recently ordered a bubble tea through the store's online website, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The drink I received looked nothing like the image displayed on the site, which clearly showed it topped with whipped cream—a big reason I chose it. When I went back into the store to ask about it, the staff didn’t offer to fix the order or add the whipped cream. Instead, they simply said, “It’s just a picture,” and if I wanted whipped cream, he was going to charge me extra. which felt dismissive and unprofessional. This kind of response, along with the misleading image, amounts to false advertisement and left me frustrated with both the product and the customer service. I hope the store updates their images to reflect what customers are actually buying. The drinks I purchased did not taste well. This tea shop is not the same as before. Keep in mind it's a "Frappe."
I visited this location because of all the flavors they have, I order the Tres leches frappe it did not meet my expectations 😩the flavor was way off it tasted like regular water down coffee.
Service and atmosphere are great, the rose milk tea and tres leche we got was so so so bad, it was milk and water. Will not return! Also, the drinks are too expensive.

Recently passed by, the drink was just ok, boba was a little bit tasteless. the person taking the order was a little bit cold. decent spot if you live nearby Update: I went again with my friends and my drink had way too much sugar, the dude working the front was extremely rude as well. Not getting dragged back into here nor my friends will again.
Worst bubble tea I’ve ever had. Visited this location while in the area. Inquired about the menu and customization options. They said they don’t do any customizations, meaning you can’t request light ice, extra milk, less tea etc in your beverage. I went for the safest option that I get when in doubt at all other boba shops. Brown sugar boba. It was hard chewy boba with a soggy exterior in a way too sweet syrup mixed with milk and ice. It was horrible and the best way I can describe it is like someone attempting to make it at home but missing completely. Plus they give it in a plastic solo cup overflowing through the straw hole. Very messy. Staff was also pretty dry and unhelpful
