Opinions de What The Fish Astoria
Valerie was amazing. She was very attentive and kind. She cared a lot for me and the food was amazing and the drinks were great! Definitely will come again
I went there with my friend for Saturday night and I definitely loved the atmosphere of the place. The staff were very attentive, and the manager Felipe was very kind and always attentive on our satisfaction on service. The food in What The Sushi is really good, I highly recommend to order Sushi-charron, surprisingly crunchy and delicious; the cocktails were more than perfect. I can’t wait to be back there again.
Everything was great! The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. The drinks were honestly some of the best I've personally had in a while. The ambience was dark and intimate filled with Japanese influence. The Dj was definitely a vibe. We went on a Saturday night and it was great. 10/10. Would definitely visit again.
beautiful place, would recommend to everyone. the staff is great and Valeria is amazing. Such a great server made the vibe so much better
Our waitress Lady was amazing. Very patient and attentive. Great food, drinks, and vibes. Would recommend
It was a very good experience. My group of friends and I went to enjoy the All You Can Eat, and everything was great. To start, we had to order a drink (any drink) and then pay the $20 to eat all the sushi we wanted. All the sushi rolls were delicious, especially the plantain one. The atmosphere was pleasant, the staff was very friendly, and the accommodations were good. The drinks were delicious, and I'm not lying when I say the sushi was delicious too, so much so that I didn't even have a break to take a picture of them. Lol. In the end, we spent $276 between 5 people, including $20 each, 6 cocktails, taxes, and tips. Which I think is pretty good considering all you can eat.
I’m came with a fried for dinner with the all storm situation, thanks god we find a good spot open, Our server Valeria came every 10 minutes to check on us, making sure everything was going in the perfect way, we had some lovely cocktail on the happy hour, and a lot of shot, with good sushi and music. Perfect day, thanks guys to stay open on this storm, and thanks Valeria
My friend brought me here as a surprise and I wasn’t sure what to expect. This was a beautiful surprise. The drinks are all delicious and well priced. There is a good variety of foods that made it tough to pick where to start, but that’s what three sushi specials are for!
Lady was an amazing server. Very attentive made sure we had all of our food and it tasted great!
The food was absolutely amazing, every dish was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. The service was incredible from start to finish, and Valeria was such a wonderful server—The vibe was great too, warm and inviting, which made it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the night. I’ll definitely be coming back! 😊
Everything was great! Food, service, decor, music, vibe! We had the pork gyoza, eel unagi, chicken teriyaki and Asian honey shrimp with fried rice. To drink we had the strawberry and mango frozen margarita patron. Nicholas was our waiter. He was knowledgeable, professional and attentive. Looking forward to going back!
As soon as you walk in, you feel the vibe, party night life. Something I personally enjoy in restaurants. They have really good selections of drinks to choice from, old fashioned to nice specialty drinks. I got the Frozen Patron Mango it was really good. There are different foods you can choose from and the ones I’ve picked were good, but I highly recommend the shrimp Mac and Cheese by far the tastiest food I’ve had in this place (it is an appetizer). Lastly the service, my server Nicolas was very nice and energetic from the moment we got our seats. Explained well with any questions my group had about the menu, always checked up on us to make sure we were doing good. Refilled our drinks/water as well has cleaned our table when we were done with each item. I would come back and would ask for Nicolas I like a server that made sure we were well taken care of and felt like we mattered.
The vibes are amazing, the drinks are really good and the food is great also. The servers are also really sweet and on point, they make recommendations and are very attentive so all around this place is definitely a must try!
I just had the best AYCE sushi experience. We went there on Thursday so the deal was 20$ But you must order a drink and it’s about 12$ and there is 18% service fee for even party of one. You’ll ended up paying 40$ total for AYCE sushi on Thursday which is a great deal. And we loved the sushi there! Very nice and charming waitress.
I have nothing bad to say. The drinks 10/10. The vibes 10/10. We tried the plantain appetizer it was okay 7/10. The sushi platter was delicious as well. We would highly recommend this spot for date night. Music was good too! Our waitress was also so sweet. We came on a Tuesday it wasn’t busy but the waitresses were still great and knowledgeable!
This place is the best place to hang out with your girls , or even celebrate a birthday . I can honestly say this place is worth your money , the food was phenomenal and fresh. However the drinks were so out of this world to the presentation to the taste everything was just great . We didn’t have to wait for table it was one available it was nice and spacious. The waitress was very friendly and nice however we had to yell a bit or get closer to her in order for her to get our orders due to the music being very loud but the DJ added to the highlight of the night so it wasn’t any trouble having to yell a bit. This place I highly recommend for a girls night out and even to celebrate your birthday.
Came here to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday and we had such a great time! The service was excellent — Ivanna took amazing care of us and made sure everything was perfect. The food was delicious, the music was great, and the atmosphere was just right for a fun and memorable night. Highly recommend!
I really like the atmosphere. It was my first time at this place. I live in Pennsylvania and someone recommended it to me, and I was amazed. Excellent service and delicious food. The girl Laura (la bunny) who helped us provided excellent service and was very friendly.
I feel like this place is too under hyped . The music is fire, so atmosphere is fire, the service is amazing . There was a performance of dancers and the staff was so interactive with their costumers . Two round of free shots for everyone in the restaurant . One round consisted of the specialty shots they have on the menu. Strong and amazing ! Ivana was so sweet and made our anniversary dinner so lovely. Def would come back to celebrate a birthday here.
I had a great time here! I know everyone seems weary about the service but we were accommodated pretty well- and it was a busy night so highly recommend making reservations! The drinks were really creative and the presentations for the entrees were fantastic- I highly recommend the Asian honey shrimp! You definitely taste the Latin&Japanese Fusion for sure in the signature rolls!
I had a great time- the food was really good and the DJ was playing hits all night. I would definitely recommend if you’re looking to go out somewhere in Astoria.
Went today with my cousins. Our waiter Nicolas was absolutely magnificent! All of the food and drink suggestions he made were so on point. The sushi we had was AMAZING! It was so good, we had to get another round of sushi. The drinks and dessert were great as well! Such a cute vibe, great music and I Cant wait to go back.
Me and my Bf went for all you can eat, Leidy was our server explained everything wonderfully she was super nice also food was very good we had a great time. Definitely will be back.
I walked in because the Halloween decor looked amazing, and I’m so glad I did! The place has such a fun vibe, great music, energy, and atmosphere. I sat at the bar, and Karen was the best with her food recommendations and perfectly mixed drinks. The sushi rolls are a super cool mix of Asian and Latino flavors. Everything I tried was fresh and full of flavor. The drinks were on point, really creative and delicious. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to for the food, the vibe, and those spooky-fun decorations!
I went here with friends and honestly had such a good time. The food was really good, drinks were on point, and the staff was super chill and welcoming. Everything came out fast and tasted great, no complaints at all. Such a fun spot. Great food, great drinks, and the staff made the whole experience even better. Would definitely come back. Perfect place to hang, eat, and have a few drinks. We’ll for sure be back
My family and I visited this establishment yesterday for an early dinner. We had heard many positive reviews about the place, and we decided to give it a try. Upon entering, we were immediately struck by the warm and inviting ambiance, as well as the exceptional level of hospitality. We opted for the special all-you-can-eat menu, which offered a delightful selection of dishes for $20. We thoroughly enjoyed sampling every item on the menu, which was all of exceptional quality. The service was impeccable, and our server, Ana Maria, was particularly enthusiastic and engaging. This made our visit even more memorable. We highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a great dining experience.
Today’s experience was amazing. Valeria made the night unique for my friend and me. The All You Can Eat buffet had a great variety of food, the drinks were very good, and the best part was definitely the dessert (tres leches). We will definitely come back!
What the Fish Restaurant truly exceeded all expectations! The food was absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The ambiance was fantastic, creating the perfect setting for a fun night out. Thank you for a lovely evening with the girls! We’ll definitely be back!
Perfect spot for birthdays, dinner with friends, or BRUNCH. Amazing Food, GREAT service, loved the diverse music, overall 10 out of 10 would recommend. My server Bunny was super sweet, attentive, on point. The busboy Alejandro was very professional and quick. The team was giving VIBES
What The Fish impressed across the board. The sushi rolls were fresh and flavorful, perfectly balanced with well-seasoned rice. The fried rice was savory and satisfying, packed with bold flavor in every bite. The short ribs were tender and beautifully glazed, rich without being too heavy. And the sweet chili shrimp had the perfect mix of crispy texture and sweet heat. Great food, vibrant atmosphere, and fantastic service—definitely a spot worth going back to.
The atmosphere is modern and welcoming, perfect for both a quiet dinner and a night out with friends. The sushi is delicious with great flavors. The service is also attentive and fast, and the cocktails are well-prepared. Definitely a place you'll want to return to.
I want to be informative about this place, and I'll try not to ramble. My go-to is the lunch special. I get chopped salmon, which is only $14.99 + tax. It's fried rice, mushrooms, and chopped salmon. The portion is very pleasing and is only second to the taste. For reference, I eat salmon at many places, and for me, it's been the best here. Moving on, I asked for the chef's name but was denied that information.I believe that chefs don't get enough credit. Really think about what the chef is responsible for when the dish tastes great or if it's just okay. If they ever change and the food isn't quite the same, I don't want to feel crazy wondering what happened to the quality (we have all been there). The ambiance is visually appealing when you come in, with nice lighting and seating arrangements. Lastly, the service. All I'm willing to say at this point is that it could be improved. If you ever need a manager, don't expect to ever see one, get their info, or get a call back. Even if you ask when they are in, you will be told they don't come in. I also have coworkers who won't come back to this place, but it really does matter who you speak with because a lot of the staff is great. I won't call out any names because I do want the place to improve, and the chef makes the food so good I just want to keep coming back. Hope this helps!
I recently visited What The Fish and had a great experience. The staff was friendly and attentive, the food came out quickly, and everything tasted fresh. The seafood was well-seasoned, and the portions were just right. The atmosphere is relaxed and perfect for a casual meal with friends. Overall, a solid spot if you’re craving good seafood and want a chill place to eat. I’d definitely come back.
WTFish is such a vibe! The DJ always plays great music, drinks are fun, and the food is consistently good - we’ve been here three times and it never disappoints. Our waitress Ivanna was so sweet and attentive, she really made the experience even better. Definitely one of my favorite Asian fusion spots on Queens!
Such a cool lounge-style sushi spot. The ambiance is warm and cozy but also feels like a bar vibe where you can hang out with friends. Sushi was fresh, drinks were on point, and the overall atmosphere makes you want to stay longer than planned. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a chill sushi + cocktail night in NYC.
Step into What The Fish in LIC and it feels like a celebration which neon lights, music in the air, and plates that dance between Latin soul and Asian edge. It’s the kind of spot where flavors spark, layer, and linger on your tongue. The fusion here is playful yet refined with bold spices, fresh ingredients, and unexpected pairings that create a story with every bite. The vibe is lively but not rushed perfect for nights when you want food that thrills and an atmosphere that buzzes with energy. Staffs are very friendly and attentive with big smiles. It’s a spot that reminds you why eating out in NYC is more than a meal. It’s an experience at What The Fish!
What the Fish absolutely lived up to the hype! They do walk ins but on weekends past till 8 reservations were recommended. Even if it’s for 2 people. The food was not only beautiful and creative, but every bite tasted just as good as it looked. The atmosphere was stunning—an incredible blend of Asian and Latin vibes that made the whole experience feel unique and vibrant. On top of that, the drinks were on point and the music set the perfect mood. Truly a spot where the energy, flavor, and style all come together flawlessly. If I had to suggest anything, it would be a little fine-tuning in service etiquette—things like having napkins, forks, and water already set so guests don’t have to keep asking, and maybe handling hookah charges either before it’s brought out or at the end of the night rather than mid-meal. Other than that, the overall experience was fantastic, and I’d absolutely come back again!
First time coming here from dinner, the atmosphere and music was a VIBE..... Our waitress Georgina was very attentive, kind, & quick with our service. The food was very delish we did the 3 speciality rolls with fried rice...amazing...we had drinks (mixed very well) tasty. We received house shots. Overall a great experience I will happily be back!!!
We found out about this wonderful spot via tiktok, the atmosphere was amazing! the place visibly decorated with beautiful lights, neon signs added its own beauty to the place. the music was incredible- definitely something you can vibe to. Our waitress, Natalia was out of this world with her kindness, smile and flawless hospitality. Even the other waitresses not assigned to us would reach out and ask us if anything was needed. The sushi was delicious and fresh, the dishes itself were very clean as well as the table/ seats when we arrived. Definitely recommend the all you can eat buffet of sushi for any sushi lovers out there - they are very generous with the time you have for it - an hour and a half and there’s no limit to how many rolls you order at once. Once again thank you natalia for the memorable experience!
I really loved What The Fish! I went to check out their “All You Can Eat” Thursday and it did not disappoint! My friend and I tried a few rolls including the rainbow roll, chicken tempura and loco roll among other items. Wasn’t thrilled with flan as dessert but would go back for the tres leches. I like the combination of flavors and all the options from seafood to chicken and other meats. But what I like the most were the drinks! The “chinola borracha” is a must as well as the Red Berry. Overall great experience, perfect for groups looking for a fun vibe. I love the attention to detail and fun presentation. They also have a DJ which kept the vibes going and a bar if you’re in for drink. Lastly the service was on it, would definitely go back!
First time at this sushi spot and it definitely has a more party/bar vibe than traditional low key sushi spots. The music was pumping and it seemed very "loud" in a cool way. The design is also very emphatic eye catching. We ordered a wide assortment of sushi dishes and appetizers. The food was good overall and the staff were terrific. Pricing is a bit high for what you get but it was a unique experience so it was worth it for our group.
The experience was amazing the food and ambiance are top tier. Definitely good for a night out with friends or date night. 10/10

This is my second time here and I came for happy hour. The Sushi-charron is excellent, a little pricey but so worth it!!
Leady was a really good server with us, the ambient is so great and my friends celebrate my birthday here and a bunch of servers came to my table and sing to me, so cute. Perfect option when you’re looking something nice !!!
Valeria was amazing. I came solo and she made me feel like I was having a party. The food was amazing. I did it all you can eat for $20 and I had one drink not bad.
Came to this restaurant for my daughter’s birthday. This place is more like a lounge/club vibes at night, with hookah and DJ. So if you have small children or kids with special needs, do not recommend. However, if you are just out with friends or a date, definitely a good time. The food was good, service a bit slow. And the music was Spanish, which is great and I loved. I included pics of the menu since I couldn’t find any online. I had called to ask if they had crab legs and the lady who picked up said yes. Got here and the menu did not have any crab legs at all. Would have been nice to see a menu before coming, as that’s what my daughter wanted for her bday.
Went here on Halloween, the staff was very attentive and nice. I think I ordered the special platter of 3 rolls (Salmon, Shrimp Tempura and Cookie Monster) which came with Fried rice in the middle, and two mocktails, I think one was blue lagoon and the other was the pink drink with mango strawberry and another fruit. Food arrived pretty quick. The salmon sushi and fried rice were the best, the other two were a bit dry, but the cookie monster was quite unique, I liked the cookie on top especially. But I feel like those two rolls could be better. Great place to take pictures tho, and when I went with my friend, there weren't many customers so we took as many pics as we wanted with flash lol. Anyway, as we were getting up to leave, I ended up breaking a glass when my friend was trying to hug me, and the staff cleaned it up and they were so nice about it (sorry for bothering yall 😭) But overall, great place.
Whatthefish is an Asian-Latin fusion gem tucked away in Long Island City. The vibe is fun, laid-back, and perfect for a night out. Their cocktails are next-level—not only are they delicious, but they’re also beautifully decorated and super Instagrammable. We started with some sushi, and every bite was flavorful and so artfully presented. The Land & Sea dish with lobster and steak was the chicken skewers were also astandout—tender, well-seasoned. And the best part? They’re open until 4 AM on weekends!
I really enjoyed the atmosphere, and the sushi was great. The service was exceptional as well. However, there were a couple of things that caught me off guard. First, you have to order a drink to qualify for the all-you-can-eat sushi, which wasn’t mentioned anywhere beforehand. We saw an ad that didn’t mention this, and when we called to inquire before coming, they told us there were no additional requirements. It was only when we were about to order that we found out about the drink requirement. Secondly, an 18% tip is automatically added, which I believe should be left to the discretion of the customer. Despite these two issues, I really loved the place and am definitely looking forward to returning for more sushi!

Scam alert #1 - the waitress asked me to review at the end at when I told her I review everything she still asked "if I need help" more or less she wanted to do it for me and obviously give the place 5 stars. Scam alert #2: I went to this restaurant based on prices listed on open table which do not reflect current prices by significant margins! All together my our meal would have been cheaper by ~$10-12. The shareable cocktail is scammed at a full $5 difference! The atmosphere was amazing very high class, door man (or bouncer who didn't check my ID because I'm too old looking 🤷🏻♀️). Leather seats, good music that wasn't too loud, cute decor very Instagramable. The piranha cocktail was cool. Everyone had one. The dry ice was totally unnecessary and was barely noticeable I'm sure the cost reflected so. It did taste delicious but the liquid content in the bowl was probably a quarter full. The bus boy kept attempting to take the drink from us before we were done drinking it. ABOUT 5-6 TIMES. I had to say I feel like you think I'm going to steal this. I promise I am not. The food was very good. I would have easily given 5 stars if I didn't feel scammed.
Chicharron roll and sweet Plantain app was delicious. The Sushi on the other hand is not something I would come back for. The drinks were good as well. The service I would say was pleasant at first but my major gripe is what I am seeing mostly with Hispanic restaurants. They are charging you 18% gratuity fee, hiding it on the 1st bill as a service charge as well as a 4% fee when using a card and then after you swipe your card they are asking for a tip with percentage ls broken down as if they didn't already charge you. This is shady as hell and that alone is a red flag to return.
This would’ve gotten zero stars if it were up to the service. I gave 3 stars because the food was delicious, the DJ was amazing & aesthetics were great. However, the service was AWFUL & we all work in the hospitality industry so we’re very lenient. Never checked on us not once. We were left without water for over 20 minutes after asking it was just a horrible experience & we won’t be going back because of this. Our bill was $215 with an 18% mandatory gratuity. Service was so bad I almost told the manager we are not leaving the 18% but honestly we just wanted to get out of there
I came here for the all-you-can-eat (AYCE), $20 on weekdays. Unfortunately, a lot has changed overall. My first visit a few months ago was great — the food was good and the service was good too. But each time I returned, something new was added or changed, and not in a good way. On my second-to-last visit, the waitress told us that if we wanted to do AYCE, we were required to purchase either a cocktail or a mocktail. That felt unreasonable. Not everyone wants alcohol, and the mocktail options were all very sugary. We didn’t really have a choice, and the drinks weren’t cheap. What we expected to be an affordable lunch ended up costing almost $100 for two people. We gave it one more try two weeks ago, and there were more changes. It’s now buffet-style, where you get up to choose your own sushi (the limited sushi options for the deal are still the same, which we already knew). We didn’t mind getting up for the food, but what surprised us was the automatic 18% service charge at the end. While the service itself wasn’t bad, it feels excessive to charge full service gratuity when customers are serving themselves. On top of that, the drink purchase requirement for AYCE was still in place. The sushi itself isn’t bad, but with all the added rules, extra costs, and changes, it no longer feels like a good value. There are definitely better sushi spots with better pricing and fewer restrictions.
I found this place on Instagram n it seemed fun and interesting. I went there on a Tuesday night where there was me n maybe 3 tables. The pple there were nice but I feel customer service could have been better. Our waiter took our order and never came back to check on us. A different person brought out our food and drinks. After we couldn’t find our waiter we wanted more drinks and sauce for our food so we whined up asking other pple around for help. After the busboy came n cleaned the table that’s when she showed back up with the bill and the gratitude added. Me and my partner both felt like she didn’t deserve a tip because she never came back to check on us. Just took our order and disappeared. Also when it came to food the presentation is pretty. The fish and sushi was good. The chicken didn’t have any taste to me.
The food was great, the atmosphere was nice, and the music was good. Overall, the vibe of the place was enjoyable. However, the hookah experience completely ruined it. They start you off with quick-light coals, which is unacceptable especially when you’re charging $50 for a hookah. At that price, premium natural coals should be served. I told the staff I didn’t want the hookah because of this, he then decided to give us the regular coals. After just a few pulls, the coal was completely dead. He said that he cannot add another coal to the hookah, I have to get a refill which is $25.That is absolutely ridiculous. As someone who genuinely enjoys hookah, this felt like a complete rip-off. Do yourself a favor and do not order the hookah!
I came in for the AYCE. It was $40 for 1hr and 30mins I believe and only certain sushis were included from the menu. It wasn't the worst sushi but the rice was not great. Since it was limited options I felt like I had to keep ordering the same thing. Ambiance was dark even during the day, felt more like a night vibe. Nice decorations though. Also an 18% service fee is added automatically

Huge sign outside advertising $8 cocktails from 2pm to 7pm. I ordered 2 cocktails between 4pm and 6pm and was charged $34 for them. I questioned the discrepancy and was told that they meant margaritas, not cocktails in general. Lol. Well, if that's not false advertising I don't know what is. Shameful!!!
I visited this place because it was very well promoted on social media — the happy hour looked great and seemed perfect for a Monday. I ordered several drinks and dishes from the happy hour menu, but when it was time to pay, they charged regular prices. According to the waitress, you have to tell them you’re ordering from the happy hour menu — something that was never mentioned or made clear anywhere. On top of that, the staff’s attitude was unpleasant, and the service was poor. It’s a shame because the place itself is nice, but the bad service ruins the experience.
We came for the all you can eat on Thursday, advertised as $20 ayce buffet, and we were told that 1 drink purchas per person is required. This was not mentioned, and the cheapest drink qualified cost $12, which would've made it at least $32 per person. On top of that it was very loud, and they advertise that they have free parking, but that's only after 8:30pm.
I’ll give this place 2 stars just for the food and it’s just because tastes good, just good. We waited for just one plate over 40 mins and they weren’t crowded… just 1 table more after us. The portions were regular and we ordered one more plate but we never got it (we waited again for 35 mins). They charge 18% of gratuity even if you go as single costumer. Service was poor and they are more focused on do social media content than check their tables.

Service is not the best to be honest. We had a reservation and they said we can only spend 1 hour after the reserved time. It's not like it's a buffet that there's a time limit. We were a party of …
I usually don’t write bad reviews because I’m a manager of my own restaurant and I know how these reviews affect restaurants online but this time is the exception,( so management can do something about this terrible service you guys offer ) first of all we come in to an empty restaurant with only one host/server which we expect service right away, we ordered drinks and food , food took 35 min to get to us (we the only ones in the restaurant ) I had to stand up and ask for the food to with the server responded to me with an aggressive attitude which already is a no no , anyways we start eating and the burger was disappointing, we ran out of out drinks and we were never offered a refill, we literally had to reach to someone for a glass of water, the staff definitely knew they were messing up so bad so decided to do auto gratitude on our check and didn’t tell us about it, I will be coming back to speak to a manager because none of the staff present seem capable of handling a problem. If I could give 0 starts I would
Was the most average sushi I've had. So many "food" influencer talk about this place but I was not impressed AT ALL. Super disappointed and removed from my foodie list. Yes the vibe is good but the food and drinks are mediocre. You can taste right away the sushi is not fresh. Costco has better sushi literally
I am just so appalled at this place. We came in, was ignored for 10 minutes when trying to order. I said I couldn't have mayonnaise and was instantly given two plates of it. No substitutions were allowed for fried rice despite dietary restrictions. Was charged $2 for sauce and wasn't told it was going to cost extra until it was already in front of me. Tried to charge me $8 for two bottles of water because their tap filter was allegedly broken. I had to fight for that to be taken off my bill. And on top of that, 18% gratuity is already included for parties larger than ONE. I asked for a manager like the receipt suggested, but was told that the manager wasn't even there. Beware these 5 star reviews, this business is predatory. You get a free shot of tequila for giving a 5 star review. DO NOT COME HERE if you have dietary restrictions, and DEFINITELY have a sober person look over the bill before you pay. DO NOT let them charge you $4 for POLAND SPRING. This was a horrifying experience. I'm sick of businesses tacking on hidden fees, I feel sick to my stomach feeling like they could've taken advantage of my mother if I wasn't here with her. If you want a tip, you need to DO YOUR JOB. Don't ignore your customers to chat with your coworkers. That is just so rude. Holy wow. We were the ONLY PEOPLE THERE. Why is it so hard to just be decent people??
Worst dining experience of my entire life! And I work in service myself, so I am usually more empathetic to service workers. However, this was awful. We came in at 6:30pm on a Thursday for the $20 AYCE special. Note that the special ends at 8pm. There were three of us, and we were initially seated in a cramped spot at the back of the restaurant at a table mostly meant for 2 people even though half of the restaurant was empty. A few moments later, the server asked if we would like to move to the empty section. We happily moved. It was 6:35pm by this time. We were reseated and left by ourselves until someone finally came to take our order at 6:55pm. Although we were seated at this section of the restaurant first, our orders were taken last. The waitress who approached us did not welcome us. Instead, she said “English or Spanish?” We ordered and she left. Someone else brought our drinks out after about 5 minutes, so this was timely. No one checked in with us for refills for the entire duration of our stay. We waited SO LONG for our food to arrive, which came out to our table at 7:45pm. We did not even get what we ordered. We had sushi rolls missing. It was impossible to flag any staff down, they did not come to check in. You would have to get up and go to the podium to speak with the manager to get assistance. At 7:45pm, we asked if it was possible to get another order because we waited so long and felt it was unfair for the special to end in 15 minutes and we would not be able to get someone to refill it before it ended. The server obliged but noted it would take 1-1.5 hours for another order of sushi to come out. We were shocked! 1.5 hours for raw fish? We had already been there for 1.5 hours by this time so we figured “why not?” And put in the order. This order came out in about 35-40 minutes. This time we were missing 3 orders of sushi rolls but didn’t care to try to flag someone down because we were exhausted from being there. As the server came to collect our plates at the end, she noticed all of our drinks were empty and finally asked if we wanted refills. It was 9pm at this point and we had gotten our drinks over 2 hours prior and she was only NOW asking if we wanted a refill! We requested the manager who gave us complimentary dessert for the inconvenience but come on. She said she was aware of the situation when we were explaining it to her. 1. Why did we even have to request the manager to come speak to us if they were already aware? They should’ve been proactive to come to us first to explain or apologize. 2. Why didn’t anyone warn us of the wait when we were first seated? So many people walked out of the restaurant because they were waiting for hours with no food or service. Then they have an automatic mandatory gratuity of 18%!!!! Most of the servers were on their phones texting and walking around the restaurant not speaking to any customers. The food was also just okay. Not worth the price on a good day, much less this awful experience. I highly highly discourage you from visiting this establishment. There are so many better options. It’s sad because they do have good ambiance and music but clearly they are focused on the wrong things.
NOT WORTH THE WAIT !!!! This place has a nice ambiance music was good but we came in for the AYCE and it was the worst experience I have ever had dinning. We were first sat down in a table for 2 for 3 people. So we were cramped. Second we placed our drinks and food together. For 1 cocktail 1 mock tail and a ginger ale. It took 40 mins to come to us. Next was our food. We literally waited 1 hour and 10 mins. Each order only comes with 4 pieces of what you order. We obviously didn’t know that, if not we would have ordered a lot more. Then we were rushed while eating to order another round bc our 2 hours would be over even though our food took 1 hr and 10 mins to come out. I asked if it can be extended due to the fact it took extremely long for sushi to come out. They stated no and that’s why they were asking for us to order now before our 2 hrs are over. Mind you, we are still eating the first order. None the less we were already eating and as much as we wanted to leave I am sure we would be charged the full price mid our AYCE session, so we decided to stay and wait. Our second order took ANOTHER HOUR to come out. The table next to us experienced the same exact issue as us. The sushi tbh is okay nothing out of the ordinary I’ve had better elsewhere. While we waited hours to eat, the waitress did not ask us if we needed anything or checked on us. If we didn’t ask for even water. It would have not been brought to us. The second order also had missing sushi pieces we ordered. HONESTLY NOT WORTH THE WAIT !!!! I am never coming back here. Ever. The place before this was honestly way better. So sad it changed. Also. Like the other reviews. Your automatically charged 18 percent tip even for just 1 person lol. Just bad in general
I ask for most of the sushi in the menu, didnt had something good. The rice was dry and clearly not fresh, it didnt taste good at all, the portions were very small, and you only get 4 pieces. I did the $20 all-you-can-eat and they made it mandatory to order a drink (that was most ice)I don’t recommend it. The atmosphere wasn’t great either — the music was way too loud and it was only 4 PM. For last they add me a sushi that I shouldnt payed for.
