We have been patrons of Pasta da Pulcinella for several years and celebrate our son’s birthday there. The staff are all welcoming and efficient. The food is simply delicious. We have never had a negative experience with the staff, service or food. This time around was no different. The drinks, main course and desserts were perfect. Thank you for always making our celebrations special.
So much yes- I’ll be thinking about the Tortelli di Mele for a long time coming. The service was great, ended up hanging around as they closed up shop and can confirm their entire team is just a magical as their food. Excellent atmosphere, excellent team, and even better food and wine. You can’t go wrong with this “little house in the big city”
Prompt and quick service - although it wasn’t really crowded. Food tasted great - our table had the chicken ravioli, mushroom ravioli and the ravioli with aubergine. Portion sizes could have been more generous. Which meant we had to eat dessert - the tiramisu was decadent. Overall worth a meal here.
This is a great location in downtown Atlanta. The yellow house stands out against all of the larger buildings. We had 2 dishes. The Mahi Mahi was stated on the menu as pan seared. It came with a tomato based sauce that wasn't on the description on the menu. The lobster raviolis were good. They came with a heavy white sauce. Both dishes would have been better without so much sauce. The sauce covered up the taste of the Mahi Mahi and lobster raviolis. The waitress pointed out a few items that were prepared differently than what was on the menu.
Great vibe right across from Google! The hostesses were lovely, the champagne was fantastic, and I really enjoyed the pasta. Our server was fine, but it took forever for the food to arrive—even though the place wasn’t busy. When it finally came, there was minimal interaction or explanation about the dishes. The pizza was just okay—fresh, but nothing memorable.
Service 10.. food ..10 atmosphere..10.. our 1st time here, my wife asked...how did you find this place.. I googled top 10 Italian restaurant in Atlanta.. we came to celebrate our 13th Wedding anniversary... We will be back.. thank you for making our day special...ooooo and right before we left they came and handed us 2 glasses of wine and said... congratulations 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 nice touch
I only walked in because I was starving and overheated. So, perhaps my opinion is bloated, as my expectations were low. The Caesar salad had what I consider enough dressing, the ragu tagliatelle was skillfully made, and I’d bring a sheet pan of that tiramisu to an enemy’s funeral to upstage them. Lovely espresso cups. Charming bartender
A beautiful spot. The food is amazing. Went for our anniversary and were sat by a family with three small children on a Saturday night. Not anti-children, but the hostess should be mindful of why people are out for dinner. We did note it in our Open table reservation. The waiter was rushing and dismissive. My husband didn't think so, but I did. The food is lose your mind good. All the flavors are balanced perfectly. We went 15 years ago at their old location. I went a few years ago with my sister in law at the old location. Happy to see they are still around.
We really enjoyed our time here and loved the food. Definitely coming back again for lobster ravioli and shrimp linguine.
Pasta da Pulcinella is an absolute gem in Atlanta and a must-visit for any date night! It’s one of my wife’s and my favorite restaurants, and every time we’re in Atlanta, we make sure to stop by. The cozy, intimate atmosphere makes it perfect for a romantic evening, and the food never disappoints. We always order the Bolognese—it’s hands-down the best we’ve ever had. The pasta is perfectly cooked, and the rich, flavorful sauce is simply unforgettable. Pairing it with their incredible wine selection makes the meal even more special. And of course, we can’t leave without indulging in their desserts. We usually order multiple because everything is too good to pass up! That said, I may never forgive them for taking the peach sorbetto off the menu—it was a personal favorite. But even without it, the dessert menu is full of amazing options that always leave us happy. If you’re looking for exceptional Italian cuisine in Atlanta, Pasta da Pulcinella is the place to go. It’s the perfect spot for a memorable meal, and it’s a staple for every one of our visits. Highly recommend!
Every time I’ve come here, the service and food has been excellent! Shout out to K-O (no clue how to spell his name, but he’s phenomenal!) Their gluten free pasta (penne) is good. They are great at accommodating dietary needs and cresting something special. I’m also dairy free, and they are helpful to craft something that works! Good ambience too Their sorbetto dessert is very good - love how it comes inside the frozen fruit. The peach sorbetto was absolutely delicious - sad that they got rid of it. The relocated building is very nice, elegant - inviting atmosphere. I’ve been to both the old location which got torn down and the new one, which is only a few blocks from the old. It can get a bit loud in there. One difference is noticed is this most recent visit, we didn’t get complimentary bread with the meal whereas all past visits came with the bread plus oil They do offer a free dessert on your birthday, which was welcomed!
For Valentine’s Day day after we choose a location which had a romantic and cozy feeling exquisite food and great people. Reservation at 5:30 pm which was the earliest and the place was already packed! We kicked things off with Caesar and Arugula salads, followed by the rich Lobster Ravioli and comforting Tagliatelle Verdi Alla Bolognese. The grand finale? A heavenly slice of Tiramisu that left us already planning our next visit. If you're craving authentic Italian flavors with a romantic atmosphere, this spot is a must-try!
Worth every dollar! Visited here on a recent business trip and so glad we did. I got their famous tortellini di Mele. It was based off the server recommendation. That really impressed me because I was gonna go for a pricier dish but he talked me into this which shows integrity and a true love of the product. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town. DONT SKIP DESSERT
One of my favorite restaurants anywhere. I try to eat here anytime I’m in midtown Atlanta. The menu is not large, but there are options for most any taste. There are dinner specials every night to supplement the normal menu also. My personal favorites are the ravioli options.
This place exceeded all expectations. The food was absolutely to die for-authentic, rich, and perfectly balanced. The service was incredible, and the atmosphere was warm, romantic, and beautifully designed. One of the best Italian dining experiences I’ve had. Everything was amazing.
This place is an amazing hole in the wall in Midtown. It’s in the corner of the area, a quiet quaint place. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The food is phenomenal, especially given the price. I highly recommend the Lobster ravioli, they do it in a way I’ve never tasted before. Dessert was delicious, and the overall ambiance is a great change of pace from the city area. Highly recommend as a nice dinner spot.
Visiting from Ohio… it’s our last night here and we wanted something delicious. This hit the nail on the head! Delicious food and amazing service. If I lived here then I would definitely be a frequent!
My daughter picked this restaurant on a Saturday the day before Mother's Day. Neither of us had been here before and wanted something new. We took an Uber to Midtown from East Point. We almost missed the place because it is nestled between office buildings on West Peachtree. We made the reservation same day with no problem. When we arrived we was given the choice of sitting inside or outside. It was a lovely day outside but I decided I wanted to sit inside as my first experience. Our server name was Joe and he was very pleasant and patient. This was our first time dining at this restaurant. The restaurant is very intimate which is a plus. Whether you bring a date or family, the atmosphere will work just fine. Our choices for dinner: Bruschetta: Tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, shiitake mushrooms and eggplant componata on croutons. Crispy Calamari coated in egg white breading, served with tomato caper sauce. Caesar Salad Traditional Caesar dressing with shaved Reggiano and croutons. Chicken Parmigiana, Sauteed lightly breaded chicken cutlet with tomato basil sauce and fresh mozzarella, served with Tortellini Al Pesto. Pork Milanese, Pan roasted breaded bone-in pork chop with roasted potatoes, garlic spinach, grape tomatoes, caper berries and lemon butter sauce. Also we had cheesecake for dessert and Lemon Drop martinis. I will say I have never had capers like this before. They were a little sour but was a nice balance to the meal. The pork chop was nice and juicy. It was more than I could eat in one sitting. All in all the place was lovely and very accommodating. This is another place where you can local residents come here often. Very friendly spot.
What a cute little place located right in the heart of midtown. If in this area, I would highly recommend you try it. There gluten free penne was amazing- one of the best ever.y hubby loves raviolis and they have so many different varieties. Their desserts were amazing also. Great outdoor dining patio
Delicious food. Great ambience. Great bruschetta and callimari. Main dishes were tasty but came out cold. Dessert was delicious
We thoroughly enjoyed amazing service and amazing food. Great experience. Romantic, cozy, great views. Loved the menu and cocktails.
The parking in this area is very limited. You can park at the Moxy Atlanta Midtown hotel and the restaurant will validate your ticket: up to 2 hours parking for lunch and dinner for only $6 (instead of the usual $16). Make sure you remember to bring the parking ticket so the restaurant can validate it. The Moxy is just around the corner from the restaurant at the intersection of 13th and Peachtree Walk NE (48 13th St NE). I made the reservation ahead online. The place is normally packed for dinner, and we went on a weekday, not even weekend. There was no table inside so we was sat at the patio which was lovely. There's a big tree on the patio so it provides nice leafy shade. The chairs on the patio has no cushion but you can ask for a separate cushion from the receptionist or the server. The atmosphere on the outdoor is fresh and open, not as much noise as the indoor. The food is tasty, simple but tasty. We had: - Caesar Salad: The salad is really good but the croutons are way too hard for my biting. - Grilled chicken linguini with garlic cream sauce: my boyfriend approved it. - Shrimp linguini with garlic cream sauce: I asked for extra grated cheese and I think it gives more flavor to the dish. - A side of prosciutto: good quality but some part of it is a bit dry. The only disadvantage of the patio seats is it does take a while to see a server comes by but we were no rush. Our server is very friendly and attentive. My drink order was a fruity mocktail, and they mixed it well. It tastes fruity and is not overwhelmed by soda or sparkling water like some places do. Overall, we had a lovely experience, and definitely recommend the place!
Ordered tortelli de mele and bolognese both were delicious. Started with a capresse salad and caesar salad. Ended with bosco dessert which would probably try a different dessert next time.
The apple, sausage ravioli was surprisingly delightful. It was creamy an slightly sweet. Highly recommend trying it. The Crispy calamari was very crisp and light.
This was mine and my wife's first visit here. We read some reviews that said the staff takes a long time with things but that wasn't true for us. It was actually the opposite. We had to be at a play at the Fox and only had 1 hour and it took 45 minutes total at the restaurant. Obviously you can take your time if you want but we needed to be quick. Don't feel weird getting the server's attention, it's a small place but there are two sides to the restaurant so if you need something you need to get the server then put it could be a few minutes before you see them again. The food was awesome! We had the ravioli with Granny Smith apples and sausage with a sage and brown butter sauce as well as the lobster ravioli with a white wine cream sauce. Both were so delicious! Highly recommend. We also got the calamari which had this salsa your sauce with it, also delicious! One menu with two sides. One is the original menu from 1994 that's what we ordered from. The other side changes every two weeks and it had some delicious options as well. I'm sure they keep it pretty fresh. Overall our experience was excellent and I definitely recommend this place. Prices are mid range salad $5-$7, antipasti $7-$10, main course $15-$30.
Excellent food - numerous dishes looked great, and I went with the red snapper which did not disappoint. Pasta was baller as well. Service was excellent, and the atmosphere is perfect for conversation with family or tinder dates.
Traveling for business and found this great little Italian place. Service was outstanding and the food was the perfect portion size. I got the Tagliatelle Verdi Alla Bolognese and it was delicious! The Cesar salad was crisp and fresh and the bread was fresh and tasty.
Last night I had a wonderful experience here! The bartender was outstanding—friendly, welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the bar offerings. She even took the time to guide me through the menu options while I waited for my friends, which made me feel truly taken care of. Once we were seated, our waitress continued the great service with a cheerful smile and excellent attention throughout the meal. The food itself was authentic Italian cuisine, full of flavor with generous portion sizes. Kudos to the entire team for making it such an enjoyable evening. I’ll definitely be returning!
This Midtown landmark is really well-run restaurant. The food is very, very good. The staff is friendly and efficient. The dining room is quiet, pretty, clean and comfortable.
I would definitely recommend this place Good menu..the food was great.. The flatbread.. pepperoni.. was so good. Dinners were the risotto and tortellini with chicken..also good. Dessert was tiramisu and it was big enough for two. The four stars because our server had the whole room we were in and we did wait a bit to order our drinks..and the atmosphere because it was loud due to some people who seem clueless to other people also dining out.. (Not the restaurants fault). I would definitely go back.
Wonderful experience! This was our third visit, and this little gem in the middle of the city never disappoints. We sat upstairs at a cozy table for two, though the patio seating looked just as inviting. Our waitress was the sweetest — friendly, attentive, and gave thoughtful recommendations (none of those “this is popular” or “I haven’t tried it” answers). I really appreciate great servers like that! And the whiskey sour? The best I’ve ever had. Now on to the food — OMG. Fresh, handmade pasta, perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. Absolutely outstanding. Bravo!
If I could give this restaurant 10 stars, I would! I want to start off by saying our server, Isabella, was incredible. She was so kind and knowledgeable. She made our dining experience amazing. The food is beyond delicious. Everything was seasoned perfectly. The food tasted so fresh and was cooked to perfection. My family and I will definitely be back. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!!!
The food here is so delicious! The ravioli de funghi was my favorite, but even the salads are amazingly flavorful. The prices are super reasonable ($19-21 for big plates of pasta). Our server was so funny and adorable; she made the whole experience special. (Karina? Cute with dark curly hair and big glasses)
Wonderful, friendly service from Isabella! And the food was really top notch. Great flavor, good portion size. We'll come back next time we have the opportunity!
One of the more quaint spots in Midtown! And one of the few in this part of the city which is good Italian. We have been here a few times, and it's similar to a few spots in buckhead that are similar to an old house. Our server was phenomenal, and gave us really good recommendations given our flavor profile. Definitely recommend getting a reservation!
Nice Italian restaurant in former house Food was tasty but serving sizes were on the smaller size. I enjoyed the redfish entree which was extremely tender and flaky with an excellent crust. The onions and tomatoes topping was great but I would’ve enjoyed also enjoyed it on the mashed potatoes. I also tried the bruschetta, calamari, and charcuterie appetizers and tiramisu dessert - are were pretty good! Setting is intimate with dim lighting but can be on the noisier side. Our server Isabella was attentive throughout dinner.
TASTY ENCOUNTER This midtown Italian restaurant is housed in a two-story bungalow that gives you the immediate feel of a romantic hide-away. But to go to ambiance for just a second, the first floor was enhanced with background music that set the mood. Unfortunately, our dining experience was on the second floor, which for some reason, didn’t have the music piped in. Instead, the hardwood floors and high ceilings resulted in bad acoustics and a continuing array of background noises from people pulling out the chairs, plates being placed on tables, the clickety-clack of high heel shoes, etc. This evening’s delicacies were the fried calamari appetizer, Pulcinella salad, lobster ravioli entree, penne pasta with shrimp in a smoked salmon sauce, and 2 desserts: chocolate layered cake and the limoncello cake. The fried calamari was superb, well seasoned, and coupled with the tomato caper sauce. The Pulcinella salad met our expectations. The lobster ravioli, however, was a bit of a surprise. It looked delicious, but the lobster was minced so finely that you could barely taste it. The shrimp in the smoked salmon sauce was tasty, though we had to add some seasoning. Important note: Pulcinella prepares their pasta al dente, which delivers a fairly firm texture and is, as purists put it, the way pasta should be prepared. If you like your pasta less firm, be sure to request it “well done.” Overall, a tasty encounter, with some drawbacks as described.
Pasta da Pulcinella is an amazing. If you’re looking for a nice ambiance & amazing Italian food, look no further. The waiter was highly knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered the Classic Linguini added with mixed veggies, grilled chicken, & garlic crème sauce. The meal was delivered fresh and hot! *chef’s kiss* Very flavorful. No complaints!
It's a classic Italian restaurant set into the heart of midtown. You can get validated parking here just in the back when you can grab it. Service was alright - it was mainly hard to hear when the space is so crowded. The servers were attentive but did not explain any options unless prompted. Food was okay too; my spicy spinach gnocchi was actually not spicy at all. And each entree is over $24 each with a smaller than normal helping. I do not recommend the setting although the venue is cute. This restaurant supports Timeleft dinners, so you'll see a flood of people in the middle and end of the each month.
Nice restaurant offering Italian style dishes. Pasta is good and well cooked. The dishes have good portions and nice tastes. I had the roasted eggplant with mozzarella and pesto to start, it was good, I would avoid adding the salad on top as it is not necessary for the taste. I followed with the tortellini and they were good, the chef cheesy cake also was nice. Shout-out to Isabella for making the night so enjoyable!
This place was pretty good. It was very busy. My drink was good. I ordered Shrimp pasta and it was good, maybe 7/10 rating. I had kinda through the food would be better for the price and the atmosphere, but it was nice. I would so it is a little pricey for the quality of the food but not a lot so. I would eat here again, but I would probably try somewhere else first if I visit the area again for work.
Our server was amazing! Always with a smiling face, knowledgeable, and we felt really taken care of which made the experience. Location is extremely practical, and the atmosphere is lovely. I loved the calamari however the ravioli was mediocre. Wish i could say better things about the food. Dessert and drinks were also great. Hopefully they can improve at this newer location.
Beautiful Italian restaurant remodelled from an old house. Love the concept. Their bar area looks nice too. They have an upstairs area with view on the street and a spacious terrace with midtown view. Service was ok. We came here on a Wednesday night, it was not too busy though the restaurant terrace was full. The food was kind of disappointing, not very flavourful. We sadly have to rate it as average. Had way better Italian food in Atlanta.
Great atmosphere, vibe and service. Moved the entire look and feel of the restaurant. The food was great but portion sizes were really tiny for its price. The garlic frisee bread is great.
I ordered lunch for two as a carry out order. The call was answered by an AI answering machine that directs you on where it thinks you need to go. It kept repeating itself and finally got me to someone who could take my order. It would have been more appealing to be greeted by an actual person. Ordering for carry out went with ease and the food was ready within 15 minutes. I ordered the Tagliatelle V Bolognese and the Tortelli di Mele along with a Caesar Salad. The portion sizes vary even though the prices are the same. The Tortelli di Mele had about 6 pieces of ravioli sized pasta and about 1/8 portion of meat; not enough to fill half of the carry out dish. The dish was delicious, but definitely not worth $16, as it wasn't portioned enough for a meal. Both the Caesar Salad and Tagliatelle V Bolognese were stuffed to the brim of the carry out dish. The price of the items differed from the menu prices found on their website, which was a bit disappointing. Both the Tagliatelle and Tortelli had an additional $1.00 to their online menu price, and they charged $1.00 for an extra portion of Caesar Salad dressing. When I picked up the order, I was greeted by a server and he was very pleasant. That greeting was followed by a women who was dressed real nice but she didn't have the same warm greeting with me as she did with others who came in to dine. I rated this place three stars as it needs to make some adjustments to have a higher rating
This restaurant falls under the category of fast food quality served in a non fast food atmosphere. Chicken parm was ok. A little tough and dry for my tastes. Tortellini pasta was good - not over sauced. Bread was ala carte. Stale. Oil was oddly light and flavorless for an olive oil. I’m a New Yorker with vast gastronomy experience with authentic Italian fare. This is not it. It’s okay. But I won’t be back. Nothing remarkable.
This place was very disappointing today. The location is very convenient and nice place but, the food was like: microwave food! I bet Publix, Costco or Trader’s Joes have better selection of pasta believe it or not. Bides that the food runner pulled my plates when I haven’t even finished, that is not nice and kind of rude, plus my waiter he didn’t know where he was standing, kind of lost. I’m very honest about my reviews here and definitely this is not a place for me to come back. Lobster 🦞 raviolis: 2/10 Chicken raviolis: 2/10 Cesar Salad: 5/10 Bread 🍞: 2/10 taste less and pale (ugly ugly)
TLDR: Disappointing restaurant. The majority of reviews are from before they moved where I assume quality was better. The service was ok. Our waiter was very sweet, but very slow. She seemed to be dealing with all of the tables in our section, so the service suffered (long wait times, forgetful, etc). The atmosphere made this even worse. Tables are arranged extremely close together making it pretty hard to keep conversation. At points, even restaurant staff would yell across the dining area complaining about something or the other. One of the waiters / hosts yelled about the restaurant running out of clean glasses (huh?). Anyways, food wise... Yikes! Low quality food. We started with the bread and crispy ravioli. The bread was terrible and flavorless (even when dipped in olive oil and balsamic). It was also cold. The crispy ravioli was ok, but the exterior was inconsistent and the inside was pretty flavorless beyond the melted cheese. Very disappointing appetizer. We ordered the Ravioli and the Tortelli di Mele. I'll note that the waiter oversold the Tortelli saying how it was to die for and how others came from far to see the food. The ravioli was ok at best. The pasta didn't taste fresh and the sauce was poorly incorporated and separated pretty quickly (yuck). The Tortelli di Mele wasn't bad. It definitely had a great contrast of flavors, but it was dry and flavorless after eating more than a few bites. Very disappointing, especially given the waiter's remarks. The dessert was ok. The layered chocolate cake was dry. The cake itself wasn't moist, and the cream / icing had little flavor. Eh. I don't drink, but my S/O got the chocolate cocktail. She said it was good, but way too strong. Glad I went here though, so I know not to in the future on more important occasions.
Food had no taste and was not seasoned. Bruschetta was nasty. Ceaser salad had too much dressing and no taste to the dressing. Mixed vegetables were not seasoned. Vegetables were not thoroughly cooked and some of them were raw. Mushroom ravioli were just ok, but nothing to write home about. Would not recommend.
The note under the reservation for this restaurant legit tells you to park at the Moxy Hotel (which is over $20 btw) saying that they will validate it for you. Upon arriving they told me they will not validate under any circumstance? So not only did I park a block away, but you told me to park at the most expensive parking lot in the area........ giving my car to valet would have been cheaper. Never seen that in my entire laugh - being promised parking validation then telling you to kick rocks when you get to the host stand. Speaks volumes to how this restaurants cares for their customers. Kuddos to the chef though - the pasta was great.
