This restaurant was suggested to me via Google. I spoke with the GM Mr. Dean, and visited prior to see it, and decided to book it for my birthday dinner. Honestly it exceeded my expectations! Abigail and Amy were absolutely amazing servers. The legit tag teamed the party of approximately 25-30 guest. They were so patient with the everyone, very knowledgeable, and extremely helpful throughout the whole meal. The food was impressive and extremely flavorful. Well crafted cocktails, and a beautiful ambiance. Prices are beyond fair and free parking available. I loved every second of our dining experience and thank you all for making my birthday amazing, sincerely!

Brunch at The Woodall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had an incredible brunch experience at The Woodall that deserves all the stars. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, the service was top-tier, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable for the quality. I went with the steak and eggs — perfectly cooked, but what really elevated the dish were the sauces. Rich, flavorful, and balanced. Also tried the French toast, which tasted like a cider donut stuffed with cream cheese filling. Decadent without being over-the-top. Paired with some excellent drinks, it was the kind of meal that makes you want to linger. Already planning to come back for dinner or another brunch. This spot nails comfort, creativity, and hospitality all in one.

My partner and I finally made it to The Woodall to celebrate our new business venture, and wow… what a night. This place has been on our list forever, and now I’m mad we waited so long. We kicked things off with the shrimp toast and the octopus salad. Both were so good, but that octopus? The fava bean salad was fresh and fun, and I could taste the citrus notes in the octopus, which was extremely tender. Brian (our server and new favorite person) said we had to try it, and he was right. For mains, I had the steak with green beans and fries, extra gravy please and my husband went for the lamb chops. Both plates came out looking gorgeous and tasting even better. Then Brian hit us with the dessert suggestion, a crumble cake with vanilla bean gelato and listen… that thing did not stand a chance. Brian made the whole night FUN! Super friendly, knew the menu inside and out, nailed the wine pairings, and just made us feel like we were regulars. If you haven’t been to The Woodall yet, make a reservation. And when you go, ask for Brian. Trust me.

Great food, friendly helpful staff. Highly recommend, very romantic vibes, although I went on a mommy son date, it was still fine. The wine was good. Bathrooms clean!

My family came here for my brother's birthday and truly enjoyed our evening here. The food was sooo good. I got a salmon plate, which I find can usually be dry - but not here it was made to perfection. Our server RJ was personable and friendly, his serving skills made our night better. We hope to come back here!

Impressed. One page focused menu. Good drinks, good seating inside and out, nice calm vibe, great service from Abigail, nice chairs/seating and silverware, clean restrooms and establishment. The water is delicious Steak-at $53 it’s the most expensive item and it’s worth it. Plenty food, amazing flavors. Baked Chicken-Arguably best item. We don’t eat chicken much but the people next to us had it and swore by it because they came the previous day and ordered it and they were back again ordering the same thing so we had to try it. I’m glad we did. Probably one of the best tasting birds ever. And I’ve eaten my share of chicken. 10/10 it taste like it was grilled and baked-amazing Trout-Delicious. A bit light tho so you’ll have to order something else if you’re hungry. Okra-Delicious. It also tastes smoky and hearty like meat. Comes with amazing pita bread. Okra was too salty the second time trying. Chicken Sandwich-Delicious, crunchy, fresh. It could’ve had more spices, more pickles, and a good sauce that matches the sandwich. It only had a thin layer of mayo on it. The bun was buttery and I knew my blood pressure was going up. Wedge Salad-Cold and tasty. Felt like it was worth more like $9 tho. Beef Talo Fries-Very Tasty-Loved Beets-nice and tangy. At $13 it could be $9 easily Farro VEGAN dish- delicious. Ate every last bit 10/10 and great price. Ordered 3 times since. Lamb Dish-Delicious 10/10-fair $22. Looked small at first but it was more than I thought. They could charge $25 and give you more. Dessert Cookie was like a brownie cookie bake in a skillet-nothing special. The Butter Cake in that amazing baileys sauce-Very delicious. Should come with ice cream. It was smaller the second time ordering and should be larger. You’ll definitely want more. We licked the plate 10/10 if they go back to a larger size. Didn’t understand the painting on the wall. Many of their menu items had cheese and the cheese if taken off would change the dish. However, there were many items still on the menu that I could eat. I was very impressed with their pricing. I was expecting a more expensive bill, but for the quality and selection this price should attract every level of customer. For price, taste and service it was hard not to give them a five star. The portion sizes are not large so it makes you order two-three items which can then get your bill up to $50 per. Easily just order one meal each and it’s affordable. We appreciate Good clean food.

The Woodall is an excellent restaurant for a very delicious meal in a contemporary, relaxed environment. There are a variety of tasty choices on the menu and the prices are reasonable. Service is friendly and prompt. I really liked fried chicken sandwiches and the mocktail was very refreshing. I would definitely recommend checking out this American fare.

Simply divine experience! They make everything and I mean everything from scratch well except for the ketchup and mustard! Most all the items are locally sourced and your waiter will inform you of the day or evening’s specials! Chose the booth option and call ahead a request a reservation for the full experience!

I had an amazing experience at Woodhall, the ambiance was perfect—elegant yet cozy, with a quiet atmosphere that made it easy to relax and enjoy my time, our server Isaac went above and beyond with his service, he was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure every detail was perfect throughout the evening, truly one of the best service experiences I’ve had in a long time, and the food was absolutely outstanding, every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection, this place is a hidden gem and has quickly become one of my favorites, highly recommend to anyone looking for exceptional food, a peaceful setting, and top-notch service.

Updating 3 years later to say the Woodall is still top tier in service and food quality! They are now in my rotation of favorite places. A friend made reservations to celebrate my birthday and promotion and they thoughtfully made me a hand written card and provided a glass of complimentary champagne AND they have coffee. What better way to celebrate. I still love the Woodall!! The customer service, food and drinks were amazing! Gage was our server and he was attentive and friendly. I had the Southern Charmer, Seared Trigger Fish, Calamari & Shrimp and Creme Brulee for dessert. Everything was delicious and flavorful. My friend had the Hibiscus Paloma, Crab Beignets, Scallops and the Baileys Cake. She enjoyed her meal also! We sat on the back patio and enjoyed it. This spot is great for date night, business or dining with friends. I’ll definitely be returning!

Impossible to pick a favorite dish here since everything we had was amazing. I believe you first eat with your eyes, and each plate was a work of art. There were familiar things on the menu, such as crab salad, roasted chicken, steak frites, to fancier things like snow crab, oyster, and foie gras. A friend had the cacio e pepe while I had the pappardelle with lamb. Both were amazingly cooked. The staff gave a short spiel about the chef, and we were lucky enough to get a short visit from the chef himself. The chef spent some time in France and it definitely showed in the food, but he mostly wanted to showcase Southern ingredients. Besides the food, the atmosphere was very pleasant. The restaurant was well-lit, music was not too loud, and it felt spacious inside. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and very friendly. Overall, it was a great experience dining here.

This is my favorite place to go after I finish my biweekly nail appt. I come during happy hour and sit on the outside part of the bar. I love the small appetizers and the well crafted drinks. My favorite thing to order is the Brocolli Caesar with a skinny margarita. The bartenders are nice and professional. The inside of the restaurant gives air down dinner date vibes but you Will occasionally catch a family of 4-6 sitting at one of the larger tables. The rest of the restaurant is booths. All in all, I never have any issues at this spot. I just come, eat my appetizers, drink 1-2 drinks and it's the perfect way to end my nail appt.

Just had my birthday dinner with my husband and daughter! Our server/ bartender was Lexi! I hope I spelled her name right. Dinner was amazing! We started out with waygu pigs in a blanket, oysters 😋, and seared foie gras with waffles ( interesting... I liked it. Just not too much syrup. ). Then we had the main course Prime New York steak and lobster risotto. All delicious. Thank you for a wonderful birthday dinner!

This restaurant is a sleeper! It wasn't even on my list of places I need to go, but it should have been. The drinks were great. The appetizers were great. The steak was fantastic. I would argue it is better than the renowned "Kevin Rathbun's steakhouse" near Krog Street Market. We got the cowboy prime ribeye with "steak diane" topping and it delivered, in cook and taste. The only complaint (joke) was that the appetizer soup of the day didn't have enough rangoons! Too good. We even met the executive chef, Matt Marcus. He came to our table and we had a great friendly conversation. Great atmosphere and great service. Great restaurant for an elevated date night. We will be going again!

I am so happy to have stumbled upon this place. I stopped in on Sunday for brunch. Everything was great from the welcome, to the drink recommendation, to the food and the overall service. Oh, wait... how could I forget about the music??? The atmosphere was perfect! The restaurant was very accommodating for my daughter and I. She was comfortable and enjoyed her food as well. I'll be sure to spread the word about my great dining experience and look forward to returning.

The Woodall just opened in West Midtown and it is a great spot for food and drinks! The interior has a modern feel which is accompanied by amazing service and a warm ambience. The bar had a unique cocktail selection and the food had an upscale feel with reasonable prices. Also includes two outdoor dining options, a patio and then outdoor extension to the bar. Overall great experience!

Happy Hour from 4-6! $7 Cocktails, $6 Wine. Don’t sleep on the Green Goddess Broccoli Brussel Caesar Salad…one of the best things I’ve eaten recently. The girl seated next to me saw it and ordered one as well!!!

I absolutely love this place. Honestly, it's worth it to just come for drinks and appetizers! I have come several times and almost always get their old fashioned ("What's in Fashion") - a little sweet but incredible smooth and addicting. Their carpaccio is to die for! Great presentation, delicious and worth a second order! Tip on the carpaccio - ask for an extra order of toast/bread. A gem on the Upper Westside. Just great.

Absolutely amazing experience. The service was wonderful. Our server was the executive bartender and made us cocktails based on our mood and they were INCREDIBLE. Started with the Gimlet which was so tasty, but the unique cocktails were even more amazing. The food was amazing, we had the scallops which were divine, the stroganoff, and the cacio e pepe. All were delicious and would order again. The ambience was clean upscale modern, with indoor and heated outdoor seating. We will absolutely be back!

Really can’t say enough positive things. Got to our reservation early and sat at the bar for 30 mins and the bar tender was fantastic, the cocktails were just what I wanted. Then when we moved to our table our server was very friendly with great recommendations. When I am back in Atlanta I will be definitely be coming back.

Excellent New Year Eves dinner. Explosions of flavor. Started with the Tempura Eggplant & Aioli dipping sauce, perfect. Tom started with The Tuna Tartare topped with a thin marbled Avocado and a quarter butter wedge. My entree was the colorful Southern Heirloom Beets, with pickled watermelon and horseradish. Beautiful and delicious. The mixologist served two great cocktails, green tea cucumber gimlet and a smooth chocolate martini. Ended our meal with a treat, the Bailey’s Butter Cake. Great staff, informed and attentive. Plenty vegetarian options. Definitely returning.

Love this place! Great happy hour menu, service is always on point especially at the bar. All the bartenders are cool, especially Blake. She always remembers my name and what I like to order. I recommend the pork chop and pappardelle pasta!

Carolina made our time! Friendly, professional, attentive! We will come back to hang with her for sure! Great happy hour! Loved the minitinis and oysters were perfect. The Ceasar salad delicious! Can’t wait to come back for happy hour

I’m at the Woodall several times a month. I only sit at the bar with Blake! She makes the best old fashioned on the planet. We always have a great conversation that makes the time fly by! She is my favorite bartender in the city! The food is always outstanding!!! The Woodall is a must and if you’re lucky, maybe Blake will be tending the bar!!

Phenomenal find on the west side. Service was great, menu was elevated but still attainable. The food was very good and all seemed a bit experimental. For example, the caesar salad has a bit of an Asian twist to it. All in all, a really good experience and will definitely be back.

My coworker and I come here every week. Food is pretty good, but the service is the reason we come back time and time again. Victoria takes great care of us and is always making sure we have a great dinner. If you decide to come here, you should definitely ask for her.

My wife and I came here for our 3 month anniversary, and couldn't have had a better time! Our server, Brian, did a great job telling us about the items on the menu. I am normally not a fan of red wine, but he made a great recommendation for one that I actually ended up enjoying! For food we had the roasted chicken, braised lamb, and our starter was the okra. Everything tasted extremely good, and was certainly worth the price. If you are looking for a good atmosphere, good service, and incredible food, look no further than the Woodall.

We were walk-ins. Had a great dinner with friends. My pan roasted chicken was delicious. Friends had the chicken sandwich, the shrimp & scallops and polenta, the burger, and a pasta dish. All enjoyed their meal. My mocktail was refreshing.

Consistently great food, and a friendly staff. The Woodall has been such a great addition to this neighborhood. Our family loves coming here. There are so many fantastic offerings, but the cheeseburger is top notch. Once you’ve had it, it’s hard not to order it every time.

My husband and I had the best date night here Wednesday evening. Carolina, our server went above and beyond to assist with my dairy allergy. She put us at ease when eating out can sometimes be stressful due to the severity of this allergy. Her kindness and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. The food was amazing as well-We can’t wait to come back.

Highly recommend. Had the duck spring rolls, fries, shrimp toast, cacio e pepe and porkchop and everything was excellent. Our server Jesse was very attentive and informative. The drinks were great as well. Will be back for brunch.

I have been here about 1/2 dozen times now and I have to say I have always had an excellent experience. I usually just sit at the bar. They have great craft cocktails a solid but not too overwhelming menu, and a nice patio area. I love their steak frites and the burger is definitely top notch. Highly recommend this great local eatery. :)

We had wonderful service. The server made excellent food recommendations and was attentive to my 1.5 year old daughter. I felt welcomed even though having a toddler at a restaurant is inherently chaotic. The food was also immaculate

Ok I'm so mad I can't remember my server's name he was awesome! I was there for my mom n laws Birthday we was a party of 9. This place is Amazing and when the serve you water in a glass bottle and it's filtered the sky's the limit from there. We all ordered different things mostly everyone did the burger me and my Lady had the fried chicken sandwich and she had the trout oh yeah had the Ceasars salad and the Brussels sprouts to start off with and it was all delicious! My only problem I had was the fries were to salty and the way my blood pressure set up that is not good for me. So next time in I'll just ask for no salt on the fries. The service from our server was great and we as a whole had a great time in your establishment. Much Gratitude and Respect!

Tried The Woodall for the first time and the experience was a delight. We were seated out on the patio and though it was freezing outside, we were comfortably warm. Our waitress was sweet and checked on us frequently. We had the crab beignets, scallops with mock fish, and trigger fish - we also ordered two drinks. The drinks were strong and pleasant. The food was good, but we weren’t blown away. Overall it was a nice spot to enjoy our date night.

Beautiful inside restaurant. Our service was ok. The presentation for the food was amazing. (5/5) Steak: The steak was the highlight of our meal. Fresh, tender and perfectly cooked. The sauce complimented everything and the veggies grilled perfectly well with the plate. (2/5) Seared scallop and Monkfish: It was really under seasoned and the orange sauce didn’t add flavor to the dish (2/5) sponge cake: The dish itself was way too sweet. The sponge cake had a Carmel soaked taste and it sat under a thick sauce which tasted like condensed milk. The airy white frosting was my favorite part of the dish. (5/5) lobster Louie: Beautiful and creative dish. The lobster was fresh and the quail was perfect. The green sauce was phenomenal and really pulled the dish together. (4/5) Gnocchi: It was perfectly cooked

S
Sasha Campbell

The ambience and space was flexible for example, my friend and I were pretty casual very casual but then you saw others were dressed up with heels and button downs. To put it simply:You didn't have to be too dressy or too dressed down. The service was great because all the staff members were very attentive and greeted everyone with the same enthusiasm. The drinks were amazing! Like GOOD! The food was okay. Out of all the things that we ordered I think I liked the calamari and rock shrimp the best. The pepperoncini throughout the dish was a new and nice touch. The least favorite was the opened faced tenderloin. I can't quite put my finger on what it lacked but it was just okay at best. My friend wasn't too keen on the food either. I say go and give them a twirl and when you do, if you enjoy a good caipirinha, try the Fire on Ice.

3.8 so 4, but my dish was ok (Cacio e Pepe); frites are frozen fries; The appetizers are excellent and most loved of all the food including the lobster bisque. Service was great and a good atmosphere for groups or a romantic evening. Overall impressed. Ps. I didn’t have one but heard the desserts were awesome

Plenty of parking. Great service by Christopher. Margaritas had to much ice. Had the Lump Crab Beignet and Sicilian Calamari and Rock Shrimp. Very small portions with the Shrimp. More crust than anything. Had the Steak Frites and Prime NY Strip. Really good steaks. They didn't have a military discount, but they gave us an appetizer free. I recommend this place for service and their steaks.

Love the seasonal dishes and cocktails. Portions are modest size, and so flavorful. We shared several items including the delicious charred okra!

Now, let me say that I visited this place off of reviews from Google! The was first time going and the service was good. Amanda, I think that was our server name. We asked for food suggestions, and she did well. We ordered the pigs in a blanket.. very good 1/2 dozen oysters... delicious! The NY Strip steak was not it.. I don't think it was a NY strip steak! It was cooked well, which we ordered medium. Had to send it back, and it took 20 minutes before we got the other steak, which again was not a NY Strip 🤦🏾‍♀️! We ordered their Beef fries on the side, which were good, just salty!! And we ordered Creme burlee.. that was good as well. 2 glasses of red wine 6oz and a 9oz pour. Grand total 140.00.. This is the kicker... An older couple walked by and said they cooked that steak too long!🤦🏾‍♀️🙄. So first time and last.

5 stars for service. 3 stars for food on a 1 - 5 scale whereas 3 means average. I've tried The Woodall a few times & each time I'm left thinking "meh". Last night we ordered 6 small plates, & with the exception of the carpaccio, each dish was just not great. I don't think we finished any of them. There's much better food options in the same complex but I would stop by for a drink where we enjoyed great service by the ladies behind the bar.

N
Nikki S

Ok the training or substitute chef must have been in the kitchen during my Wednesday night visit because the food was blah...disappointingly underwhelming. Cacio pepe, watery sauce, no pepper flavor, had to ask for a spoon to eat it, gnocchi thick and heavy. Beef Tallon fries although cooked to perfection, crispy but soft and fluffy inside, had no beef flavor, lobster was overcooked in the risotto. The spinach lacked salt. The board room Rita wasn't spicy. It was giving either the chef was having a bad night or just didn't have the ability to prepare these dishes correctly. So disappointing because my caloric intake and money deserves good nights only...this is a pricey restaurant. The best dish I ate was the smoke salmon dip...delicious...it gave every thing it was suppose to give. The service was great and the atmosphere was sexy date night or we grown chilling with friends. Those 2 things earned the 3 because the food was definitely not giving the quality nor deliciousness advertised.

J
John Atkins

A nice night out. good food, well presented, but nothing special. service was friendly, but kitchen missed on dietary restrictions. service recovery attempt was kind, but also brought us a gin drink we could not imbibe. atmosphere is gastropub -- convival and loud.

T
Tonita Osei-rosa

Tried this place as a "to go" option and was underwhelmed. I was told the food was good and it was. I just had to wait as they left off one of my desserts. I'm glad I checked my bag before I left. I also didn't get any plasticware. This is important because I'm visiting from out of town and had no silverware in my hotel. I wish I had known before I left 15% tip. I had to stop at Publix and some. To really enjoy this spot, I would suggest dine in only.

K
Keyur Bhatnagar

Great food, but the overall experience was undermined by poor service and subpar cocktails. While sitting at the bar I repeatedly had to ask for service and was often told to wait — sometimes the bartender simply forgot me. I ordered the lamb sugo and bit down on a bone, nearly injuring myself because it wasn’t disclosed or removed. Delicious food, but the safety and attention to detail need serious improvement.

B
Betty Jo

I was so excited to be returning. We always had wonderful service and food in the past. We talk about the place so much friends gave us a gift card. Last night we didn’t even get our servers name, an introduction or anything. She walked up to the table and said yea. I think at one point we might of gotten a do you want something? It was a different experience.

R
Rob Jones

The food was cold, we had a reservation and was not serviced for 20mins while being sat, it was not a busy day and the server was not serving well. at the end they asked do we want dessert and we stated no. we sat for 20 more mins and then i asked “do we pay at the front?” and she said “oh let me get your check”. they also had kids running around and blasting their phones do not recommend

Ordered the Durham’s Fried Chicken Sandwich for takeout. Was excited to dig in, but I realized a bit too late that the chicken was raw. Ugh. Disgusted. Just crossing my fingers I don’t get sick. The burger we ordered with it was good, but I just can’t get over the raw chicken sandwich.
