Popped over outside of any busy lunch/dinner rushes, and was pleasantly surprised, especially for my first time trying this place in general. Chicken tenders were piping hot, even with a 5 min hike to the house. Chicken club sandwich was great as well. If they keep up the fresh hot orders, I will gladly be a regular.

For as long as we've had Slim Chicken's in DFW I just haven't been. Considering tenders are white meat, they know how to keep the chicken juicy! The meat is so good. There are many sauce options and so far all the ones we've tried are delicious. The fries are very good and so is the toast. I love my Canes and the only thing I wish was that they had Canes sauce! The banana pudding cheesecake thing was also one of the best I've had in a long time and come in a glass container! Be prepared to spend a little more than a few bucks on it though. The staff both times we've been have been great as well. No complaints and they truly seem happy. Give them a shot and you won't regret it!

The chicken strips, chicken, wings, macaroni and cheese, fried pickles, mushrooms, Texas toast, and the desserts were delicious. They have individual meals as well as large family meals. This is more than enough to feed large a family. I will definitely be back to try the chicken and waffles. This location also had red velvet jar that I’d like to try on a later date.

Accompanying these delights was a generous gallon of raspberry sweet tea, along with an assortment of sauces (with our top picks being the BBQ and honey mustard). The flavors hit the mark; though the chicken leaned slightly towards the salty side, it paired well with the refreshing sweet tea. The fries stood out, boasting a perfect balance of crispiness outside and softness within. My personal favorite, however, was the garlic toast, which offered just the right touch of buttery garlic goodness. The sweet tea was pleasantly balanced in its sweetness. The Mac and cheese also received a thumbs-up. All of this came at a reasonable price of $35, leaving us with substantial leftovers. The staff's friendliness shone through as they readily assisted us and frequently checked in. Without a doubt, I'll be returning for another visit!

My first time at Slim Chickens and the young man at the drive thru was the nicest, most genuine person to me! I had the tender bites but they weren't on the drive thru menu so he let me change my order at the window and even gave me a free tshirt! I told him it was my first time there and he said, We hope you come back! The food was great! I love the seasoning and the chicken was juicy and fried perfectly crisp. The fries were also perfect. I'll go back and I hope it's the same sweet patient guy working there!!!

I made the mistake of ordering spicy tenders and when it got delivered, it was too spicy for my daughter to eat, and the manager was able to adjust and make new tenders for us and I’m really thankful for it and bought two desserts. I love the variety on the menu! The food is excellent! We tried a little of everything. The only item I didn't care for was the chicken and waffles. But everything else was great! The dessert in a jar is a must!!!!

I first ate slim chickens yesterday, and I got the slim meal with sweet red chili sauce, and it was amazing. The fries were crispy and salty with the skin on. The chicken was crunchy and juicy, and I could taste the butter packed inside the toast. But some things they should improve on are knowing how to handle the drive thru, making the chicken slightly bigger and also get a better 20oz cup because the one I got was just white with my name on it, but overall it was really good. Edit: I now understand why they call it SLIM chickens 😅🤣

I have passed this place thinking it’s just another canes, chicken tastes like it’s been boiling in water all day and the only thing saving it is the sauce lol was I WRONG. Got the 6pc tender bites: chicken was fresh and decent, fries were good( and I’m not a fry type person), slim sauce was decent, and the toasted bread was perfected. I will definitely be back to try the wings and deserts.

I ordered delivery on Friday for the Paul/ Tyson fight. It was $80. When I received my order I was missing straws, my gravy and the 2 desserts I ordered. I called after it was delivered and the manager said she would personally deliver my desserts. She ended up bringing 2 additional desserts for us. Of course, we wish it was delivered the right way in the first place BUT the fact that the manager went out of her way to bring us the food made this review a 4 star instead of a 1 star. They take accountability and right their wrongs. The manager went above and beyond and we really appreciated it!

Overall, it's pretty solid. But if you're calling in the order for pick up (or delivery), be sure to check the order. I can't tell you how often the order was completely wrong.

If you like chicken then it's your place, lemon garlic imo was super salty and greasy, a little over cooked too, fries were ok.

My first time trying Slim Chickens was at a different (Mansfield) years ago. I wasn't impressed by the regular fried chicken tenders and french fries, and I didn't do a review because I didn't pay for it. The company must have stepped up the menu over the years. I only noticed because I went to this location for a seasonal shake and decided to give it another chance. Slim sauce (another seasoned mayonnaise) - not a winner. I can smell the pepper through the bag. I'd rather dip my fries in honey mustard than this. Fries - still not a winner. Seasonal shakes - winners. Shaken fried chicken tenders paired with a dipping sauce - winner. Wings - okay. The wet rub was smothered on the wings well but you can tell they're bland underneath when you bite. Packaging - could be better. The wet rubs on the meats were all over the fries making them soggy. Final verdict: Good but very overpriced. $18 for 3 small wings + 3 tenders + fries + shake is very overpriced. You don't get your value's worth at that price.

Ordered a family meal for pick up, picked up my food, drove all the way home only to find they forgot to put the chicken in the bag. I called the store and they agreed to remake the meal. I go back to the store check-in, but my food is not ready. I waited almost an hour for them to get me my food and got asked my name several times with promises that they were working on my order. While waiting, I could see that they were very disorganized. Several orders were getting lost. Orders taking a long time to come out and food stacking up in the window. For fast food, that was certainly not my experience. I would have gladly looked past the initial error of leaving out the chicken if they had immediately made it right, but that on top of having to wait so long to get my food was very disappointing.

Slim chicken or Dirty Bird? I ordered the chicken club sandwich combo. The fries were decent but the lettuce had dirt on it. However, the manager refunded my order without hesitation. That’s the only reason why I gave them 3 stars. Ask them to wash off their produce before they put it in your sandwich. That’s it, that’s all.

This place literally forgets to give us parts of our order every single time we go. We always have to check to make sure we have everything and every single time we have to walk in to get what's missing. I'm done with it. Last time we eat here.

My family and I have ordered from this place several times and while the food is good, and the sauces are equally as good. Our biggest frustration is the lack of service. I don’t know if it’s from Management not being able to train people well but it’s always incredibly slow and often times the order is wrong, especially at the Aubrey location. If I wanted this kind of service I would just go to McDonald’s.

First and last visit unfortunately. Canes has never served over cooked chicken and unseasoned fries. The peach iced tea tasted water down as well. And I got light ice so.

Worst chicken tenders I've ever had, if you could call them that, because they're just cut up pieces of chicken and not tenders at all. For the price I expect more. Fries were old and terrible chicken was old and dry, my order was wrong and the drive-thru took 25 minutes for two cars. This was my first time to slim chickens and I feel like maybe it could be good but this experience was absolutely terrible.

I sit down trying to eat my meal 40 min before close and this employee kid starts shaking out doormat rugs right next to my table and rolls it up and sets it within 12 inches of my seat. Talk about lack of awareness, common sense, and manners. Im literally the only customer in the restaurant and thats how I get treated, I jusf wanted to eat in peace and this kid ruined my meal.

This place took over 20 min to give us our meal through a drive through only to give us cold fries. I asked for hot fries and they said it would be even more of a wait so I asked for a refund and tried to return the food. They said they don’t do refunds. How not when they are not providing quality service?! I didn’t want to wait on fries because the rest of the food would have been ice box cold. DO NOT GO HERE!

The girl working the window might as well have thrown the food in my car with how quickly she tried to get me out of there. When I arrived home I found the meal itself to be sadly disappointing considering the price ($10.50) for 3 tenders. Fries and chicken were bland. At least the Garlic Parmesan sauce was good.

The food's flavor barely reaches a 1.7 out of 5. It's puzzling why they put the sauce cups inside the box. The butter on the toast is equally dreadful, tasting like pure cooking oil. The service is extremely sluggish. It took nearly half an hour to get the initial order, followed by another half-hour for the revised order, which was still incorrect. I ended up discarding all the food and opted for a salad at home instead. Without a doubt, I strongly advise against trying Slim Chickens.

If this is how management handles customers now, this place is no longer worth visiting. We won’t be returning, and this location seriously needs stronger leadership and better customer service.

Whoever working night shift tonight decided after a certain time 35 minutes before closing they’re not taking orders! I drove 15 minutes one way for nothing! I’m so happy I didn't place my order online because nobody came to the mic or window!

There were 2 other sets of customers when I walked in. Ordered and waited about 10 minutes to get my order. The tenders were anything but tender, dried out and almost cold. That can be said about the fried as well. If I waited 10 minutes, I’m expecting it to be hot. Hope they took a picture as I will not be returning.
