We held a private event in the patio area of Ariccia. It was absolutely stunning. The servers were prompt and the food was delicious. Valet was complimentary for our guests as well. Our event coordinator, Melaine, was responsive and assisted with the luncheon menu choices. Our guests that were local to the area were not aware this hidden gem existed. I highly recommend hosting any private event at Ariccia. The inside of the restaurant is also stunning. We will definitely return. Thank you!
Great brunch today! Eating outside was a wonderful treat. The biscuits and gravy were great. Loved the waffles with fruit. Alahna provided fast, friendly service.
Awesome dining experience. Tee was our waitress and she was excellent. Our group had pizza and pasta with the salads. 100% recommended!
Great restaurant!!! Excellent food and friendly staff! My sis, my friends and I had a great time last night!!! We will difinitely come back!<--- Was few years back!! But now the food are not as good as it was! I was just there last week! The meat was dry and I sure not a fan of red risotto!
We had a great experience here! Our server Emily was so sweet and the food tasted amazing.
I love this place. There calamari is wonderful, crispy, and tender. There breakfast menu is also phenomenal. I mostly ate breakfast at this restaurant as they also provide room service to the hotel
The taste was heavenly, it was moist and yummy and very filling. Tomatoes tasted very fresh, highly recommend!
Really enjoyed our meal here. We ordered the Tuscan ceaser salad and the Foccacia Romano bread(forgot to take a picture). For entrees we ordered the Porchetta DI Ariccia and the Wagyu Strip both were very good. I would recommend stopping here if you are in town!
Went with family for Sunday brunch. Love the Auburn Hotel, and I've heard great things about their restaurant. Food was delicious, and the local vegetables were amazing. Our server James was great and patient as we were a big crowd.
A nice attractive trendy bar. The only downside is they don't carry screwball. The food was great and they brought the meals out with perfect timing for the next course! They had no problem with alterations to the spices or sauces when requested. I will definitely be back!
Loved the place good food with great customer service and clean restrooms hard to combine all this in one place we will comeback
Sunny is the best server! Always remembered my cappuccino order at breakfast every morning and went out of her way to accommodate us. Food was meh, atmosphere was great.
Quiet and great service. No charge to valet your car if you’re there for the restaurant. Everything was fresh and delicious but I could eat that salad every day for the rest of my life it was soooo good.
Ariccia is a true gem for anyone who loves Italian food. Every dish we tried was bursting with authentic flavor and made with evident care. From perfectly al dente pasta to rich, savory sauces and beautifully seasoned proteins, the menu showcases classic Italian cooking at its best. The warm, inviting atmosphere and attentive service made the meal feel special from start to finish. If you’re craving amazing Italian food, Ariccia should be at the top of your list.
Stopped by for brunch today for the first time and this place is absolutely fantastic! The food is delicious, and fresh. The service was equally as fantastic.
Absolutely Amazing! The drinks and appetizers were so good, I would have been happy to stop there! The Focaccia de Recco (white truffle taleggio, honey whipped goat cheese, rosemary), was so delicious I could have even the whole plate! The service was outstanding and the restaurant including the hotel are beautiful. They will soon be adding a jazz bar next to the restaurant. Everyone’s main course was also amazing! A must stop if you’re in Auburn, AL.
We had pizza to-go which was very delicious and a soft wood fired thin crust. The pesto burrata one was especially flavorful!
Loved this place. Some of the best Italian I have had anywhere; great atmosphere (Motown all night!, but still quiet enough to chat and be heard); beautiful setting. My wife had Cacio e Pepe and I had Porchetta Ariccia, with risotto. Unbelievable. Service was outstanding. The hostess found us at the bar when our table was ready,; the bartender brought our bill to the table; waitress was pleasant and efficient. Service could not have been better. Auburn's School of Hospitality should be proud! Highly recommended!
Beautiful restaurant friendly knowledgeable and quick service and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious and we will be making this a regular date night! We were more than impressed. Absolutely nothing negative to say! Thank you!
We’ve been here several times for dinner and it’s been great every time. Looking forward to it next meal here.
Pizza dough was brunt like charcoal. But other foods I ordered were good. Their atmosphere inside is nice and has enough couch areas if you prefer so. Suitable for both formal and informal breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I went there in afternoon and they accommodated me without reservations.
We had the most beautiful experience at Ariccia Cucina Italiana celebrating a birthday on January 1st, and I honestly couldn’t be more grateful for the team there. Both Claires were absolutely incredible. Claire the hostess from South Korea and Claire our waitress from Birmingham went above and beyond to make the night smooth, warm, and stress free, even with a party size that kept shifting. Their flexibility and kindness made everything feel easy. The ambiance was perfect, the food was delicious, and the service truly elevated what was already a special night into something unforgettable. We were able to relax, be present, and enjoy each other, and that’s really because of how well everything was handled behind the scenes. A sincere thank you to everyone at Ariccia for helping us celebrate such a meaningful birthday as a family. We’ll absolutely be back.
I come down from a big city in the northeastern US to visit my family in Opelika occasionally and I always enjoy eating here. The porchetta is something of dreams. I love how the vibe is nice, but still very Alabama southern hospitality. Great food, great drinks at a relatively reasonable rate. Come with an open mind and an open stomach and enjoy what Ariccia has to offer. Highly recommend.
One of the best spots in Auburn proper, including for breakfast (which is what we got). Decent enough prices for upscale breakfast, with plenty of fresh options. Or, savory, like the AL-famous Conecuh sausage. Exceptional service, and convenient to campus.
We have enjoyed Ariccia countless times during our many visits to Auburn. The experience is always amazing--superior food and service. Tonight, I had a special request/accomodation for my daughter which required the support of the general manager, Imelda. Once again, Ariccia was top notch, and Imelda was incredibly accommodating.
We tried this place for breakfast and it was delicious. Waitress was very nice as well. The only issue was although the restaurant was fairly empty, host kept us waiting for 20 min after she said it would only be 10min, and when we asked it felt like she had forgotten.
Really interesting place with great service you should try
Very nice experience in overall. Satisfied with their antipasto board; salmon dish was really good too. It's located in Auburn University Hotel.
Great food, professional service, but be ready for an Italian style wait between courses. Allow for 2 hours or so for a proper dinner. (Wine, appetizer, first, second, dessert...)
Our server Joshua was great! He was very friendly and accommodating. (I sort of ordered "off menu for dietary reasons, but the kitchen complied!) The menu looked absolutely fantastic. I only gave it four stars due over the freshness of the fish. However, I look forward to returning when I can have full run of the menu. We will be back! Ps. Get the doughnuts (Zeppolis).
New Year's Eve Dinner at Cucina Italiana – A Flavorful First Visit We decided to ring in the New Year with dinner at Cucina Italiana in Auburn, AL, and it turned out to be quite the bustling spot. The restaurant was packed, which might be typical for a holiday evening, though this was our first time dining there, so we weren’t sure what to expect. I went with the beet and spinach salad topped with salmon. It was an intriguing combination—earthy beets paired with the freshness of spinach and the richness of the salmon. While the beets were a bit overpowering at times, the dish overall was satisfying and well-prepared. My wife absolutely loved her meal, which made the evening even better. While I can’t speak to the usual atmosphere, the lively crowd and solid food made for a memorable first impression. Looking forward to trying more from their menu on a quieter night.
This upscale Italian restaurant consistently delivers delicious food, cozy ambiance, and outstanding service. The highlight of our meal was the mouth-watering Focaccia bread - so good it's worth every penny of the $8 price tag! While it would be nice to have the Focaccia included with the meal, the quality and flavor make it a worthwhile splurge. Overall, this restaurant is a must-visit for Italian food enthusiasts seeking a sophisticated and satisfying dining experience.
Kind service, Good atmosphere. One of the best place for brunch or dinner in Auburn area. I like their food because of the layer of flavor. Also less sodium using then other restaurants. I would go there if I need some place to take someone important to me.
Jazz was going on in the bar next door. Red Ragu was ok not a lot of depth of flavor, it needed a lot of crushed black pepper to get it going . The cheesecake was nice.
The atmosphere at night was wonderful. Set inside of a beautiful hotel across from Auburn University, this is a great place to visit. The handmade pasta was delicious, the sauce had flavor and density, drinks were not watered down, and the portions were a nice size 👌. Definitely stop by if you want to have a hearty Italian meal .
We went here without reservation but we were welcomed with pleasure. A good place for formal, semi-formal dining. Our foods were served in 20 minutes. They have big servings and we did not finish our plates, so our server packed our leftovers. At night, the bar is open and serves drinks. They have indoor and outdoor seatings. The crews are local and international student interns and professional servers. My experiences were not unpleasant. They are always polite.
This was a great place to eat, food was great, but not exceptional. Prices are a bit higher than quality, but not by much. We got the margarita pizzas w added grilled chicken 8.5/10 (was great but lacked in freshness) and scarfed them down. We also felt a sense of discomfort as the hostesses both came across a touch pretentious. We were well dressed and excited to try Italian so the oddity in the customer service seemed off brand(not the southern hospitality that is so common here). Great atmosphere, great place for a family celebration or date. I will be back, and hopefully, the first staff that greet my party will be a bit more genuine in nature.
Dishes are fairly hit or miss if going for more classic/simple dishes, but the more complex ones are fantastic. Service is good due to hospitality students making up most of the staff. Good for a later meal as they stay open later than some of the other nicer restaurants nearby.
Food and wine are good. It's in a hotel and a bit overpriced for the area as a result. For the quality of food and the wine/ bar selection I expected a higher level of service. The staff was nice and proficient, but really didn't know much about the food or wine. I realize it's a college town but maybe a staff meal every night to educate them on Italian food and wine pairing would be helpful.
My partner and I have not returned since our second time only because it's a bit pricey for the food we got each time (flavor-wise). I remember the truffle fries being my favorite. The service was good. I think it depends on your palate. Overall, I would still recommend!
I have to say that I could get five stars for the drinks that are awesome. However, nothing extra extraordinary for the food. In fact, I think it was so simple and poorly me. I could barely taste the difference between a common food, industry or restaurant than this one. The atmosphere was quite psychotic, but at the same time maintained quiet on the bar area. our server was average it could be a little bit more attentive to our needs, or friendly but nothing to be concerned.
So, we went with high expectations.. The service was amazing! don't get me wrong, the food was good, but it wasn't worth the price. We started with a charcuterie board. The prosciutto had a smokey flavor and was amazing. The cheese, on the other hand, did not pair very well with the rest of the board. The mini cucumbers were okay at best. The almonds and olives were delightful. Next we ordered entree's. We had the swordfish with brussel sprouts and cauliflower puree, and we had the slow roasted pork with braised carrot puree and broccolini. We also ordered a side of risotto. The presentation for everything was nicely done. The swordfish plate had no complaints, very well executed. The slow roasted pork was very tasty, but we think there was an oopsie with the sides. The carrot puree and broccolini we're very sour. Maybe it wasn't tasted before it left the pass, because that's not how it is supposed to taste. The risotto was decent. Maybe a tad heavy on the truffle oil, and it was a bit cold. But overall, was a very enjoyable outing. Service was great, they comp the charcuterie board. The Manhattans were delicious. Cheers to the bartender!
Don't get the steak. It was a chared and burned steak, accompanied by stale, half cooked fries. You can see in the picture the thickness of the burned edges, or the staleness of the fries. However, others in our party were satisfied with the margarita pizza.
Quite honestly a little underwhelmed. Been here before and it was good but nothing worth the price in my opinion. My boyfriend’s fish was raw.. like pink in the middle and looked like it was sashimi. Which he is currently sick now which we think is from that. Not to mention that the risotto was bland and tastes like peas. My pasta tasted like they poured plan Marina sauce with some extra garlic on some pasta and called it a day. I could’ve made both dishes better at home. When I told the waiter about the fish he offered a free desert which was nice but honestly I would’ve rather just had a couple dollars off the dish. My food was less than subpar as well. Very unfortunate for how nice the ambiance is.
This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Auburn. I'm a resident, and this will be my last visit. My best advice is to NOT order the Porchetta. Dry dry dry and you need a chainsaw to cut the cheek part. The service was not good, very slow, and we asked 3 times for our focaccia. We refused to place an order for entrees until we received it (1 hour). Just go to Venditori's!
Passing through on an essential business trip and stayed at the hotel. Ordered food delivered to our room and it was not great. Pasta dish was very undercooked, chewy and not edible. My husband said his hamburger tasted strange, we were eating in the dark, so turned on the light and the burger was raw in the middle. Obviously with everything going on the hotel and restaurant were not busy. Advice is to take more time in food preparation.😭
As an Italian from New York City, it is very hard to find good Italian food in Alabama. My first time eating here it had great food and service, but I won’t be returning here after my second visit. I have a shellfish allergy and despite ordering a sausage pasta dish with no mention of shrimp on the menu, I discovered multiple shrimp SHELLS mixed in with my food. While my reaction wasn’t severe, this level of negligence could easily have sent someone with a more serious allergy straight to the hospital. The manager only comped my meal, but I feel the dinner in its entirety should have been comped. I winded up paying over $70 for my anniversary dinner that was cut short. After that happened my girlfriend and I both lost our appetite to continue with our meal.
Listen, there's nothing wrong with hiring or training aspiring culinary art Majors in your restaurant. However, charging the prices you charge for the food and drinks to come out wrong... CONSISTENTLY.. because the staff (students in training) don't have any experience, is ridiculous and wrong. Every single thing we orded came out with some issue of its own. Again, it's admirable that you're employing students. It's a disgrace you're charging $30 a cocktail and $80 a plate for them both to be messed up. The only silver lining is that the students were very polite and professional even though they didn't really know what they were doing.
Over an hour to get our food. Unacceptable! Service here has gone down tremendously. Our server was nowhere to be found. We did not even have any water on the table. My daughter had a salad and it was extremely salty. The Fettuccine Alfredo was way to garlicky (and we love garlic!). The pizza was a bit greasy. The server was very nice and apologetic. It was not her fault, but we are not looking forward to coming back any time soon.
Arrived at 5:29 with a 5:30 reservation. Thought we were being seated when we followed hostess into dining area. She then told us to wait in the lobby until the restaurant opened..... thirty seconds later! Spoke with the manager about customer service, flexibility, and hospitality. She didn't seem to understand any of these concepts. I wish your restaurant well, however, I won't be returning.
