I come to Auburn once a year and this is always my first stop for dinner. Great food, prices, and friendly staff :)
We want to sincerely apologize to a valued guest who recently visited with a service dog. We regret any misunderstanding and want you to know you and your service animal are always welcome. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience during your recent visit to our restaurant. After initially speaking with you, a different table became available, and I personally went out to find you to offer a seat. Unfortunately, I was unable to locate you at that time. Please know that we truly value you and your service animal, and we would be honored to welcome you back anytime.
Very good Korean food and friendly staff. We had the bibimbap in the stone bowl, ramyeon, and the bulgogi. Very yummy; has been a staple in Auburn for years.
I FREAKING LOVE THEIR KIMBAP HERE!!! I get kimbap fix at this establishment whenever I am in auburn, I usually do for DoorDash orders here which is a big mistake as I was missing out on the atmosphere here. It’s great here, I love it. The custom service is so so so great here not even going to lie at all, they super nice and kind with you. They let you take your time when ordering food and help you on what to get when you are indecisive which I myself am a very indecisive person besides the kimbap… they are so so so good here, you gotta get some when you are here. But besides the kimbap that is usually really good at this establishment, their other entrees are as well or equal to “good” or if not “really great”.
We just ate Naruto. Food was very good. Service and price were good as well. If in Auburn, this is the best Korean food available. We tried a couple other places and they were more expensive, slower, and food was not as good.
I indulged in a delightful dining experience, savoring the following exquisite dishes: 1️⃣ Kimchi Jjigae with Grilled Mackerel 2️⃣ Spicy Soft Tofu Soup with Stir Fried Spicy Pork 3️⃣ Nae Jang Tang The initial offering, Kimchi Jjigae, erred on the side of excessive sweetness and saltiness; however, the Grilled Mackerel provided a satisfactory balance. 🌟 The second course was a gustatory delight, with the Spicy Soft Tofu Soup and particularly the Stir Fried Spicy Pork showcasing exceptional flavors. 👌 As for the third dish, Nae Jang Tang emerged as the pièce de résistance, consistently standing out as the highlight of my visits. 😋 This culinary masterpiece boasts a consistently delectable flavor profile. Commendably, the earthen pot employed in serving maintained the optimal temperature throughout, allowing us to relish the piping hot, smoky delicacies from the first bite to the last. 🍲 A culinary haven where warmth and flavor converge, ensuring a memorable dining experience.
Bad experience. My soondubu barely had any seafood. I asked for spicy and it was very bland. My wife's bibimbap barely had any meat. When we mentioned it, they said this was their regular food portions. If this is their regular food portions then I recommend not going here.
It's a great place to sit down and get some great food. The service was really great and food was served fast didn't have to wait long. The food was really good, the best I've had in a while when it comes to eating Korean food. The dish sizes were more than I expected in a good way. Only really came for the ramen but glad we tried the other dishes. Got kakuni ramen (below), miso kakuni ramen, sundae, Tteokbokki, naruto bowels, gyoza, chicken bowel. Will be going back soon great place to eat.
This is one of the best restaurants in Auburn and absolute best Korean restaurant I have ever had the pleasure of eating at in Alabama. I recognize genuine Korean flavor and mannerisms due to my upbringing and growing up in South Korea. The service and food received was top notch and the staff was super friendly. Portion size is huge and the price is very affordable. This is Korean dining done right. My fiancé and I were both very very pleased and amazed with everything your restaurant has to offer. Amazing chefs, servers, and food here. If you want affordable Korean dining and some of the best service do eat here. Even if you have never tried Korean food I highly recommend going and picking a few items and enjoying the food. You can’t choose a wrong item on their menu. We will be eating here again and again. I look forward to the Korean fried chicken next time 🍗😁
Went for a date to try something new and let me tell You, it was fantastic! The place is small and cute, very clean! Kinda private. Enjoy your meal with beautiful pictures and some lovely music. And the food!! Boyfriend doesn't like oriental food too much but he loved this beautiful place just as much as I did!!
One of the more authentic Korean restaurants that I've visited. Unfortunately, no Yakimandu, but the staff did their best to make gyoza taste like Yaki. My noodle dish was a little undercooked, but the freshly made kimbap more than made up for it. I love that there are no forks here. It's just traditional Korean food served in a traditional way. You know it's good stuff when all of the Koreans in the area eat here.
The food is ok. I had the okonomiyaki which I have been scouring parts of Alabama for. Fortunately, I found a rendition of it here. The okonomiyaki is a bit much for one person but I would recommend it to others who want an idea of what okonomiyaki tastes like. I suppose it's Osaka style rather than Hiroshima style as it doesn't have noodles in it... I think they call it mixed seafood jun too.... They have other Korean dishes that look authentic so if you're wondering about Korean cuisine in Auburn, I would try here! I saw they have fried chicken with a spicy sauce so that's my next thing to try.
Delicious food! The decor/atmosphere is minimal on aesthetics - a giant wall screen plays Korean TV - and the service barely adequate. This bustling little restaurant is frequented mostly by internationals who seem to come for their favorite authentic dishes. The menu is extensive for such a small place. The 'box' lunch/dinner has a lovely, intricate presentation, and the seafood is fresh. We were not disappointed.
To start with the good-- was able to be seated quickly and the service was quick--two things which was very much appreciated. Now the not so good-- the food was not the greatest. We had the bibimbap hot bowl which not only lack flavor but also severely lack bulgogi. It was more rice than anything.
We didn’t end up eating here because we received essentially no service. We arrived around 6 p.m. and stood at the entrance for almost 10 minutes. There was no sign indicating self-seating or asking guests to wait to be seated, and the restaurant was only half full and not busy. Two staff members were working - one serving tables and one at the front desk. Both saw us multiple times and repeatedly walked past us while serving other tables, completely ignoring us. It became clear that if we didn’t go up and ask ourselves, we would have continued to be ignored. This place was recommended by a friend for its Korean BBQ, and since four friends were visiting me, we decided to try it together. Only after we approached the front desk did he point us to a table. Even then, we were never served, while other tables continued to receive food and attention. A simple sentence acknowledging us would have taken zero effort, but apparently that was too much. English-speaking customers were clearly being served, so language was not the issue. Most other tables appeared to be Korean. I don’t know whether this was discrimination or just terrible management, but either way it was unacceptable. We left and went to another Korean restaurant next door, where we were welcomed and served immediately. If you want Korean food, do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else.
It was a really suck experience. We went there yesterday. These two waiters just stood there even we ask to order. I am not sure whether our 5 people are Chinese. So they just treated us bad. And every time food was delivered. They just put aside and went away. They did not even ask whether we need any help whether we can ignite the gas. After the meal . They even ask us to include the tips inside and it seems we need to give them tips mandatorily even they showed really bad attitude. Never come back again.
