4 hrs from home I decided to stop, I'm glad I did, atmosphere is great, the beer selection is excellent, a few really good IPAs on the list, ended up taking some home, no food but I was told food trucks show up, to top all of this service is excellent!! Go now !
I love that they support the local mountain bike scene. The spot is good for groups, it's right off the freeway and there's plenty of parking. Beers good too.
staff was extremely friendly and patient..as this was our first visit. Had a flight and actually enjoyed all 5 of the choices. Can't wait to return and try a few more.
Good beer, friendly and helpful staff. They have a different food truck every night. Great place to meet friends and unwind!
The staff are really nice and the beer is good. I wish there were more stouts and dark beers, but I have enjoyed it nonetheless.
Great beer, great ambiance and great people. Always have a great time here. Highly recommend checking it out!
One of the best breweries around the Sacramento Area. Top 5 if you ask me. Very quality fine brews.
One of our go to places. Delicious beers and they usually have good food trucks rolling through.
Lovely taproom and the beer selection is excellent. Not too heavy on any one type of beer and each beer I tried was great.
1st time there and had a couple beers and were very good..Atmosphere was also very nice look forward to going back.
It's a fun place with great beer. Side note. It used to be a motorcycle shop before it was a brewery. Yours truly was the service manager. A reply... bonus. I unfortunately live 90 minutes away but it's worth coming down and stopping for a pint
I’ve been to this Brewery many times and they always take care of their patrons, I do regret not tasting more of their beers, their Brewmasters are top notch. With COVID-19 ever present I’m happy to see them taking the pre-cautions needed to keep themselves and their patrons safe. If you can’t respect the “Mask policy” don’t bother leaving your house. They are trying their best to serve you beer as safely as possible. Can’t wait to try some of there new Brews!
LOVED this place. Knowledgeable, friendly staff that are happy to help you find a good fit from their impressive selection. Worth a trip up the hill from Sac to taste their wares, definitely plan on coming back with reinforcements - and a growler!
Love your beer and the atmosphere, but I don't like leaving my chair and getting in line to order another beer. Especially, when 10 newbies are trying to figure out what they want to order for their first time. Could you please have another person waiting on those of us who are drinking and already seated?
My favorite local brewery. Beautiful view and easy parking and right off the freeway from work. Love the staff, always a laugh. I miss the rootbeer but those Seltzers are super nice.
AMAZING! Yesterday my husband, brother in law and I stopped at Crooked Lane Brewing! What a great place to be and explore if you are a beer lover. Not only do they have a very good choice of different brews (something for everyone) but the also offer their brews to go, but I was particularly impressed by their Veedels Koelsch Style. It was the first spot-on Koelsch I have tasted since moving to the States after living over 4 decades in Cologne, Germany: the mother and original birth-place of the original Koelsch! Yes, I have had them all and this one is THE ONE right after the original brews in Germany. No wonder they won a medal for this wonderful, crisp and clean-tasting beer! What topped off our visit was talking to Teresa, the lovely lady who brews the Koelsch while the guys connected with the also very sympathetic owner. Super nice people, easy-going, and the atmosphere is great, too! We all fell in love with this place instantly! The only regret I have is that I promised, I'd drive (well, it was Father's Day after all!) Thank goodness they also had the Koelsch to go ... weekend saved :)
Great variety of beers (dozen plus) to choose from with a few different types I hadn't heard of before. I really enjoyed the Death by 1 2 punch mango and peach hazy IPA with a 10 percent abv.
They released Resilence which %100 of the sales went to Camp Fire victims. Classy move and a delicious beer which is why they got 5 stars! To be honest they have come a long way with Hazy IPA's and overall good beer. They would get 5 stars without the wonderful gesture.
This brewery is just what Auburn needed. They have a great patio with a rotating selection of food trucks and live music on Friday nights. Get there early if you want a seat around the fire pit. We always start the night with a sampler of five beers.
Fantastic atmosphere! Great Craft Brews, dog friendly and the staff are outstanding! Would highly recommend. I have even hosted an event there, they do a great job!
An awesome addition to the beer scene in Placer County. The space is amazing as well as the service. My wife and I love visiting Crooked Lane. The beer has continued to get better and better.
Visited for our anniversary, Katie made it such a pleasant experience!! Loved the atmosphere and will definitely be returning!!
Great beers, both German style and IPAs. Friendly staff. Excellent noise control - even with a full house, you can still have a conversation in a normal volume.
This is the most well rounded brewery in the Sacramento area, Northern Ca, or West Coast even. The location has 3 separate areas to enjoy your beer in your style. They bring different types of food in (foodtrucks) and rotate seasonal handles. There is a beer for all here and sodas for the kids. They bring in live music and comedey acts, on occasion, for the adults. Of course they do growler fills and have canned pints to go. Above all the friendly and educated staff that appeciates input and has great knowledge of BEER.
Very light atmosphere with a non judgemental feel. Everyone here has smiles & the place is large enough to host various types of gatherings. 98% caucasian people.
Best Hefeweizen I've had since I came home from Germany in 1976! And the featured food truck, Outlaw Cuisine, was off the chart! Great day all around!
Great selection of beers and relax atmosphere, good for pop-ins and staying awhile.
Great place to have a beer and a bite to eat rotating food trucks. Saw comedy show there and it was great.
Fantastic venue and great beer! My wife and I had our wedding reception here (roughly 70 guests) and the venue and staff were tremendously helpful and helped us have an absolutely incredible day. I'm thrilled with how everything turned out and couldn't recommend Crooked Lane enough both to come by and grab a drink or to have a larger event. Thank you Crooked Lane!
Nice brewhaus with a great selection of beers and friendly service!
A must visit! Greatest staff, super fun family friendly, dog friendly atmosphere! Best beers I've ever had, the one two punch is outstanding! Full flavor, full body, overall incredible! Food truck options each night so you get a wonderful verity of great food. Music and comedy venue weekly is second to none. Highly recommend.
Been looking forward to visiting this brewery for several years. First off they have some of the best staff! From the owners to the bartender, they're extremely pleasant to speak with. I really enjoyed the diversity of beers they had to offer and not just 10 IPA's. They had a great assortment of German style beers and each one was great!
We were looking for a brewery to meet up with our friends where we could bring our Corgis. My daughter recommended Crooked Lane & we’re so glad she did. Wonderful outdoor seating areas and a great selection of beers. We enjoyed all the different ones we tried. A server recommended some local eateries that delivered food and a food truck also came with delicious burgers. Everyone was so nice, even bringing our dogs a fresh water bowl. We’ll definitely be back! 👍🍻🍺
Super nice Brew Pub. Light an airy inside, with a covered patio area. There is tons of seating and it's all lit up with natural light. It's just a great place to chill. And, as it turns out, they make some good beer too! Loved my IPA. The wife loved her Kettle Sour.
A nice brewery located in a very large facility with amazing architecture. Honestly I thought I was pulling up to a government administration building. There is ample seating indoors and on the front porch as well as the patio area in the side court. They offer a great selection of beers. I tried the Munich Dunkel that was served up in a tall glass mug. The facility is handicap accessible with three parking spaces close to the side entrance. Easy access from Interstate 80. They are dog friendly here.
I had beers at Crooked Lane because this was the meet point for the rafting company I paddled the American river with. Afterwards when were dropped off I decided to take advantage of the discount they gave to people who went on the rafting trips and I was happy I did. Excellent beer and a great patio to enjoy it.
Looking for an upscale yet down-to-earth and classy brew pub? Then this is your place. Perfect for enjoying your favorite craft brew or discovering new taste sensations with a friend, significant other or a group. If you want to chill and play board games, watch some sports or engage in conversation, the atmosphere in this unique environment is conducive for a wide range of customers. Lots of parking and a solid mix of customers who want to enjoy quality adult beverages! 🍻
Very pleased with this brewery. Nice selection of beers. Staff was very friendly, especially Emily. I will definitely be back.
One of my favorite breweries! One thing I really appreciate is that although they can make a good IPA they seem to focus on a lot of other varieties that aren't as common around here. UPDATE: I'm a brewer at a competing local brewery now and much more experienced with tasting beer. I still love them
Great local craft beer. Very friendly staff with great service. Also has a dog friendly beer garden and patio area. No onsite food, however there are local pizza restaurants that will deliver, and they have food truck service on certain days and times. My wife and I along with our dog had a great time. Very clean all around.
I would like to give a shout out to the best craft brewery in Auburn. My wife and I love their selection of beers. Even though we have settled in to our favorites, we also enjoy trying the new beers they are constantly rotating through. We can't wait for their seasonal beers to come around, and are disappointed to see them go. But, they are more than just a brewery. They host some of the most tasty food trucks in the region. On Wednesday nights, they host a trivia night, Thursday in the winter, they host a comedy night, with some of the funniest local and out-of town talent out there. They also host some great musical acts, from solo acts to multi piece bands. Their Octoberfest celebration is wonderful with a polka band and the staff dressed in their finest Dirndls and Lederhosen. Are you ready for more? there's more! Their staff are some of the friendliest and attentive in the foothills. They are knowledgeable about their beers, and always ready with a re-fill. There is also and sense of community there, as you would expect in a small town that extends to their out-of-town guest. Watching them navigate through the ever changing & challenging environment of the pandemic has been inspiring. It's difficult enough creating a successful business, let alone running one now! My hat is off to them!
Friendliest owners, great beers with the potential to grow a lot more. I love their double ipa, the SR15. The location is great, very central and the building is beautiful. I love the way they have remodeled it. The atmosphere here is cozy. Love it.
First had the crooked lane beer at Top Golf in Roseville. The 1-2 punch is awesome and made me try more and visit the brewery in Auburn. I’ve picked up beer but decided to visit and have some tasting yesterday. Tried couple beers and all were great. The seasonal mandarin hazy was delicious and even the kiwi hazy was great. Best part you can take the favorites to go with the 4-packs. Local supermarkets are also starting the carry the 4packs but little pricey.
Great spot for some outdoor hangouts! Huge beer garden and patio, with a window so you don’t have to inside for your brew needs! Their German styles are phenomenal. The kölsch is always flowing, and I highly recommend it. As much as I love IPAs, sometimes you need a break from the hop craze.
Great beers and great atmosphere, I do wish the food wasn't so expensive but they don't care if you bring your own so I'll call it fair play. Definitely recommend!
Super dog friendly which was our only requirement! The Mediterranean pizza and chicken Ceasar Salad were delicious so that was a plus!! The staff accommodated our pup with an adorable appetizer plate. Water bowls were plenty 🐾🦴
I remember when this building was an auto dealership. They have done a great job of turning it into a fine brewery. When we arrived on a Thursday afternoon they were not very busy but by the time we left at about 4:45 they were getting busy. I enjoyed the Dark Bent, and my daughters liked some of the hard seltzer, which they had in a variety of flavors. We also enjoyed Mederiterian Pesto pizza and a large pretzel.
OMG, this place was BEAUTIFUL! The service was great and I can't wait to go back. 🍻 I tried the Mai Tai and the 🍓 lemonade 🍋 slushie but I loved the ginger, 🍋🟩 and tangerine 🍊 seltzer.🥛 It's definitely family and pet friendly.
I mean, the beer is very, very good. It really is. But I spent an hour and a half longer at this fine beer making establishment because Monty the bartender was just a freaking rad dude and had that California + life + Crooked Lane Beer pride radiate. Beer: 10/10 - lots of variety and everything I tried was good. Service: 10/10 - conversational, kind, and genuine. If it’s Tuesday and Maria’s food truck is there, that is a MUST and get the carnitas tacos because it’s TACO TUESDAY!
Huge, spacious, modern. Delicious beer, friendly staff, plenty of free parking ~ and dog friendly! What more could you ask for
Who doesn't like a brewery who constantly gives back to its community. I don't think they ever say no to a charity, nonprofit or anyone who may need to raise funds in Auburn. Oh and I love their new Rice beer called "Rising Sun"
Good beer and friendly folks! We've been twice and always find something we enjoy. Swamp Angel's a favorite--crazy name, delicious beer! The building is large and can accommodate big groups. Outdoor seating in the summer. Rotating food trucks. Crowlers available to take some home with you! Check it out!
Rivvrs, played while children enjoyed being themselves
Always a great place to stop and get a beer!! When in Auburn!!
Great local brewery with tons of options and friendly staff. They have both indoor and outdoor seating so you can typically find somewhere to sit, though it can get cramped and crowded inside at times. They don't serve food, but they seem to have food trucks there pretty often. The staff is also very friendly and will help you navigate their big selection of beers on tap! If you're an IPA fan you should definitely try one of their NE style IPAs.
Wow. You don't often find a place making over half a dozen German styles of beer. Ended up splitting 3 flights so we could try almost the whole menu. Really appreciated that they had more variety than like 14 different IPA variations like you'll see some places. Huge patio and large indoor space too. Would come drink here again.
Crooked Lane Brewery in Auburn, CA is the real deal! If you're looking for a place to tap into a great time, then look no further. With a fantastic selection of events and a schedule that's always packed, you're guaranteed to have a hoppy good time. The beer is top notch and the atmosphere is unbeatable. Just make sure to bring your sense of humor because the vibe here is always light and frothy. Cheers to Crooked Lane for brewing up a great time!
Great beers, live music, amazing company! Really nice place with lots of seating. We took the end of a 10 person table with 5 at the far end and had some nice conversation with the folks already there. Friendly open environment gives the feel that sharing a large table with a little separation is totally the norm. The singer of the 2 "man" band was singing classics all night and she even threw in a couple really cool original songs. Its was a fun time out being treated by the wife on my birthday "weekend" :) In and Out burgers topped the night off after brewery hopping through Auburn. VERY dog friendly location had us missing our pup but we got to say hi to some super cute and very sweet dogs which just made it that much better! We will DEFINITELY be back soon. Thanks Crooked Lane!!
I have heard about this seasonal Mandarin Pale Ale made with local mandarins from Penryn, so I was so glad I finally stopped in to the Brewery and tried it. The ale was light and refreshing, with the perfect amount of subtle mandarin flavor! I highly recommend trying one for yourself while you can.
Crooked Lane is awesome. They have amazing beers and always have a large selection. The building is cool, large open space with 2 outdoor areas. Dogs allowed on leash in outside areas. Most evenings they have a food truck on site, check their calendar on the website to food trucks and music schedule.

Great beer....super nice atmosphere whether you sit inside or out. Cool, knowledgeable staff that can make great suggestions based on what you like. Love this place!
This place is awesome! The staff is amazing, and the selection of beer is great! Also, the Caesar salad is delicious!
Great live music venue with amazing Mac and cheese, a friendly staff and good beer. The manager let me leave my RV in the lot overnight and Uber home for safety. Coming back to pick it up I'm reminded of how even though I didn't know anyone when I walked in last night I left feeling like no one there was a stranger. A good feeling. I'm off to see Dead and Company's 60th anniversary shows in Golden Gate Park. This place was a solid opener for the weekend.

A great brewery, arguably best in Auburn. Prices are a bit high, but not bad or beyond the standard.
I enjoyed the atmosphere and space. Good service and food provisions with food trucks. The place is big and a lot of people come here. The beer was decent but I believe it's the venue that brings people in.
I feel this place is going downhill just like all the other breweries in the Sacramento area. It's not their fault cost of brewing beer I am sure have sky rocketed and because we are in a recession or maybe a depression no one has money. Thanks Joe
Our first stop of the day. A good mix of beers meeting all of our groups tastes. The food truck made for an interesting and enjoyable mid afternoon pop in.
I am empressed with this place. After living in Auburn for awhile and driving by for a year we finally stopped in. They are definitely the underdog in town but the beer did not disappoint. The had a solid mix of west coast IPAs, NE IPAs, old world beers, stouts and some of the newer styles like fruited NE IPAs and brut IPAs. The beer we had was great and we will be back. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because I still moonraker is the best beer in town, but at this point for beer quilty and over all vibe, they are a better place to to be then Knee Deep.
Pretty good beer selection. Nice building. Inside and outside seating. Food truck. You're basic average microbrewery. B+/A-
Had not been in for 3+ yrs......beer is OK Venue has greatly improved. Band was good too. Young lady behind the counter needs to work on her "knowledge" of the beers offered.
The 1-2 Punch was a decent ipa, and we liked the golden ale. Their kolsh gets the most compliments, but that's not my style. Great venue. It was too cold and windy for us to sit outside, but the patio looks pretty cool and the taproom is very roomy.
Beer was good, particularly hypercolour, although not the best I’ve had in Sacramento or the metro regions. Customer service was also a little lackluster. I asked for recommendations because I’m usually not a beer drinker and the beer tender seemed impatient about providing suggestions.
I like the seating, there's a good variety of beers to choose from, the food is great and convenient when they don't have a food truck on site (though a little pricey), and the staff is really nice and easy to talk to. It's really cool that the towel dispensers in the men's bathroom are clap and voice activated. I've never seen that before but I tried it and they actually work!
When I travel I like to visit new breweries. I work in aviation so visiting different breweries throughout the world is a hobby. I frequently drive highway 80 from the Bay Area to Truckee so I frequently stop off for a flight or a pint. Today, I decided to stop off at Crooked Lane Brewery. I ordered a flight so I sampled a variation of beers. They had a well rounded selection. I purchased a four pack of hammock time and a four pack of seltzer. The Brewery has a comfortable vibe in the beautiful foothills. I visited the brewery early so it wasn’t busy. The only complaint I have is the bartender wasn’t warm and welcoming. She seemed as if she wasn’t happy or really didn’t like what she did as a job. Overall beer was good but the bartender seemed bitter. I will return.

Great beer. Super mid Pizza and Caesar Salad.
Great spot for catching a game with a solid atmosphere, but the food needs work. The pizza was disappointing - mostly crust and came out burnt around the edges. Ordered it with hot honey which didn’t add much, and when I asked for ranch, I got what tasted like some kind of dill sauce instead. If you’re coming here to drink and watch sports, you’ll have a good time. Just maybe eat beforehand or stick to simpler bar snacks. The vibe and TV setup make it worth visiting, but hopefully they can improve the kitchen.

I Usually love crooked lane, they have great beer and a nice atmosphere. I understand everything is harder with COVID-19 going on but when there is no regulation of shared seating (i.e. people sitting at the other end of our table because there was some free space and we were in the shade compared to the other 3 empty picnic tables). When we mentioned social distancing to the intruders we were ignored, crowded out and made so uncomfortable we decided to leave. There are also no markings for social distancing on the outside line. Lots of people walking around and ordering without masks. There were no employees outside enforcing any kind of rules besides that you need to order food before you order beer. (They verify you’ve done this by a sharpie mark the food truck puts on your hand, anyone could easily do themselves) no employees picking up empty glasses outside, it was a mess. If they’re understaffed, that’s one thing but the owners need to make sure that doesn’t happen. Not pleased, I hope things get better or we won’t be back during the pandemic.
Make no mistake the beer was delicious, fresh and extremely tasty. It was the customer service that was less than and desirable. This was my first time there with hubby and friends ... I asked for a particular shirt in my size. The clerk tells me "we don't have your size" and proceeds to walk away. My next question would have been then "what sizes do you have?" Just because I was unable to get my size doesn't mean I couldn't gift my daughter with a shirt. Lost a sale there I'm sure as several shirts were on display. Next, I was unaware that the 4 packs of beer on the counter are for display only. I was rudely told so when I put a 4 pack of Octoberfest on the counter next to the popcorn that I was purchasing. She rang me up and after collecting funds, she turned around and walked off. I then said "can I have a bag?" To which, she turned around and said "we don't have any bags" Well, ok then. No name tag present. I would have loved to of drop her name right here!
We drove from far away to refill a keg and they told us they can’t help us because they were having comedy night. That makes no sense we just wanted a quick few minute transaction and be out of there with our beer. This is especially disappointing because we are regulars
Very disappointed in our visit today. 2nd time visiting and the customer service today was horrible. 4 workers standing around tasting for themselves and never acknowledged the four of us they were sitting at the bar. Will think twice before coming back or recommending.
I been passing through and unlike breweries in all areas this one has a different way of service at the bar. The gal with the colors in hair and loops in in her face doesn't know how to pour multiple beers or cares if you wait 10 minutes while she pours beer for the people next to you with out even acknowledging your sitting there waiting for a beer. The manager I found out was actually sitting down the bar saw the whole thing as I was frustrated and had to go elsewhere for service. Don't go on Wednesday the manager with red beard does not work or care if you don't get service and said bye when I had to leave with no beer asking for service. Wow
Was cut off after one beer. Because the owner said he didn’t like the way I did the puzzle at the end of obstacle course. I was also cheering people on, but cannot fathom cutting someone off for being involved in the celebration they curated. It felt like the new owner just didn’t like my personality since I can be loud, but after only one beer it wasn’t because I was intoxicated. Not a good way to run a business. Will not be returning.
