Wise Villa Winery and Restaurant

One of the best local wineries with breathtaking views, delicious food, great wine selection and attentive staff. Outdoor seating has the best rolling hills and sunset views. Perfect place for a date night or a night out with friends!

This was a destination. We planned on wine tasting and lunch. It was a beautiful setting. Wine was nice and I loved the owl vibe. Waitress was attentive. Food was tasty. Loved the chowder. Loved not too crowded, being the holidays.

What an incredibly beautiful winery. The grounds are spectacular, the staff is kind and attentive, and the wine is impressive. We made an afternoon our our visit enjoying tastings, their charcuterie board, and took a glass of wine to wander around the vineyard. We left with a few bottles and will definitely be returning again soon!

Wine blending event was so much fun. Was able to blend my perfect wine from Cab, Merlot and Cab Franc and name my own blend “Realtor Red” 1/13/24 another amazing dinner at Wise Villa

Enjoyed the wine tasting, and was even more impressed with the gourmet restaurant meal of Atlantic Salmon and Roasted Duck Breast were spectacular. Definitely a day we will remember to put on our calender to return here again.

It amazing place with beautiful nature around winery. Best service, good food and wine tasting. Thank for great evening with my close people. I high recommend that place for others.

The food was exquisite and the atmosphere was subtle if you want a romantic private dinner. The staff is super friendly and I would go back again. Only thing is this is a high end restaurant so don't think you can walk out with a meal for two under 100 dollars. But what they do there it is 100% worth it.

We had a great time, the food, wine and service were fantastic. The views around the property were incredible; especially sunset. A testament to their great service was that the power went out in the area before we showed up; however, the Wise Villa Winery team seated everyone in a timely manner, kept the food coming as soon as they could and the staff were pleasant the entire time. Next time I’m in Lincoln, I’m sure I’ll be back!

Both the food and the service were outstanding, as usual. The special was pan seared scallops served on a creamy fennel puree, and adorned with sweet Brussel sprout crisps. It was drizzled with a pomegranate sauce. One of the better dishes I've ever experienced. Chris, our waiter, was excellent. A great way to celebrate our anniversary.

My wife and I had dinner here last night. The food was excellent and so was everything else. What a great spot to have dinner!

I’ve been two dozens and dozens of wineries. Today we came just to try a flight... but ended up stayed for an amazing meal, flights, and tapped into a couple of bottles. We even joined the club. It’s that good. Also... try the cider. This will become our new favorite place on the wine trail. Can’t wait to be back.

Chris is the greatest waiter and extremely knowledgeable. I have been enjoying my visit to Wise Villa Winery for years now. Chris is my number waiter. The rest of the staff is friendly and professional. The view and atmosphere I never would get tired of. This winery is my number place to relax and enjoy great food.

Had a great time taking the tour and wine tasting with Dr. Lee. Very informative. Had lunch at the restaurant after, where we joined the wine club. Wally, our waiter, was my favorite part! He was so happy and enthusiastic. It was contagious! Beautiful setting. Can't wait to go back!

This place was absolutely wonderful! We were seated outdoors in a covered patio with a nice view of the vineyard. We started with the five wine flight and a fruit/cheese/meat plate. I also ordered a glass of hard apple cider that was aged in old whisky barrels. I cannot recommend this enough! My wife had tenderloin over mashed potatoes and I had the beef and lamb ragu. We ended this very casual meal with dark chocolate truffles and a sangria with raspberry sorbet float. Can't wait to go back!

Wise villa is my favorite placer county restaurant. I might go to their paint night on Feb 11 th . I’ve been there twice . Flemmings is also very good . Go early and walk around the vineyards.

We've been to Wise Villa for dinner on two separate occasions before and absolutely loved it. The food was amazing, the wine is incredible and all the staff is so kind and thoughtful. The last time we came in for dinner we decided to sign up for the winery tour. We had a great vist today, met some wonderful people and learned so much about the winery and wine making. Dr. Lee has a wealth of knowledge. We highly recommend attending one of his tours. You won't be disappointed. We love this winery so much that we joined their wine club. We look forward to our next visit and hopefully we'll be back with some of our friends and family. Don't miss out on this gem.

I’ve been a member for 3 years and love each and every visit to Wise Villa. The wine is wonderful and restaurant is consistently delicious. The staff are always warm and accommodating!

Loved the beet/goat cheese salad with hot honey dressing. Chicken cacciatore was amazing. All paired great with the Cab Franc!

Wine in California is a highly competitive business. Wise Villa does a fantastic job of standing out and rising to the top. 30 varietals grown organically, including their own brandy. Great food and deserts, and an inviting atmosphere. No matter your taste in wine, I am confident you will find a wine you will enjoy.

We stopped by for lunch on New Year’s Eve, and even though the place was busy, the hostess greeted us warmly. There were a couple of seats available at the bar—which happens to be our favorite spot—so we grabbed those. Brandy was our server, and she was fantastic—friendly, outgoing, and totally on point. We really enjoyed her energy and service. What really surprised me was how good the food was. At many wineries, food can feel like an afterthought, but not here. You can actually sit down and enjoy a great meal along with your wine. Speaking of wine: my wife enjoys rosé, while I’m more of a red wine person. Fortunately, Wise Villa Winery had plenty of great options for both of us. The wine was solid and enjoyable all around. Overall, I think they’re doing a great job, and I have no reservations (pun intended) about recommending Wise Villa Winery.

My husband and I celebrated our 19th anniversary with lunch today at Wise Villa Winery and Restaurant. Had a lovely lunch: A+ for the Pork Ragu with Pappredelle, good choice on a cold rainy day; great service; excellent wine; shared a piece of delicious cheesecake with blackberries, and my favorite table by the fireplace. Beautiful winery. Only issue is if u bring fruits to sample with your wine they don’t allow any food from outside.

On this day it was my mother's, my grandma's, and my aunts birthday so we went to this winery. After arriving late we sat down and tried their appetizers. So far the steak bites and the Margherita pizza were delicious. I enjoyed the taste but the steak can be better. Overall it is preferences and I have my own. For the main course we had the house ragu, cacciatore (I think) pasta, filet mignon, Atlantic salmon, and the winery burger. They were all delicious. What I didn't like much was the house ragu. Knowing that I'm still a bit underage I will update later in the future for the wine. Overall when it comes to the food it is a satisfying experience and I would come here again and hopefully for the wine.

Very popular spot with beautiful views and nice building. Wines are all very young and sweet tasting, and just changed the menu so lunch is no longer an option just tasting plates which were a challenge trying to eat rice without any serving utensils... Beautiful patio not dog friendly which is also a waste. Friendly staff, but food and wine holding back the experience.

Food & wine was excellent. Vineyards are beautiful. Tour does not include wine tasting. Wine tasting is $15 per person + tour fee. There is a long lecture for the tour. If you have trouble standing on concrete for longer than 45 mins, do not book the tour. The lecture could not be heard due to the loud machinery & workers pushing carts between the audience. The lecture continued through the food being served, it would have been nice to politely leave us alone to eat. Overall, I would have booked a lunch or dinner reservation instead, regret booking the tour.

The place is beautiful, the staff was friendly and attentive. The chicken sandwich couldn’t have been more bland and disappointing.

My husband and I ended up here 3 times in a month for different events. At the first event, my lunch was fine. I had the burger and it wasn't terrible, but definitely nothing special. Our second visit, we didn't eat, just did wine tastings and the young man behind the bar was very pleasant. We enjoyed our wine flights and found a few bottles we enjoyed enough to purchase. Our third visit was to celebrate a friend's birthday and the instant our server came to "greet" us we all exchanged glances. He was awful from beginning to end. Dismissive, inattentive, and with a blatantly condescending tone. I detest when a server starts walking away before you've finished your sentence or without acknowledging what has been said. To top it off we had made it clear we were celebrating a birthday, but the server never acknowledged that either. Our food was ok. Everything was edible but again, nothing special. Wine is good.

I will say the area was beautiful, food was pretty good. However, the service was beyond disappointing. Awful in fact. We made a reservation, it was not very busy, we were seated quickly but it took over 20 minutes for a waiter to come to us. We ordered some tasters and it took another 15 minutes to get the tastes of wine and they were the wrong ones. I went and asked if we would get the right tastes and the manager was very rude. We then ordered all our food and two full glasses and they only brought one. Another 15 minutes went by and we asked for the 2nd drink we ordered and the waiter said “ya sure”. Then the customers next to us made it very known as they were checking out how they felt “some people just don’t understand customer service”, while our waiter sat and agreed that, “some people are just impatient”. I am usually very understanding as I have worked and do work in customer service and understand but there is also a certain level of respect and standard. Especially, when you are spending $$$$$. Anyways, 3 starts for food and atmosphere. I’d give 1 for service, kindness and moneys worth. Very disappointed as we were told this was a great place to go have a nice time out.

The wine part is good. They seem to have won many awards and offer wines made from varietals you don't often see. The grounds could be nicer set up, the property is in a nice location on a hill--but the way its setup doesn't look that attractive. The restaurant needs help. When we arrived we were told they were short staffed and should be patient. No problem, we had plenty of time. We began with a nice brussels sprouts appetizer, very tasty. Next came soup and salad, except before they were even done serving those items they tried to serve us our entrees--so we sent those back. Their special potato soup was just OK. After finishing our soup and salad, entrees appeared again. The special ravioli never should have left the kitchen. The pasta was very undercooked, and the sauce not good at all. The vegetables under the salmon were not warm enough. Though the salmon itself was good and the skin crispy. Risotto and duck were good. Then the same person who told us to be patient because of the staffing issue told us they were closing and we were now on a time limit--very poor customer service with that remark. We did manage to get in desert, the cheesecake and chocolate cake were both good, but not great.

Tried to eat here after making a reservation for lunch specifically to eat inside and was first told only outside is available and was also told there will be a 5-10 minute delay as they were understaffed. They had plenty of seating inside but were holding the tables for larger parties. There were multiple smaller parties in our same situation. After 30 minutes of waiting those tables still remained empty. Very disappointed by their service and mismanagement. Our party was easily accommodated elsewhere.

Worst winery experience I’ve ever had. And I’ve been to wineries in Idaho and have been wi e tasting all over CA for almost 25 years. We had made reservations (2 of us separately to accommodate our party of 5). For a wine tour. When we arrived we were advised no wine tour. Owner not available. Also. You can wine taste (but we are going to charge you $20). I don’t think everthing should have been comped. But maybe since we organized, planned and arrived on time, our tasting g should have been comped. Also? You want lunch here. No problem. We were offered an outside table if we wanted to wait a few minutes. We said sure. We could wait 15 minutes. NP. 30 minutes later, we needed to locate a manager because it didn’t seem like anybody cared about us. We should have left. We ordered another bottle of wine. And waited another 40 minutes for our food. I ordered salad and fries. My order was incorrect and came 10 minutes after my entire table was served. Food okay. And then the manager came by with coupons for a free tour and tasting. At this time I pulled out my coupon for free tasting and tour and advised hey? I already had this coupon. And see what happened. Well please come back and we will make this right. Really? You couldn’t make my visit right. Why would i come back? I dont think I’m the customer Wise Villa Winery is looking for. No problem. I can take my wine business elsewhere. There are so many other wineries. Why cry about this one? I would have given zero stars, but had to give one for my review to be read.

Ugh! How do these people stay in business? Rude and pretentious workers, excessive price points (if you MUST have this wine, go to Costco and get the same stuff for less than $20/bottle). Wine is over-reaching, barely drinkable. Oh, and don't join the wine club whatever you do! Can't tell you how many people I know who've been forced into buying 9 or more bottles of this wine before this company stopped charging their cards! Seriously, this is embezzlement! No mutual benefit received by the hostages!
