Taqueria El Burrito

Had a bummer experience here today. Drive thru didn't give me eating utensils or napkins. Burrito was meh, no salt or seasoning, then had the sh!ts all day. Not much fun since we are evacuated from the fire and staying at a place that doesn't have facilities. Even the jamaica tea was bad, I poured it out I couldn't drink it and I love Jamaica! Just an off day. Get better soon! Love this fantastic Mexican food place in Auburn! So glad they have opened! Went through the drive thru for a bean and cheese burrito. It came with chips and salsa. It was delicious! Can't wait to bring the family here for another nice meal. Fast, friendly service. Really nice looking place. So happy to have another yummy place to enjoy my favorite food.

Amazing! We’ve driven by many times and am glad we finally stopped. Huge menu, friendly staff, quick service and delicious food. My breakfast burrito was a little messy because it was so wet but it tasted great.

So glad we tried it! Wonderful flavors and variety- and right next to the Tesla Supercharger. Let me get the small things out of the way first: clean restrooms, Coke Zero, giant bottles of beer if you're not driving, lots of comfy seating, easy off-on I80 eastbound. Now the big deals: huge menu, beef options rarely seen like Barbacoa Beef and Chile Colorado, self-serve salsa bar with chips, 5 vegetable mixes including nopalito strips, 5 distinct and awesome salsas including Guacamolito and, never seen before, Crema Jalapeño. If what you ordered comes out looking rather plain, that's just because you can fix it up to meet your wildest dreams. Don't miss it!

What I really want to say is that all the staff here were working really hard, yet they were still super nice and had smiles on their faces. I hope a manager reads this: you have a great crew! Food is on point, and they have an awesome salsa bar with free chips, 5 types of salsa, and Nopales!

Best Tesla charging lunch I've had. Great food, huge portions and very friendly service. Manager walked around checking in everyone and saying hello. Good food, very tasty, plus extensive self serve chips and salsa bar with cream and guacamole salsa.

Came here for dinner during our trip to Tahoe and I was not disappointed.. They have birria (which is my favorite dish!) but as always, my eyes were bigger than my tummy so I ended up ordering 2-taco plates. One taco is birria and the other taco is lengua. Their rice and beans are nice, I wish it could be a bit spicy (beans) but it's still flavorful and cheesy! the tacos were a bit soggy but I still enjoyed it. I wished I ordered quesabirria instead but I suppose I will wait until next time. The horchata was very sweet but refreshing, and you could refill it with only $1! I ended up refilling it with some pina but it ended up being too sweet as well.. Their chips station was filled with many varieties of salsa and I could never be happier... The salsa station was clean and refreshing. Their salsa itself was very nice and I enjoyed the flavor so much! I will definitely come back someday.

I genuinely love this place. I'm there every week. Chicken burrito. Their version of Mexican food is healthier than other versions. I don't feel like I'm shortening my lifespan by eating it. Salsa bar is on point. It's always clean and the staff is friendly. Well priced food too. 🙂

I got two crispy chicken tacos and they were the best tacos I have had in a long time. I ordered them through DoorDash and they came with a ton of pico de gallo and salsa and then salsa on the side. They even put a bag of chips in there for me! This food was delicious. I will definitely be back!

El Burrito has become one of my family's go-to spots for takeaway. I've only scratched the surface of what their menu has to offer, but everything I've tried so far has been delicious! Burritos, tacos, salads, combo plates... it's all so good! And the staff are very friendly, too. If you're dining in, they will bring your food to you. Restaurant is spacious, relaxed, and always clean. Plenty of parking.. Ideally located off the interstate, so this makes for a convenient stop on the way home for dinner. Excited to explore more of the menu!

Absolutely amazing!!! Best tacos EVER! We had the Al pastor and the chorizo. Completely out of this world and will be back if we are ever in this town again!

Do you like ice cold margaritas? Does a flavorful, cooked to order taco salad sound yummy? Do you like a fresh salsa bar with warm tortilla chips? Me too! Taqueria El burrito has all of those and more. The fish taco salad was the best vs the carne asada taco salad. Also, ask for an additional shot in your margarita. It's on the weak side without the extra kick. This isn't a great date spot, but it is a fabulous taco Tuesday date idea. IG: SACRAMENTOHONEY

I just ordered a regular carne asada burrito, simple basic order that was packed full of flavor. Very good burrito, the salsa i got was the hot, so much flavor, you know its good when you're sweating, mouth burning but you can't stop eating it. Very good

The food is delicious, but if you don't eat pork for religious/personal reasons, don't get the tamales. When I order chicken tamales, there's about a 50/50 shot that I get pork tamales instead. The pork tamales are also really good, but I can see this being an issue for some.

Inconsistent I haven't been back in over a year due to getting half cooked shrimp in my order and the taste started going down hill. To each their own. My favorite tacos and burritos are from the Mexican market. Taco salad from portal and my 2nd favorite for tacos and burritos is right across the way. El burrito just had the best location in my eyes.

I have tried this place a few times. Overall the food is decent and seems authentic. Yesterday I decided to see if they had traditional street tacos which they said they did. I asked if the street tacos come with lime wedges as is customary. They assured me their street tacos do come with lime wedges. I finalized my order and completed my drive through transaction. A bit down the road I decided to open the street tacos and try them out. There were no lime wedges to squeeze lime juice over the tacos as promised. $3 each street tacos with no lime wedges. The receipt also had no prices at all or total on it.

Tortilla chips were good and complimentary, with a complete salsa bar. The decor is pretty basic, essentially a fast food restaurant. Service was fast and friendly.

Even the cilantro and onions felt a little light. • Bacon breakfast burrito – Yummy! It came packed with rice, beans, eggs, and bacon. • Coctel de Camarones (shrimp cocktail) – A nice option for something refreshing. • Flan – Tasty and held up well as a road trip snack. • Cookie from the counter – Skip it. It looked good but didn’t deliver on flavor. Brownies might be the better choice next time. Customer service was friendly and quick, which we really appreciated. There’s also a nice outdoor seating area if you want to enjoy your meal outside. Overall, this place wasn’t bad, just didn’t quite wow us. It had NO sugar or cinnamon on it. None whatsoever. I give up!

This is the forth time I guess going through the drive through. Mainly for fish tacos. Last Thursday I did ordered three fish tacos so I did ate all of it… Unfortunately I woke up at 1am feeling nauseated & threw up three times. The next day I continued to do the same thing & having diarrhea. I guess it could be fish or salad on the tacos…

The staff used to appreciate it when i woukd soeak to them in spanish... Now they look at me like im an alien. The burrito i ordered was "meh" even the free chips and dip didnt improve the experience.

QUALITY ALREADY GOING DOWNHILL , The first week they opened I had the best bean and cheese Burrito I’ve ever had in my life I was telling my husband how fresh the tortilla was it was absolutely delicious the cheese was melted inside. I’ve been back four times now and the burrito has gotten worse and worse and Worse. Today I asked for extra hot and grilled on the outside just to get the cheese to melt , by the time I open up my burrito it’s almost like they downgraded the cheese already and none of it’s even melted at all ,so I pop it in the microwave and there’s still cheese that hasn’t melted in it after 2mins.😳 I’m very disappointed already. I feel like you’ve already ordered cheaper cheese or you don’t have anybody on quality control.If you can’t do a good bean and cheese burrito what’s the point of having a Mexican restaurant. And to charge almost 7$ for a bean and cheese burrito and it’s not to perfection is also very disappointing. Losing me as your customer already . Bummer
