I ordered lechon for our 50th grand reunion and wow, the lechon is crispy, yummy, yummy, not salty. Everyone enjoyed this tasty lechon. Mike is the person you have to look for, he will give you a good deal. It's large, delivered to the park. Will definitely recommend to everyone. Thank you Porky's Lechon.
The lechon is very flavorful and I like the crunchiness of the kitchen. The sauce is good too,.Their kare-kare is my new fav and also their pork sinigang is masarap! 🤎 I wanna try their dinuguan ned time
We have visited San Diego each of the past four Christmases. We discovered National City and tried many Filipino restaurants. But when we found Porky's Lechon we felt we found the best food ever! EVER! Mike and Karen give their very best and it shows. On a week long trip we visit 3 times. We even take some back to our hotel refrigerator to enjoy later - hit or cold. Now let's talk Crispy Pork Lechon made here! It is definitely the best ever had. It's tasty, cooked to perfection, and the crispy tasty skin is what makes it outstanding. The Lumpia Shanghai and adobo goes great with it - but savor the Pork Lechon here. A true treat to behold. And Mike serves up the whole crispy cooked pig for a great party. If you go - please let them know how much you enjoyed what they prepared. They really deserve high praise. And tell all your friends and family and co-workers. It's not easy to make a living but this place really provides a great service and product. Be patient also - this is all run by family and not a streamlined corporate place. It's just damn great food. BRAVO! We will be back this Christmas. Hope to see you there. Richard and John
We ordered last Monday and picked up yesterday! The food is great and service is phenomenal! If you are looking for great tasty lechon belly, Porky’s Lechon is the best!
There was a bit of a mix up with my order and it was corrected quickly and easily. Wonderful service. Amazing food.
I ordered this lechon from them because It is my grandmas birthday. And I super recommend this Porky's Lechon because of the services it provides and not just that. But the lechon itself is super yummy . The skin of the lechon is so so crispy and the meat on the inside is so juicy. The other filipino cuisine that surrounds the lechon is so delicious it satisfy my taste buds. Definitely I will order again 😊
Lechon belly, a Filipino delicacy featuring roasted pork belly with crispy skin and tender meat, is a must-try dish. In San Diego, several establishments are renowned for their lechon belly and authentic Filipino cuisine, but Porky's the best. Must try.
Great food, good price and the portion of their to go plates are excellent compared to the other restaurant.
For my third times ordering a lechon here in USA this is my first time that I can say “the best lechon” taste like Cebu lechon very juicy too . Affordable price . I ordered last week and all the visitors asking where I got the lechon. Next time again !
Porky's Lechon is a haven for those seeking an authentic food experience . Lechon ,a whole roasted pig is undisputed star of the resto. The presentation is a masterpiece with pig glistening under accompanied by an array of side dishes. If you're looking for a truly special meal Porky's Lechon roasted pig is a must try.
Amazing!! Came in tonight around 7 pm. They were already closed but the door was open. The man was so nice to put his apron back on and cut up 2lbs of lechon for my mom that came down from Ventura! The food is so delicious. The lechon was so juicy and flavorful and the skin is crispy. The customer service is great. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for the kindness.
This review is for the lechon. I ordered a small size for my husband’s military retirement and had it requested to be delivered at 11:15am. I kept in touch with the manager to make sure it was delivered on time because the event was time-sensitive. Delivery guy arrived 20mins prior, good job! I was so busy with the event I forgot to take a picture, lol. Everyone commented how the lechon was flavorful; meat was tender and the skin was perfectly crispy. This is my first time to try Porky’s and although I’m not fond of lechon, this truly was the best one I’ve had. I was impressed by how it was well seasoned and cooked properly. Thank you!!!
Wow! Impressive Filipino lechon from this place. Crispy on the outside and juicy meat in the inside. The service was also top notch. The uncles (Titos) who roasted the pork even personally delivered the lechon to my car. Salamat po! Will definitely come back again. Very good! Left overs were made into Korean gamjatang and crispy lechon tacos. They accept cash and card. Price was $300 for the whole pig.
Porky’s catered our meet and greet event at Glorietta bay with super crispy skin Lechon with tender meat, pancit, menudo, chop suey, and lumpia. Made out tummies full and happy!
This was the best lechon I have ever had! The crispy skin and juicy tender meat has me still dreaming about it. Other favorites were the Milk Fish, spare ribs and Bisteak. I can’t wait to go back! First time doing Boodle Feast and it exceeded my expectations.
I really love to order here in Porky's Lechon , the best for this holiday season. The crispiness of the kechon lasts long and it is so juicy. The other menu ,taste so good and it feels like I'm in my hometown Philippines💙💙💙💙😋😋😋
Ordered ‘Monster’, BoodleChon! Lechon was crispy, cooked to perfection. Calamari was delicious. Thank you, Porky’s Lechon Team! I Look forward to ordering again!
Ordered whole lechon and well recommended . Very delicious and good flavor all the way to the meat . Love the lechon sauce! Very crispy skin all day till early morning . Lumpia Shanghai meaty and not hollow inside. Pancit was delicious!
When we think about celebrations, Porky’s Lechon is always our first option. Hospitable hosts, delicious foods and beautiful presentation as always and I might say they have the best Lechon ever! I highly recommend it to everyone!👍👍👍
Enjoying the vibe and delicious lechon here at San Diego 💙💙😉The crispiness of the skin and juicylicious meat of the lechon melts my mouth... It usually surrounded by other filipino cuisine that captivates you. Surely I will try again soon 😋😋😋😋
The Best Porky's Lechon I've tested. Very recommendable. I'm very satisfied with my order.
This is a great place to taste authentic Filipino Lechon. The servings are huge! The delicious mouth-watering flavor will make you want to come back for more. Don't go anyplace else! Thank you to owners Mike and Karen!

So far the best lechon we have tried. It was crispy and very tasty. Highly recommended.
By far, best lechon, pansit and all else filipino food has to offer! The bangus was bangin! I ordered the "medium boodle" which had a little of everything and was so good! So worth it! The staff were very helpful and made it easy to preorder! Will definitely come back again for another "boodle" for our next special family events!

casual lechon place. the skin is so crispy and their sauce is perfect.

So this place is pretty small and probably best for take out, but my family and I decided to make reservations for a boodle fight/kamayan dinner for my aunts 51st birthday. We got there and it was all set up for us. Everything was delicious! The Lechon is definitely the best thing there. I can eat that crispy skin every day! Lol. There was so much food, We had so much left overs. I wish they would have been a bit more attentive but I know they aren't really servers so that's ok. The price was really great for what we got.
This tint National City gem offers great old-fashioned food. The service was really good party of the show is watching the owners interact with each other. Additionally, due to the high volume, I would suggest you order your needs and wants online so the stor does not run out of your needs and wants.

I really wanted to like Porky's as the photos on social media made the food look delicious. Came here for Kamayan to celebrate my friends birthday. It is a point point restaurant and not as big. We were a party of 29. It was so tight and I felt bad for the walk in customer's and the ones sitting closer to the point point food. The Kamayan Food was such a beautiful site. It included rice, pancit bihon, lechon, ribs, bbq chicken, lumpia etc. along with a few different seafood; mussels, crab legs and shrimp. I believe they are known for the Cebu lechon. There was also fruits on the table but no mango. I prefer mango. The food to me was meh. We asked for vinegar and added a lot of salt and lechon sauce. My mistake for not asking for patis and calamansi to add flavor to the pancit. Lastly, they do not have a restroom and they do not provide a bowl to wash your hands when you are done eating. You would need to walk behind the counter to use the sink. I would return to give them another try but not for Kamayan. Side note: The whole lechon looks popular and delicious.

I went there around 5pm... and there wasnt any food to choose from. I ordeted online, but when i got there they told me i should hsve called before i placed an order? So whats the point of ordering online? Looks like a takeout food place. No tables or chairs.

First time and last time at this restaurant. If you can call it restaurant. We placed an order of Lechon 3 days in advance and we went to pick it up today .. the line was long and nobody from the restaurant was giving any direction to customers. Waited over 1 hour and once at the front counter we found out NO MORE LECHON!...I understand is a holiday however this place has been opened for few years and they should have orders on point. We ended up ordering next door at Hawaiian island BBQ -2 full trays ready in 30 min. ......Side note -while we waited online DoorDash guy went to pick up an order and was told “ we are not doing DoorDash orders “ what a joke !
Actually ZERO Stars for this business Porky’s Lechon. I really don’t want to be this harsh but this place really should not be in business if they continue to conduct business this way. We attempted to place an order for a whole lechon, pork belly rolls, full platters of various other menu items but this place does not have any customer service at all. Why and who are you in business for? Customers obviously. Their ordering system is not a system at all. We call their number listed and they tell you to hang up and text them back with your order. O-K. So we text the order early afternoon and wait for a response. Many hours later, 3am to be exact, we get a screenshot of the order via text with no instructions how to pay (in full, pay a deposit, where to pay - which looks like in person only) no online payments offered in this day of age. Well we are many miles away and prefer not to drive there twice to pickup at a later date. At this point you realize that you don’t want to risk moving forward with the order if the initial contact is as poor as this therefore jeopardizing our event. In our words, alanganin. Pare some advice - If you want to do turo-turo style fast food then just stick to that. But stay away from catering and larger orders especially for lechon when you know these are special occasions in our culture with many expected guests. It’s understandable that owning and running a business is challenging especially if you wear many hats… (cook, manager, owner, receptionist, host, bookkeeper, web manager, etc.) but you should really get some help in the weak areas of your business that your would-be customers are bringing to your attention. I’m not sure if you got a bailout during the pandemic but every single customer should be treated with prompt attentive service, respect, and honesty in delivering such service. You should be enthusiastic and grateful that your phone is ringing with orders and not act so nonchalant as if you don’t need the business. Please be a professional business owner.
Food is excellent, the store? So messy. Everything everywhere. Literally food on the floor, clutter of things... it's just really bad. I really want to like this place but the whole store is not worth the visit. Unappealing. Looks unsanitary. Hopefully the owner gets tired of the mess and hire someone to clean it because everyone that worked there looks like they don't put any effort to make their workplace look descent. It looks like a storage room with cooked food inside. Sorry, but just my honest opinion.
I feel sorry I ever recommend them to all my non filipino friends. I saw the long line and angry people during last Christmas. I was there and lined up almost 2 hours. I forgave them that time for their disorganized system. Today I called early and agreed to pick up after 4:30p and guaranteed me they open until 6pm. When I got there the door was closed with a sign closed. I was knocking and they just laughed at me and pointed to the sign. I waited and kept knocking. I know they have too many customers to afford me even a little respect as a small time customer like me. But that would be the last time I will let them insult me ever again and destroy my peace for a holiday. There are other better lechon in the area that we would not have to put up with their unprofessional service.
Imagine planning your dinner with family being from out of town, drive to SD for this place, called a week before to confirm its Cebu style lechon, (which is is Bacolod not Cebu, but okay), then show up on Tuesday when they are open to find out they DO NOT HAVE ANY LECHON, AT ALL. Very disappointed. Won't make the effort to try again. How can you have a restaurant named Porky's and your main dish is Lechon and not have ANY of it, BTW this was around 5pm. I wish I can give negative star for the disappointment.
We order Lechon Head for Farher’s Day, when we pick it up at 11:30am there’s no Lechon, they don’t want to give the money back, instead they give my wife the left over food from the day before, I can tell because the potato of the Apritada and Menudo is almost mashed, I can tell because I’m retired Chef…. Terrible!
Ordered delivery today, I don’t like the meat it was hard and the sauce was not thick and need little bit more species to level up.the pork’ skins were not crunchy but burnt. No reorder. Attention to Porky’s Lechon owner I will send you the photos of lumpia and the lechon I need your email address. The lumpia weren’t crunchy, I received the food from Door Dash at 1:30 pm it was delivered to me how could I refused the order? Pictures and receipt. I ordered online.
Worse experience by far! To begin with, I only received two pieces of skin with my order of lechon, the kare kare taste nothing like it, and when I asked for an extra sauce the rude chubby guy behind the counter refused….WTH SMH….i was excited considering it was my first time. Wouldn’t be surprise if I actually met the actual “Porky”. Nothing to highlight,… oh and good luck trying to dine in….they actually have a total of four tables, however the tables are utilized to accommodate the full size pigs for “to go”. Sheesh…. -NEVER AGAIN
I ordered Lechon on my mom’s 92 birthday, We did in Zarlitos Restaurant and the Lechon is raw, very disappointed.. we have 50 guests relatives get together for raw Lechon? We love Lechon but not raw…I’m not happy.. I ordered Large Cebu style…I wish I can post the picture here…what do you think if that happened to them?
The big philipino guy (probably the owner) was rude because we pick-up ordered something on the menu that I guess wasn't intended to be there. That is not our fault. Never come here, they give small portions with a ton of rice also. What a bitter human.
