An amazing experience. The food is TOP quality, will have your taste buds dancing. My 3rd time here and it's never a miss. This time around we had the whole Red Snapper done in their mouth watering tamarind ginger basil sauce 😋..good till the last bone.
Not only was the food amazing, so was the service! Highly recommend the flaming cheesecake!! 🤤💯🫶🏻 Also, the crispy pad Thai was delicious. Drinks were good too. This is definitely on our “will go back” list! Parking was free.
Had a really fulfilling time here for a dinner in Austin. We got the custard baos, which came out very promptly while we waited for our main meals. We ordered their rib and filet mignon pho and their duck soup, both of which were extremely rich and flavorful—would definitely recommend! Our server was Marvy and she was so incredibly sweet and ready to give us all the best recommendations since it was our first time here, and the other waiters we interacted with briefly were also very kind and accommodating. Will have to come back to try some more desserts!
Pretty great experience. Delicious food and atmosphere, definitely lived up to the expectations! Got the crispy pad thai and the noodles were a fun texture. Great take on normal pad thai!
We had an amazing experience thanks to Frank! It’s hard to believe he’s only been with 1618 for one month — he carried himself like he’s been there for years. He was friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring throughout our entire visit. Frank’s positive attitude and generosity really stood out. He made us feel welcomed, valued, and taken care of from start to finish. His energy was warm and happy, and it truly elevated our dining experience. 1618 is lucky to have him — we’ll definitely be back and hope to be served by Frank again!
We were assisted by Frank! He was super friendly and welcoming! Super nice and complimenting! If you stop by and you get assisted by Frank he is amazing! Food never fails we had the duck and stir fried steak 100/10 delicious
Their fillet mignon green curry was the best curry I’ve ever had in my life. Of particular note were the slices of grilled eggplant that provided an umami kick to balance out the dish. Amazing.
Great food! Had the soap long bao, tom yum coconut fried rice, and rib pho. All tasted awesome. Service is great too. Jake took great care of us.
Fantastic restaurant! My family and I came here to celebrate my mom’s birthday and carb-load for an upcoming race. I highly recommend the five sampler appetizer- there’s something for everyone! The sugarcane shrimp was especially delicious. My parents got the shrimp pho and I got the combo pho and the flavors were great. A bit on the pricier side, but the experience was easy to enjoy. Our server Alex was knowledgeable and loved cracking jokes to the table. He was kind enough to give us a good luck cake on top of a happy birthday cake for my mom. I’ll be coming back!
Was in the area and I’ve heard about this place so I stopped by to check it out. I started off with their espresso martini. It’s the traditional version which was pretty good. Waitress was excellent in recommending the calamari and crème brûlée. So yummy. The chicken pad Thai, shumai and fried red snapper lettuce wrap was a hit! But the duck curry not my favorite. The atmosphere was beautiful. Overall. I will be back for sure.
Excellent dim sum experience for a work sponsored brunch on Lunar New Year! We tried a ton of things, but I would say the highlights were the Hanoi egg coffee, the bao, the shumai with dipping sauce, and the beef pot stickers with cheese. My only complaint is that they're targeting an American palate, and found the flavors weren't quite as pungent or spicy as you might find at a more traditional focused restaurant. They make up for it by offering such a wide variety of solid options though! Price wise, I'm not sure I'd come back on my own outside of happy hour though, it's a bit steep for the portions.
The xiaolongbao were bursting with rich soup, with delicate wrappers and generous filling. The oxtail pho had a wonderfully fresh and sweet broth, and the oxtail itself was incredibly tender—so soft it practically melted in my mouth. The staff were attentive and courteous throughout. I truly enjoyed my meal 👍
10/10 all around. Our server Brian was super attentive and on top of everything. The cocktails were great. Most importantly the food...I have had A LOT of soup dumplings...A LOT. Their pho wagyu beef soup dumplings were the best we have ever had. The beef pan fried dumplings and duck wonton noodle soup were also phenomenal. Highly recommend this spot. Sad we are just visiting Austin because this place would have half my pay check weekly 😅
I had an amazing experience the moment I walked in, the service stood out. Our host Dom greeted us with genuine warmth and set the tone for a great evening. Our server Aurelie was absolutely fantastic — attentive, friendly, and super knowledgeable about the menu. She made great recommendations and checked in at all the right times without ever feeling intrusive. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, but the outstanding service from Aurelie and Dom is what truly made the night memorable. Highly recommend this place — can’t wait to come back!
First time eating here and the high ratings are well deserved. Servers and staff were top notch, and the whole menu looked amazing. I had the soup dumplings and the filet mignon pad see ew both 10/10. Only wish is that the noodle dish was a little larger portion, because I ate every last piece! Good Thai tea as well. Great spot for a date night or entertaining guests.
This place came highly recommended during our work trip, so we had to give it a try. We stopped by on a Thursday night a little early and we got seated right away. Our waiter was so helpful and walked us through the large menu! We got the beef bao, as recommended, and I got a Vietnamese bowl with chicken lemongrass. Everything was so good and uniquely put together. Looking around at the other food going out to tables you can’t go wrong and there is a good variety. For dessert my coworker got the flaming cheesecake and I got a caramel cake. Would definitely recommend, perfect for all occasions. As we were finishing up, live music was starting which added a nice touch. Seems to get busy fast so I would recommend going early or getting a reservation.
This Asian restaurant was such a pleasant surprise — especially coming from Austin, where good food options can be hit or miss. The fried rice is incredible — flavorful, perfectly cooked, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The duck dumplings are another standout — rich, juicy, and bursting with flavor. You can really taste the freshness and care that goes into every dish. The service is friendly and attentive, and the restaurant itself has a clean, modern feel. It does get pretty busy at times, and parking can be a bit tricky, but it’s absolutely worth it. Overall, a top-tier spot that serves quality food you can truly taste — easily better than most of what Austin has to offer. I come here all the time !
Wanted to come here for a while and it didn’t disappoint. The beef soup dumplings were so good, only have ever seen pork or chicken soup dumplings on menus so that was a nice change. Beer and wine were excellent. Also had the orange chicken which was good, large pieces of chicken. The caramel dessert cake was super good too and had nice presentation. Ambience was great, such a cute nice place. Id love to go when they have live music. Waitress was sweet and helpful too. Can’t wait to come back.
Loved the Thai Tum Yum & Fried Rice served in a coconut—aromatic, slightly smoky, and packed with juicy shrimp and sweet pineapple, with a fun tropical presentation that felt special. The dining room felt cozy and inviting with warm lighting, perfect for an unhurried meal. Friendly, attentive service and fair prices—would gladly return.
I have only ordered to go from here. I decided to take my family here. They have a vast menu! We ordered way too much food. The spring rolls are made very nicely, the sticky rice with Chinese sausage was very good. The stir fry noodles were way too greasy. The shaking filet was delicious. Our service was spectacular. They had live music too which was a nice bonus.
1618 Asian Fusion delivers a beautiful, open atmosphere that immediately sets the tone. It’s clean, vibrant, and full of energy—an ideal spot for a date night, special occasion, or taking the wife out for nice night of entertainment. The space alone makes you feel like you’re somewhere intentional, not just grabbing a bite. I stopped in for a birthday lunch with a buddy, and overall the experience was solid. What we loved: 🥣 Monster Rib Pho – My buddy ordered this and absolutely loved it. Big, bold, comforting, and clearly a standout. 🦑 Calamari – Cooked well and full of flavor. 🥟 Egg Rolls – Delicious and satisfying. ✨ Overall vibe – Very clean, energetic, and visually appealing. My order: 🍜 Chicken Pad Thai – This was just okay. The flavor was fine, but the chicken portion felt lacking. If I’m paying for a dish at this price point, I expect the protein to reflect it. It leaned heavy on fillers, which was a bit disappointing. 🍸 Cocktail – Looked great presentation-wise, but the taste didn’t land for me. I wouldn’t order it again. Parking: Parking honestly kind of sucks. Most nearby spots are reserved, so you’ll likely need to use the parking garage across the way. Slightly inconvenient, but not a deal breaker. Final Thoughts: All in all, I do recommend 1618 Asian Fusion. The atmosphere, cleanliness, and several menu items really shine. I’m planning to give it another try—this time taking my wife so she can experience it for herself. I’ll update once that happens. Definitely check them out and support local businesses.
Highly recommend booking a table in advance, as this place is always busy. We ordered pineapple fried rice, veg dumplings, and Vietnamese chicken. The fried rice and dumplings were absolutely delicious — definitely worth trying! The chicken, however, was a bit oily and not as impressive. Our server Nick was wonderful — attentive and checked in often to make sure we had everything we needed. Parking is available in the garage opposite the restaurant, which is convenient. Also, a nice touch — they serve a birthday cheesecake if you’re celebrating at the table! They have live music and outdoor seating as well
Duck soup with wontons - wontons were good, the broth was good but a little too sweet for me. The duck was tender. Tri-meat - good, but it was served warm. I wanted it hot. The pickled veggies were good, and the fish sauce was great. This dish closely reminds me of "bún chả Hà Nội". Phở xiao long Bao - good. I can imagine pho being good. The broth was deep with flavor and was clear.
Went here with a large group from work. A large menu features a variety cuisine choices. Another menu features cocktails. Another menu features wines. Some speciality cocktails are prepared tableside. One in our group ordered the smoky old fashioned which was prepared at our table. We shared several appetizers and I really enjoyed my duck red curry. The curry was very rich in flavor and had a touch of smokiness. Portions were generous. Service was attentive. A band performed popular tunes at an appropriate volume so as to not drown out conversation. A reservation is recommended as there was a continuous queue of people waiting to dine
