That was my first time to be in this restaurant. I went through many Asian restaurants in Texas but this one surprised me. I ate a very nice chicken tandoori and goat biryani. Really nice

I really have no idea how this place doesn't have 4+ or 4.5+ stars. I've been going here with coworkers for lunch for at least a year, and no one has gotten a bad meal. (That's over 50 meals between the group of us and not one bad meal). An Indian coworker came with us and confirmed it's legit haha! All of the chicken dishes I've had are very good with the Ginger chicken standing out for something sweet and spicy (almost like General Tso's chicken except with Indian flavors). The lunch combos are also great. I've been to Sangam before and they don't have the variety that Biriyani Pot does. If you like Indian, give this place a shot! I can't speak for any of the negative reviews, but Friday lunches here are awesome!

The best authentic Indian food I've had in Austin so far! We got the Chicken Biryani, Mutton Biryani, Tandoori Chicken, Curry and Naan. The food is fragrant and spicy! If you can't handle spice, do ask for less. My favourite has to be the Mutton Biryani, something different from chicken, and the Mutton was cooked perfectly! The staff were also very nice, giving us recommendations and suggestions for our meal. The portion sizes were also big, and we were filled! Overall 10/10 experience and I'll definitely visit again.

Some of the best South Indian food we have had in Austin. Absolutely love this place we been dining-in there several times, the hostess n server are friendly always greet us with a great smile. The restaurant is very clean and great ambiance all over with neutral white colors. Our order was super flavorful and fresh. The quantity are genorous easliy feeds two people. No wonder they are super busy with the ToGO orders, I've seen many orders packed in large trays of multiple orders. We love there Double-Ka-Meeta and Sweet Pan. Highly recommend.

Was at the hospital down the street and came here for dinner with my sister and her boyfriend, we got a dish each, and they were AMAZING! So glad we chose this place, HIGHLY recommend.

We tried the Paneer Combo Meal at Biryani Pot Austin, and overall, it was decent. The combo included Paneer Biryani, Paneer Curry, Gobi Manchurian, and Corn Chilly, along with roti and pappad. While the flavors were good, some items seemed like they were prepared in the morning and simply reheated for lunch. The kesar dessert was straight out of the freezer and didn’t taste fresh. I hope they focus more on serving freshly prepared food, as the quality could definitely be better with that extra touch.

We visited Biryani Pot in Austin yesterday as two families, including a child. Although it was a Friday evening, we expected a crowd, but the restaurant was surprisingly empty. We got our food quickly, which was a plus, but a few menu items were missing. The chicken biryani we ordered was spicy, but not the dum biryani we had hoped for; it was more like a fried piece biryani. The chicken lollipops were too sweet for our taste, and the dosa and vada came with cold chutneys, straight from the fridge. On the plus side, we were served with water bottles, which was a nice touch, though we’re not sure if we were charged for them. The portion sizes were decent, but the atmosphere lacked energy, and the flavors weren’t as rich as we expected. Overall, it was a mixed experience.

The potato dumpling curry was insanely good. But the tandoori chicken was a little disappointing. For one, we ordered a "whole chicken" and got four small drumstick/thigh pieces. That's not a whole chicken (should have wings, drumsticks, thighs, and breasts). The flavor was good, but not what I've come to expect from tandoori chicken. The naan was also very good, but quite thin. If we come back, it will be for the curry. It was super creamy, and the flavor was amazing. There are no physical menus, so you'll have to scan a qr code with your phone. There is also construction going on, so there's an interesting plastic tarp covering half of the restaurant.

This was an awful experience. The staff here are the most dishonest and insincere people. They lie to your face, saying the food will be ready in 3 to 5 minutes, but we waited 25 minutes and it still wasn’t ready. What’s worse, they didn’t even apologize—just arrogantly told us they still didn’t know when it would be done, as if we were supposed to just leave. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I ordered Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biryani & Paneer Biryani for take-out. Both items can probably fly as pulav, but it’s insulting to refer to them as biryani. Their Chicken dum biryani was savoury, but it was underwhelming for their most popular menu item. Their paneer was more firm than my mattress and barely had any seasoning. It’s my fault for having high expectations, only because it seemed to be a Hyderabadi restaurant. This place was disappointing overall. They also didn’t have enough change & owe me $0.26.

We have been regularly purchasing Family pack Panner Biryani with them for more than 3yrs, but off recently the taste, quality and authenticity has reduced. They start charging extra for raita ( instead of Salna ) also. They will probably lose my business henceforth.

Ordered the chicken biryani lunch combo which came with cold and stale onion pakoda and the other items on the tray were slightly warm but became cold quickly as it was cold in the establishment. The biryani was 2 small pieces of dry chicken at the bottom of the bowl with rice piled on top of it; naan was thin and crispy, not what I’m used to getting at other Indian places. My daughter ordered the butter chicken which came with big chunks of chicken but was flavorful. Service wasn’t there and when it came time to pay the lady told me they were only taking cash at the moment. Mind you there were no signs stating that anywhere and she had the hand held device which I ended up paying on with Apple Pay. Discrimination at its finest. All in all, very dissatisfied and don’t recommend.

This was my first visit to Biryani Pot and it will absolutely be my last. I ordered a to-go meal this afternoon, ate half during the day, and when I went to finish it at night, I was horrified to find a cockroach in the food. This is not just disappointing, it’s a serious health and hygiene violation. I’m genuinely shocked that a restaurant serving customers can allow such poor standards.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant. The Chicken Majestic was drenched in oil, making it nearly inedible. It lacked the flavor and balance I was expecting. The boneless chicken biryani was no better bland, overcooked, and simply unpleasant. To make matters worse, the staff were loud and disruptive, which ruined any chance of enjoying the meal. The overall experience was far from pleasant, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for quality South Indian food or a peaceful dining environment.
