Our favorite donut store in the area! We've tried them all and these are the best! And the staff was very nice - even gave my daughter a blueberry donut hole to have while they were ordering. Their donuts taste like real donuts, melt in your mouth, and are delicious! And they were cooked perfectly! And they had a great selection!

I'm not usually a donut person but these are hands down the best donuts I have ever had. The original glazed are so soft and fluffy and they have the perfect amount of glaze. Fun selection of kids' donuts and amazing breakfast tacos too!

Their freshness & quality/ taste is unmatched . Their donut holes melt in your mouth, love the reg & blueberry. I was surprised how much I also loved their tacos! The chorizo with egg, bean, & cheese is fantastic! Oh and the ladies who run the front are as sweet as pie.

My family’s go-to donut spot in the Steiner area! They are so yummy and stand up to some of the other “best” known Austin donut spots (and I’m born and raised in ATX). My father in law swears by the Apple fritter. The kids love the colorful donuts. Husband and I go for the kolaches and a standard glazed donuts. And we were surprised by how good their breakfast tacos are (but be prepared for a wait because they are made to order). We ordered birthday letter donuts for my sons fifth birthday and they turned out so cute!

Great donuts. We have had the yeast and cake and both are great. Yeast ones melt in your mouth and the cake ones are moist. Even better is that these donuts are DAIRY FREE. Both of my kids can not eat dairy so it is so good to find a place on the North side of Austin that has dairy free donuts and they are good. They do close early when they run out of donuts, so go early.

I don’t typically write reviews unless I’m either extremely disappointed or impressed with an establishment.. but I had to because this place is 10/10! I got a kolache, 2 doughnuts, a dozen donut holes, and a coffee. First things first- that kolache was AMAZING. Best one I’ve ever had. The doughnuts were great, but those donut holes were just perfection. I even shared some with some friends and without saying anything, they said “these are the best donut holes I’ve ever had”. I am so impressed and will 100% be back.

I swung by just before 8 on Wednesday. Absolutely the best donuts and holes I've had. I typically like Krispy Kream, although they're insanely sweet. Howdy Donuts aren't too sweet at all. They're super light and fluffy with just the right amount of sweet. I also tried a complementary blueberry cake donut hole that wasn't to heavy, but actually perfect. Well worth trying! You won't be disappointed. I'll be back to try again.

I love the Sausage kolaches (not arguing about what are true kolaches) and donut holes. Everything was good, they have extremely fast service, got everything i needed for feeding coworkers in just a few minutes. Super convenient

I love this place and so does everyone else! 💕 They have the BEST donut holes I've ever had in my life. The jalapeno bacon croissant kolaches are everything which is why they sell out. One of the women (maybe the owner?) is so bubbly and kind. When they were out of the croissant kolache, she suggested trying the croissant sandwich. I said, "ooh, yeah! Let's do that!" And excitedly, she says, "we could also put jalapeños on it!" "Omg yes! Perfect!" It was a whole cute vibe of genuine, bubbly kindness. ✨️ Everything I've had has been delicious and I love finding small businesses that excel and genuinely enjoy their work. Thanks, Howdy Donut! 🍩

Made to order breakfast tacos was a pleasant surprise. Very tasty with a warm fresh tortilla. (most other places pre make their breakfast tacos causing the tortillas to get soggy) The atmosphere was very clean and organized. I will definitely be back.

Stopped by early in the morning to grab some donuts for my family- These donuts were light and fluffy. I’ve never had a donut that was of this much quality. Their cake donuts are probably the best I’ve had… most places have cake donuts that a rock hard. These ones were soft and lived up to the name. I really recommend this place. Maybe next time I’ll try their lattes! Definitely recommend and I will be back again!!

BEST donuts! Howdy Donut is a tier above ANY other local (or chain) donut shop in the area. You can tell they use high quality ingredients and actually care about their donuts tasting good and fresh! They melt in your mouth and have great flavor. At first I was a little surprised because they're a little smaller than other donuts, but they are so delicious that the size is actually perfect! Their kolaches are also some of the best I have had in a long time. I'm so glad they are close by! I can't say enough good things about this bakery.

You can definitely tell who they cater to (I.e. not working people like myself). Service is usually slow and today set the tone for any future visits, meaning I won't be visiting again. Arrived 945a, was there until close to 10. Got most of the food relatively quickly; the croissant for some reason took longer than expected. I was waiting watching about 4 to 6 people roll through after I had ordered waiting on the croissant and the large iced chai I'd ordered, seeing them all getting their food and coffee, yet no acknowledgement of me waiting. I finally receive the croissant and still waiting on the drink. I have to approach the counter again, can barely understand them and they me, and they then begin on my drink. It arrives, wrong size. No apology, just a refund. Seemed like they just wanted me out the door so they could move on to the next one. I'd recommend not wasting your money or time, but that's up to you. Other places closer to home, not work, will be getting my business. I will not be returning.

No one charges a premium for blueberry cake donuts. This place charges $2.50 each. I dislike that on something so simple as donuts there is no transparency in their pricing.
