Opinions de Lazarus Brewing Company Austin
Awesome brew pub! I had the west coast IPA 40 days & 40 nights.
My wife and I had a great time at Lazarus this weekend. There are several inviting spaces to relax in, and the atmosphere is a laid back neighborhood vibe. We enjoyed some delicious street tacos along with a nice variety of drinks-- Lightning Wolf and Kon-Tiki on draft, and Chardonnay. As a craft beer snob from Atlanta, I didn't know what to expect. But let me tell you, the Kon-Tiki was one of the most flavorful and refreshing drafts I've ever had. The pineapple and coconut combination was incredible but not overpowering. I sincerely hope Lazarus considers distributing or attending beer festivals in the near future — their lineup definitely deserves wider exposure. A huge shoutout to the team: the manager, Homer, and bartenders Katilyn and Mattix were incredibly friendly. They even took a beer shot with us to celebrate our 33rd “Meetaversary,” which made our visit to Austin even more memorable. Cheers to great beer, great people, and great memories!!
Placed a to-go order today. Order was ready quickly, parking was a breeze (Monday lunch time) and service was friendly. The tacos are the bomb and they are BIG! The salsa verde is yum! Inside is cute - great vibes & value!
We had a great experience at Lazarus in Austin. The house-made chips and pico were fresh and delicious, and they have a great selection of both Lazarus beers and guest pours. Our chips took about 45 minutes to come out, but when we mentioned it to a runner, she was incredibly kind and brought us a round on the house without hesitation!! That level of hospitality really stood out. Great beer, great guest pours, and excellent service—we’ll definitely be back!
Great happy hour, $2 for one of the better rice lagers I've had, $2 for a solid bean and cheese tostada, and $2 off almost everything else. The rest of their beers are honestly better than the rice lager, particularly the IPAs and some of the twists on German brews. Also a great space to just work from, since they have good WiFi, plenty of space, coffee and food options, and they make you feel welcome.
This place has to be one of the best environments I've ever been a part of. The music, the beer, the service, the food, was amazing. Keep the rock vibe music on high, keep the friendly vibes on high! The Sunday crew is unstoppable, Chelsea was amazing, lazlao was on point and Benjamin was fabulous. This team is what you have to have to drive business!
I walked in first thing this morning and placed a to-go order. I'm a morning person, and it seemed like they were too because I was greeted by smiles and helpfulness! There was a comfy sitting area for me to wait (my wait wasn't very long). They helped me decide what to order and the breakfast tacos were so full and delicious (the carnitas was my favorite) they took the cheese off of some tacos to accommodate our diet restrictions, and suggested rich delicious lattes to help us start our day right!
What a surprise! Service is amazing and so friendly, the tacos are fresh, original flavors and delicious. Of course the beer is outstanding I went for the northwest passage (coffee black ale) and a couple of crazy horse (Pilsner original). Ask for Lazlo and Karla my new friends in Austin! 🍻
Lazarus Brewing Company, which is located on East 6th Street in Austin, Texas, is a great spot for a drink + a bite to eat! The atmosphere inside of this space is warm, inviting, and the staff are really kind. The service is very efficient, even when the place is really busy! They have several draft beer options, all of which are brewed in-house. They have Beer-To-Go options as well, including 12 ounce beer cans + 32 ounce crowlers. As a non-beer drinker myself, I was hoping to try one of their Frozens during my first visit here (e.g. their Margarita or Pina Colada). Unfortunately, their machine was down, so I tried one of their Rosé options (as outlined on their wine list) instead. Honestly, this did the trick, because whatever I was served was delicious. :-) Regarding food, their Chiquito-sized Nachos are delicious - they are the perfect snack. I highly recommend this spot!
Lazarus hands down has the best locally brewed beers in Austin and arguably the entire country, there I said it. The crisp refreshing lagers such as Black Pearl, Time Machine, and John Wayne is a Sissy make getting through the summer days in Austin a breeze, and if that ain’t your style, there are plenty of other ales on tap. The staff are always friendly and inviting, vibes are immaculate, and the location has you feeling close to the city but away from the rambunctiousness of E 6th st. Highly recommend showing your friends and family Lazarus, it won’t disappoint. Special shout out to Carlos who always says hello with a bright smile and shows some love to my boy Tex!🤠
I’m here visiting my son from Bellingham, WA. I googled best breweries near me - picked your Airport Blvd. Location by ratings and proximity to my son’s home. Was super happy with my choice! I profess to be an IPA snob, and live a good hazy when it’s warm. Your Lightning Wolf delivered! Juicy, citrusy deliciousness! And your outdoor space had an amazing vibe. Felt like I could be home (with both coffee and beer in same spot), but warmer! Grabbed a 6-pk to go…still enjoying! Will be back on future visits!
Went to Airport Blvd location. I had a flight and enjoyed all of the beers that I tried so I took 3 crowlers to go to share with friends back in San Antonio. When I got home, all 3 had leaked and when I took them off of the plastic holder 1 exploded with the top coming off. Good beer, but if you want buy the crowlers to go, make sure you keep them as cold as possible during transport. Edited after contact from Jessica at Lazarus: changed from 4 to 5 stars and added advice for crowler transport. I’m still unsure if crowler leaks/bursting were from a packaging issue or transport. The beers were never brought above 80F but since they were stored cold at Lazarus, even that temperature change added to the vibration of car travel to San Antonio may have caused the leaking. Note that the temperature change being a factor is my speculation on the cause and not an excuse/deflection offered by Lazarus. Regardless of the cause, Jessica addressed the issue and I am happy with the result. Again, the beer was excellent, service was friendly and the quick contact about a customer issue is a sign of a well run business. I’ll return to Lazarus when visiting Austin and hope to try their food and more of their delicious beer. Cheers.
You'll love this brewery. Not only do they brew their own beer, they roast their own coffee too. While I was in town for the No Longer Virtual Summit, our group decided to meet up here for dinner and a few pints. So glad we chose this spot. The food was amazing. Sorry to say I dove right into my street tacos and didn't get a pic. Other people in our group ventured into more of the menu and loved every bit of it. Every beer I had was delicious. And of course the staff was super friendly and helpful. You definitely want to make this a regular stop if you live in the area. And if you're visiting like I was, make sure to get in here.
This was my first time here. I had a beer with my mom - had the Greyhaven - English Pale Mild with Earl Grey Tea. 🍺 The beer was great as was the service from the bartender. The atmosphere was really nice as well. Also, they're dog friendly - dogs are allowed on the patio. Saw a cute pup when I visited!
Lazarus Brewing is one of my favorite breweries in Downtown/East Austin. I first went there for a lunch and their food are delicious too! I've been going back for a year by now and they never disappoint. The whole ambiance is very chill and hip. With spacious indoor and outdoor seatings, this place is great for corporate events and private celebrations as well. My favorite corner is the sofa area underneath the deer. It's very close to the counter and the spot is just really comfy and cute :) When the weathers nice, I would recommend grab a and go to their outdoor patio. They have very cool murals and oak barrel wall decors. Food-wise, I love their tacos and quesadillas. Lunch bowls are yummy too. Drinks-wise, my favorite beer is called "As You Wish". It's so flavorful and smells really good. Plus, all price reasonable. Lastly, staff are all friendly. And the wait time is never too long even during rush hours.

Great tacos and a good selection of fresh brews. Small place so parking is limited; get there early. Picnic tables outside, mostly in the shade.

Lazarus Brewing is a solid spot on the east side with lots of beers on tap, a decent food menu, and a big, comfortable patio that’s perfect for hanging out. It’s dog-friendly, which is a huge plus if you like to bring your pup along. My only real disappointment is that they don’t offer any stouts or barleywines, so if you’re a fan of darker, heavier beers, you might leave wanting more. Overall, though, it’s a great place to relax with friends and try a variety of beers.

Friendly and attentive staff. Always happy to serve and engage with you. Food range is not great, beer selection is ok, although they didn’t have much IPA selection for a brewery!

Stopped by for a beer and some food. The guys at the bar weren't particularly attentive or friendly but I wasn't there looking for friendship anyway. We ordered some food and beer. The taco al pastor and mushroom taco were ok, perhaps better than expected. The St Pete porter was fine, but, again, nothing special.
It seems like a great atmosphere and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The order up front seems ok when it’s not busy but the line can get backed up when it’s busy. Waited 40 minutes on a Sunday at noon for one order of chips and queso in which the queso was extremely cold. Beers were decent. Parking is tough to find and must look around the streets.
Their Octoberfest and stouts are legit. The other beers are just okay...subjective I know. This is just my personal opinion. $$$

I never leave reviews but the food was so bland I had to. I had a chipotle chicken rice bowl, there was no salt in anything, there was a good amount of spice but little love put into the food. Chips were good, guac had the same issue - no salt. If you go here maybe skip the food and just grab some drinks. The atmosphere is chill and nice
