This is my new favorite bar. Admittedly, I love a dive bar, and the cat just clinches it for me. The Cat, OC, (also known as orange cat) pretty much encompasses the vibe of this place. “Take me as I am, i’m a cool cat, but that’s not important cause I’m checking out my friends.” Drinks were good, bartender had a great personality with a little bit of flare, and patrons were very friendly and normal neighbors . Felt like a great neighborhood bar, I will be back!

Silver Medal is a perfect dive. Outside of good prices, good food, and cold drinks, I never know what I’m going to get when I go here. And that makes things so fun. Will OC the cat be there? What kind of crowd today? What movie will be on the tv? What music will be playing? Heavy metal or hip hop? There’s also lots of outdoor seating and a somewhat raggedy but functioning well enough pool table

Cool dive bar. Add hot sauce to the Jello shots, just do it! I only drank there but the burgers are supposedly a super value and very good according to my friend I went with.

Anyone not giving this place a 5 star review… I’ll fight you anytime, anywhere. Jk but Grateful for this bar within walking distance. When my wife is out of town, I’ll do dinner here every night. I’ve seen me do it. Get the namesake burger, the nesser and banjo dogs, and a shot of granddad. You’re welcome.

Bartender night of the 27th was a little rough around the edges but was nice enough (thought I was drunk off two beers due to my alerted gait as I have half a leg missing and wore shorts to make sure he'd see but guess he didn't) no biggy. But man LUKIA (LUKE) was awesome on a whole nother level! Deserves a raise for going above and beyond even if he pretends it's not a big deal. He's a humble cool dude 😎 I'll be going back just to chill with him if not for the great hotdogs. Guys service was on point!

Just realized I've been a regular here for the better part of a year and haven't left a review. The staff is awesome, from the bartenders right down to the cooks. Their burgers slap, prices on drinks are great, and I can't help but to stop in and grab one of their frito pies now and then. They have recently extended the outdoor seating to offer more coverage and a pool table, just bring quarters! Hands down, my favorite bar in the world, yes they are a dive bar and the best I've ever been to. Even if I moved out of area, I would still stop in here when I could.

They were delicious so we came back for burgers the next night. Top notch. Great back patio. Owner was super cool and engaging. All staff very pleasant and helpful. Don't judge a book by its cover. This is a good stop to make. You can get a cheeseburger AND a chili dog with a bud heavy for $12!

They know damn well that they are a dive bar And they try to maximize the amenities of a traditional dive bar without hurting the price and more importantly making the quality spectacular. This place is a hidden gem. Total dive bar, and not the type of place you go to for a multi ingredient cocktail. But of you want a beer or a shot, this is your place. Also, their specialty is the John Daly - an alcoholic version of an Arnold Palmer with hard tea and lemon vodka served in a pitcher. But the REAL hidden gem - if you dont eat pork or beef but miss a good hotdog, this place has the BEST veggie hotdogs in the ENTIRE city. Seriously, prove me wrong. Also, they got damn good veggie burgers too (they even got a veggie burger with cheese and veggie chili). And the esquites - chefs kiss. Come for the food, stay for the beer and the good vibes. Silver medal takes the gold for veggie hot dogs in Austin.

Dive bar with a great patio and a bar cat. Food always takes a while, but as long as you’re not rushed, enjoy hanging out!

A true dive bar with a wonderful staff and stiff pours. We didn't eat, but friends say the cheese burger and hot dogs are great and are featured in a regular special.

Seemed like good divey joint. Was told by regulars there that the special (dog / burger / beer combo) is good (and it sure smelled like it) but as it came with Bud beer and no substitutions did not try it. Don't care for Bud

I saw the hotdog 🌭 sign on the outside so I pulled over and walked in. The beer was cold, served in bottle, no draft. The food was great but more importantly the customers were nice and conversations were easy and great. I'll definitely be back.

The bartender v was rude as heck

Service is terrible. Couldn't get the bartenders attention. They were more interested in chatting than doing their job. I waited ten minutes before I walked out. The parking lot was full of nails. Found a pile of about 20 nails by my car. Wont be coming back or recommending it.

Food is decent but the bar staff was trash; only one beer opener who just talked extensively to other customers/friends, so it took about 15 mins to get an order in; with less than 10 customers. Might just be the vibe. some other guy eventually came to fulfill orders while the original bartender took smoke breaks and talked.

The blonde long hair dude was unkind and unhelpful. I asked for advice and was laughed at. I get the sense that he just wanted to close early and didn’t want to serve our large group.

Was told water is self serve at the door from the jug. They have no black tea they said. Later I noticed a pitcher of ice cold ware and black tea at the counter lol. The bathroom- disgusting. Without too much detail on that, I want to say whatever it is, mold buildup on and around the faucet knobs- how difficult would it be for them to clean sometimes?
