I went here for lunch on a friday and let me tell you. My food was fresh and nicely prepared. They let me know my crab cake was gonna be a out after my food as they cooked it fresh. I would recommend coming her for lunch during work hours or any day for that matter.

Tonight our family was one of those customers who came through the drive through 20 minutes before closing. If you've ever worked in the food service industry you know That feeling...lol. The crew they had working tonight were top notch! Super friendly, and superb customer service! Our order was hot, fresh and no issues at all! Super delicious! Felicia and Kylie are the best! It was my first time going to Long John Silver's in years, and they made a great impression. I have never written a review on an experience at a drive-thru, but they were both so nice and professional that it warranted one. Felicia was really friendly and helpful, and she encouraged me to fill out the survey which led to me visiting again. On my second visit, I met Kylie who is young but carried herself so well that I know she has a great future ahead! Will be visiting this location again.

The food was great and served quickly at my table. I did have an issue with a fly bugging me the whole time I was eating, but I don't fault this establishment for it. That is just a fact of life and could happen anywhere. The restaurant was very clean and I'm sure I just happened to sit down at the wrong table.

Everything about this A&W/Long John Silver’s restaurant exceeded my expectations. The restaurant was super clean. The employees are friendly, competent and do a great job. The food was delicious and temperature perfect. This place is a model for how every LJS should be run. I hope that LJS corporate recognizes how amazing this LJS store is and studies it to make improvements at all their other mostly-failing locations.

Seriously can’t say enough how nice everyone was! I wasn’t expecting anything special but they were so wonderful. Polite when I took a long time to order and had to make a second order. They brought the food to my table and made sure I had any sauces I wanted. Then to top it off they came and gave my kid some lollipops and were super sweet to him. I’m sad this location isn’t close to me because I would go back just because they’re nice. Anytime I’m in the area I’ll be back. All the food was delicious and fresh. The cheese curds are definitely a new favorite. And the hot dog my kid didn’t want was actually really good too!

I grew up eating this A LOT, & every time my family and I have eaten here, it’s taken me right back to my childhood memories. The food was always hot and fresh, we always got our food in a timely manner (especially for the extremely big meal we would order to feed 8 of us) I personally have never had a problem with my order as far as missing anything or anything being under/over cooked, and now being that we’d eat here at least 2/3 times a month, I was EXTREMELY disappointed the day my husband went for a lunch run and instead of returning for lunch, I receive a phone call saying “Uhmm Babe it’s CLOSED, & not like for the day closed, it’s closed down” 😳😱🤯 OMG I about cried no lie.!! Someone please let me & I’m sure many others who are all wondering/asking the exact same, know if this is temporary or is this something that’s for good.? Being the next closest location to me would be Buda & that location is trashy & extremely horrible & disgusting.!! This would be heart breaking.!!

Haven’t been in a while. Came to the Austin location on Cameron rd. Mid afternoon and the food was Great!! Coleslaw was fresh, fish had a nice cut and cooked perfectly. Shrimp and chicken were also cooked to perfection!! I’m quite critical being an ex-day cook. Very impressed! Thank you for the work your team does!!!!

The woman working the day I bought 3 milk stakes and one slaw was the greatest es. Smiling kind and even made my day. I said I have a wierd order and when I told her the order she responded so sweely with a great big no that's not wierd get your snack on. I will go back just for her uplifting attitude. I've always loved Long John Silver's and love this location. It's the main location in Austin. I was sad when it temporarily closed but so excited and happy now that it's open again! Still the best place for fast great tasting seafood!

The Team at LJS on Cameron Rd is always so friendly and kind. They had our big order perfect, even the extra crumbs! I always have a good experience at the drive thru and pre-ordering with their mobile option.

I grew up with Long John Silver's , back where all the employees wore pirate hats with a ring attached to resemble a pirate's earring. We love the LJS here on Cameron. About 3 months ago a driver hit the back corner of their building and did some major damage. The time estimate to repair and re-open was 1 month. Of course we know with new inspections and all they finally were able to open after 3 months. This Long John Silver's/A&W rootbeer burgers and more is fantastic. We also enjoyed it and we finally made it back around and got to eat there again. This is a "standard" for us. They have come a long way. There are healthier choices...it's not all fried. And new selections as well. The staff has been and was today so very helpful and service was A+++! This LJS has cleaned oil than LJS Round Rock, the fish / chicken are noticably golden brown compared to just brown-brown of other fish friers. I don't normally love Capital Plaza, but it's worth it for this LJG (doubly so during lent)

I haven't been to a Long John Silver's in forever and I was pretty excited to find there's one near my work. I used the drive-thru at lunch, the staff was extremely friendly, and the food was very fresh and hot , seemed like it just came out of the fryer. Everything was cooked exactly right - No rubbery overcooked shrimp.

Awesome hot fresh food! I ordered the shrimp coleslaw fries and those wonderful puppies! Lol l! My husband (not into alot seafood so thank goodness for A&W) ordered doublemeat bacon cheeseburger with fries! Ummm I'm so stuffed and was so delicious we also HAD the ROOT BEER. I absolutely love this Capital Plaza (Cameron Rd) location, they never seem to disappoint. It saves a little time and a toll to visit LJS Elgin, but after many times of being disappointed due to food quality, poor customer service, and rude mgmt, It’s well worth the trip. James helped me today, who I found later to be Mgr. He was great, accommodating with a last minute change, and my entire variety platter was hot & fresh. That’s not always easy at 3pm because it’s a slower time. Somehow they not only manage it here, they’re consistent. All the employees I’ve had contact with have been just as good, once again not easy to find anymore. Somebody is doing something right here because from outside looking in it looks like smooth sailing. Now with years of Mgr experience myself I know it’s just not that easy.

Came to the Cameron Rd location on a Sunday at 2:30PM to satisfy my occassional craving for LJS. I will return to this particular location. The young gentleman at the counter gave friendly customer service. My order came out fast, fresh and hot. The restaurant looked clean and we'll kept. After serving food to another guest, the same friendly gentleman stopped over to see if he could get me anything. My husband likes burgers so since this is a Long John Silver's and A&W I will bring him with me next time. The table next to me got the shrimp dinner. That looked really good. I will have to try that next time.

A dying breed of restaurant that slaps! Glad there are a few in town but I always manage to forget or deem they are too far away. LJS all the way, by the way. Great sides, great fries, great crunchies, just get extra napkins to soak up all that oil/grease off your protein of choice.

They the only seafood fastfood restaurant chain in Austin. They do seafood like nobody else. The name says it all. Good prices,plenty of your plate and you not gonna find seafood at a better price.

Great Customer Service I drove over here during my lunch at work as I had a BOGO coupon. I have not been to a Long John Silver's for a few years and this visit did not disappoint. Even though I waited at the counter for a few minutes before I was noticed, I left a happy customer. The food was made fresh and fast and the Customer service was pretty dang good. Given the long week I had, I absent mindedly left my phone at the condiment area but the nice employee came out to the car, while I was frantically searching, and asked me if I the cell phone she had in her hand was mine. Thank you for your honesty! The food was pretty good - it is a fast food restaurant after all. I had ordered the 2 peice fish meal with corn and green beans. I love that I could change my sides at no extra charge and replace the french fries with something else that I would rather eat. All the food was good, fresh as it can be for fast food. The customer service is what will keep me a customer! Thank you!

I haven't eaten there in a long time. The fast food is still delicious but I don't remember it being that greasy. Friendly staff. Clean tables. Comfortable atmosphere. I felt safe, comfortable and satisfied.

Food and Service were good. I went for the Grilled Salmon and I was happy with the taste. Was just under $9 including 2 sides and rice, Tax, no Drink. I will go back for the Salmon or maybe try the Grilled Shrimp.

Inexpensive lunch, well prepared though a little salty, good malt vinegar. Pickup from the ordering counter. Cooked corn, and green beans available. CocaCola products and A&W root beer.

Good thing about this location is the staff. Friendly and always pleasant. Food is their std. comfort menu. The con to the place is that it’s a little bit shabby but I will say that’s the normal thing for a corporation chain before COVID and all the restaurants are bleeding money now so I don’t see a makeover . And it’s fairly clean.

Went through the drive-thru. Slight wait but definitely worth it. Batter dipped fish was freshly fried, hush puppies were hot, and left with everything I ordered and all my favorite sauces (tarter,ketchup, and cocktail sauce).

This is one of those things we grew up eating so it has nostalgic appeal to me that most people probably won’t get. I only get the Chicken, I do not get the fish. I don’t like their fish (sorry LGS). I then douse the chicken in malt vinegar. Since this also an A&W you can get a root beer float to go with it. This occasional guilty pleasure sends me back to simpler times. Your mileage may vary, but it’s something I crave once in a while. If you like malt vinegar doused foods give it a shot (but give the chicken a minute to rest or the vinegar will be boiling hot).

First time ever trying Long John Silver's and it was pretty good, service was quick and friendly.

Always a childhood favorite. I want to remember when they gave out toys. I can't say what number but I would always get too. Fish large fries and hush puppies some beings in macaroni and cheese I mean, the macaroni is nothing compared to my sister's, but it gets the job done. Add salt, need that. If I could describe the taste is immaculate. Dependent on who's cooking 🍳 just play. It's always a thumbs up, from me you get 2 Shoot thumbs up. The setting is peaceful in welcoming. In the service. Is as you are at home being fed by Granny. When you know what you wanna eat, the money would not stop or change what you're going to do. Honestly I didn't put value on money. Only the work it took to get what I spent it on or how I used it to survive. Overall, money cheeks people in the same place. Doing the same thing only to want more and never see it. On the I can't say I have no care for it. It's just an assessity or showcase of hard work. That's all I got.

As far as Long John Silvers goes it was as good or better than any I've been to. Fast service, every thing nice and hot and extra crispies on request. With that said, I can only do LJS about once a year. When I go I remember why I don't want to go back.

The person at the counter. She needs more training on customer service. She did not want to make eye contact with anyone. She would just stare down and wait for you to say something. The gentleman in the back, maybe the manager, was friendly.

I have loved LJS since high school, prep and portion sizes were better back then, and they didn't charge if you wanted extra crispies.. still pretty good though and sometimes I just crave LJS until I get my fish and more :)

Store is a little run down and tucked away behind other businesses. I went inside for take out. I feel bad I don't remember the young man's name who took my order. Extremely polite, very professional even engaged me in idle conversation while I waited. Orderd 3 fish, fries and slaw. Even picked up a bottle of malt vinegar. Traditional fish and chips. Fish was over cooked and a little soggy. Fries were either cooked in the same oil or the oil really needs changed. Tarter sauce only came in packets and it seemed thin rather than sticking to the fish it ran off. Soda was fine, sadly for LJS/A&W restaurant I didn't see the option for A&W Root Beer.

Ladies restroom is rusted and the wastebasket looks to be the original one. It was a Rubbermaid brand but blackened over time. The dining room was well-maintained. The food was stock LJS food.

We were greeted in a timely manner. Food okay....fish and shrimp batter was a bit salty. Our platters were freshly prepared which was awesome. The restaurant didn't seem that clean in which tables were dirty although there weren't many people eating on the inside. Me dropping my cup of ketchup didn't help but they did have someone to mop it up right away.

They got my order wrong. When they got it right then it was overcooked. Also they made it to go when I was obviously eating there. Nor a great experience this time around. It must have been off day cause the last time I ate there is was just fine. As a matter of fact, they lady that was working that evening made the best root beer float that I think that I ever did have. So bravo for that and boo for tonight's meal. They need constant that one can depend on.

This place would be so much better if it didn't take so long to get food. I've sat in the drive-thru line for 20 min once before and today was pretty close to that. I've had food missing from my order, which is really infuriating making it back home and realizing that, but I've learned to check every other before I leave the window now. The staff have always been really nice though, so that's a plus.

Took order and got the food quick. Not that busy during the week. There is always a street person snoozing in the store. They need to get red vinegar for the fried or grilled fish.

Was being rushed when ordering in drive thru asked us twice if we were ready to order and we had already ordered the first time and we order. 2 large rootbeers and never said pull forward never responded back so we pulled forward and we paid and then she gave us our food and said have a good night and while closing the window we asked for out drinks and she starting taking the next car order and we looked at our receipt and she never charged us..I think if she wasn't rushing us and listen to what we were ordering we wouldnt have had this problem..so had to stop at another store to buy drink which it was very inconvenient..probaly wont be back anytime soon..

Flies were on the food. Wet had to cover our food every time we needed to get up. Food and service was good. I would recommend going through the Drive thru. Other than the flies and ants the food was good.

I ordered the #12, got home I received the #10. I immediately called to report this, my name was put in a book so the meal can be replaced. My meal would not be replaced because they charged me for a #10, not the #12 I asked for. I was asked if my order was repeated to me, yes it was, but what was repeated to me did not match what I received nor did it match what was rang up. The woman kept saying the order was repeated, which yes it was, but saying and providing the correct order are 2 different things. I will not be giving LJS anymore of my business. LJS needs to do better, being that there is not really another in Austin. Yes there are others neighboring, but as for Austin no. Good food, but customer service needs improvement. I understand what I was charged for is what I received, but it's not what I ordered and definitely not what was repeated

I will never be back here. There was a worker smoking weed in the front of the building, you can smell it as soon as you get out of your car. I was trying to order food and the shift manager that was taking my order, rolled her eyes and walked away with no explanation. She didn’t even let me finish. Just rude and disrespectful. The manager that just finished handling my money, got on the line and started cooking. She didn’t wash her hands or have on gloves. They need to be retrained or fired.

Ordered 2 fish and shrimp platters, and a root beer float, was missing the shrimp on one order, and didn’t even have the root beer float charged, went back and the manager cussed us out saying she was the niece of the owner, and wasn’t giving out free food.

The manager Wayne was very rude . Than I went it to the place he was more rude if you . If that is how you run your business I will never eat here again. I work hard for my money at heb I will let my customers know about this problem.

I really hate to rate so low. This location was really bad as far as service. Portions were not cooked well at all and small. Mayne they got yelled at by mangers. Just beware.

Took them 4 minutes to take my drive thru order. I sat there and said hello TWICE. No one answered,so I drove to the window. Fish was old, stale, hard. Clam strips were undercooked. I through it all in the trash. I won't be back. Fish was old and stale the visit before. Waste of money.

Slowest LJS I’ve ever been too. Literally spend over 30 minutes waiting for a rice bowl. There wasn’t anyone in front of me in the drive through line. I wouldn’t waste time waiting in line here, especially if you need a quick meal.

So I just went to this LJS because I had a craving for their. Fish...albeit it was 9:50 when I got there and they closed at 10 but that is still 10 min of actually being open to seeve a customer if they came through. Well, my dear good people. That isn't what happened. Instead of being served during their posted operation hours, I was told that they were closed and when I pointed out that they didn't technically close til 10 the rude dude inside actually yelled at me, saying "I said we were closed. We're not taking any orders!" Well, ok. Now I'm actually in the service industry and work as a barber in a pretty elite Barbershop in SW Austin and I would never consider turning a potential customer away. I wouldn't care if it was a min before closing. If you're there before the actual closing time I'm going g to serve you. I really don't know what has happened to the service industry. But maybe this is why a lot of places are becoming extinct. When I was grieing up you could find a LJS in just about every neighborhood and now I only know of this one. It's sad really that the youth of today care about nothing but themselves and have seem to have lost all empathy. Anyways, I don't think I will be returning to this establishment again. I'll go to Popeyes right down the road where they WILL serve you at 9:57 pm and do it with a smile and as far as I'm concerned LJS can just go ahead and go out of business already.

I ordered 10 orders of fried clams, they were over cooked and dryed out. I talked to a guy named Terence over the phone who said he could replace my order the next day. We showed up to get our order replaced and they refused to do it. The manager basically told me to go get screwed and called me a lier. When you pay good money for food you expect it to be right. I would stay far away from this place!!

And they took my order as if they had everything I only ended up getting three fish they didn’t give me no chicken like I ordered and they didn’t get the fries and we even repeated the order two different times plus they repeat it back twice. Unsatisfied they should have let me know what they had bad service false advertisement. I love long John silvers but I will never go back to this location

Horrible experience. Food is bad and old. The management doesn’t believe in providing good service. I asked to be served food that’s fresh for the amount of money that was spent and they told me it would be fresh and still gave me old dried up food. Waste of time of dining in and money. Terrible service! Overcharged and lied about closing time! I ordered 2pc fish meal that comes with 2 sides and hush puppies. I got a large Pepsi. Cashier felisha was rude and did not give me the hush puppies or my second side. Drink price should be included in meal but she charged me an extra $3. Very unprofessional and they did not care.

I went up to this place on March 2nd around 8:50pm to order. And when I got home my whole order was wrong they gave me one fish which I did not ask for and one chicken. I called and spoke with the manager who said that he will write my name down so I can come back to get my correct order. I go up there the next day and the manager there said there was nothing left with my name. So be aware of the night crew they don't care about getting people orders correct.

There usually ok with their cooking but today wasn't one of those days. I ordered a L7 and the batter to my fish was still under cooked, messed up my appetite didn't even want to eat the rest. Also the wait was like 10 minutes.
