Great food I wish they were more options but all the food was delicious they have a chocolate fountain that my little one loved! 💞💞 also the staff is so nice they have ice cream topping (strawberry and chocolate syrup) and sprinkles ❤️ pricing is good 🌸
TIP: Order your drink immediately, then head straight for the food—don't sit around or you're just wasting valuable eating time. There's a certain charm to the fast-paced energy here, and it’s definitely my favorite spot when I’m looking to clear a mountain of food. If you take charge of your own experience, you’ll leave very happy (and very full).
Very good selection and quality food for an amazing price, this is our favorite buffet by far!
i love this place, its not extremely high quality but its cheap and fun. predictable, i like their nigiri alot. not too loud, not too friendly, its great
Went here for the 1st time today. We were very impressed. Very clean restaurant, great tasty food, very friendly and attentive staff. We will be putting this on the list of restraunts to come back to.
Very clean. Good selections. Food was well prepared. Staff was helpful and friendly
This buffet exceeded my expectations- there were enough items where I could find enough variety even while skipping the items that I knew I wouldn’t like. I started with a salad, then moved on to the sushi (which tasted fresh), then to the Chinese fare- I had orange chicken, beef broccoli- both were super tasty AND really enjoyed the green beans. Topped it off with a soft serve with chocolate and sprinkles. Finally, what led me to write this review was just how friendly and welcoming the staff were- not to mention how much care is being given to the buffet itself.
Array of delicious food. Cooked fresh. Hot an sour soup is my favorite. Egg drop soup too. Fresh sushi bar( imitation),salad bar cold, watermelon an other fruits, ice cream, cookies, bathroom so so, music soft, servers speak little English but are asking everything alright an refill drinks. 12.99$ adult lunch mon- Fri. Senior 65+ 1$ off.
If you are looking for a great Asian buffet that won’t break the bank, this is it. For under $10 you get a huge selection of outstanding Asian, American, salad bar, sushi and an awesome dessert selection. I have been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience. The staff here is also extremely attentive and polite. I asked for a fresh batch of salted squid and not only did they cook up one, he came to the table to let me know it was ready. As far as I know, this is the only Asian buffet in the East County, that is if you’re not counting the casino buffet’s which are nearly triple the price. There is plenty of parking as well as ample amount of seating of both tables and booths. The temperature outside was nearly 100* but inside it was nice and cool. If you’re ever in the area, “Steve says“ this is a fantastic meal for your money! They also have takeout, “buffet to go” at a great price. Thank you New Century Buffet - I won’t have to cook tonight or do the dishes!
Excellent price for pretty good food. Nothing special like mala fish or actually soft serve ice cream (was more like tasty frozen milk) but for possibly the lowest price this side of Bakersfield, it's a pretty compelling offer! Very friendly and attentive staff in an easy to access spot off the freeway.
My family and I went here to have a pleasant time here, and this place has its ups and downs, mostly downs due to how the staff behave. Food is outstanding, their chicken was delicious, from teriyaki to sweet n sour, desserts were alright as well. There are some foods like French fries, dumplings, garlic bread, and white rice. Bathrooms do have small problems, mirrors are scratched, however the staff were a big problem to me and my family. As soon as we got here, they had asked how many of us they were and sat us down immediately without paying from the start. The servers there will constantly keep on watching you while you're eating as well, very creepy. When we finished eating, a server came up cleared out our plates, and immediately handed our bill. I gave them a gift card that was acceptable to any restaurant, and they said it declined and they made an excuse that they couldn't rake gift card payments because they're a Chinese-American establishment. One thing I should mention is that when I handed the gift card, plus cash to pay for JUST the bill, the server asks if the cash payment is a tip. So let me ask you, do you know any server who is desperate for a tip? So I ended up paying them in cash. So don't even bother paying with debt/credit, unless they have any system update or whatever. For those who are interested in Chinese food, this wouldn't be a bad place to start off with. But if you want to go to a different buffet, then I'd probably choose somewhere else like Golden Corral. I just don't know how these servers act. But they gotta change the staff around there.
Changed my rating from 3 down to 2 this evening. I was disappointed to see that there is no more steak at dinner… I know we’re changing things up due to COVID -19…but I’m just not a fan of styrofoam products either. I hope to return to find things have improved…or I’ll simply quit dining here. Quality seems to have dropped noticeably.
I went yesterday 9/10/25 and wow food was terrible as it was cold and not to mention the rice was so crispy as like it's been sitting there for a long time and I used to love this place but now it's a whole different story I hope they step their game up
None of the staff don't understand the English language I called ahead cause I was in search of FROG LEGS specifically so I called several locations and ran across this jem of establishment made sure I spoke very clear and slo to the employee that answered the phone DO YOU HAVE FROG LEGS ON THE MENU AND THEY CLEARLY SAID YES AND I ASKED AGAIN YOU HAVE FROG LEGS CORECT yes we do so my girlfriend and I jumped in the car and headed there way I've been craving them for a long time anyways we get there I jump out the car very excited thinking he'll ya FROG LEGS atlas get to the greeter and I say point me the way to the FROG LEGS And she looks at me and says nono FROG LEGS Crab but I could go look like why would you say go look if you didn't have them looking to my surprise and noooo FROG LEGS never call ahead for a specific items they only know yes and no questions in my opinion learn English while you are in AMERICA running a restaurant and understand your custermers desires for food
This is a difficult review to write, as I generally prefer to focus on positive dining experiences. However, in the spirit of constructive feedback, I feel it's important to share my recent visit to Century Buffet, hoping it will be taken as an opportunity for improvement by the owners. Upon entering, the need for renovation is immediately apparent. The restaurant unfortunately carries a pervasive smell, reminiscent of a dirty, wet mop, which significantly detracts from the dining atmosphere. The general cleanliness of the dining area also left much to be desired; both the tables and chairs felt sticky, indicating a need for a thorough deep clean and potentially updated furnishings. My concerns extended to the food preparation and handling. Much of the food on the buffet was cold, and I observed flies actively flying around, particularly in the dessert section. While I appreciate that a staff member promptly removed a biscuit where a fly had landed after I brought it to their attention, I was quite shocked that the surrounding food and pantry items were not also removed or covered, as the fly continued to buzz around the area. This raised significant questions about food safety and hygiene. Furthermore, I was disappointed by the "fake salmon" being presented as real. Labeling a fish product as salmon when it is clearly not, and appears to be colored to mimic the real thing, is misleading to customers. Transparency about ingredients is crucial. On a positive note, the staff members I interacted with were genuinely nice and courteous. However, even their pleasant demeanor couldn't entirely offset the other issues. Additionally, the drinks served were noticeably watered down, which felt like an unnecessary cost-cutting measure given the overall experience. Given these concerns, particularly regarding sanitation and food handling, I would strongly advise against risking a visit to Century Buffet in its current state. I am truly glad I did not bring my visiting family here. I sincerely hope that the management takes these observations to heart and implements significant changes to improve cleanliness, food quality, and overall customer experience. A thorough check of sanitary and food safety practices is urgently needed.
Terrible customer service – don’t waste your money here We spent $70 at New Century Buffet, and the experience ended on a really sour note. As we were getting ready to leave, one of the female servers came over to grab the receipt. She looked at it and told me I needed to sign my name. I politely told her I thought they just required a regular signature. Instead of just explaining, she grabbed the receipt and rudely slid the tiny clipboard across the table back towards me like I had done something wrong on purpose. It was uncalled for, especially after we had just spent a decent amount of money there. Customer service clearly isn’t a priority here, and based on this experience, we won’t be coming back. There are plenty of better places to eat where the staff actually treats you with respect.
