Really good experience, super smooth ambiance....loved the make up of it all, it was very interesting....
I had the pleasure of dining at Moli recently, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, the attention to detail in the interior design was immediately apparent—luxurious, beautifully thought-out, and decadent in every way. The ambiance perfectly sets the tone for what would become an exceptional evening. The service was impeccable. Our server was kind, personable, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. The pacing of the meal was just right, allowing us to savor each dish without feeling rushed or waiting too long. It's rare to find such attentive service that adds so much to the dining experience. Now, onto the food—every dish was executed to perfection. We appreciated that the portions weren’t overwhelming, as many might expect from an Asian restaurant, but instead allowed us to sample a wide variety without feeling too full. This added an element of fun to the meal, letting us explore different flavors and textures without overindulging. The diversity of flavors and the precision in presentation were outstanding, and the kitchen didn’t skimp on the quality or quantity of the meats, which is both respectable and deeply appreciated. Here’s what we ordered, and I think it was the perfect amount for two: Gochujang Napa Cabbage Coconut Braised Short Ribs Garlic Soy Baby Back Ribs Lobster Dumpling Miso Cod Claypot Milk Tea Tiramisu Jasmine Gelato Each dish was a revelation—beautifully balanced and full of vibrant, complementary flavors. The Coconut Braised Short Ribs were tender and rich, while the Miso Cod Claypot was a standout with its delicate, savory profile. The desserts were the perfect finale, particularly the Milk Tea Tiramisu, which was a delightful twist on a classic. Although we’re from Atlanta, where the dining scene is quite competitive, Moli has something special that we haven’t found anywhere else. It’s definitely going to be a go-to for us whenever we’re in town. I can’t wait to return and try more from their impressive menu!
I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday. Oh mannn this place was amazing! First of all, the ambience? It was too beautiful! As soon as you step you’re left wondering how? It’s striking. Every little detail was so well thought out I was obsessed. We got there a bit earlier than our reservation and it was no surprise that they weren’t able to seat us earlier. It was bumpin in there! It is for sure a reservation needed type of spot but there is space to eat at the bar. We ended up waiting at the bar and had a couple of drinks. The bartenders were hilarious and a great set up for the rest of the evening. The drinks were delicious too! We didn’t wait too long before our table was ready. The music played was loud but it was so good I wasn’t even mad. I had Mr Shazam on auto the entire time As you walk in, your eyes are set on the beautiful chandelier centering the space. You’ll be left in a trance. Breathtaking. Anyway, let’s get to the food. And wow can we talk about this food!! Truly elevated takes on your favorite Chinese take-out classics. It was amazing! Every single course left us in complete silence just mmming and moaning away. The service was remarkable. Our waiter was so well-versed on the menu and his suggestions were perfect every single time. We started with the garlic soy ribs, when I tell you I had to tell my boyfriend to stop sucking on the bones! He couldn’t get enough. Then when we were stuck between wok tossed rib eye and the cilantro chili, the waiter says “why not try the rib eye in the cilantro chili instead” and it was the best thing he couldn’t done for us. It was perfect. We also enjoyed the miso cod, it was a well needed addition to add some seafood and play with the menu. We enjoyed this all with the fried rice and girl when I tell you we ordered more rice to go!! Lastly, we ended up getting the doughnuts and they surprised my boyfriend with a little elderberry ice cream cake situation with a candle it was so kind! I will be returning soon! Even if it means siting at the bar to experience this again. 10/10 would recommend everytime.
I was pleasantly surprised by the place and to learn that the cooks are actually Chinese. Our waiter Victor was fenomenal and he made our visit a 5 - Star visit. The ribs were perhaps the best ribs I’ve ever had, had me licking the bones in public. Place was definitely loud to the point that it was difficult to hear at times but that may be because we were seated around multiple parties of 8+
Our first time last night, what an amazing venue. It’s very rare when everything is perfect at a restaurant these days, but that was the case last night, staff, food, wine, all amazing, it started with Patrick the manager showing us to our table, champagne, seem-less service front to back, will definitely be back. Great place for a date our any special occasion. My only complaint, napkins were over starched, rough on my sensitive face, lol.
If you are looking for an elevated dining experience in Greenwich, Moli is an absolute must-visit. This isn't just another Asian fusion spot; it is a masterclass in flavor, presentation, and atmosphere. The Food: Every dish we tried was spectacular. The menu strikes a perfect balance between traditional techniques and creative, modern twists. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and the flavors were bold yet balanced. [Optional: Insert favorite dish here, e.g., The Peking Duck and the Dim Sum selection were highlights of the night.] The Ambience: The interior design is stunning—chic, sophisticated, and vibrant. It manages to feel both upscale and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a high-end date night, a business lunch, or a celebratory dinner with friends. The Service: The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the menu. They provided excellent recommendations and made sure our water glasses were never empty without being intrusive. Final Verdict: Greenwich has many dining options, but Moli sets a new bar for Asian fusion. From the craft cocktails to the final dessert, everything was flawless. We will definitely be returning soon!
I had the privilege of celebrating my 2nd anniversary with my wife at Moli and it was amazing! I am head to get staff to present the upgraded ring I bought for my wife and I wasn’t quite sure how I could have them do it, they told me don’t worry and Ty get knocked out out of the park and totally took care of it! The food was amazing my Waiter was knowledgeable and made sure we were taken care of, can’t wait to go back!
Very pleased with our recent dinner party here: attentive staff, creative and tasty cuisine, and the tofu dish was out of this world! Highly suggested. The only (minor) area that left room for desire was the excess use of cucumber, which often overwhelmed the dish itself, in taste and volume. That said, the dishes were all prepared with care, the sauces were incredible, and I would recommend this place to others looking for a fun night out!
Wow is all I can say. If you are anywhere near Greenwich CT Moli is a must go, must eat, and must drink. The staff is amazing and polished to perfection! The food you will eat are works of art, that taste as beautiful as they are pleasing to the eye. The decor and architecture are creative, warm, and yet contemporary all perfectly woven together. This a destination dining experience that you will not forget and want to do over and over again.
This place was pretty fancy pants. There were a lot of fancy pants customers there too. Mostly people who are probably in real estate or have partners who definitely have Wall Street adjacent jobs. We are NOT fancy pants. We could barely afford any pants. Let alone, fancy ones. My wife and I went there with our friends, but she likes to call them her “high school friends” even though half of them never went to her school and were scattered from all over the US. It also implies that she only hangs out with high school kids. I think we need to have a talk about changing their titles. ANYWAY. The atmosphere is bonkers. It’s like out of a fancy pants movie. Definitely a place you’d bring a hinge date to if you want to impress them and show them how Gatsby you are. The food was very delicious. So delicious that we split around 4-5 appetizers, 4-5 mains and 2 desserts. Did I also mention how clean it is? So clean that when my shrimp fell to the floor, we were able to salvage it by scraping off the crunchy crust to rid of contaminants and down the hatch it went. Still warm too. Yum yum yum yum yum. If you’re wondering about bathrooms, there’s 4. 2 on the main floor and 2 in the basement. Unsure about the top. I was too lazy to walk up there. I have tiny legs and I’m so old. Great spot. Do it. Just. Go. Oh. Word of advice, don’t look at any of the over 50 married/recently divorced women in the eye while waiting for the bathroom. They will engage in a non-conversation with you and you will be left stumped. One of my wife’s “high school friends” just texted and said “this review got me in the mood for some hot steamy Chinese food, but can you please remove my wife from the wonderful moment? It’s really causing us a lot of pain.” So yeah, that picture is gone now, but just imagine someone.
Went here with hubby for his birthday. Truly enjoyed everything. Ordered a half Peking Duck, spicy wontons, Beef Chow Fun(asked to make it spicy) and Baby Bok Choy. Everything was so good, nothing I could have done better. The manager Julio came over to see if everything was good and he was so nice, we actually spoke for 10 minutes! Looking forward to the new drinks and cannot wait to go back!
Moli has long been on my list of must-visit dining establishments, and we were elated to secure a table for dinner on Thursday, 12/21/23. As a quartet of enthusiastic food connoisseurs, our expectations were high, and Moli did not disappoint. Our group opted to share several dishes, among which the Kung Pao Chicken stood out as particularly memorable, showcasing the chef's flair for robust and harmonious flavors. The culinary experience, on the whole, was commendable. A note for prospective diners: the intimate space within Moli necessitates a two-hour dining window per reservation. Should you anticipate arriving later than your booked time, a courtesy call to the restaurant will ensure your table is retained. Be mindful that the end of your reservation marks the close of your dining period, thus punctuality maximizes your enjoyment. Securing a reservation for weekend dining requires forethought due to high demand, so prompt booking is advised once your plans are set. The service was impeccable, contributing to the allure of returning. Moli is unquestionably a place I would frequent for a comforting and satisfying meal when I find myself back in the city.
We really enjoyed the Chinese restaurant. The interior was beautiful, and the staff was attentive and helpful. The food was an added bonus. The only downside was the long wait for a reservation—we could only book a table in three weeks. The service in Connecticut is very different from New York, and in a better way.
Really nice restaurant with excellent service and good food. Came here for dinner on a Sat evening and was surprised by the ambiance - it was very nice with an almost theater-esque appearance. The service was also excellent and the staff was very attentive. We ordered a medley of dishes including the kung pao chicken (recommend!) and the lobster ginger scallion which was also very delicious. Overall, will be back since I live so close but highly recommend if you're in the area!
Was a tasty dinner complimented with excellent Costumers Services and very nice ambience. We enjoy very much Shrimps, Crispy Calamari, Crispy eggplant, dumplings soup, cilantro steak strips...and a couple more dishes, overall was a great culinary experience...100% recommend.
The food was really good I enjoyed. We had the lobster dumplings The beef and broccoli the garlic lobster the vegetable fried rice the chicken wontons and the calamari . Every single individual dish was good but the star of the show was The donuts 10 out of 10
In a class to its own for Authentic Asian restaurants in CT. Only two places it falls short is identifying with Shanghai as a concept. When in Reality it’s more along lines of Similar concepts in Singapore, KL and Bangkok. But understand reasoning given towns intellectual limitations or at least from my experience. Also the dim sum baskets seemed remarkably down market for such an upscale restaurant. Will return again and recommend highly to others.
We came here for my birthday and I would have stayed longer but I didn't feel like I was accommodated and we were seated in a tight spot. The appetizers were amazing! I will for sure give them that & the ambiance is good! I would come here for happy hour or a little drink at the bar. We left and went somewhere else where it felt welcoming & you didn't feel like you were rushed. Even though we did not stay long the appetizer & the veuve clicquot full bottle not half we purchased came to surprisingly cheaper price than what we normally pay elsewhere. Appetizers are great and the ambiance I love but we felt rushed and the spot was tight. You would think if someone's having a birthday they would try to be a bit more accommodating. I will say our server was very nice
Went there for lunch. Not very busy, with one server and a busser. They are very nice but don't know much about services. They spent most time taking care a table of 4 with duck. Took a long time to get my order, bring my food, and check. Not once checked with me. The food is okay, overrated to my opinion.
First time dining here and it was okay. It was also a special occasion so we had high expectations. We made reservations and wrote that it was a special occasion. Our table was not good. First time we've ever experienced that. I don't think the duck was worth it. The bone in pieces are basically inedible. Very dry and chewy except for some very tiny pieces of meat. The breast itself was perfect, but it was served warm and it was cold not long after hitting the table. Not worth the price. We never asked for the second bottle of pellegrino and we ended up paying $24. Calamari was amazing. Probably one of the best we've had. The seafood glass noodles were also great. Loved our lava cake. They gave us a little sparkling with ice cream for free for the occasion. Overall the food wasn't bad, but it's unfortunate the duck was my least favorite part of our order. The presentation could also use improvement. Our server was very attentive and so was the rest of the staff. We would go back, but order differently and we would not go for a special occasion.
While the ambience is beautiful, and the food was delicious I am very disappointed in an oversight. I came here to celebrate my father’s 80th birthday, a very large milestone in life. Before we all sat down, I confirmed with the hostess that we would get a dessert at the end with a candle to make the dinner special. This was supposed to be a surprise for my father. When it came time for a dessert, nothing was brought out and we were handed our check. We didn’t want to make a scene, but I’m very disappointed that we came for a special occasion, confirmed the dessert we were getting, and they merely “forgot” it. They barely apologized for the oversight after I quietly walked over after we had paid.
Disappointing Experience at Moli – Overpriced and Overhyped I found Moli in Connecticut while searching for a nice restaurant to celebrate my mom’s birthday, which happened to be on St. Patrick’s Day. I saw a TikTok video featuring the restaurant, and it looked aesthetically pleasing, upscale, and had excellent reviews. I checked Google, Yelp, and even the TikTok comments—everything seemed promising. Excited, my family and I drove 1 hour and 6 minutes from New Jersey to get there. I even left work early to surprise my mom with a road trip, which she loves, along with good food and a beautiful restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience did not live up to expectations. Ambiance & Service (8/10) Upon arrival, the restaurant looked much smaller than expected from the outside. However, once inside, the decor was impressive. The huge chandelier was one of the reasons I chose this place. The atmosphere was upscale and well-designed. However, the lighting was extremely dim, making it difficult to read the menu. My mom actually had to use her phone flashlight just to see the menu properly, which was frustrating. The service was excellent—attentive, friendly, and professional. However, I was surprised that despite the restaurant being relatively busy, there was only one main waiter taking orders, with others assisting. One important note: reservations require a credit card, and they charge $10 per person if you’re late. You only get a 15-minute grace period before your reservation is canceled. Luckily, we arrived on time and were seated right away. Drinks (10/10) Moli’s drink menu was impressive. The cocktails were well-crafted, delicious, and visually appealing. However, they are pricey—$20 per cocktail and even a simple Coke or ginger ale costs $4. Food (2/10) – The Biggest Disappointment This is where everything fell apart. We ordered four appetizers and a couple of entrées, expecting a fine-dining Chinese cuisine experience. Instead, we got overpriced, bland, and uninspired food. Appetizers: Braised short rib – Tender, but completely unseasoned. Duck rolls – Neither my mom nor I liked these. The taste was so off that my mom actually spit it out. Sweet and sour tofu – One of the only good dishes. Vegetable stir-fried rice – Also delicious, but nothing special. Pork bao buns – Good. Soft, flavorful, and enjoyable. Shrimp & pork dumplings/wontons – Tasty, but they came with a "spicy" sauce that had zero spice. We asked for chili oil, but it was also not spicy at all. Entrées: Grilled fish dish – A complete failure. The two pieces of fish were cooked well but had no seasoning whatsoever. No salt, no pepper—nothing. The sauce it was served with was a tangy yellow sauce that did not complement the fish. To top it off, they placed a pile of raw greens on top that felt completely out of place. Overpriced & Lacking Value For the $250 bill (after removing the duck rolls), the food was not worth it. We still tipped $46 because the service was great, but we left incredibly disappointed. No complimentary bread or soup – For such a high-end restaurant, I was surprised they offered nothing while waiting. Most fine dining places at least offer bread or a small appetizer. No kids’ menu – A huge issue. My nephew had nothing to eat because they only had plain rice—no pizza, no fries, nothing kid-friendly. Dessert (7/10) – One of the few highlights. The dessert was actually delicious, but it wasn't enough to redeem the overall meal. Final Verdict: 3/10 Ambiance & decor: 8/10 (docked a point for the dim lighting) Service: 10/10 Drinks: 10/10 Food: 2/10 Value for money: 1/10 Would I return? Absolutely not. The food was bland, overpriced, and not authentic Chinese cuisine. I regret bringing my mom here for her birthday, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone traveling a long distance. It might be Instagram-worthy, but if the food isn’t good, it’s not worth it.
