It is always a nice experience at Mi Jacalito: you get chips with salsa and a fresh, hot chicken noodle soup with your meal. The tacos are my favorite in Racine-- especially the al pastor tacos! The service is always top!

Outstanding food and service! The atmosphere in the restaurant is so relaxing and calm, even though it’s busy. I really love the soup and the chips and salsa, afterwards my meal is so pleasing! Not to mention the staff are so friendly and welcoming! I highly encourage those who wish to eat authentic Mexican food, this is the place to go to! Also their breakfast is delicious, same with lunch and dinner. Keep up the great service and food!

Very good Mexican food although the salsa and Pico was a bit on the hot side But my tacos were fantastic! The waitress was very nice and accommodating I want 2 Mexican style and 2 American style and she had no trouble getting it for me!

We went for an early breakfast and were the only ones there for a bit. This was my first time dining it. Super cozy! We had chips, salsa and soup to start. I had an horchata. It was a little watery. I ordered the huevos a la mexicana and added bistec. The food was seasoned just right and cooked well. My only complaint would be that the thin bistec was a bit overcooked. 8/7- I ordered esquites (corn in a cup) and I realized there was mold in it after I’d mixed and eaten some. I was so sad! The rest of our food was good though 👍🏽

Really enjoyed this experience. Simple menu. Hot food. Clean restaurant. Super clean bathroom. They need to work on their salsas a bit. But the food was piping hot, and delicious. This is a must try for Mexican food lovers.

Good service. Ok chicken taco, a little on the bland side as the chicken lacked flavor or seasoning. I had a bean tostada and just loved the crispness of the shell. The green salsa is delicious and added a lot to my taco and tostada. I was a little turned off by the $2 extra they charge for more chips n salsa. I'm so used to this being bottomless at most Mexican restaurants.

Since the remodel the prices have went up. I think they are a few bucks higher then many Mexican restaurants in the area. The restaurant looks authentic Mexican colors and decor. They give a good homemade chicken noodle soup for free if you eat in the restaurant. Also free chips and salsa. The food is good but not excellent. The wait staff is friendly and did ask us if we wanted refills.

I order a chicken Nacho and this what I was serve. I will never go back to this place. For it service!

I called to place an order for delivery & I was placed on hold (which I didn’t mind) but I was on hold for over 10 minutes and to top it off I can hear them talking to other customers in the background. Taking their orders & delivering them they food but I couldn’t even place my order. I like the food but they customer service sucks BAD!!!! I’ll never call again!!!!

I came here for lunch today, and I have to start by saying that the staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. I have no idea why several of the women were staring, whispering, and laughing — I would genuinely like to know what was so funny. We were ignored for quite a while before anyone even acknowledged that we were there. Throughout our meal, we had to repeatedly flag down our waitress for basic things like silverware, drink refills, and to-go boxes. There’s no reason guests should have to chase down staff while they sit around on their phones. What made it worse was the clear difference in how customers were treated. It seemed like Hispanic patrons were treated with warmth and attention, while others — including us — were dismissed and ignored. With so many great Mexican restaurants in the area, you’d think this one would value its customers instead of pushing them away. As for the food, the fajitas were disappointing. Whatever sauce was used tasted more like soy or teriyaki — way too salty and completely off from what fajitas should be. Overall, this was a frustrating experience from start to finish. I won’t be returning.

The fajitas tasted like chicken teriyaki. I swear to God they used chicken teriyaki sauce. Service: asked for corn tortillas, was given flour. Had to ask twice for my drink. Looked like a cozy joint, maybe the food and service is better on weekdays I don't know
