I went to the Flea market in July. What a treasure trove of interesting finds! The tents were safely laid out with plenty of room between them. Each vendor had a selection of unusual goods: honey infused bourbon, fresh scent candles, and every kind of gently used interesting items. It was a feast for the eyes and imagination.

Really cool experience and my first-ever drive-in experience. The movie we saw was The Martian, and it was great. The price was better than going to a traditional movie and the experience and sound was SO MUCH BETTER. Not only that but I loved that old-timey feel of the food they sold there. Love everything about this place.

J
Jason Rogers

I love this place! Even though I agree with every negative review here...its the drive in; if having to park next to other cars is going to bother you, having to get there early is going to bother you, white trash bothers you (seriously?), teenagers screwing up where they told you to park is going to bother you, or paying a small fee to bring in a pizza is going to bother you...then maybe you should head on over to the bow-tie. The drive-in is awesome because its the drive-in!

Great place to watch movies. We have a 2 year old and a drive in is the only way my wife and myself could see a movie. Can't beat the price of $8 for two movies or $9.50 for a large soda and medium pop corn. Some nights are a miss with the movie line up but most nights have movies that any family could take their families to see. Love this drive in!!!

M

I have been here four times already and can't wait to go back. A very fun experience to share with friends. Reasonably priced and there is a wide selection of food and snacks at concessions. Best to get there early.

Great place to spend an evening with family. Two first run flicks for less then it cost for one at the sit down theater. I think it would be a great idea to charge every car that enters the drive-in the $5 fee for the food permit that could be exchanged for a $5 purchase at the concession stand. It would help support the drive-in.

Always a great time! At $10 an adult, $5 a kid, plus $5 for the whole car to bring in outside food, it's a STEAL! Where can a family of 4 go to watch TWO new movies for $35?! Malta Drive-In!!! The concession stand is very efficient usually. Their prices are not bad either. They are definitely better than the movie theater! Even better, most of the time at least one of the movies is a new release, the other is usually newer; (within a month or so on average). And with two screens to choose from playing different movies, there's a really good chance that no matter what day you get the urge to head to the Malta Drive-In, there will be something playing you'll want to see!

R
Rick Molinia

Perfect outdoor setting. Low price, clear screen, excellent audio on the radio. Light ambient sound of frogs and birds played to remind you it's not a Lowe's theatre! Great value.

I love this this place I first found out about it I think right before my son was born so about 4 or 5 years ago. I came across it looking for a movie theater near me so I could take my girlfriend on our second date and surprised her with the drive in. We loved it we had our own snacks and drinks. We actually packed our dinner one time and ate our dinner while watching the movie in the car. Lol times like that at places like this you just can't forget them. They provide you with a trash bag just in case. If you didn't bring snacks they have a good selection of snacks food and drinks! The 2 movies for one special is what makes this place great although my girlfriend falls asleep in the second movie everytime it's a good place to bring the family and have that good ol nostalgia feeling.

D
Dylan Thies

The concession stand is pretty good, really the funnel cake is delicious. Pretty much have the top of the box off movies. One screen tends to be kid friendlier. They always have double features, so for the price beats any movie theater in the area.

K
KELE KONA

Why spend $15 for one movie and adding snacks good be almost $100 for a family when you come here you can watch 2 movies and either buy food here or spend $5 for a food permit. So much cheaper and very family friendly. If you come with kids make sure to bring outside toys and they have a space for them to play together .

C

One of my favorite summer spots for over 15 years now. Great deal, inexpensive snack bar with huge selection, fun date spot, very nostalgic with that "classic" drive-in feel/experience. The second screen allows you to mix things up if you time it right. Freedoms you cannot have at a regal cinema, and overall a WAYY more fun and memorable time. Ignore all the haters on here...they all sound like people I wouldn't want there anyways, much less parked near me. If you have a problem paying an extra $3 to bring in a pizza to feed your fat family...go to regal cinema and try bringing in your buckle-buster. OR you could just use your brain and put the thing in your trunk before you go in...moron. This place is a treasure. 5-stars all the way!!

First time going to Malta and I'm not disappointed! A lot of mosquitoes, so make sure you bring your bug spray. They sell bug spray at the concession stand, along with those coil things. Prices are reasonable, I added a picture of the menu. $7 for outside food/beverage. They give you a trash bag so there's no excuse.

C
Catherine Seeley

I've been going to this drive-in since I was a kid. If you're good to them, they're good to you. I want to keep them around, so I am happy to pay the extra $5 if I'm bringing my own food. But they have great food at the snack bar, if you're going to buy food. Compared to a walk-in theatre, you're basically getting two movies (on special occasions, more than that) for the price of one. The drive-in is one of my favorite summer traditions, and there are fewer every year. I hope to support this one for as long as possible!

T

The best movie experience this place is awesome snacks are very fairly priced and there is a insane variety of them the boombox you can buy for $5 is definitely worth it and the sound is great the movie screen itself had surprisingly good quality as well 10/10 will definitely be coming back

, I had a great time, who's my first time going to the drive in by myself. Which you would think is easier, thank going to the movies by yourself. Yeah, all the same, after being bailed on one too many times by a friend and with no one else to ask, I said, screw it, I'll go see End Game alone. In my emotional state, I shared with the staff both when you pay and at the concession stand, and they were so sympathetic and kind and chatted with me and even gave me some free food. Not only that, I had a great view, the lighting was great and the stereo came through perfectly. Would highly recommend

The once a month summer time flea market is a wonderful family outing day. They have rows and rows of vendors with something for everyone! Look them up online and get their summer flea schedule, don't miss this! What a great time we had, we will definitely be going each month! 5 stars PLUS if I could 👍

C
Carmella Oliver

The food was cheaper than the theater and had a nice selection of fair like food. Also if you bring your Owen food you pay a 7$ fee for the whole car. U also get to see 2 movies.

Look forward to our visit every year. One of the favorite parts of our vacation is the drive-in. We don’t even care what’s playing. I grew up going to the drive-in and it is one of my fondest memories. This place is wonderful and like taking a trip back in time. Super friendly staff and reasonably priced.

B
Bridget Collins

Only drive in with two screens in the area. Not buggy and well run - management can provide jump starts, twine to hold your hatchback down, and you can rent boom boxes for listening to the movie outside your car. Last time we were there they were diligent about making sure large vehicles parked in designated areas (next to silver poles on ends of rows) which helps everyone see better.

T
Tanya Lewis

We love it ! It's a classic family tradition I love how clean and nice everything is. You can tell everyone loves what they do. They were also super understanding when I had to leave like 7 minutes and we're very accommodating

A

I love that the lawn area is seperated by rows alternating from grass row to gravel. To show where you can drive and where you can park. The bathrooms have about 10 stalls and porcelain sinks and soap dispensers for each sink. You can buy a $5 permit to bring your own food in. Great family place to go! Definitely going there again even though there are 2 drive ins closer to me than this one!

A
Alex O'Connor

I love this place. I went to the drive in growing up but then my local drive in closed down over a decade ago. Now that i moved to the area, i am so happy that this place exists. Congrats on 75 years! Make sure to bring mosquito repellent!

V
Victor

I haven't been to a drive-in in 2 decades. They tore them all down back west. I hate going to the movies but this place is awesome. I was surprised at how clear the image was, and the radio transmission is strong and clear. I also liked the concession stand, it was pretty good. My only advice is to bring blankets if you're going to sit outside and some mosquito spray too, just in case. They bit my friend but not me, I'm too ugly I guess.

This is their 75th year celebration! We absolutely loved the experience here and had an amazing time. This is a "must do" with the family for sure.

It's a farther drive than one near where we live, but we love getting 3 movies in when offered. We make a full night out of it and somehow manage to stay awake. They keep the grounds clean and well maintained.

Wonderful nostalgia trip. Everything started on time. All the staff were polite and knowledgable. Rich and company at the concession stand were all stars. Prompt, polite, friendly, and in general great at their jobs. Will be back.

Love going here for date night. The flea markets on the weekends are an added bonus this year. The staff is great about keeping the car selction and SUV/Truck section seperate so that everyone can see. The food is good, not gourmet but great quick and tasty. Good place for couples or families

I have been going to this drive-in for years and I have always had a pleasant experience. While there are a few others in the area, the Malta Drive-in is the best of the lot by far. Wishing them every success and many more years of providing tremendous value for our entertainment dollars.

J
Justin Darling

Great drive in! The announcer for the movies could be a tad more pleasant. It's a dated Drive in, but then again I don't think anyone is making any new Drive-ins! Clean bathrooms and concession stand. The concession stands take credit cards which is a plus. They offer a radio for five bucks if you're worried about your car battery dying. I've been with a truck and also with a car. Didn't have trouble seeing the screen either time. Will definitely go back!

E

Love this movie viewing experience. Under the stars outdoors. Old fashioned Summer fun. We call it our camping trip. Enjoy the concession stand and support this fabulous memorable experience. Kids love it. Grown ups too!

D

I have only been here once but; honestly they have a great menu for a concession stand! The nice part is to the menu is online can print it off bring it with you they give you one when you drive in. The concession stand is definitely roomy enough for more than one person and at a time. They probably go through the good ones quick but they do have posters for free which I think is really nice! I also like the fact they have Coke products I'm not a fan of Pepsi! That they were to change that I would probably change locations unless I was desperate to see the movie. I've ditched regal because they switched Pepsi. Really friendly environment. They don't mind if you bring your dogs as long as they're quiet during the movie and on a leash when not in your car. Obviously if there was ever an issue I'm guessing that would change I would hope nobody would ruin it for everybody else. Nice clear pictures for the movies!

R
Reiki Angel

The food is good, the staff is friendly, the food court & rest rooms are always clean. The movie set up is manageable. They usually have some one on to help jump your car if it dies, if they don't have some one they announce that before the movies start.

C

This is one of my favourite things to do while in this area! And what a value for A-list films! There are not many of these left and this one is an AUTHENTIC restoration. Coming here feels like a time warp to a simpler time and truely historical “American” experience (especially while visiting the snack bar, which feels like a time warp to the 70’s). Screen and projector quality are good. Spaces for the vehicles are large and there is a grassy area directly in front of the screens. Sound is through an on-site radio channel broadcast and the cinema rents small boom boxes for $5. Bring lawn chairs and sit outside or turn your car around and lay in the back/bed. Bring mosquito repellent. There is a small fee of $5 per car for those bringing their own drinks/snacks (respect this as this business is not getting rich with their prices and it’s really not that much). Please, please be conscious of your car’s headlights and try not to ruin the experience for everyone by sitting in your car while it’s running with automatic headlights engaged. Don’t litter and respect your neighbours.

Wow, I haven't been to the Malta Drive-In, in a long time. My husband and I did a Living Social coupon and we went last weekend to see a movie. If I hadn't seen the offer on Living Social I'm not so sure we would have gone to the drive-ins. This place is amazing. The bathrooms have been renovated and the snack bar too. Two screens, two movies on each screen. The kid at the booth when we first checked in was friendly and polite. There was another kid going around the property making sure people were parking where they were supposed to. I kind of felt bad for him because some people got quite irritated when they were told they had to move their vehicle. He kept his cool, and never yelled back, and always stayed polite, but that's a tough job... I wouldn't want it. All in all, it was a GREAT night, we had fun, and we will definitely be returning. Get there EARLY to get a good parking spot because the Malta Drive-In gets BUSY!! I'm so glad the new owners are renovating and keeping the property up, because back in the day, it was a dump!!

D

Great experience. Took the whole family so we didn't need a babysitter. Extensive menu and had choices everyone likes. Also, they have a double feature, so if you can make it to late night it is a 2 for 1! We will definitely be back.

J

Having not been to a drive-in theater in many years, I am happy to report that the Malta Drive-In Theatre did not disappoint. I love the nostalgic factor, and the kids had a great time. The snack bar is well stocked, the bathrooms are clean, and it is great that they allow outside food and drink (for a small, reasonable fee). To be able to see two new movies, for the price of one, is a great value. We will definitely come back.

A

Family friendly and great staff! My Favorite Drive-In to bring the family to during the summer! Seeing 2 movies at the price of one isn't bad either. I don't mind paying the extra $5 fee to bring in my own food. Their fried oreos are pretty good too. Never had a bad experience and I've been visiting since I was a kid!

L
Laine Taylor

Excellent experience! The drive-in is the perfect movie going trip for a date or a family. I go with my infant son and husband. We can enjoy the movie while our son snoozes in the back. No worrying about missing the movie if he wakes up and there is really good food to satisfy almost anyone. The emplyees are courteous and helpful. We plan to go regularly throughout the season. Please support to keep this truly American experience alive for our children and grandchildren.

J

Entrance is off the highway, often backs up quite a while. Take care when entering. Otherwise, a great theatre. Good concessions, outside food permits are a fair price, not much to complain about.

M
Melody Kot

Our favorite drive in movie spot. Always friendly and clean. They sell a food permit to allow you to bring your own food which is great for our son who has a severe peanut/tree nut allergy. We rented a boom box radio the last time we were there so we didnt risk the battery dying on the vehicle. The kids love going there.

R
Rob Morganbesser

While I, thanks to my father years ago, have plenty of drive-in experience, this was my wife's first time. We saw, as part of her union, The Fall Guy. The movie was fun and enjoyable. But it was being at the DRIVE-IN that made it great! First, forget the old days when the speaker box hung off your window! In today's drive in, you can tune your car radio, or bring your own (we did) or rent one! The sound is crystal clear! The staff was super friendly and efficient. The snacks are reasonably priced and you can even bring your dog! If you want, you can bring chairs and sit outside your car! We can hardly wait to go back!

I absolutely love Malta drive ins I’ve been there since the pandemic and they have everything set in place to make a very comfortable time for you to do something with your family and not worry you have your face covered going into the concession if you wish to and the restrooms but other than that I’m very pleasant can’t wait to go again

Peaceful check in- was able to start viewing a little after movie start time. No disturbances, nice and dark. Affordable outside food permit

C
Chad Roberts

We've been coming here for a few years now and it's usually a positive experience. Prices are fair for both admission and concessions and there is usually a good selection of movies. The staff are friendly and the service is great as well. I wish they would bring back the Star Wars triple features or more retro features! A great family experience!

A
Andrew Kahn

Barbie and I really enjoyed Retro Thursday this week:Little Shop of Horrors and Rocky Horror Picture Show. Great casts in both, and really funny, too. Where else can you enjoy 2 wonderful old movies for 2 people for $24, and bring in whatever snacks or even real food for only an extra $7 ? Next time we'll try the snack bar food. Used to be good, and prices are very reasonable. We'll be back regularly

A

Nice large place to see movies with 2 screens. It has been open since 1949 and is still doing great. The entrance fee is a great price for a double feature especially when you compare it to seeing a movie in the theater. The price is currently $11 for adults and $6 for ages 11 and under. There is a $7 fee for outside food. They have a concession stand with a variety of food and drinks available. When you go through the entrance they provide you with a sheet of information that has the radio stations listed along with the menu and food prices and they also give you a bag for garbage. There are trash cans at the entrance for you to dump garbage on your way out of the theater. There is a small patch of grass located in front of the screens where you often see kids playing kicking around balls or playing catch or tag before it gets dark. It's a very family friendly place with a great staff. You can also bring pets as long as they remain leashed. I have been going since I was a little kid and don't plan on stopping anytime soon

J

I have been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience. I make a little trip as much as possible throughout the years to come here and experience the nostalgia that it gives here and I will surely not stop anytime soon. Update 10/26/24: still no complaints, have even now brought my 8 month a few times through this season and will be bringing her along with us to come enjoy this place for years to come. 6/23/25: still coming here, still love it and will continue to for years to come

So i know there are not many drive in theaters around but i had to lower my stars for them recently. First, it is always packed on weekends so you NEED to get there very early. Make an evening of it with a frisbee or football and some food and drinks, some lawn chairs and a cooler. Update: I recently changed my review to 5 stars because they changed the way vehicles park for the better!! Now if you have an SUV OR a car they split it down the middle if you are in one of the front rows. So if you have an SUV, you no longer get stuck parking at least 4 rows back. You have the ability to park in the front row if you make it in time. Just park next to a silver pole. I think this was a great change they made. Over all, I would say that If you want a real and quality movie experience then stick with a movie theater. This place is more like an evening our with family or friends and a good movie outdoors. Last time I got the “bring your own food” permit and brought a pizza and wings lol.

We've actually gone twice this year through Harvest Hosts, which accommodates unique stays for RV Campers. The entire family had an absolute blast. If you're looking for something different to do with your RV, this is soooo much fun. The facility is clean and well kept. There's no way to understate this, as you can tell when an owner is passionate about their business when the bathrooms are clean and in working order. The food is reasonably priced and good. They do offer an outside food permit for $7 (5 for Harvest Hosts members) if you're looking to save a little money. We opted for the convenience, as burgers were only $4 if memory serves me correctly. During mosquito season, make sure you pick up the pix at the front end. It's like $2, smells like incense and keeps the nasty little creatures away. This isn't a sales pitch, it's just a reality in upstate NY.... You're in an open field, filled with people surrounded by a forest. It's basically a giant buffet table. Save everyone, including yourself, the howling of a terrible night which should've been a fantastic evening, and spend the $2. On a side note, we went during the Perseid meteor shower while Superman was playing. Incredible addition to the atmosphere.

This is like my one millionth time attending a movie here at Malta Drive-In. If I could afford it I would go every single weekend! Let's start off by giving kudos to the ticket taker and Hostess named Monica. I go on so many different days of the week and she always seems to be there, she is so dedicated and definitely shows her love for her job! She always greets me with a big smile and also her son she brings with her is super duper cute! It wouldn't be a night at the Malta drive-in if I didn't see her face! Even though screen 1 is my favorite screen to visit, screen 2 is also very accommodating! I just wish it wasn't such a treak to get to the bathroom lol. Love all their snacks and they have really great prices! Love looking at all the past memorabilia in the snack bar. Everything is set up very conveniently and everything moves very fast and you don't have to wait around for your food and they have a huge selection. I particularly like the bucket of popcorn and the big dill pickle in a sleeve! Definitely my favorite place to go in the summer! The upkeep of this place is impeccable! You can tell it's owned by people who care:) I love Malta Drive-In!

Step into the past, you won’t regret it! I went to see Deadpool and Wolverine. The sound is excellent, the movie fare ($12 per adult for a double feature) is to be expected. The popcorn is great. The atmosphere can’t be beat.

Something about a drive-in movie just feels so nostalgic and this place does it better than anyone. Love the multiple screens so you can see kid movies on one and more PG-13/R selections on the other. The snack bar is the best, from Popcorn and cheese burgers to deep fried Oreos they have it all. Above all that though they do everything with a smile, a real sense of community when you’re there. I would love to see some classic movie nights every once in awhile. Maybe like a Star Wars night or something to that nature. But every time I drive out I always think to myself “I can’t wait to come back!”

Great drive in! The movie was meh but it was still a fun experience. The snack bar has a great selection of candy and food. They have 2 large screens and you are able to see the movie well. Highly recommended.

I had a great time here, this drive in has 2 screens. Good prices for the tickets, the atmosphere was good. Snack bar has a huge selection of food, popcorn, burgers, pizza, ice cream, candy and drinks. The food portions were way smaller than expected. The large popcorn is about the size of a medium. Bathrooms were very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.

AN AMAZING PLACE! The family running this theater are wonderful people and go out of there way to make the drive in a great experience. If you arrive a little early you get sunsets behind screen 1 just before the show too!!

I actually went to go to the first flea market they had this year and it was great! Definitely plan on returning at least once before the summer is over (they have it one Saturday a month)

$10 for 12 y/o and over; $5 for 12 y/o and under. Brimg your own food because theirs wasn't the best. $5 for radio (they hold your license as a deposit until you return the radio) We went on a cold night, so no bugs were out.

M
Michael Frank

Not here for movies but for the flea market once a month during the summer with lots of vendors selling mostly flea market fair like unwanted home goods. Plenty of parking and the flea market concession stand has plenty of food offerings. They do charge $3 or car load to get in.

This was my first drive in experience and it was an absolute blast! Tips and tricks for those like me: bring a blanket or a hoodie if you are going to be outside, bring some gentle bug spray (mosquitos everywhere!), Bring some lawn chairs and get there at least 45 minutes early for the good spots! If you want to hear better, bring a FM radio, and have a blast too!

L
Lorie Cocchi

It was great to reminisce of the old days, and watching movies under the stars. But we watched three movies for $10 on triple feature! That's a great deal! The snack bar was a little pricey but so are the theaters. Considering we got such a deal on the movies it wasn't bad at all. Also you can bring in outside food for only a $5 fee per vehicle. Not super busy so it was more relaxed than a crowded theater. Friendly staff, and overall great experience

N
Nathan June

I like the atmosphere & the old time feel. Best thing to do is to pay the $5 fee so you can bring in your own snack since the snack bar food is limited. They do offer CD players you can rent as well so that you don't have to have your cars battery running the whole time

L
L Jones

Great going to the drive ins. I'm happy my kids get to experience doing that . Don't think it's right that they change you if you bring food in . It's my car . Wish they still had the old speakers . Don't forget bug spray and radio . All and all great night out with kids for good price . Watch for groupon deals

Two movies for under $10 and you're able to relax in your car - I don't know why these aren't more popular. The venue is well maintained - even if it feels a bit dated (but that's part of the charm). The screens are large and the radio works great for audio. I can't recommend this enough!

Friendly staff, decent food, clean bathrooms. Lots are a little swampy, so if you're sitting outside your car in camp chairs, you'll have to pick your spot carefully.

Always a good time. Just wish people had more Drive In theater etiquette. The management seems to be cracking down on making it an enjoyable experience.

Love the scene and classic vibes to the place. A little dingy, but it actually gives it more real and authentic aesthetics

Not many of these places are left in America, so soak it up while you can. This place is great and worth going, especially with the family. Concessions are a staple and if you like good old fashion junk food then this is the place for you. If you do deside to go to the drive-in leave time to get in. I'd suggest getting there 45 min.- 1hr ahead of time. Enjoy! .

The Screens are great! The snack bar is great! The bathrooms are remodeled and nice. :) Leave your food & dunks home. Very strict charge for outside food policy. They have a delicious smack bar with ice cream treats! Enjoy! Bring mosquito repellent. :(

Crazy busy, we got there an hour early in hopes of getting a good spot, apparently EVERYONE else had the same idea, it was PACKED! Did end up getting a decent spot but they were few and far between. Snack line was crazy long but it was moving. Bathrooms, many of the toilets didn't seem to flush but that line kept moving too. Overall good experience. Very cool that they're were 2 screens...

Decent drive in movie theater. Definitely want to get there an hour early to get the best parking. Bring a blanket/chairs to hang out outside your vehicle if you’d like, and bring bug spray. The concession stand had great food, even though it’s overpriced like all drive ins. Definitely recommend the funnel cake and pretzels with cheese!

Started off raining on our way but cleared up by the time we got to the theater. Not many cars because of the weather earlier, worked out to our advantage. Popcorn was good at reasonable price. Just over $3 for a good size bag. Larger bucket is around $5. $5 permit is required if you choose to bring your own food. Adult tickets are a good price $10. Children are $5. Over all a good value

There were several cars in my vicinity that had their cars running and did not turn off their parking lights (or cover them) throughout the entire movie. This was my first drive-in experience and I was disappointed because of this. I don't know why people can't follow the rules. We all paid. I know it isn't Malta's fault but it is still an unfortunate distraction. Maybe they could enforce the rules better. I am only visiting the area.

SO MUCH FUN!! Low key food. The radio sound system car option was so easy and being from NYC, this was a novelty.

Been here many times to see movies. Great staff and food too.

Been going since I was a kid. Only complaint would be they should enforce the no taillights rule beyond just stating it at the start. Just takes one car to ruin the experience.

Fantastic price for 2 movies, but they need to spray for bugs. My son had to get medicine directly after we left the drive in because his hands was literally swollen from the bites. I had over 30 bites on one leg alone. It's hard to sit in a car with the smell of bug spray, so they need to use it outside.

They need to do a better job at maintaining the height of tailgates. Some drive ins only allow you to have them the same height as the roof of your car, so it doesn't interfere with other guest. Also have large pickups park in the back row so those in sedans can get there at a reasonable time to get a good spot to watch the movie, only to have them park in front of you and can't see the screen.

The good: Food was pretty tasty, and reasonably priced. Ticket price is pretty low. The bad: Don't bother paying to rent a radio. They don't get cleaned in between uses (gross), and (more importantly) it was beyond useless. And when I returned it at the end of the movie and mentioned that, they didn't offer a refund. So, thanks for effectively stealing my cash, there. Also, the movie screen felt pretty small.

The bathrooms are horrendous and dated. The fact they charge $7 to bring in your own food and have low quality food to buy is laughable. But the two screens is nice.

Overall it's a nice place to catch a movie, but we've been 3 times since they've opened in late April - (Sinners, Thunderbolts, and Final Destination were the 3 movies we came for), and every time the fountain drinks have a very sour / nasty taste to them. Either the ice machine is unclean or the nozzles are, but it is basically putrid. Really hoping they fix that because it's a bit concerning!

We love the drive in, its a fun and inexpensive activity. The workers at the ticket booth were friendly, bathrooms were clean, and the concession stand menu is extensive. I think it’s strange that they charge $5 for a food permit, that feels like a donation and the other drive ins i’ve been to don’t do that. No one said anything about it when we got there though. We went to see Harry Potter on Saturday the 11th. When everyone was settling in before the movie started, a worker walked through and asked people to turn off their lights. But during the actual movie- where were the workers? One car in front of us was running the entire time- with their lights on (front and back). The car right in front of the screen had their backlights flickering the ENTIRE movie 😭 as if they were repeatedly stepping on the brakes (thank you to the car behind them for flashing them, essentially begging them to stop). I feel bad leaving 3 stars, but why are the workers not asking these people to turn their lights off? I tried hard to ignore it, but it was super distracting and would put me off from coming back.

Super rude young girl at the “box office” Ridiculous $5 fee to bring your own food and drinks ( we have allergies and brought our own food to be penalized for it ?), girl at the box office said “ that’s how we make all our money!” WITH people WALKING around checking cars ? Give me a break Not allowed to put your kids on the roof ? weird .. The screen is Way to low for a drive in, everyone’s hatches we’re in view. Not a fan and probably won’t be back, we’ll stay true to being a Jericho drive in family, more family oriented.

Took my two grandchildren to see Jurassic Park, during the entire movie there were people smoking pot, literally had to keep the car windows closed to prevent my grandchildren from being subjected to this. I would think that they would have employees patrolling the lot occasionally to prevent this. There were people continuously moving their vehicles during the movies to better there access to the movie. This should have been done prior to the start of the movie. Several people using fowl language. I don’t think that it allowed for a good environment for children. Very sad.

Was super excited to go back to the drive in but was sadly let down by this place. First there where a few street lights around the screen that really ruined the viewing experience. But the biggest issue was the people at concessions going over the radio, interrupting the movie!! The first time was at the end of Shang-Chi and completely ruined the set up for the next movies. Then they did it again in the MIDDLE OF THE SECOND MOVIE TWICE. No one cares about the concession stand closing. Stop interrupting the reason we are there.

My family of three made a night to go to the drive-ins. Malta Theatre was doing a throwback Thursday. They were showing "The Goonies". We were so excited because this was a special occasion. It was our daughters first drive-in movie EVER. We arrived promptly at 7. Set up our car and visited the consession booth. So cool. We then got in our car and waited for the show. We got the alert the show was about to begin at approximately 8:05. We watched the advertisements, preview and the great vintage clips (dancing hotdogs have always been my favorite). Then the screen went black. It then came back on and we watched yet another round of advertisements, previews and vintage clips. People began honking and going to the booth to say something was wrong. We just sat waiting about 30 minutes of continuing to watch the clips. The manager finally updated us that there was indeed a problem. The show would begin shortly. About ten minutes later we are told it would play right after the next preview. It did not. We then got told the owner was on the way and that the movie was not in the play list with sincere apologies. We waited for the owner to arrive and after another 10 minutes we were told the movie never took to the hard drive or something to that affect. They said they would play the second feature "The Gremlins". So we packed up our car along with 90% of the other patrons and got a refund. This experience was disappointing for us as a family and our little girl for her very first drive-in experience. We think the wait time of being updated was lengthy. Especially the original update that there was "indeed a problem", waited over an hour from the original start time because the manager kept saying soon. Arrived at 7 and left at 9:30 to not see the movie we were mainly there to see. Very sad but we did receive our money back. Staff overall was kind.

I don’t know why they don’t direct parking anymore.. there are poles designed to fit two vehicles if the drive-in is packed and that really helps keep everything organized so everyone that came has a place to view the movie relatively close to the screen. That unfortunately falls apart the second you let people park wherever and don’t direct them into a spot. Tons of jerks parked directly in the middle of these poles to make sure no one could park next to them. Enough of them do it and now you have to park far away, partially ruining the experience. Go back to directly guiding people into spots.

Really disappointed because something was wrong with there projector tonight, all the darks scenes of the movie were hardly visible. We watched two scary movies so there were a lot of dark scenes where we literally just couldn’t see anything that was happening and there was no one to complain to about it. Not sure if they just needed to adjust the contrast settings or they need a new projector all together but either way I felt like we wasted money. I would consider going again if they fixed that issue 🤷🏼‍♀️

The staff and food are great. But having people with their lights running the entire time ruins the experience. I hope you will fix this soon or have regular checks throughout the movie. I would really like to keep coming .

We used to love coming here. We came in time this time again and got a great spot, just to be told right before the movie started that we were parked next to a red pole and we should move. Only cars are aloud to park next to red poles. We drive a Honda CRV which is considered a Passenger vehicle and not a SUV. We ended up getting a parking spot all the way in the back. We don't know if we will return again.

Asides from the tickets prices being way more expensive then they formerly were (used to be per car) and now per person, the staff there are very rude. The ticket lady never told us there were parking restrictions on suvs got there last night and was told to move only AFTER I parked and my friends and I have gotten out of my car. Then I move to a silver pole like he asked, and I’m trying to put my seats down and settle in only to have the kid come running over not even 5 minutes later to berate me about my hatch being too high and that my inner lights to my car we’re still on which they had every right to be because the movie hadn’t even started. Everyone else’s hatch was open and I paid my money just like everyone else did, maybe the car behind me should of been told to move if they didn’t like it. For the added amount of ticket prices and then the harassment of the staff, I don’t know if I would return. Easier and more enjoyable just to go to the regular movies.

$7.00 to bring food in!!! And if you don't want to pay the "food tax" they search your car for contraband!! Absolutely no way am I ever going to the Malta Drive In again. The Jericho Drive In is only 20 minutes further away and is much nicer. Super family oriented, same movies, same price, no "food tax"!!

My wife and I pre-bought tickets for the zombie night on June 21st, got a babysitter, drove an hour, got there 10 mins early and then proceeded to creep down the shoulder of a four lane highway in a mile long line of cars for almost an hr and a half. By the time we got close the whole first movie was over so we decided to leave, as we'd seen a dozen other cars do over the past hr. I left a voice message requesting a refund and haven't heard a word. I'm livid.

Was told I had to turn my car's engine off because my exhaust was bothering people. My car is not modified and has no exhaust leaks. It was 80+ degrees and humid and I had my 4 year old son with me so I wanted to have my ac on and enjoy a the movie and listen with my cars speakers without fear of my battery dying and being stranded. If you had a performance vehicle I recommend you do not waste your money here as people will complain. I will not be going back to the Malta Drive ins
