We went here for our anniversary dinner and we both had an amazing time! We made a reservation in advance and were immediately seated even though we arrived 10 minutes early. We were seated in the mezzanine near the fireplace. The food and drinks were all fantastic! We had six oysters and an order of beef tartare as appetizers, and both were very well presented and tasted delicious. For the main, I had the Grilled Liberty Delight Bone-In Pork chop, and she had the House-made Tagliatelle Pasta with the Hanger Steak. Both dishes were unbelievably amazing and so well cooked! Everything was so flavorful. The desserts were both tasty and we enjoyed sharing them! The atmosphere and staff were all so pleasant, and at the end of the meal we were approached by the manager and had a delightful discussion about the meal and the other dining adventures they had to offer. We have told all of our friends about the experience, and we will definitely be going back!

We've been here twice and both times, everything was superb - - from start to finish. Lobster Rangoons were perfectly fried and paired with a delicious grapefruit dipping sauce. Hubby ordered the Hanger Steak Frites which came with a generous serving of fries and garlicky greens. For my entrée, I partnered the Thai Oyster Crab Soup with the Wood Oven Mushroom Flat Bread (to which I added pepperoni). The Soup was heaven in a bowl!! Balancing well rounded creaminess and spice with perfect amount of oysters, crabmeat and pork belly, it was simply amazing!! We finished our evening with the Winter Pavlova and Banana Cake. Their names do not give justice to their deliciousness and presentation. Just know that both plates were wiped clean. - Kudos to Kai who provided us excellent service throughout our evening. Their menu changes regularly. This means that we need to go back asap so hubby and I could each order the soup before it disappears!

Celebrated my daughter's birthday at Gunther & Co after reading the phenomenal reviews. Had oyster samplers, Brussels sprouts app, Yuzu vodka cocktail, scallops entree, and the table sampled the array of amazing desserts. Service was fantastic, and everything we tasted was sensational. The cocktail was light and lovely, the pickle brine oysters were my personal favorite, the Thai-inspired brussels - 🤌👌, the scallops melted in my mouth, and just whooooooaaaa on those DESSERTS... Well done, G&Co! It was an experience to remember!

We celebrated my SIL's birthday here and it was great! The decor inside was very nice and modern. We had excellent service and the food was very good. First off, they do have Coca-Cola which is great because they didn't mention that on the website. We did get the wood fired olives appetizer and TBH, I was a bit disappointed. They still had the pits--which was OK, but many of them had really shrunken during the cooking process. Just not was I was expecting and wouldn't get again--see pic. I got the mushroom pizza with pepperoni and rosemary. It was delicious! There were a few different types of mushrooms and LOVE the little cup pepperonis it came with. I requested no caramelized shallots and they graciously left them off, so I was pleased. I'd definitely get this pizza again! We also had the charcuterie board appetizer and it was also tasty! Great selection and enough for 2-3 people to share. See the pics for all that we got. Spring rolls, oysters, fries, chicken sandwhich and salad, tagliatelle, halibut, steak frites, apple pear salad and my pizza!! Everyone enjoyed their meals. The restroom was very clean and it is 4 individual walled in stalls inside of a big room that is all genders. There was lots of seating and also a bar where you could sit. Parking was fine too.

Have visited here many times, most recently for their New Year's Eve dinner. Food is phenomenal. Service is great. Support small, local businesses!

Definitely 5 stars! The ambience is perfect. What was previous a brewery has become a very nice restaurant, with industrial and modern architecture. The food was spectacular. We had octopus as an appetizer and for mainly dish, duct and short rib with brown risoto. We went there for my husband’s birthday celebration. When making my reservation, I kindly asked if they could provide a desert with candles and “happy birthday” on it, and they did it as a surprise. Highly recommend!

Dinner at Gunther’s was amazing. We shared a few appetizers and each did not disappoint. The space was a revitalized industrial space (brewery) with beautiful brick and metal accents throughout. The area was well-lit and open. Bathrooms were clean. Our server was attentive and descriptive when talking through different dishes. We started with the baked oysters, grilled octopus, crispy pork belly, and Brussels sprouts. I had the duck breast for the entree and it was perfectly cooked, soft, and flavorful. For dessert we shared the pumpkin custard and some spice bread. Cocktails were balanced, just had the old fashioned like drink myself. Overall, definitely recommend a visit and will come back in the future!

The eclectic take on seafood and the variety of offerings on this menu are like no other. From the raw bar to the full menu this is the place for everyone just don't tell the tourist. The atmosphere matches the menu, plenty of variety in the vibe you want, fun Happy Hour crowd with music or romantic dinner. The also have a lifted room for large private gatherings.

This was my first time here. The restaurant looks so cool inside, great atmosphere, great service and great food. I was here on Christmas Eve so they had the standard menu and a holiday one. The food to my surprise was delicious. 4 of us including 3 children and everyone enjoyed their food. They even offer a steak on the kids menu. I had the hanger steak with fries and greens. Delicious! The pork chop and brussels sprouts was to die for. The eggnog was great, good selection of drinks, etc. it’s a little pricey but the food was fine dining. I will return.

The pork chop was out of this world!! Lick my plate clean level sauce work. A member of our party is gluten free so for a 5$ upcharge we could add crudité to the hummus plate (and the flatbread for the rest of us was magnificent). I was expecting a few carrots and celery but the plate of raw veggies was a beautiful variety. That was a lovely option for all of us! The server was very knowledgeable about the GF and cross contamination aspects of the menu so we appreciated that greatly. Also the Basque cheesecake was so yummy!! I don't live in this part of the country but this was "drive all night back to Baltimore" good.

I came here with a group (6) for dinner on a Sunday. All of us enjoyed our food - rolls, duck breast (pictured), roasted chicken, fried chicken, tagliatelle, eggplant, chicken sandwich, sherbet and sorbet, cheesecake, and key lime tart (pictured). The service was impeccable, the music playlist was relaxing, and restaurant was a beautiful space. I will definitely be back.

First visit to Gunther and it won't be the last. Parking was a little tricky on a Saturday, but we found a spot down the street a short walk from the restaurant. The restaurant is huge, and I love the historic vibe. Could be a great spot for a celebration or a girls night. Looks like they also have some event space. I made a reservation and unknowingly booked their outdoor patio, in winter. They were kind enough to call and seat us at the chefs counter, overlooking the kitchen instead. The seats were comfy and we were able to watch the chefs as they prepared food. Great menu with lots of options. I had the scallops and they were perfectly cooked. The carrot ginger puree was a nice surprising balance to the plate. We also ordered the buttered bread (SO GOOD), ceasar salad, potato leek soup, and chocolate bomb dessert.

Bday dinner ( 7/23/2025 -5:15 pm)Our host was kind and so very charming and attentive. We sat in the beautiful outside area. The ambiance was WONDERFUL. There is a bar outside also; they have a happy hour. The food and drinks were great. There is parking near by at no cost. I will return to Gunthers!

Went here for a business dinner and I must say it is a gem in Baltimore in its non existent food scene. This place is really a great set up with ambiance and character. The staff is super professional and explains everything proper. They are attentive and also great to talk with. The food comes out nicely plated and with great flavor packed in. I will definitely come back.

This place is awesome. Massive bar with lots of room and different areas with different views to sit. I got two appetizers, the charred octopus and the short rib. Both were amazing, and I don’t tend to go for short rib or like it because of the fat content but it was so crispy and flavorful here. I got the steak frites for an entree and the steak was so good by itself, it needed no A1, just incredible. Ended the night with a dessert cocktail called the dirty little coconut latte, it was super thick but also amazing. Overall would love to come back here again, it was worth every penny.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this spot! Only my second time dining here but even better than the first time. Everything was delicious. My husband and I bopped around the menu and had the steamed dumplings, tahini Caesar salad, pork chops, roasted chicken, a variety of cocktails, and ended with the frozen coffee tart. The dumpling pastry had a great texture and the sauce that came with the dumplings really made the dish shine. The salad was a great spin on a Caesar with the lemony dressing being a refreshing change and the pickled red onion complimenting the citrus. My husband's chicken was juicy, melt in your mouth, the carrots that came with it were a lil undercooked though. My pork chop was amazing and a larger portion than I was expecting. I did not read the entree description fully because I wasn't expecting the sweetness of the maple glaze and crispy smashed sweet potatoes that came with it. Completely glazed (haha) over the sweet descriptors but I'm a fan of savory and sweet so I loved every bite. It also came with brussel sprouts with bacon bits. Usually not a fan of bacon and my brussel sprouts but this bacon was a perfect texture, flavor, and thickness. Cocktails were complex and well crafted throughout the meal. I'm usually not a dessert person but the tart was calling to me. I'm glad I got it! The chocolatey richness of the devil's food cake bottom, with the warm fluffy sweet toasted meringue, was brought together by the cold creamy coffee custard with its deep almost bitter coffee flavor holding you back from a sugar overload. It was so good! I enjoyed every bit from start to finish.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!!!! Love the vibe, love that the employees who work there are taken care of, love the drinks, and LOVE THE FOOD. The food is worth every penny, and it isn’t even as expensive as some places I’ve eaten where the food is sub par. I was blown away with how delicious everything was. I think the kitchen is creating magic. This was one of the best places I’ve eaten at.. can’t WAIT to go back! Must order: octopus and cod and frozen strawberry tarte. If these are available. They only serve food that’s in season, but anything you get will blow your mind:). I have no affiliation with this place.. just MUST SHARE!!!! It’s the perfect date night :).

We had a great brunch with my family. The food and the service was great. We had the burger, shakshouka, and the cheese flatbread. They were all super tasty. I especially enjoyed the spicy maple sauce on top of the flat bread, there is certainly a chef touch. The service was also so nice, we celebrated my father’s birthday and they were so kind to prepare a special dessert for us.

Tried this place on a whim for brunch and couldn't have been happier. The fun drink names were great(and tasty!). I recommend the Squirlie Dan and the Macha Man Randy Savage. We ate outside on the quaint patio which is quietly tucked away in a downtown atmosphere. Now, onto the food. Kiddo got a flatbread which we thought was going to be...single serve, small...but no. Screw that, it was a whole freaking pizza. There is an option to add sausage but they opted not to. Meanwhile, the wife got the salmon powerhouse. Each added hashbrowns to their breakfast while i added the best damn cheesy grits of my life...to my breakfast skillet. We weren't disappointed. Personally I wanted my kids dessert(chocolate pavé) however mine was very delectable. We will definitely be heading back!

I was first introduced to Gunther & Co. When photographing a friend’s wedding, and I absolutely fell in love. I’ve been back for routine dinners now more times than I can count. The staff is so friendly and warm. This family-run business is a labor of love, and it shows. The food is fresh and elevated. Their menu rotates routinely, and it just gets better and better!

We had a large dinner party at Gunther and Co and the consensus of the group was that we would all be back. The food was so delicious! Even the simple dishes were done so well. We ordered the pork chop and the halibut, but everyone got something different. The apps and cocktails were also well crafted and delicious. And our server took our app and dinner orders at the same time to make sure everything came out in a timely manner. There was a never a moment where we were wondering where the food was. She was knowledgeable about the dishes and the drinks and was so kind. This place was immaculate from start to finish and we can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic food. You really need to try this place out. Their flat bread is amazing (pizza - many amazing combinations). Spicy shrimp pad thai was very good. Great portion and flavors. Every dish served looked delicious. Would definitely eat there again. Dessert is too good but make sure not to count calories :)

We had a WONDERFUL experience here for Sunday brunch. The cocktails, the server, and the food were all fantastic! Our pre-entrée dishes were the Smoked Salmon Powerhouse, the Lemon-Ricotta Doughnut Holes, and the Whole Milk Burrata. Each item was beautifully plated, super fresh, and incredibly flavorful. The Burrata shined a little brighter than the other 2 dishes but they were all delicious! For entrées we throughly enjoyed and DEVOURED the Crispy Duck Leg Confit, Berry French Toast, The Benedict 2022, and The Brunch Burger. The duck leg was perfectly crispy on the outside while being juicy and tender on the inside...literally falling off the bone. The Eggs Benedict hit a home run on the perfectly cooked poached eggs and flakey biscuits...a little more seasoning needing to be added to the hollandaise. The fork cut right through the french toast like butter... the berries and dulce whipped ricotta were so amazing no wonder there's no syrup needed! The French Toast and Duck leg were the stand outs of the main course. We were seated quickly with having our reservation. Our server was great... friendly and attentive! We can't wait to come back and try dinner! 🤤 Update: 8/27/22 We went for dinner and ordered 3 appetizers, 4 entrées, and 3 desserts. This visit was a big let down. The only decent dish was the lobster roll w/ fries, which was on special that evening. The grilled oysters, pork belly, spring rolls, and the soft shell crab entree were disappointing. The pork belly was over cooked and extremely dry and the spring rolls had hardly any filling and only tasted like something if you smothered them in the dipping sauce. The soft shell crab entrées was basically unedible. One crab tasted rotten and the dish overall lacked any flavor profiles other than funky old bay. The desserts were okay, but nothing special. I can't recommend dinner here based off this experience. I expected much more for a $400 3 person dinner. Hopefully they were just having an off night 🤷‍♀️.

Met my friends for a girls night dinner. I love the vibes with the dim lighting, exposed brick, and the plant wall along the stairs. The brussel sprouts appetizer was amazing and a great size to share. I wish they had a real menu though, I hate using my phone and having to flip between 5 tabs to see the whole menu and coordinate who is getting which dish to share.

I come to Gunther & Co every time I'm in Baltimore; regularly for 4 years. I have always had an enthusiastically wonderful experience. The service is top notch. The drinks are well executed. Oysters are super fresh. The menu changes with the seasons but the mainstay and star of the show is their Thai Seafood Hotpot provided you are okay with some heat! Thanks Team for this long running labor of love!

Gunther & Co. is consistently fantastic from the top to bottom. I’ve dined in a few times during brunch and enjoyed the French toast, breakfast pizza, and cocktails (also pictured & equally great is the shrimp and grits) The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable and the food is amazing every time. Highly recommended for brunch on the patio or inside the gorgeous restaurant. Looking forward to trying the dinner menu! (Photos from Summer 2022)

This is my second time going to Gunther & Co, and this time, it was for a bridal shower. The place is beautiful, the food delicious and the staff very friendly. We had a few entree choices to pick from, so a friend and I split the shrimp and grits and the blueberry French toast meals. Both so yum. We also had a basket of fresh made blueberry lemon bread, donut holes, and mini biscuits ... all three were good, but the biscuits were delicious. It's definitely a great place to go.

Super cool place of dinner or drinks. Took some people from work for happy hour and some food. Oysters excellent, pork dumplings very good and amazing cocktails. Great outdoor patio and bar, excellent service. The area is really nice as well. Entrees look amazing, on the higher end price-wise but totally worth it.

Unhesitatingly, one of the best restaurants we have been to in Baltimore. Excellent and tasty dishes. Service was top class. Every dish was delivered without a big wait. We were seated next to the kitchen so we would not see the upper level. Ambience was good and wish I could see the upper level as well. Recommend this place very highly. We ordered oven roasted olives, Halibut crudo, wood oven charred octopus, duck confit spring rolls, Tagliatelle Pasta, Pan roasted rock fish, thai seafood hot pot and whipped coffee pannacotta and chifon cake for desserts. A tiny room for improvement probably is that the portions could be a bit larger for the prices charged, but that is a personal opinion. We will be back at this place again soon.

Finally made my way over here and I’m glad I did. I went in for brunch and got the Fried Oyster tacos. They were great. If you’re on the hungrier side I’d order an appetizer also. Or just aim for a larger dish. We also got the Shuckshuka with Za’Tar bread and it was also fantastic. I also ordered the Pear Pressure cocktail, tasted like a fall drink and went down super smooth for those that don’t like dry drinks, which I don’t. It’s deceiving because it packs a punch & I loved it. Since I was still hungry I ordered the pastry basket since we weren’t sure which of those to get individually. It came with a cherry jam and some super creamy whipped butter. The lemon ricotta donuts, banana bread and biscuit were wonderful. They were moist and not too sweet and all paired with the butter and jam. I will return! I’ve also done the Mother’s Day brunch with everyone loved and Nancy was amazing!

Super cute and happening spot! They have so many oysters on hand and it was clearly very popular as the guy was shucking the whole time we were there! Great and different cocktails for their brunch menu, just very original flavors. The brunch itself was so delicious, I had a Salmon powerhouse thing and it was light but super filling. The biscuit is also amazing! The ambiance was very lively and energetic. Just a fun place to be on a Sunday morning. Also I heard their precovid happy hour deals were unbeatable!

We went to Gunther & Co back in the fall (I just forgot to write a review), but it was amazing. We sat in the garden section in the back and they had the heaters going which made the ambiance extremely comfortable. I was able to sit with a small jacket and not think about the chill again. The food was to die for. We decided to split a few items so we could try more. The highlight for me was the cold smores. I know it was chilly out, but how can you resist! Each food was distinctly unique, fresh, and delicious. The staff was super friendly and more than happy to give us suggestions on their likes. The parking situation isn't bad since it is next to a small shopping center. We were able to park close with no issues.

I had the Thai Hot Pot and husband had the Pork Chop. Delicious! My husband said he just had the perfect meal. Truly appreciate the mocktail menu and the orange spice olive oil cake with a latte rounded out my superb dinner. Husband had the chocolate pave with a banana cognac. We sat at the bar and service was excellent. The pace was perfect. Definitely coming back!

quick brunch on a saturday without reservations (not a problem) eggs benedict was perfect - i recommend. we also tried the breakfast flatbread w/ sausage which was also delicious and satisfying. the donuts are closer to muchkin sized - i could have eaten a dozen. pleasantly surprised at the affordability to quality of food here. skip the chain restaurants in the area and try this one, its a way better deal.

Great spot in Canton for brunch or dinner. The atmosphere is very pretty and there’s free parking out front. The lemon ricotta donuts and shrimp and grits were both very good!

10/10 no complaints. We made a last minute reservation for our anniversary - very easy to do on Open Table. The service we received from the moment we walked in the door was fantastic. Everyone was friendly, professional, and not overbearing at all - best of all, our waitress answered all of our questions with no upselling! The food was fantastic. We had the lobster Rangoon, steak frites, and tagliatelle. All were cooked to perfection. They presented us with a small dessert for our anniversary and it was lovely. Overall an incredible experience. If you haven't been, please go. You won't be disappointed.

One of the better restaurants in the Baltimore area. Atmosphere was top notch, and the space is stunning. Service was excellent and the food was either above average or exceedingly delicious. Came for brunch as our party was delighted by the drink menu. No one had a bad meal some dishes stood out (the biscuits were the best I've ever had). 10/10 would recommend.

What a lovely experience! My husband and I went for my birthday and we had a wonderful time! The pear drink for happy hour was delightful, and when we moved to a table for dinner, our waitress Kim was extremely warm and friendly. All the drinks were delicious, the food was top notch, and Keith and Kim were so friendly and welcoming throughout the entire evening! This is our new favorite place in Baltimore! The banana cake, Thai seafood hot pot, and Parker rolls are things that you MUST order because they are to die for!

Gunther is such an amazing restaurant. Me and my wife Caroline have lived in canton for 5 years and Gunther is our favorite restaurant in the city. Keith and the staff are so welcoming. Five star restaurant with a local family bar feeling. We are always looking forward to going back. The menu is never a disappointment and drinks are always amazing!

Our favorite restaurant hands-down. We've been coming here for 8-9 years and the food, service and atmosphere are excellent and consistent, very hard to do year after year in my opinion. It is a hidden gem. When we lived in the city we dined here multiple times per month, also had an event upstairs in their private space as well a few years back- and since moving to the county we still come because there is no place that comes close in the county unfortunately. And their desserts are always so special with so much love and care put in, we just went this past weekend and got to try their holiday pavlova, which was amazing. And our 6-year-old also loves going-and they offer a kids menu.

Five stars for Gunther & Co. — amazing atmosphere, killer drinks, and a cheeseburger that might just be the best in Maryland! Special shoutout to our bartender Morgan for excellent service and top-tier cocktails. Highly recommend! 🍔🍸✨

Ordered the burrata to start and it was so yummy. Highly recommend. We got the “Something in the way” and the “Smoking monkey,” for drinks and would definitely order again. The ribs were a special (pictured) would order again, but the pasta with mushrooms was just okay.

Thai Hot Pot: 10/10 delicious! Roasted Chicken: 7/10 (the carrots were very hard and undercooked) but the flavor was good 👍 Steak Frittes: 9/10 delicious! (Chimichurri was 10/10) Overall the dishes all had fresh ingredients and decent portions!

Came for brunch on a Saturday and it was wonderful! We had delicious cocktails and shared three entrees. The duck confit is an absolute must! The eggs Benedict was a little disappointing (needed a softer biscuit and more hollandaise sauce!) and the Apple and beet salad was lovely! Service was attentive as well! Would return for cocktails and dinner menu!

I decided to try a restaurant in Canton. The atmosphere was pleasant, and I liked the concept of the brick walls. I started with a Baileys on the rocks, and as you can see from the photos, I had a glass full of ice with only a shot of Baileys. Yes, I sat at the bar. Next, I tried the passion fruit lemonade. This restaurant offers a limited menu for brunch, so I would recommend coming for dinner; however, on the day I went, I was told they were closing early for a private event. After studying the menu for a while, I selected the Caesar salad. It doesn't have the usual Caesar taste. The dressing was green and had a tart taste to it. Also, they used baby spinach, and they added pickled onions. Next, I ordered a hamburger well done, but it wasn't, and my fries were overcooked. I enjoyed the frozen lemon meringue tart. Also, I tried the biscuits, and they were hard and cold.

We booked this restaurant for my husband’s birthday. What an underwhelming experience. The food was ok. The grilled octopus and the steak frites were good. The tagliatelle came out lukewarm and in a small portion. The drink was ok. All definitely overpriced for the quality. The staff also very underwhelming. The waitress super cold and not interested in us, We were seated in this small bar area and after a while I realized that something was wrong because it looked nothing like the nice pictures on the website. Turns out that instead of seating us in the main dining room the just sat us at the bar! It was my husband’s birthday and we came a long way for this restaurant; no one even acknowledged that it was his birthday until the very end when I complained that we must be in the wrong area and they finally took a look at our reservation. Not the experience I was hoping for on his special day. Will not be going back.

This review is specifically directed at the manager who spoke with me on 4/9/2025, but unfortunately made no real effort to address my concerns. I’ve dined at this establishment three times now. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Morel Mushroom & Ramp Tagliatelle Pasta, with added chicken and shrimp. To my surprise, after just two bites, the noodles were practically gone. When I brought this to the manager’s attention, I was told that the portion size is fixed—meaning the amount of pasta stays the same, even when protein is added. So essentially, I was left with a plate of mostly protein and hardly any pasta. The manager even commented, “Now you have a plate of protein,” as if that was an acceptable outcome for a $56 meal. The manager kept asking if there was “anything else” she could do—even after I had already clearly explained the issue. Let me be clear: repeatedly asking that question without actually addressing the problem is not a solution. It’s dismissive. A more thoughtful approach would have been to offer a bit more pasta or, at the very least, communicate this policy upfront—perhaps as a note on the menu. Even a small gesture like a complimentary glass of wine could have shown some level of care for the guest experience. Adding to the frustration, the menu advertised mushrooms in the dish, but there were none. Instead, it arrived with chicken, shrimp, peas, and bacon—nowhere close to what was described. To be completely transparent, I can’t help but think I may have been stereotyped as the reason for the poor customer service —perhaps they assumed I was just looking for a free meal. While that wasn’t my intention, if this had been a fine dining establishment, they likely would’ve either remade the dish or comped it, especially since I had only taken a couple of bites. The photo I’ve attached shows how little pasta remained after just two bites—visually backing up my experience. Offering just an ounce of pasta while upselling proteins like chicken, shrimp, or steak feels unreasonable. At the very least, balance the portion sizes accordingly. Please note that the food appears disarranged as I was attempting to look for the remainder of my pasta. For context, the total bill for our meal amounted to $259, plus 20% gratuity. My wife’s pork chop, while adequately cooked, was notably bland compared to previous visits, and the requested medium-well preparation was not honored, as the pork chop arrived closer to medium rare. I trust that this feedback will be taken seriously and that your establishment will review both the food portioning policies and the customer service response protocol. It is my hope that future patrons will not encounter the same issues and that this experience will lead to improvements in your operational practices.
